More Evidence The Blog Works
Remember the Post I put up yesterday about certain people smoking in City vehicles? Look what that driver is doing now. I have to be completely honest with you Folks, this is the very first time I have seen this guy do anything, other than drive his truck around. He passes my Office at least 5 to 6 times a day and finally the taxpayers are getting what they're paying out for, WORK!

"WORK"... barely.
This guy needs supervision , it
is apparent he doesn't have
the brains to go it alone.
How do these people get hired ?
Who the hell is in charge of human
resources ?
Is he spraying the weeds in the sidewalk cracks? Sure can't do that from a truck.

Actually, this guy is one of the few people I see constantly working. I arrive in the parking garage just before 7 each morning and he is either mowing the lawns, picking weeds, sweeping the garage,etc.. plus he's a nice guy. Give him a break.
I have known this guy for years and as anon 12:46 says, he works a lot....in the sun...in the heat...all year long. He would help anyone in a minute and is a nice guy. I also park in the garage and am downtown every day. One snapshot in time does not give the entire picture Joe. You'd have to follow him around to see what he really does!
The young man looks busy, I won't argue the working issue as I don't know him.
This is not picking on him personally, however is this a good presentation of a city employee (Again not personally busting his chops, I'm sure others dress this way). Can't the city appropriate enough money to give their employees a professional uniform with a name tag and identification just in case someone would like to praise him for his job with the city?
Again, first impressions mean a lot. Employees are only as good as their management prepares them for a job, and oversight to make sure policies are followed and the tools (uniforms) to follow the policies.
Blue jeans and a cut off shirt? Barrie why don't you spend some more money down in Crisfield. Screw your employees right? How are we sure this young man is on the payroll? No insurance is a liability.
Keep up the good work young man.
try to be a SPD cop. bet you wont last 45 days like a recent ex employee.
