More than one in four (26.2%) of the 214 criminals freed by Pres. Obama Wednesday had firearms convictions – yet, Obama continues to push for tougher gun laws.
While blaming recent terrorist attacks on soft gun laws in the U.S., Pres. Obama commuted the sentences of 56 individuals convicted of gun charges – 16 of whom used or possessed guns while committing drug crimes.
Obama’s release of 56 gun-charge convicts more than doubles the total number of gun criminals he has freed during his time in office. Since entering the White House, Obama has now commuted the sentences of 105 criminals convicted of gun charges.
"We are not done, yet," Deputy Attorney General Sally Q. Yates said in a statement cheering President Obama’s commutation of 214 more sentences and promising that "many more" drug dealers and firearms felons will be turned loose on the streets of America:

Just Sayin
If you are LGBT why are you voting for Hillary when she wants to bring in millions of refugees that believe you should be executed?
If you are Black, why are you voting for Hillary when she defends Planned Parenthood and admires Margaret Sanger, who wanted to abort as many black babies as possible and exterminate the black race because they are like "weeds." Most of those clinics are in Black neighborhoods.
If you are a Woman, how can you vote for Hillary when she has buried all of Bill's rape victims under the rug. As an attorney, Hillary also defended the rapist of a 12-year old girl and laughed about it later. She plays the woman-card and acts entitled; implying that she deserves your vote merely because of her sex. How is that gender neutral?
If you are a Miner, Steelworker or have a Factory job, why are you voting for Hillary when she supported NAFTA and TPP, and workers are being laid off because jobs are going overseas? She also welcomes open borders and illegals to get benefits with your tax money and compete for our jobs. Hillary boasts that under her administration miners and steelworkers will lose their jobs.
If you are a Law abiding citizen, how can you vote for Hillary when she is clearly above the law? Hillary deleted thousands of secret e-mails *after* they had been subpoenaed by the courts (illegal). Hillary kept thousands of classified and top secret e-mails on her private server; servers that had less security that g-mail and Hotmail. You can be sure Russia, Iran, and China have those now. The DNC clearly broke the rules by heavy-handedly favoring Hillary over Sanders while they were still competing for the nomination.
If you are a Veteran, in the military, or closely related to a military member, why are you voting for Hillary when she left those men to die in Benghazi and had the nerve to lie about it over and over again? They called for help, but the help was told to stand down. Furthermore, Hillary wants to eliminate the NRA, take away your guns, and abolish the second amendment?

American Authorities Fear Terror Networks Already in US
After years of undercover work, the U.S. is starting to pull back the veil on what appear to be loose-knit, perhaps deeply rooted networks of would-be terrorists who support each other even as many prepare to act alone.
Heightening the concern, these complex webs of connections and support seem to span several years and often cut across the ideological lines that delineate one terror group from another.
“Increasingly, the FBI’s had a lot of these,” according to a law enforcement official familiar with one of the more recent cases. “I think it is going on nationally.”
The official, speaking to VOA on condition of anonymity, also said it was clear that “a lot of this predated ISIL,” using an acronym for the Islamic State terror group.

Pennsylvania bride given away by man who received her dad's heart
Jeni Stepien is now officially a married woman, and she told CBS Pittsburgh the day wouldn't have been possible without Arthur Thomas.
"You can never imagine what that would be like unless you actually do it because so many emotions involved in what you're doing," Thomas said.
Arthur, fondly known as 'Tom,' traveled from New Jersey to walk Jeni down the aisle at St. Anselm church in Swissvale, since her father couldn't be there.
Jeni met Tom for the first time on the eve of her wedding, when she felt her father's heart beat for the first time in 10 years. Michael Stepien was murdered in Swissvale back in 2006.

Cotton: Clinton discussed executed Iranian scientist on email
Hillary Clinton recklessly discussed, in emails hosted on her private server, an Iranian nuclear scientist who was executed by Iran for treason, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said Sunday.
"I'm not going to comment on what he may or may not have done for the United States government, but in the emails that were on Hillary Clinton's private server, there were conversations among her senior advisors about this gentleman," he said on "Face the Nation." Cotton was speaking about Shahram Amiri, who gave information to the U.S. about Iran's nuclear program.
The senator said this lapse proves she is not capable of keeping the country safe.

Hogan calls teachers union officials ‘thugs’ on Facebook
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland public school teachers union is shaking its finger at Gov. Larry Hogan for calling its advocates “union thugs” in a Facebook post.
The Maryland State Education Association said on its Twitter feed Saturday: “We should never resort to name-calling.”
The tempest boiled up Friday when Hogan responded to criticism of his recent decision to save, rather than spend some state funds. He wrote that his administration has spent record amounts on education while protecting teacher pensions.
He concluded, “Don’t believe this phony ‘cut’ propaganda from the union thugs.”

FBI Releases Surveillance Flight Footage From 2015 Unrest
The FBI has released more than 18 hours of footage in response to a Freedom of Information Act request by the American Civil Liberties Union to see the unedited video after concerns that residents’ privacy was violated.
While the video, recorded from April 29 to May 3, 2015 follows groups and at time individuals, it doesn't appear clear enough to identify individual faces.
In a blog post, ACLU attorney Nathan Freed Wessler says the videos raise concerns because the footage does show individuals being tracked as they are entering and leaving buildings, and he questions how long the FBI is keeping the videos and whether this can be used to identify people in future criminal investigations.

Dozens Of Moonrise Festival Attendees Hospitalized Saturday
Paramedics took a total of 27 people to the hospital, many of them needing treatment for dehydration, but there have been no deaths reported, Baltimore City Fire Department spokesperson Sam Johnson told WJZ.
In light of the medical woes, organizers posted an emergency statement on the festival’s website reminding people to drink plenty of water and vowing to ramp up staffing levels to make sure there’s a safe environment at the venue. Empty water bottles and pouches, which are allowed, can be filled on site.

Maryland Panel Makes First License Decisions On Medical Pot
The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission voted unanimously in the first stage of the licensing procedure. It also voted for five growers and five processors as alternates, in the event that any of the top 15 in each category ends up not receiving a license.
“This is not the end of the race,” said Harry “Buddy” Robshaw, the vice chairman of the commission. “Obviously, it may be only the first or second lap, but this is real important.”
In a surprise twist at Friday’s meeting, the commission announced that two grower applicants initially placed in the top 15 were bumped to spots 16 and 17, because the top 15 did not include the geographic representation noted in the law. Companies that initially placed in the 21st and 20th spots were moved into the 14th and 15th positions.

Boyfriend of Woman Fatally Shot by Baltimore Co. Police Facing 9 Charges
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—The boyfriend of a woman fatally shot by Baltimore County police is now facing nine charges after police find heroin during a search warrant.Investigators executed a search warrant at an apartment on Sulky Court in Randallstown, where police shot and killed Korryn Gaines earlier this week after she allegedly threatened to kill tactical officers during the 7-hour standoff.
The standoff began when officers went to serve two arrest warrants for Gaines and her 39-year-old boyfriend, Kareem Courtney.
Police say Courtney’s warrant was for second-degree assault, and Gaines’ was a failure to appear bench warrant for traffic violations — including resisting arrest — which occurred during a March 10 traffic stop.

Ocean City Death Investigation Continuing
(OCEAN CITY, MD) — At the request of the Ocean City Police Department, the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is conducting an investigation into the death early today of a suspect who had been arrested on drug charges and who later died at a hospital after exhibiting symptoms while being processed at the police station.
The deceased is identified as Jerry L. Weston, 37, of Greenwood, DE. He was pronounced dead at Atlantic General Hospital shortly after 3:30 a.m. today.
Weston had been arrested along with two others by the Ocean City Police Department on felony drug charges early this morning. During his processing at the Ocean City Police Department, he began exhibiting signs of physical distress. The preliminary investigation indicates emergency care was provided and emergency medical personnel were summoned to the police department. Investigators have learned Weston told those treating him he had ingested cocaine.
Weston’s body has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. An autopsy is scheduled there tomorrow to determine the cause and manner of death.
Maryland State Police investigators are interviewing police and medical personnel involved with the arrest, transport and medical treatment of Weston. The investigation is continuing.
Please refer to the Ocean City Police Department news release issued earlier today for information surrounding the arrest of Weston and two others. No further information about the investigation is able to be provided by the Maryland State Police at this time.
