It has been a big spring in the long process of restoring oysters in the Chesapeake Bay.
The Horn Point Lab Oyster Hatchery produced a record numbers of baby oysters - or "spat" - last month.
"We had the best month of May we've ever had, for lots of reasons," says
Don "Mutt" Meritt, who's in charge of the oyster hatchery program.

I've been listening to this crap for 35 years. All they do is give twisted information to keep getting money from the bay restoration fund. When I was working on the water we would catch our limit by noon and be home by 1. If you can get 4 bushels you did well now a days.
This information does nothing but mislead the public.
