The destruction in Ferguson, Missouri, from riots, looting and burning will "adversely affect blacks yet unborn who will still be paying the price for it 10-20 years from now," says Thomas Sowell, a respected African-American economist and senior fellow at the Hoover Institution.
Speaking on Fox News' "Hannity," Sowell, citing the examples of Detroit and Harlem, told Sean Hannity, "They're not going to have businesses there that you had before. I've seen this happen in other cities."

Sowell, author of "Basic Economics," particularly blasted members of the Congressional Black Caucus who spoke on the House floor with their hands raised in a "hands up, don't shoot" posture, despite witness testimony, forensics and autopsy reports that indicate Michael Brown did not have his hands up when he was shot by former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, the Daily Caller reports.

Former Rep. Allen West fears the Rev. Al Sharpton could fan the flames of racial unrest in New York City after a grand jury failed to indict a police officer in the chokehold death of Eric Garner last July.

The communist and racist New Black Panther Party plotted to bomb St. Louis’ Gateway Arch and assassinate local law enforcement officials, but the Justice Department so far has limited its prosecution of the group to an indictment of two members on minor gun charges.
The soft treatment for activities that normally would have brought federal terrorism charges appears to be part of efforts by Attorney General Eric Holder and the Justice Department to “go soft” on the racist group, according to former Justice official J. Christian Adams.
“I have always been perplexed why these guys get special treatment,” said Adams, who worked in the Justice Department Civil Rights Division and noted a similar conciliatory legal treatment of New Black Panther Party members in a 2008 case of voter intimidation by the group in Philadelphia.
Justice Department spokesman Marc Raimondi declined to comment on the Black Panther bomb plot and would not say whether additional charges in the case are pending.

A new phosphorus rule has been proposed three times in the last two years but has been repeatedly delayed due to pressure from industry lobbyists and legislative leaders.
Today a 30-day public comment period on the regulation begins, and the Maryland Administrative, Executive & Legislative Review committee has the opportunity to review and comment on them.
The Maryland Clean Agriculture Coalition says the latest version of the regulation includes a reasonable implementation plan for the state-of-the-art tool, as well as several exemptions for certain farms and a six-year phase-in timetable.

MCE awarded a $50,000 USDA grant to assist rural businesses
MCE has been awarded a $50,000 grant the US Department of Agriculture through its RBEG (Rural Business Enterprises Grant) program to assist microbusinesses on Maryland’s Eastern Shore to grow into sizable businesses generating employment opportunities. MCE (Maryland Capital Enterprises, Inc.) will use the grant to support its Incubator Without Walls (IWW) project that provides technical assistance and support to some 20 businesses that it has identified as ones poised to grow to the next level and help the area’s economy grow. The project was launched last year with funding from the US Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund.
MCE’s IWW project assists businesses like Paula Green & Associates H&R Block franchise in Princess Anne expand to add three offices in Eastern Shore Virginia; like Burley Oak Brewery in Berlin to expand to bottled beer increasing its capacity and serving a larger geographic area; like Kent island Crab Cakes on Kent island to expand its production and upgrade its website to grow its online sales to nation-wide; and like BDK, Inc. internet technology company to expand from its home-based operation in Hurlock to offices in an Easton office park, acquire a New Jersey firm, launch its cloud storage operation, and more than triple its employees.
“We have discovered that several businesses that come to us for financing to expand need all sorts of other assistance to make the expansion successful,” said MCE President & CEO Joe Morse. “We were fortunate to convince a couple of funding agencies of that and how MCE could help.” MCE is still seeking to expand the project.

Governor-elect to attend New Governors Meeting at the White House with President, Vice President, cabinet members

Administration Exploits Ferguson to Undermine Race Relations and Rule of Law
I wish there were a way to address the Ferguson controversy without generating further controversy. But that's not an easy task.
I have believed for some time that the Obama administration has fanned the flames of racial tension in this country rather than attempt to extinguish them, despite its claims to the contrary. President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, in my view, have been the main culprits, which is exceedingly unfortunate, considering the opportunity their historic roles present for making great strides toward racial harmony.
The question is: Do these gentlemen truly want to promote racial harmony?

If President Obama were trying to alleviate racial tensions, would he have accused the police department in Cambridge, Massachusetts, of "acting stupidly" in arresting a friend of his, Harvard professor Henry Gates? The statement was stunningly inappropriate because he took sides reflexively without benefit of all the facts and because presidents have no business weighing in on such local matters. Does anyone doubt that race was at the forefront of Obama's mind?
But if there was any doubt, Obama removed it when "the main message" he chose to impart from the Trayvon Martin matter was implied in this bizarre statement: "My main message is to the parents of Trayvon Martin. You know, if I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon."

Rep. Chaffetz Asks Homeland Chief if U.S. Deported Four Alleged Terrorists – Wait Until You Hear His Answer
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah.) grilled Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson over his department’s failure to deport four members of a terrorist organization who were captured crossing illegally into the U.S.
During a Tuesday hearing, Chaffetz recalled that Johnson had previously promised four men nabbed crossing the Southern border in early September would be deported. The individuals were thought to have ties to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, an organization designated as a terrorist group by the State Department.
“Did you deport them?” the Utah representative asked Johnson.
“Uh, no. Not at this point,” Johnson answered.

The reason: Officials aren't certain whether a recent cyber attack affected financial data. NextGov reports, Postal officials have asked for a 15-day extension to file their 10-K form. The September attack compromised the personal information on 800,000 Postal employees.
