You Know It's Raining Hard When You See This

So far there's no rain in Ocean City but Delmar is experiencing a downpour. What's it like where you live?

That was one of the most intense storms I've seen since about 14 years ago here in north Salisbury! LOTS of big lightning! Rain you can't see through!

Cool!

No rain in West O.C. yet.

Time to clean out your gutters.

A Miata and a Prius, Joe?????

I hope those are Jen's cars!

LOL!

He wishes it was a Miata! It's a BMW ragtop which only saw light of day because of the success of Miatas.

BTW, 4th generation Miata gets worldwide introduction September 3rd.

Prius is a niche vehicle and has many positive qualities; my son & his wife have one and it works for them due to city living.

Signed,
A very happy Miata owner.

8:07, First of all her name is Jennifer, not Jen.

Secondly, that's a BMW Z4. Maybe you should look it up on the Internet.

That Prius, yes, it is Jennifer's car and as many vehicles I own and have owned in the past, it is by far the coolest vehicle we have ever owned.

When I was in my late teens the 240 Z's came out.For that time they were quite fast.for some reason I have seen more of them being restored lately than in recent years.Cars like that and others bring back Oaks Drive In memories.Sorry you missed that place Joe,but I'm sure you had places like the Oaks where you came from, maybe even better.

Insane lightning in Salisbury earlier, thunder set my car alarm off a couple times. While we're on the subject of Miatas...the new ones look nice. Had a friend way back who got a hand me down red Miata and we teased him endlessly.

Mine were doing the same exact thing. got the ladder out in the rain and unclogged them. Problem solved.

Miatas are chick cars. End of story.

8:18 Do you listen, and sing along to Barbara Streisand? Proud of owning a Miata? What is this world coming to? Real men are drying up...

Sounded like a few strikes of lightning struck right over my house, a few minutes later a fire truck was dispatched to a couple streets down. I didn't investigate where they were exactly.

Your real men, 7:21, are total fakes.

To 4:51 am & 7:21 am

All of the 2 seat or larger convertibles on the market owe a big debt to Mazda & the Miata. As a small company they took a big gamble and revived fun driving. Over 900,000 sold last 25 years. Encouraged the bigger players to create their copy cat versions.

Local Miata owners include a number of retired military and several on active duty. Many have or had other noteworthy cars.

Mine stables with an air-cooled turbo convert, a 3 letter German sedan and a SUV; it's the most fun and most reliable of the quartet.

Each weekend more Mazdas are racing than any other brand; most are Miatas. Don't knock it until you've driven one. Admittedly it's not a land yacht so if that's your pleasure have fun.

Re: Streisand; early on she was a gifted singer; her political choices are poor; not on my playlist.
