Dear Recreation & Parks Stakeholder,
The process to reduce Wicomico County’s budget is complicated and ever changing. These changing dynamics will influence the extent to which County departments will absorb their fair share of the pending funding cuts.
It is the Department of Recreation & Parks intention to be transparent throughout this process. Unfortunately, until an exact amount to be cut from the budget is determined, it would be premature for us to meet with our stake holders. This has prompted me to postpone Wednesday evening’s (9/16/09) meeting. Our time and resources are valuable and should be reserved until the details are finalized.
Thank you in advance for your willingness to recommit yourselves to the Recreation & Parks mission. Know that we value what you do for our County and will communicate with you as the information is finalized for us.
