Glen Ave. Road Closure Announced for High School Commencements

Salisbury, MD – The Wicomico Youth & Civic Center is scheduled to host commencement ceremonies for area high schools on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30. Wicomico High School’s commencement ceremony is on Friday, followed by James M. Bennett, Mardela High and Parkside High on Saturday.
To protect the safety of graduates and their families, a portion of Glen Ave. in front of the WY&CC will close from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 29 and again on Saturday, May 30 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The closed portion runs from Civic Avenue to St. Albans Drive.

Why didn't they close the road when WorWic had their graduation a few weeks ago.

BTW who ever designed that parking lot at the old mall should be fired. It's like a maze. There is no way to cut across the parking lot to get to your vehicle and if you go down the wrong isle to try to get to your car you can't. There are large drainage ditches all over the parking lot. It's a cluster!

Permanently close that section of Glen Ave and make it an addition to the CC parking lot.That way no one will have to dodge traffic while walking to or from an event.
