Deals, Deals, Deals!

So the big question of the day is, did YOU go out shopping yesterday, (the day after Christmas) and take advantage of the so called great deals out there?

I have to be honest with you, my Wife and I did stop at Sam's Club Friday and bought just a few small items. We walked out of there with $140.00 worth of items for about $50.00. I had been watching those monstrous ornaments in Sam's, you know, the ones that are so big you think, there's no way that's going to fit on a tree, so what the hell are they worth? There's two to a box and they're ALL the same. It's not like there's 10 or 20 of them to spread around a tree in the yard. Plus, they were about $29.00 a box. They dropped down to about $12.00 or so but just as I had thought, they were still loaded with them and no one had any of them in their carts when I looked around.

We then drove over to Target to look at the ornaments and walked out of there empty handed. Next we hit Michael's and spent $7.00 and that was it. A man can only take so much of that pansy kind of shopping but I do enjoy one on one time with my Wife and it's rare we get the opportunity to bark at one and other over stupid looking ornaments.

You know how it is guys. While we THINK these things are stupid and ugly, the Wife goes and decorates the tree year after year and you look at it and say, WOW, that darned thing looks pretty nice. Insert foot in mouth.

So tell us what you did on Friday. This should get real interesting. Hopefully everyone sees the HUMOR in this article.

I went to Wal Mart and saw a lot of empty shelves, and NOTHING marked down, but didn't look in the Xmas decorations dept. Looking at the traffic jam at the mall, I decided to wait a few days before going in... I think retailers will keep pricing up during "exchange" days, and lower them in a few days as things cool down.

You know what JR, I chose to delete that message. I was going to BLAST you but I thought, nah, he's just not worth it. So you're sitting there thinking, how does he know it was me? Because you're such an Idiot, you haven't figured out the program I have. You and I will be in Court soon enough and I will have in my hands enough evidence to put you behind bars for quite some time.

Recovered from a hang-over.

I saw the comment he put up about your wife. He's a sick sob. I'm glad you deleted it Joe.

I had a woman spit on my car window at Best Buy b/c she didn't like me trying to pull into the space next to her while she had her car door open. I didn't even pull all the way in, just enough to get my car out of the aisle so as not to block traffic. She went off on me and when I tried to shut her up by saying Merry Christmas, she screamed "F- you, we're Jewish" - that was a joy trying to explain to my six year old son. Luckily she chose to spit on my car while I was in the store, or else I may have hit a woman. Trash. We ended up just going home, b/c it ruined the mood. This town gets a little more like Jersey every day.

I was in Barnes and Noble yesterday. Of course I was looking for activity books for my nieces. Gotta tell you the woman in the children's department was rude and mean. So I went up to the information desk and someone very kind help me with what I was looking for. Went to Toys R Us after that. They didn't have much of a sale that I could see. So after that I headed for home. I just can't believe how rude people are these days. Makes me sick. I loved your post. It was funny.

For the first times in years there are no gifts to take back or exchange. We had a pleasantly relaxing day and my inlaws are staying with us to noot!

I did venture into Salisbury to go to Ollie's. My wife got me some combos, the cheese pretzel things and they had anew flavor. It was bacon, egg and cheese bisquit. They were awesome! I couldn't believe it. However, Ollie's was sold out of them so if anyone knows where I can get them I'd love to get more.

we waited until evening and ventured out -

at marshalls, i bent to pick up something off the floor and some woman went off swearing at me about being in her way. i saw picked over shelves and clothes, but there were a lot of $8 and $10 stickers on things. we bought a king size blanket for our bed that was 40% off, and some books for the kids - which were marked down, but not a lot.

we went to target and left empty handed.

at wal mart, we got a 6.5' pre-lit tree for $14.99, and a very nice, decorated 27" wreath for $12. (all 50% off the marked price.)

we looked at toys, and it looked like there were some decent deals. we just really didn't need anything.

however, outside of toys and christmas stuff, i didn't see many overall sales that were so great.

I quit going out some time ago the
days after Christmas. The cashiers
are tired, frazeled, & short tempered . Most of the people looking for bargains are
much the same. I decided it wasn't worth the chance of putting ones
life at risk. Decided instead to
take the time to help someone in
need.

I ventured out today....didn't see anything spectacular. Would like to have one of those wire trees for your yard w/ colored lights, but all I can ever find is white lights. Went in Walmart for an entertainment center, which they didn't have in stock (& wouldn't sell the display model), so I came home & ordered it online for $10 cheaper & shipped free to the store of my choice. Will go out again on MOnday & see if I can scoop up anything else.
