I Will Not Be Attending The Tawes Festival In Crisfield This Year

Considering our own Governor Hogan refuses to support the Republican nomanee for President Donald Trump, I refuse to participate in any more events that include Governor Hogan and I suggest my fellow Republican Friends do the same.

If we ever want to send a message and prove we are not all A$$ kissers and political hacks, stay away. If there's not going to be a revolution in this country, what better way to send a message, (especially on a local level) to RINO's that us VOTERS aren't going to put up with this crap any more.

Free College in Wicomico County, even to ILLEGALS, (yes, you heard me right) with only a 2.0 grade average to boot, I think we've had just about enough of this crap. If an ILLEGAL has lived in the County for TWO years, they get FREE COLLEGE! That's right, just ask your County Council or Executive.

Stay away from the Tawes Festival Republicans or you will get Blogged. We'll be watching from afar.

I'm telling you,the entire cancer ordeal changed him.Think what you like, but people don't simply change for no reason. No medically trained professional would concur with me,but I know what I know.

9:09, maybe they don't agree with you because you're wrong? Please elaborate on how, "you know what you know"

I will be happily attending this years' Crab Fest.

Not everything is about partisan politics.

Anonymous said...

I will not be going. I'm not to happy with the way some Republicans are acting in support of the new POTUS.

Anonymous said...

Nothing but a bunch of drunks there anyway.

Anonymous said...

He's an establishment guy. PERIOD! !!! Say and do ANYTHING to get votes. Then do as you like afterwards. Sickness or not. People don't change. He lied to get in and thinks people will forget before election is here again.

Anonymous said...

Nope, won't be going - too many drunks, too much Hogan the RINO, too hot, lots of reasons but mainly the second one.

Anonymous said...

Great idea! If Hogan doesn't want to support the candidate (Trump) that the people of his state choose than he needs to know how upset people are with him. Let's not forget that Millard Tawes was a democrat and this clam bake is all about there party.

Anonymous said...

The only way I would attend is if Trump was going to be there.

Anonymous said...

Even though I have like and supported the good governor, I agree with this post.
It reminds me of the good Judge Jeanine (the best of the best) stated she respects Comey, but does not agree with his decision. Hannity replied, "how can you respect him?"

Prays continue for Gov. Hogan...Hogan Strong!

Anonymous said...

Hogan is doing a great job, and you all know it.

He can't support Trump? His decision.

Anonymous said...

I refuse to even call him governor anymore. He's hogan until he starts acting like a respectable member of the GOP. He has showed his true colors by not supporting Donald Trump and it's ugly. By not supporting Trump he's endorsed the liar and that goes to show what dishonesty lurks in his own heart. Good people do what they can to make sure clinton the liar doesn't win.

i'm going to do one better, i'm not going to vote for him again.

I had always stated in the past that I liked Governor O'Malley, as a man. I had also stated very openly, (even to him in person) I can't stand his politics but as a man, a father and husband, I had a lot of respect for him that way.

With Hogan, he too is an incredible man, father and husband. However, while he has done numerous things to better Maryland, he should have kept his mouth shut when it came to Trump.

We ALL gathered in support of Hogan to be our next Governor and he should respect that. Instead, he is smacking all Republicans in the face and couldn't care less.

So let's see WHO is a real Republican who stands up for what they believe in. I will have plenty of people there who will be taking plenty of pictures.

From a former Hogan supporter, I am very disappointed with Hogan's decision to not back Donald Trump. Trump is the only light of Hope America has to turn around from all the ugly political corruption in our great country.
To not back the presumptive Leader of the Republican Party is an endorsement for Crooked Hilary. We have been sold another bill of goods by our present Governor.

I have no respect for Hogan, not even as a (step) father and a husband. He's being a sore loser. THat is not ever a good trait and is a poor example to both his family and the residents of MD. The voters of MD voted for Donald Trump and even if he doesn't like it he should respect that. He's not an honorable person. He should be at the convention representing the voters in MD who gave Trump his MD victory. I'm not going to the feast but if I were there and I saw Hogan I would stay as far away from him as possible.

Queensgirl52 said...

Let me understand this. You're promoting the boycotting of a local event with a long tradition because the governor (who has nothing to do with the event) will be there. Your belief that Trump is the end-all, be-all doesn't mean that all Republicans have to support him. I sure as hell see why you do, though. The phrase "cut from the same cloth" comes to mind.

JoeAlbero said...

Queensgirl52, It is MY choice. It is what I stand for. The media is promoting Hogan will be at the Tawes Festival instead of supporting his Republican Convention. Hogan represents all of us and he ran as a staunch republican, that was never a secret. Maryland will NOT be represented and IMHO this is a smack in the face to our party.

Someone needs to stand their ground and I am the very first media source in the state to do just that.

Anonymous said...

So wait... it's a bad thing that our governor is supporting not just a MD event but an Eastern Shore event INSTEAD of using tax dollars to take him and his political entourage to something out of state? I say GO HOGAN!!

Anonymous said...

This right here^^

Anonymous said...

I'm not going. The same people doing the same thing their just older doing it. Same few women will be drinking wine and hugging every man that's not their husbands. Same men will be ass kissing for know reason while offering free legal advice. It will be hot hot hot and overpriced.

Anonymous said...

Do you people think Trump is a real Republican?

JoeAlbero said...

11:45, REALLY? The Governor is supporting the Eastern Shore, just because of this event? Where's the INDUSTRY/JOBS? As usual, there's a lot going on over the Bay Bridge but not here. Crime is through the roof. Heroin is completely out of control, businesses have been closing like there's no tomorrow here and we've had how many visits from the Governor since he was elected? Have you heard ANY media source here on the Shore question the difference between O'Malley and Hogan?

Just wait and see what is continuing in Salisbury for SPECIAL INTERESTS. The Governor needs to concentrate, (along with his huge staff) on solutions for the Shore. They don't care because of the revenue Ocean City brings the state.

You poor people have absolutely no clue how to hold your elected officials accountable. Ask your County Executive and Council, Mayor and Council, WHERE ARE THE JOBS YOU PROMISED?

I have yet to see a truly qualified candidate answer the prayers of the Eastern Shore. I clearly see why the Eastern Shore Taxpayers are never heard. This is the only place good people can voice there opinions because you wouldn't dare do so with your Facebook name in the Daily Times, WBOC or WMDT comments. I wonder why?

I'm not a coward, what are you?

Anonymous said...

I am not going, but how about if the people that do go tell Mr Hogan how they feel? Let him know you won't vote for him again. Let him know he didn't need to make his opinion public if he wasn't going to support the nominee. Let him know he can always repeal O'Malley's automatic gas hike. Tell him what you think.

Anonymous said...

WHERE ARE THE JOBS YOU PROMISED?

Do you ask Andy Harris that question??

Anonymous said...

Joe Downtown SBY is booming. There is a job haha

Anonymous said...

Hogan is a sore loser. He needs to grow up and start acting like an adult instead of a child who didn't get his way. If I were Maryland's First Lady I would go and I would make a huge deal out of it. I would be there representing this state and the voters who overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump in MD and who also voted for my husband. But that's me. I don't put up with any man's nonsense.

JoeAlbero said...

1:04, I certainly have. I also asked Kratovil and the other guy before him. Sorry, his name slips me at the moment. I have asked ALL our elected officials this question. When I do it's almost like a light bulb just turned on, then I hear excuses or false promises.

1:08, LMAO, thanks for the chuckle.

Anonymous said...

There isn't much Harris can do about jobs on the shore. What he and others in Congress could do is what Donald Trump is proposing with taxes on imports to this country but we all know Obama would just veto it.

Anonymous said...

Valid points about jobs, drugs, etc-- however that's not why you said you were not going to attend. As you stated in your original post, you were not attending because the Governor is refusing to support Donald Trump.

Anonymous said...

Joe, Wayne Gilchrest (R) was before Kratovil.

1:38 PM - Obama can't veto what isn't proposed and passed. The Congressional Republicans (including Harris) haven't even tried to do anything about employment. No bills, no ideas, nothing.

JoeAlbero said...

I think you are wrong, he has always been a RINO. I voted for Craig in the Primary and had to vote for Hogan in the General Election. If there is another Republican for the next Primary I will vote for him as well.

Jackie Welfonder, Shelli Neal, Shawn Bradley and Muir Boda will be there loving on Jim Ireton, Chuck Cook and the rest of the Democrats. That's what you need the pictures of.

This is when Hogan lost my vote. The damn RINO caved in with RINO Gov. Nikki Haley.

From the Baltimore Sun

Hogan wants to recall Confederate plates in Maryland

Gov. Larry Hogan will pursue action to stop the state from issuing license plates bearing images of the Confederate battle flag, aides said Tuesday, as momentum seemed to swing decisively against the controversial symbol of a divided America.

I'm with Joe, if Hogan really cared for the Eastern Shore then he should have pushed Under Armour to Wicomico County. After all Hogan and Bob Culver are best buddies. At least that is what dummy Culver likes people to think.

HUH 2:58? Congress (GOP sponsored) has passed many bills MANY MANY bills aimed at creating jobs by trying to deregulate many industries and services and they were all vetoed by Obama.

JoeAlbero said...

4:59, For what it's worth, my Son built the owner of Under Armor's 23,000+ sq. ft. home in the Easton area. It's their summer home and they LOVE the Shore. It sure would have been nice to see the Shore in the running as an option.

Stay off the highway if you are not going to the feast, because everyone is driving home drunk at the end of the day and the police are not supposed to interfere. That feast is nothing but a Who's-Who of Somerset county's most prominent alcoholics sucking up to politicians. Crisfield is Trump country,Joe.Ride down there sometime and see all the yards with Trump signs. It's too bad this event can't draw him in,he would get a lot of support.
On the upside, have you ever seen a politician come to Crisfield when he wasn't running for an election? Besides that Jim Ireton? I imagine the city manager will be there if it involves food someone else paid for.

Anonymous said...

It was okay when Hogan was just a man of the people, not a politician, when he ran, but when someone else who is not a politician looks like they may make it Hogan won't vote for him. The Republican party MADE Trump sign a paper that he wouldn't run as an Independent if he lost the Republican nomination, but now that it looks like he has the nomination, they are coming out of the woodwork saying, "Well, I certainly am not supporting HIM."

Well, I will still be voting MY party, Republican, but I won't be voting for the people who don't support THEIR party. I'm with you, Joe. Won't be attending the DRUNK party in Crisfield either.

It sure is strange that there is never a MSP roadblock coming out of Crisfield afterwards. HA

Hogan is a hypocrit. For a supposed novice he's learned the ropes of corruption and shameless pander pretty quick.

Anonymous said...

Local F.O.P.s not attending this year. Interesting

Anonymous said...

I follow your point Joe but must disagree.

Hogan won because of the revulsion voters, of both parties, felt about O'Malley, and because Brown was a lackluster candidate. O'Malley was nuts; Frosh is bat crazy.

For Hogan to repeat, which is in our best interests as opposed to whatever radical the Democrat Socialists run, he needs to 1) keep the Republican vote and 2) attract even more independent and Democrat votes.

This isn't Texas or Wyoming; we're a Blue state with Red on the coast and in the mountains. Similar to Christie getting elected and re-elected in NJ. Trump got the most votes here and elsewhere so he has earned my support.

MD is unlikely to cast its electoral votes for Trump even if he walked across the surface of the Bay without getting his feet wet but we can elect a Republican senator if we pull together.

Hogan isn't on the Trump bandwagon yet but he has plenty of company from other Republican officeholders at this point. The saying is that 'all politics is local.' I think that's where Hogan is coming from; he'll have no influence in DC or Annapolis if he doesn't get re-elected. So I'm cutting him some slack. Hogan's position doesn't hurt Trump.

Attended the clambake for a number of years with my previous private sector employer. It was a good opportunity to share a few words with officeholders face to face. Viewed from that perspective this might be a great year to go and to share concerns directly with the gov, his staff or other candidates. They get a lot of filtered info so face to face has impact.

JoeAlbero said...

11:00, You should be a politician, if your already not?

If you think for one second that people are going to go there and tell the Governor they are not happy about this or that, then you are a fool.

Just like right now, in this comment section, YOU are too afraid to use or sign your name. You hide behind anonymous because you are too afraid to be accountable for your statements. You actually think someone is going to go face to face with our Governor, (whose time will be very limited there) and express their disgust.

Crisfield/Tawes is a brown nosing event, period. I have attended for 10 years on and off and the fact that this is NOT an election year, Governors rarely ever attend on non election years, especially if their a more important GOP Convention.

So you did not sell me on your anonymous comment at all. Better luck next time.

Anonymous said...

Joe, I agree with you 100 percent! Hogan says he's going to concentrate on MD but if our whole country goes down the tubes what good is that going to do.? I pray he will change his mind and back Trump! We are not voting for a preacher or necessarily someone we like. We are voting for a strong leader who truly wants the best for our country . Trump most definitely has those qualifications!0

Anonymous said...

No way..he was a jerk before the cancer

Anonymous said...

Joe you are so right about this "clambake".You won't see a single cop car around when all the drunks depart town. It's mostly a bunch of locals behaving badly.Apparently it is okay to be a drunkard and flirt with other peoples spouses openly as long as you have "pull" around here.

Anonymous said...

The people in the projects love the clambake because they "sell" parking spaces on HUD property to visitors. The Housing Authority should not allow this "hustling".
