Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On October 6, 2010 at approximately 1:33 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Hunan Delight Restaurant on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a robbery of a delivery person. Upon arrival the officers met with the delivery driver who advised that she was driving the delivery vehicle in the area of Johnson Street and Decatur Avenue when she was flagged down by two (2) suspects. The suspects approached her vehicle and one (1) proceeded to the driver’s side window while the other proceeded to the passenger side window. The suspect at the driver’s side window produced a handgun and threatened the victim advising her to give them all of her U.S. currency. The second suspect reached through the passenger side window and ransacked her pocketbook, taking the currency from the pocketbook. The suspects also took several cellular telephones before fleeing from the area on foot toward Truitt Street. The victim was not injured.

The suspects were described as:

Black male, dark complexion, 25 years of age, 6’00" tall,
weighing approximately 200 pounds. The suspect had short curly black hair and was wearing a white sleeveless undershirt and a black vinyl jacket with red and yellow stripes running horizontally across the front.
Black male, dark complexion, 25 years of age, 6’00" tall,
weighing approximately 200 pounds, wearing dark colored clothing with no further description.

On October 6, 2010 at approximately 6:30 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Walmart Department Store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers were advised by security personnel that employees of the business had observed the suspect take property from the store without making payment. The property was recovered and returned to the store.

ARRESTED: Sherian Jean Hicks, 38 years of age
Bivalve, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 1000)
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking  CC # 201000039793

On October 6, 2010 at approximately 8:39 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of W. Isabella St. and observed the below listed suspect who was known to the officers to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. The suspect was arrested and during a search of the suspect, incident to arrest, a quantity of suspected "crack"/cocaine was found in the suspect’s clothing.

ARRESTED: Anthony Deshawn Parsons, 18 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Wicomico Co. Circuit Court Bench Warrant-
Violation of Probation
Possession of cocaine with int. to distribute
Possession of cocaine

They just cutting out the middle man. Instead of girl working and paying taxes which go to bums like these, they just take it directly from her.

Decatur Avenue used to be nice in the early 70's,had family living over there.Now its all rentals and Section Eight Hud and looks awful
