The Fed Has No Clue How to Create or Control Inflation

Let me let you in on a little secret...

Central Bankers don’t actually WANT inflation.

The Fed’s “inflation target of 2%” is a giant ruse. The Fed has no clue how to create or control inflation. They even admitted this in the minutes of the July 2017 FOMC meeting.

So if the Fed has no clue how to create or control inflation… why even bother with a target to begin with?

Because having a “target” gives the Fed some goal that it can claim to pursue, while it papers over declining living standards in the United States.

Put another way, the inflation is a distraction from the real schemethat has been playing out since the early ‘70s.

That scheme involves issuing endless amounts of debt and credit to cover up the fact that incomes are not rising in line with costs of living in the US.

We see this all the time (why are two parents required to work to makes end meet when one parent could cover an entire family back in 1970?) but because the erosion of “quality of life” is so gradual, no one ever flips out.

The problem with this scheme (issuing endless debt and credit) is that if it persists long enough… REAL inflation hits.

And that is a MASSIVE problem for the Fed.

Why?

Because bonds trade based on inflation. When inflation rises, bond yields rise to account for it.

"It's Ridiculous" - Parents Furious As Australia Seeks To Ban Use Of "Boy" Or "Girl" In Books

That is an example of the furious reaction from parents in Victoria, Australia where the local city council has announced plans to audit children’s books and toys with a plan to ban them from kindergartens, schools and libraries if they don’t meet strict gender guidelines.

The Herald Sun reports that the local government's justice warriors were inspired by research from the Australian National University that showed children were influenced by gender stereotyping, and urged a ban on the terms 'boy' and 'girl'.

The research suggests educators should “minimise the extent to which gender is labelled” and avoid telling children what girls and boys should do.

Keith Ellison: Republicans Doing Bible Studies In Jails Are Making It Harder For Dems To Win

Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison said at a Democratic event Monday that Republicans doing “Bible studies” in prisons is hurting Democrats’ chances at winning voters.

You know, back when I was in Minnesota State Legislature, I got the impression that maybe Democrats could possibly have an advantage with folks in this area who might vote for us,” Ellison said. “Not true. We will have to fight for their vote like we do with every other vote because I learned that a lot of Republicans will go to jails and do Bible studies and other things.”

5 Supplements That Help Fight Diabetes

Nearly 30 million Americans have diabetes and 31 percent of them use complimentary or alternative medicines, including supplements to manage their condition. Experts say that in many cases, supplements can help manage type 2 diabetes, the insulin-resistant form of the disease which is the most common in the United Sates.

"There have been countless studies on this topic," says Dr. Jennifer Stagg, a leading expert on gene modification and author of Unzip Your Genes: 5 Choices to Reveal a Radically Different You. "Typically, when you have so many studies, you'll find some are positive along with the negative. However when you take the time to read the papers to determine how they were conducted, some supplements stand out as offering the best evidence and the best safety record with glycemic control."

Always check with your physician before adding any supplements to your regimen and don't stop taking your medication.

Here are five well-reviewed supplements that Stagg recommends that can help manage diabetes:

The U.S. Is Shackled By Historic Debt

Do you feel as if you’re drowning in debt? It’s worse than you think.

The U.S. government reached a new milestone when our country’s debt topped $21 trillion for the first time. The national debt grows by an average of $17,000 every second – more than some people earn in an entire year. That’s only an average, and During the past eight months, the national debt grew by $52,000 per second. And the trend toward bigger and higher spending is only getting worse.

The ratio of national debt to GDP is at 105 percent, larger than the economy as a whole. In 1981, the national debt comprised a mere 31 percent of GDP. We are not moving in the right direction. The Treasury Department has plans to borrow $1 trillion this year, an 84% jump from last year.

When individuals borrow, they can use the money wisely to increase their wealth. That’s what happens when people make good investments. What does the government do with all this money? While some of it may be put to good use, the National Science Foundation’s spending $856,000 on having mountain lions run on treadmills can’t be termed prudent spending. Nor can the $2 billion spent on former President Obama’s healthcare website. In 2017, Brooklyn, NY spent $2 million on a 400 square feet restroom in a public park. Flushing money down the toilet?

Tomato sauce is good for your gut: Cooked is healthier than raw for gut bacteria

Cooked tomato sauce boosts the levels of healthy bacteria in the gut, according to research.

Spanish scientists found that tomatoes have a better probiotic effect in the gut when fried into a sauce, rather than when eaten raw.

Although a healthy bacteria in the gut prevents some antioxidants being absorbed from tomato sauce, the sauce boosts the effectiveness of that same bacteria.

The researchers say this makes cooked tomato sauce better for gut health than raw tomatoes, because the cooking process preserves the important chemical which gives tomatoes their red colour.

Understanding how both cooking and digestion affect the health benefits of food would help manufacturers make health-boosting foods, the researchers say.

Another 'Win' for Socialism in Venezuela

Venezuela held its national “elections” Sunday, and we’re shocked — shocked — to report that President Nicolas Maduro remains in office.

Food shortages. Parents leaving their children at orphanages to be fed. Military monthly pay at $10. No medicine. No toilet paper. Inflation estimated to by 653% with currency that is virtually worthless. Electrical blackouts. Add to this list a rigged election to keep a corrupt tyrant in power and you have the poster child of socialism’s failure: the country of Venezuela.

Why should Americans care about the implosion of this South American nation whose population of 30 million is smaller than that of California? That simple: Venezuela is the result of the policies pushed by American Democrats.

Since 1999, two million Venezuelans have fled. Crime is soaring as the masses suffer overwhelming poverty. The only people who have protections and provisions are those in power.

Venezuela remains rich in one particular resource: oil. But even that’s in serious trouble. In December 2017, America was importing 475,165 barrels of crude oil daily from Venezuela’s state-run oil company, PDVSA. That had fallen from almost 800,000 barrels daily just one year earlier. Venezuela is a nation with a capacity for vast wealth. But corruption metastasized and its government structure is killing this nation and its people.

How does a nation holding the world’s largest volume of oil reserves, as ranked in 2017 by OPEC and the U.S. Energy Information Administration, have such an impoverished people and unstable government?

WSJ Asks "Was Trump's Campaign 'Set Up'?"

The Wall Street Journal continues to counter the liberal mainstream media's anti-Trump-ness with Kimberly Strassel leading the charge, dropping uncomfortable truth-bombs in a forum that is hard for the establishment to shrug off as 'Alt-Right' or 'Nazi' or be 'punished' by search- and social-media-giants.

Earlier in the week, with Trump now calling out the debacle as "possible bigger than Watergate," Strassel tweet-stormed some key points that everyone - leftist and right - should consider... (that's wishful thinking)...

1. So a few important points on that new NYT "Hurricane Crossfire" piece. A story that, BTW, all of us following this knew had to be coming. This is DOJ/FBI leakers' attempt to get in front of the facts Nunes is forcing out, to make it not sound so bad. Don't buy it. It's bad.

2. Biggest takeaway: Govt "sources" admit that, indeed, the Obama DOJ and FBI spied on the Trump campaign. Spied. (Tho NYT kindly calls spy an "informant.") NYT slips in confirmation far down in story, and makes it out like it isn't a big deal. It is a very big deal.

3. In self-serving desire to get a sympathetic story about its actions, DOJ/FBI leakers are willing to provide yet more details about that "top secret" source (namely, that spying was aimed at Page/Papadopoulos)--making all more likely/certain source will be outed. That's on them

4. DOJ/FBI (and its leakers) have shredded what little credibility they have in claiming they cannot comply with subpoena. They are willing to provide details to friendly media, but not Congress? Willing to risk very source they claim to need to protect?

5. Back in Dec., NYT assured us it was the Papadopoulos-Downer convo that inspired FBI to launch official counterintelligence operation on July 31, 2016. Which was convenient, since it diminished the role of the dossier. However .

Tucker Carlson: 'MS-13 Is a Living Reminder That the Left's Position on Immigration Is Fundamentally a Lie'

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson challenged Democrats that objected to President Donald Trump’s remarks earlier this week about the gang MS-13.

Carlson said the inspiration for that backlash aimed at Trump for those comments was that it challenged the left’s view on immigration — an idea that all immigrants are good.

“Why would the left be defending the country’s most violent street gang?” Carlson said. “Trump has made them irrational. That is part of it. But the left also senses a threat to its basic worldview. MS-13 is a living reminder that the left’s position on immigration is fundamentally a lie. The media tell you every day that every immigrant, legal or not, is a future brain surgeon or tech company founder. Therefore, immigration controls are unnecessary.”

U.S. Imported More than 10M Immigrants in Last Decade, Exceeding the Population of NYC

The United States has imported more than 10 million legal immigrants in the last ten years, federal data circulated by the White House reveals.

Since 2008, the U.S. has admitted and permanently resettled close to 10.8 million legal immigrants, a foreign population that exceeds the entire population of New York City, New York — where more than 8 million residents live.

Of those roughly 10.8 million legal immigrants resettled across the U.S., the majority derives from the process known as “chain migration,” where newly naturalized citizens are allowed to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the country.

Nearly 7.8 million legal immigrants have been imported to the U.S. through chain migration since 2008.

Another 478,000 legal immigrants have entered the U.S. through the Diversity Visa Lottery program in that same time period. The Visa Lottery randomly gives out 50,000 visas every year to foreign nationals from a multitude of countries, including those with known terrorism problems – such as Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Yemen, and Uzbekistan. Visa Lottery winners have undergone only minor screening from immigration officials, even when their ideology is hostile to Americans laws and culture.

Al Gore urges graduates to ‘terminate’ Trump presidency early

Speaking to 2018 graduates at the University of Maryland on Sunday, it wasn’t until 19 minutes into a 22-minute speech that former Vice President Al Gore mentioned President Donald Trump’s name.

But his address nonetheless marked a commencement ceremony that pushed graduates to fight what both Gore and university President Wallace Loh described as challenges to American democracy.

The article goes on to state the following:
