Trump won't attend White House Correspondents' Association dinner
President Donald Trump says he won't be attending the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner this spring.
In a tweet on Saturday, the president doesn't give a reason but says he wishes "everyone well and have a great evening!"
The annual fundraiser for college scholarships mixes politicians, journalists and celebrities.

Given how badly he has been treated I have to say I don't blame him. Besides, historically these dinners have been more of a roast to the President and Press than anything else. He gets daily doses of this with lies topping it off. Who needs a roast as well - it's only more of the same.
I hope President Trump has a wonderful evening off with some quality time with family.
Thanks Mr. Trump for all you are doing for the American people.
I agree.
Good. Those nasty lying liberal media members will just unfairly bash Trump anyway. MAGA!
Ok so where exactly has Trump been "treated badly" by the press?
Great news, he needs to keep his distance from the Obama loving press.
Ditto....agree
This is not going to end well for POTUS or the people of the USA. Just saying.
Let those self adulating SOB's stew in their own vitriol.
And as an act of solidarity with President Trump, I will not attend that dinner as well.
10:30 PM - Under what rock have you been sleeping for the last year and a half?
The MSM assault on Trump has been relentless. Ironically, it was the discovery by the masses of the MSM's pro-Clinton, anti-Trump dishonesty that helped tip the balance in the election.
You can safely bet that Dan Blather and Pot Smelly will be there.
Why would the President go and subject himself to ridicule when they already ridicule him day in and day out? They have been negligent at best towards real news reporting and opted to fabricate stories (like the Russian Flag incident at CPAC.) I'd vote to cancel the event altogether. Given President Trump's win was with no help from most of them, why would he want to attend some ritzy soiree in a room of mostly traitors? He's much more at home with his Deplorables than the high-brow elites!
