This week, Rep. Andy Harris (MD-01) participated in the House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Disability Assistance hearing on the proposed overhaul of the VA Compensation System to question administration officials on their claims processing backlog. Harris was invited to the hearing by Subcommittee Chairman Jon Runyan (NJ-03).
“As a physician and veteran I want to work with Veterans Administration officials to bring their disability determination process up-to-date and help to reduce the backlog of cases before it grows even larger,” said Rep. Andy Harris. “We have an obligation to make every effort to help our veterans obtain the highest quality health care within a reasonable timeframe.”

Glad to hear you're onboard with this, Andy.
Please get in touch with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) rep-- they've got a thorough, comprehensive plan for dealing with this problem, and I can assure you that nobody is more acutely aware of the pitfalls and needs of the current system than they are.
Let them help-- they've already done most of the work.
I've been waiting 14 months for approval for a vet to make his house ADA compliant. Still waiting....
Our goverment has always forgotten the vet after he has served. If you serve, you should always have VA health care and what elseis needed. I was denied health care because I made too much. I served, that should not matter.
