Yesterday my Grandson and I took a stroll Downtown.
We walked through the Downtown Plaza heading east towards Rt 13, (as shown above). As we stood on the corner, ALL of the lights were green, yet ALL of the signs said, Do Not Walk.
Now, if you look at the traffic light straight ahead on the left, it's green. If you look at the one on the right, (north and south traffic) it too is green.
So now your riding your bicycle, skateboard or even walking with a stroller or jogging and you see a GREEN light ahead, what happens if you just proceed? After all, the traffic light is green and your going at a decent speed, you'll make it, RIGHT? It's certainly not yellow/amber!
I'd like to know just who decided to place a TRAFFIC light in the EAST bound direction when this is a ONE WAY STREET?

I see your point. Especially the stroller part. There's usually cars parked in Division street and if you are pushing a stroller it would reach the road before you do.

The stoplights are just like the streets & roads in the City of Salisbury. DILAPIDATED!!!!

Received a photograph speeding ticket at the RT 50 near Wi middle back in early November. Just now getting the summons in January. Isn't there a time limit that these should be sent?

I see exactly what you are saying about the green light facing in the same direction as the one-way Main street. I have to say that authorities that approved and placed this contraption should be checked for substance abuse. Seriously, who in their right mind would place a traffic device directing traffic - where there are no options for a motorist to chose.
Joe - you are right, the signal device needs to be removed ASAP.
They couldn't have insulted anyone's intelligence that bad for people who live around here. They don't have that much intelligence to be insulted in the first place.
Unless of course you spell it out for them like I just have, then they might understand. No guarantees tho.
