President Donald Trump is bemoaning what he believes is a lack of due process for "someone falsely accused."
Trump, in a tweet, appears to question the circumstances that led to the resignation of a senior aide who was accused of domestic violence..

Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?

That's the problem with law enforcement releases. The public gets to see an unedited narrative by police, an unflattering photo of the accused, and then..... nothing. Nothing, that is, unless the media sticks with the story (unlikely if they're not guilty) or the public attends the hearings and trials. It's all ass-backwards to the concept of innocent before guilty.
This is true. Many years ago I was hired by the Town of Ocean City. Within a week I was accused of sexual harassment and was under a dark cloud. Fortunately, there was an official investigation and it was determined that the woman who made the accusation was completely nuts and had done this many time before. I kept my job, she lost hers.
You should apply for a job at the whitehouse.
