Car buyers will have to pay dealers as much as $200 in transaction fees starting July 1, because of a budget provision approved by the General Assembly in its final moments of lawmaking last week. They'll pay more to title that car, too. Lawmakers also increased motor vehicle titling fees, to $100 — except for rental fleets, which are excused from the increase.

Pardon me for pointing this out, but it's amazing how the left waves their 'compassion for the poor' around like a banner, yet when the rubber meets the road, they soak them.
Do poor folk buy cars? Get drivers licenses? Have to buy tags? Gasoline?
All these things are going up significantly as a result of the legislation that has been passed by the Democrats (the Poor man's friends..)
And it will hit the poor folk right where it hurts.
Remember that when it's time to vote for more of this 'Hope and Change' stuff.
Well this is just another quality job by the people we put into office....In out fleet of cars & Trucks...Only ONE has been bought in Maryland in the last 12 years. The auto dealers here are crazy..and you can save THOUSANDS by buying out of state! Hell we had a Ford Crew Cab Diesel delivered from Salt Lake City and saved 4,000 dollar more that buying local....and that included the ranks of Preston, Sherwood, Carlton Massey and Koons Ford. Another truck we had shipped from Lexington KY and saved 5,600 and on average we save an average of 3-5000 per.......so Why in the world would I or any other person not shop out of state....Oh yea The reasoning for the price cost according to the dealers was (drum roll) "Service" Just to let you know they have to service the vehicle anyway!
Cost of tags are going up too. Significantly!
