Elected female members of the Republican Party’s national governing body, joined by state lawmakers and county-level party officials, are rallying to Donald Trump’s side.
“I am still solidly behind Mr. Trump,” said Minnesota state Sen. Carrie L. Rudd, a Republican. “Why are we even talking about locker-room comments from 11 years ago when there are so many important issues at hand? The people who supported Trump still do.”
The Republican women began to circle the wagons around their party’s presidential nominee after a string of big names loudly parted company with Mr. Trump in the wake of a press-led attack involving leaked live-microphone sexual comments by him about women.
“Those that are jumping ship are establishment GOP that never supported him in the first place,” Mrs. Rudd said.
Some female lawmakers and party officials said Mr. Trump’s lewd comments managed to alienate more women, but those who remained on his side spelled out what he needed to do to recover in the town hall debate Sunday night in St. Louis with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump Won Second Presidential Debate Internet Decides
Donald Trump won the second presidential debate — or at least that’s what you’d think if you were reading the Internet Sunday night.
After Trump and Hillary Clinton went head to head for 90 minutes during a town hall style debate in St. Louis, Mo., it was clear that the Republican nominee had won the Internet over.
In a poll run on the Drudge Report, 92 percent of voters agreed that Trump won while a mere 7 percent thought Clinton did.
The pollster Frank Luntz tweeted that 16 members of his focus group determined Trump the winner, while six of them thought Clinton was.

Mr. Donald Trump is raising the bar of America’s conscience. Apology is often the first step in correcting a wrong. Having moved for a position of saying “I don’t need forgiveness,” Mr. Trump is now taking a second look at past behaviors; things that he’s said and done that he regrets. While he is not asking for forgiveness for being human, he is admitting that he’s made mistakes and humbly making apologies.
I don’t know about you, but not many human beings allow themselves to be put on the front page and television screens of the world, in such a vulnerable way as to expose every big and little decision and action in their lives, past and present. Someone like Mr. Trump, who has almost “had it all” and who must have the shortest “bucket list” in history likely has pretty good reasons for facing judgment’s firing squad to offer himself for the nation’s biggest job; President of The United States.
In apologizing for and correcting mistakes, boldly doing so before the entire world, Mr. Trump says he’s making the sacrifice for his children and grandchildren. That’s what’s at stake here folks; life now and forever. There is so much to lose, so much to gain for America’s children and grandchildren.

Billy Bush suspended from ‘Today’ show
“I know we’ve all been deeply troubled by the revelations of the past 48 hours,” wrote "Today" show producer Noah Oppenheim in a memo to staff.
"Let me be clear — there is simply no excuse for Billy's language and behavior on that tape. NBC has decided to suspend Billy, pending further review of this matter.”
Bush’s status with the show was immediately in question following Friday’s leak, and reports from earlier in the day confirmed he would not appear on Monday’s broadcast.
