Maryland State Police Investigating Grave Marker Thefts In Cecil County
According to a preliminary investigation, the thefts occurred sometime between Saturday and this morning at the Rosebank Cemetery, which is located at Telegraph and North East roads in Calvert, Maryland. A caretaker of the cemetery reported the thefts this morning after noticing they were missing from the grave sites.
The markers hold a miniature American flag and mark the graves of American service members. If anyone has information about the person(s) responsible or the location of the markers, please contact the Maryland State Police North East Barrack at 410-996-7800. Refer to case number 19-MSP-047045.
Woman found guilty after mailing white powder to Susan Collins following Kavanaugh vote
A jury in Maine found a woman guilty of sending threatening letters to Republican Maine Sen. Susan Collins after she voted to confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Suzanne Muscara, 37, was found guilty of sending a threatening letter to Collins’s home that was filled with white powder and a note that said, “AnthRAX!!! HA HA HA!!!”
Muscara’s letter was intercepted by FBI agents who had been screening Collins’s mail after a letter sent the week prior had also contained a threatening substance.
Muscara claimed she didn’t think anyone would read the letter and thought it was a harmless joke.

Republicans: Schiff cherry-picking transcript releases to damage Trump
The long-anticipated release of impeachment deposition transcripts did not assuage frustrated House Republicans, who complained that Democrats are issuing the documents out of order and cherry-picking those from witnesses critical of the president.
“It would seem to me to make sense to do them in the order that the depositions and the testimony was given to us,” Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio told reporters.
Republicans for weeks demanded that transcripts from the closed-door hearings be publicized, insisting the additional information would paint a more positive account of Trump’s dealings with Ukraine than House Democrats' selective leaking of deposition testimony had.
But with the first transcripts now available, Republicans are downplaying the impact of the new information.

The Trump administration is starting the process of leaving the Paris climate agreement, setting in motion a long-anticipated move to become the first country to exit the pact.
The State Department filed a notice Monday of its intention to the U.N. secretary-general. Under the terms of the agreement, the United States had to wait until Monday to submit the paperwork even though President Trump announced in June 2017 that he rejected the deal.
"President Trump made the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement because of the unfair economic burden imposed on American workers, businesses, and taxpayers by U.S. pledges made under the Agreement," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement.
Filing the paperwork starts a one-year countdown for the actual withdrawal that can become official one day after the November 2020 presidential election.

Honor veterans at Veterans Day Ceremony
SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County War Memorial Committee invites the community to join in honoring military veterans at a ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. The Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at the Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial, located directly in front of the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center at 500 Glen Ave. in Salisbury.
The ceremony, which is coordinated by the Wicomico County War Memorial Committee, includes patriotic music, prayer and remembrance to honor all veterans. Veterans Day is set aside to thank and honor living veterans who served honorably in the military, in wartime or peacetime.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside, in the Civic Center’s Midway Room.
Veterans Day, initially termed Armistice Day, was created to honor World War I veterans and celebrate the official ending of the First World War, which occurred at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, 1918. In 1954, after having been through both World War II and the Korean War, legislation was approved by the 83rd U.S. Congress to change the name from Armistice Day to Veterans Day – thereby making Nov. 11 a day in which all American veterans of wars could be honored.

North Carolina Sanctuary Cities Freed 500 Criminal Illegal Aliens This Year
More than 500 criminal illegal aliens were released back onto the streets of North Carolina this fiscal year by sanctuary cities, according to federal immigration officials.
Newly released data by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency reveals the degree to which sanctuary cities and counties in North Carolina are protecting criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation.
“Across North Carolina, local authorities refused to honor more than 500 detainers for foreign nationals during Fiscal Year 2019,” ICE officials wrote in a statement. “All of these detainer refusals are of persons criminally arrested by a law enforcement agency for a criminal offense beyond their violation of federal immigration law.”

Mark Zaid, the whistleblower's lawyer, told House Intelligence Committee ranking Republican Devin Nunes on Saturday that his client would be willing to answer questions from the Republicans in an effort to be as bipartisan as possible while remaining anonymous. Zaid offered for those questions to be "in writing, under oath and penalty of perjury."
Jordan claimed Sunday that, "Written answers will not provide a sufficient opportunity to probe all the relevant facts and cross examine the so-called Whistleblower. You don't get to ignite an impeachment effort and never account for your actions and role in orchestrating it. We have serious questions about this individual's political bias and partisan motivations and it seems Mark Zaid and Adam Schiff are attempting to hide these facts from public scrutiny."

The number represents the lowest amount of possible refugees accepted by America since the program’s creation in 1980.
Religious and humanitarian groups cried foul over the plan when it was first introduced by the State Department in September.
The Trump administration this year agreed to let in as many as 30,000 refugees. In the final year of the Obama administration, the refugee ceiling was 85,000.

The Cleveland Browns have dumped safety Jermaine Whitehead after he threatened a reporter and called him “cracker,” in a Twitter post on Sunday.
Whitehead posted his ill-advised reply to sports reporter Dustin Fox who was critical of the player’s tackling during the Brown’s loss to the Denver Broncos.
Replying to Fox’s claim that Whitehead’s effort at tackling was “a joke,” the player went on a rant filled with threats and name calling.
“Come get it in blood bitch made ass lil boy,” Whitehead tweeted. “I’m out there with a broken hand. Don’t get smoked fuck ass cracker.”

OCEAN CITY — In a community still coming to grips with the loss of one it its young pillars, an effort is underway to pursue legislation in his honor that might save lives in the future and provide some solace to those continuing to mourn.
Late last month, local resident Chris Trimper suffered an extreme allergic reaction during a reception following a golf tournament fundraiser at the Poseidon restaurant at the Ocean Downs Casino and did not survive. Trimper was administered an epinephrine auto-injector, or epi-pen, at the scene when paramedics arrived, but had suffered extreme seizures from the reaction.
Last weekend, hundreds turned out for the memorial service for Trimper at the Performing Arts Center in the Roland E. Powell Convention Center to remember the affable 42-year-old husband and father of three young children.
