A Viewer Writes...

At school yesterday I asked if I was allowed to put "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year" on the outdoor front sign. I was told, "No."

Yet I noticed on the Wicomico Board of Education website there was a post sharing a "Thanksgiving" wish for all. And I was permitted to put the same word on the school sign for November.
I find this to be unfair & offensive!

Thanksgiving is not a religious holiday but Christmas is.

When did Jesus EVER celebrate his birthday. Come on. This article is silly. Instead of worrying about this, worry about Hildabeast Clinton being your next President.

Christmas is not it is SantA Claus and giving gifts.

Were you planning on putting Happy Hanukkah as well? That actually comes first.

Do you want signs in front of the school when it is a Muslim holiday?

2:18 This is not a muslim country. It is a country that was founded on Christian principles and the sooner people get back to those principles, the better off we will all be.

2:30pm you are VERY wrong. The majority of founding fathers were deists or heavily influenced by deism. The Constitution is written purposely to exclude religion in fact.

2:30 This country is not the theocracy you want it to be. We are country of many religions not just Christian.

What in the world does a Thanksgiving wish share with a Merry Christmas wish? Being so incredibly sensitive is what is terribly wrong with today's USA.

Sorry, but Thanksgiving is a religious holiday, but not as obvious as, say, Christmas or Easter. The thanks that were given were offered up to God for the success of the colony. They weren't thanking themselves or the native Americans, they were thanking God.

I love the fact people worry about stuff like this then vote the same people in who tell them no. BRILLIANT.

They were thanking the earth for giving them an abundance of food.

It should include christmas, hanukkah, kwanza and mawlid. Covers most everyone.
