New Black Panther Party Forms Baton Rouge Chapter

BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge residents gathered Saturday afternoon to form the newest chapter of the New Black Panther Party.

The New Black Panthers arrived in Baton Rouge last Saturday to protest the officer-involved shooting death of 37-year-old Alton Sterling. Two videos of the shooting sparked national outcry and protests across Baton Rouge.

Jerald Justice said the group was approached by local residents like Edwin Smith to help establish a Baton Rouge chapter.

“It is time for new leadership and a new organization to step forward in Baton Rouge,” Smith said. “I feel like the New Black Panther Party is the organization that can bring new leadership to Baton Rouge.”

Founders met Saturday to formally establish the chapter as well as gather names for new members. WBRZ News 2’s Earl Phelps was able to briefly attend the event on the condition that he does not reveal the meeting’s location.

“With the help of the New Black Panther Party, these members should be able to handle any or everything in their city,” Justice said.

House Republicans push for three different Clinton Foundation probes

Dozens of Republican lawmakers will ask three separate federal agencies to open investigations of the Clinton Foundation on Friday as questions over the well-connected charity's operations remain unanswered.

Led by Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., more than 60 House Republicans signed their names to a letter this week addressed to the FBI, the IRS and the Federal Trade Commission that detailed allegations of impropriety in the foundation's past dealings.

"Hillary Clinton is asking the voters to trust her and allow her to be president of the United States and because of that, it is important that we get answers as to how this foundation is operated," Blackburn told the Washington Examiner.

Paul Ryan Floods District with Mailers on Border Security After Funding Every Obama Open Borders Initiative

Following a new primary election poll showing that House Speaker Paul Ryan has plummeted to well below 50 percent in his home district, Ryan is out with new mailers assuring Wisconsin voters of his desire to secure the border, and urging them to support him in his contentious August 9th primary election.

The new mailers touting Ryan’s support for border security is interesting given that just last year, Ryan championed a spending bill that fully funded President Obama’s open borders agenda– including funding sanctuary cities, executive amnesty, and the release of criminal aliens. The mailers also come amid new reports indicating that, one month after his election, Ryan plans to bring up “criminal sentencing” measures that could release thousands of criminal illegal aliens from prison onto the streets.

The ICE Union warned that some of the discussed proposals could result in the “mass release of criminal aliens from federal prison.” ICE highlighted the proposal’s impact on public safety, and noted that it could “further hampe[r] immigration enforcement within the United States.”

Interestingly, Ryan’s mailer does not list a single action Ryan has actually taken—in his seventeen years in Congress— to “secure our border” or stop the threat of radical Islam from “reaching our shores.”

As House Speaker, Ryan ushered through Congress an omnibus spending bill that completely funded President Obama’s open borders agenda.

Ryan voted to fund Obama’s still-running 2012 executive amnesty for illegal aliens who allegedly entered the country as minors. Ryan’s bill also rewarded sanctuary cities with federal grants. He also provided funding for the resettlement of illegal aliens within the United States, the release of criminal aliens, and tax credits for illegal aliens.

Ryan’s spending bill also funded an expansion of Muslim migration, bringing the total number of visas for Muslim migrants this year (temporary and permanent) to nearly 300,000.

Caught On Tape - CNN Reporter Cut Off Air As She Critiques Hillary Clinton

First the Turkey Coup, Now the Economic Crash

Turkey’s currency exchange rate suffered a 4.6 percent crash versus the U.S. dollar, as international investors interpreted the failed military coup and retaliatory political purge as the end of strong growth and beginning of a period of protracted economic instability in the NATO ally.

The July 15 attempted coup d’etat rocked the capital city of Ankara with gun battles, explosions and an F-16 shooting down a helicopter at the Parliament building. But with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan back in control, he promised cheering throngs that he would punish those behind the takeover attempt.

At least 265 people are dead in the failed Army putsch, led by what government sources referred to as the FETÖ terror organization,” headed by a Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania-based Imam preacher Fethullah Gülen. In a sign of the depth of the coup’s support, NTV television said 34 generals of various grades and at least 3,000 troops had been arrested so far. They include senior figures like Erdal Ozturk, commander of the third army, and the commander of the Malatya-based second army, Adem Huduti.

Clinton to Resettle One Million Muslim Migrants During First Term Alone

If elected president, Hillary Clinton could permanently resettle close to one million Muslim migrants during the first term of her presidency alone, according to the latest available data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Between 2001 and 2013, the U.S. permanently resettled 1.5 million Muslim migrants on green cards. However, under Hillary Clinton’s stated proposals, Muslim immigration would grow substantially faster, adding nearly one million Muslim migrants to the U.S. during her first term alone.

Based on the most recent available DHS data, the U.S. permanently resettled roughly 149,000 migrants from predominantly Muslim countries on green cards in 2014. Yet Clinton has said that, as President, she would expand Muslim migration by importing an additional 65,000 Syrian refugees into the United States during the course of a single fiscal year. Clinton has made no indication that she would limit her proposed Syrian refugee program to one year.

Clinton’s Syrian refugees would come on top of the tens of thousands of refugees the U.S. already admits from Muslim countries.

Adding Clinton’s 65,000 Syrian refugees to the approximately 149,000 Muslim migrants the U.S. resettled on green cards in the course of one year, means that Clinton could permanently resettle roughly 214,000 Muslim migrants in her first year as President. If Clinton were to continue her Syrian refugee program throughout her Presidency, she could potentially resettle as many as 856,000 during her first term alone.

Analysis from the Senate Immigration Subcommittee found that Clinton’s plan to expand refugee resettlement could cost U.S. taxpayers over $400 billion.

Ivanka Trump brushes off convention-boycotting Republicans: 'That’s their choice...if they don’t want to be part of the future'

Ivanka Trump says Republicans refusing to come to this week's GOP convention in Cleveland will be left in the dust as the party moves on without them.

'That's their choice if they don't want to be part of the narrative, if they don't want to be part of the future,' Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka told ABC News' Lara Spencer today, in an interview set to air on GMA Tuesday.

'But this really is about a forward-looking moment.'

'My father is an outsider and we went through a very tough primary,' Trump added. 'And he emerged from that the winner, but there were certainly ruffled feathers along the way.'

Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush aren't attending. The GOP's 2008 and 2012 nominees, John McCain and Mitt Romney, are also skipping as are Jeb Bush and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Trump's primary rivals.

Media Blackout: Letter from a Black Man in Baton Rouge

I [Lee Stranahan] have been in Baton Rouge for a week now, watching the international media cover the aftermath of the Alton Sterling shooting with the predictably dismal set of left-wing talking points.

While the MSM wants to pitch Baton Rouge as an example of racist America, when I talk to the residents of Baton Rouge—some white but mostly black—I’ve gotten a different story; one that’s more complex than the simple paint-by-numbers Democrat narrative that the media is shoving down America’s throat.

After my recent arrest, I got some mentions in the local press which led to my getting this email:

"Hey, just discovered your twitter feed and that you’re in Baton Rouge. Just read your weekend in parish prison piece. I’m seeing all the media reports and I’m so mad that the people aren’t being asked the right things. Are you open to hearing from who’s black and from Baton Rouge area?"

Of course, I was interested, and I responded right away. Just as the callers on the Breitbart News Daily radio show on SiriusXM Satellite Radio provide better analysis than the inside-the-beltway pundits, I wanted to share this man’s personal insights into what’s going on in Baton Rouge:

"Wow, thanks for responding! I’m a lifelong resident of Zachary, a Baton Rouge suburb, and a black man.

"I don’t believe Alton Sterling was killed because of racism. Baton Rouge is poor. They use police and arrest as a means of filling budget shortfalls. Everyone knows cops have a directive from the mayor that when a call comes in, make an arrest no matter what, because an arrest equals money for the city. Those cops were going to arrest him no matter what. Dispatch informing them a gun was used let them know how much force was necessary. Alton, a convicted felon illegally possessing a gun wasn’t going to comply no matter what, as he knew he was about to go to jail for a long time. Those forces created a tornado, simple as that.

"The problem nobody is talking about: Baton Rouge is dealing with black working middle class flight.

"Twenty years ago black neighborhoods were filled with black nuclear traditional families, headed by a working father and in most cases a working mother. These neighborhoods had dangerous elements—which unfortunately stereotyped the whole based on the few—but socially, economically, and as taxpayers, it created stability. Neighborhoods filled with working fathers kept it together. The black dollar supported jobs and businesses and that taxpayer based allowed for local services to be provided by the government.

"All of that is gone."

Terrorist Used Car-Ramming Tactic Popularized by Palestinians

The suspected terrorist gunman who killed 80 people and wounded scores of others during Bastille Day celebrations in the French Riviera city of Nice late on Thursday seemed to have taken a page out of the Palestinian jihadist playbook of vehicular terrorism.
For several years now, Palestinian terrorists have deployed the deadly tactic of plowing vehicles into pedestrians and then attempting to continue their assaults with stabbings or shootings.

Only two days ago, a Palestinian man attempted a car-ramming attack against Israel Border Police officers near Jerusalem.

A week and a half ago, three IDF soldiers were lightly wounded in another Palestinian car-ramming incident.

Last month, a Palestinian woman lightly wounded two Israelis in a car-ramming attack.

Such vehicular attacks and attempted attacks have become almost a routine throughout the most recent so-called Palestinian wave of terror targeting Israelis for over a year now.

Moreover, Palestinians have been utilizing the bloody tactic for at least eight years, with assailants at time using heavy vehicles such as tractors.

Big Storm Makes It To West Ocean City

URGENT: Obama urges Americans to tamp down inflammatory rhetoric

Confronting another killing of police officers, President Barack Obama on Sunday urged Americans to tamp down inflammatory words and actions as a violent summer collides with the nation's heated presidential campaign.

Obama said the motive behind Sunday's killing of three officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was still unknown.

"Every one right now focus on words and actions that can unite this country rather than divide it further," Obama said.

House Democrats’ Plan to Secure Nation Is Less Than Two Pages Long

House Democratic leaders unveiled a national security agenda that is less than two pages in length and prioritizes combatting online radicalization and restricting gun sales.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D., Md.), and other leading Democrats unveiled the agenda for a “stronger America” at a Thursday news conference on Capitol Hill.

The three-pronged agenda focuses on securing the nation, its future, and its democracy. The white papers outlining each target area are roughly one-and-a-half pages long.

House Democrats’ brief plan to address national security comes at a time when threats facing the nation and its allies are complex, as demonstrated by Wednesday’s deadly truck attack in Nice, France. The United States is currently waging a campaign against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, deploying troops to Eastern Europe to help NATO deter Russian aggression, attempting to mitigate tensions surrounding China’s territorial claims in the South China Sea, and thwarting domestic terror threats, among other actions to protect U.S. interests.

Last month House Republicans unveiled a 23-page national security and foreign policy agenda—roughly 15 times the length of the proposals released by their Democratic colleagues on Thursday.

Ocean City Police Use Snapchat to Arrest a Vehicle Theft Suspect

OCEAN CITY, MD – (July 18, 2016): A New York man was arrested by Ocean City police on Saturday evening after stealing a Jeep Wrangler and driving it erratically on Coastal Highway all while recording the incident on Snapchat.

On July 16, 2016, at approximately 10:48 a.m. officers responded to the parking lot at Seacrets Bar & Grille (5003 Coastal Highway) for a report of a stolen vehicle. After an initial investigation, officers determined that a male suspect stole the vehicle, a 1994 Jeep Wrangler, earlier that morning at approximately 2 a.m. Officers located the vehicle parked at a condominium building in the area of 37thStreet later that morning, however, were not able to identify a suspect at the time.

At approximately 8 p.m. that evening, officers developed information that the suspect, Brian S. Engelmann, 24, of Mystic Beach, NY, had posted a series of videos to the popular social media platform “Snapchat” showing him stealing the Jeep Wrangler earlier that morning. Officers were able to locate and record the series of videos on Snapchat and confirm the identity of Engelmann. The videos depict Engelmann stealing the Jeep and driving erratically to 37th Street.

After further review of his Snapchat “story”, officers were also able to determine that Engelmann had returned to Seacrets that night. Officers responded to the bar where they quickly located and arrested Engelmann with assistance from Seacrets security staff.

Ocean City police charged Englemann with vehicle theft, in addition to multiple traffic violations that could be seen during the initial series of videos that Englemann had posted including using a handheld phone while driving, negligent driving, and driving while on a suspended license. Englemann was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and was transferred to the Worcester County Jail on $20,000 bond.

7-Eleven clerk caught on video disarming shotgun-wielding would-be robber

A Maryland convenience store clerk is being hailed a hero after he was caught on camera disarming a would-be robber who pointed a shotgun at his face.

In the footage, the clerk at a 7-Eleven in Frederick never flinches as he grabs the barrel of the gun and wrestles it out of the suspect’s hand.

Police obtained information the next day that led them to arrest 18-year-old Ryan Wages and charge him with the robbery attempt, Fox 5 DC reported Saturday.

The video was posted on YouTube by the Frederick News Post, which reported that it was recorded at 4 a.m. July 12.

“[The man] pointed it at my employee and started screaming at my employee, screaming in his face, and [my employee] grabbed [the gun] and took it out of the guy’s hands,” store owner Abdul Ayub told the paper. “And the guy ran out of the store, so now the police have the gun and he didn’t get anything.”

Deputies told the paper that they were able to determine that the shotgun wasn’t loaded.

Convention Chaos: Floor erupts as GOP shuts down anti-Trump rebels

CLEVELAND — The floor of the Republican convention erupted in pandemonium Monday as delegates for and against Donald Trump's nomination fought over the rules package that would govern his nomination for president later this week. Republican Party officials put down a rebellion by conservative delegates denying them a roll call vote on the new set of rules. The coalition of rebel delegates, joined by delegates who support Trump's nomination, moved for consideration of an alternate rules package after submitting the required number of petitions to the convention secretary. That rules package would have unbound delegates and possibly let them vote for someone other than Trump. Rep. Steve Womack of Arkansas, acting as presiding officer over the convention, called for a voice vote of the rules package and deemed sufficient support for it to pass. More

Air Force Selects First Enlisted Airmen for Pilot Training Since WWII

HAMPTON -- The Air Force has chosen 10 enlisted airmen to begin training as pilots for the first time since World War II.

The airmen were selected as part of a program that will allow them to fly the RQ-4 Global Hawk, an unmanned intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft.

Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions are the most requested by combatant commanders around the world and demand for remotely piloted aircraft, or RPAs, will likely only increase, according to the Air Force.

"In the future, RPAs may act as wingmen to manned aircraft," Capt. Trisha Guillebeau said in an email to The Virginian-Pilot.

The Air Force has not released the identities of the first airmen selected for the program or where they are based.
