Wolverines Wrestling Program Gears Up For Another Exciting Season

Registration is Open for Young Wrestlers in Grades 1-8

(Salisbury, MD)  The Wolverines Youth Wrestling program will begin another season of action and excitement beginning November 16, 2010 at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.  The program is open to children in grades first through eighth and will focus on fundamental wrestling skills, sportsmanship, competition, and pure enjoyment of the sport.  In addition, participants will increase self-esteem and self-confidence, along with improving strength, coordination, flexibility, and endurance.

The season will begin on Tuesday, November 16 and will conclude by early March, 2011.  Sessions will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the winter months at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center from 6-7:30pm.  Alternate weeknights may be used periodically during the season based on gym availability. 

Registration is now open at the Civic Center Box Office and on-line registration is also accepted at http://www.wicomicorecandparks.org/ through Active.com.  The cost of the program is $65 per child for Wicomico County residents and $70 per child for out-of-county residents.  Weekend tournaments are also available for wrestlers but require additional fees and increased parental involvement.
