Salisbury Kennel Club Charitable Trust

The Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club Charitable Trust donated 2 Heat Sensor monitors for the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department K-9 Units. President, Julia Crawford presented these to Sheriff Mike Lewis. This makes a total of three that they have. They currently are in need of more to assure their K-9 partners are safe when they need to be left in the car when an officer has to leave the vehicle.

What? Waste of money! The sheriffs deputies leave their cars running while not in use. And that's not even the dog handlers

The electronics kill the battery if not left running.

Not when the vehicle is wired correctly. When the car is off and key removed everything should shut off.

This is in response to the loss of police dogs due to mechanical failure of the police vehicle. When the officer is performing duties not needing the dog, the dog is left in the vehicle with all systems operating. If the vehicle fails, the dog dies from heat (this happens to children, too.) The Kennel Club is devoted to dog safety. DONATIONS GLADLY ACCEPTED...
