Tonight's Debate

So far, (IMO) McCain is kicking Obama's A$$. However, I will say, I enjoyed the Palin/Biden Debate better.

Comments & Links

Look, if you haven't learned by now, 95% of the time when someone tries to put up a Link to another Website, I reject it. I'm NOT promoting ANY other Blogs, in case you hadn't noticed. I'm NOT sending people who have taken the time to visit this Site off to another Site, especially for foolish information.

Nonetheless, I have rejected more comments today than I have in a very long time. If you are interested in putting up a link to something, send me an e-mail and ask me for permission, like most of the respectable people do on here. 99% of the time when I'm asked, I allow it. Now that could be because these people were kind enough to ask and they had an e-mail address to reply to, creating a more legitimate Link.

I also truly can't understand the person/persons who continue to make unrelated comments and attacks and think their comments are going to get posted. Their curse words are over the top and as many times as I'd like to put them up so some of you can truly see just how nasty these Anti Albero Bloggers are, then I get my head bit off when I do for allowing it. So I reject these comments to please everyone. Stay on topic, no cursing and no personal attacks. If your comment doesn't go up and you have a problem with that, e-mail me directly and we'll discuss it. Go ahead, I dare you. LOL

Anyhow, for what it's worth, don't waste your time on the Links, OK.

Frank Kratovil - We Solved the Crisis

"We solved the crisis, but we don't always do something to solve the issue."  These are the words of Democrat Congressional candidate Frank Kratovil in regards to the financial bailout passed last week by Congress.

Does anyone really believe that the crisis is solved?  As I am writing this, the Dow Jones Industrial average is below 9800.  Kratovil's running mate, Barack Obama is trying to convince Americans that we are entering a new Great Depression and that "The One" is the only person capable of solving our problems.  There is no question that we are in a recession that will deepen before things get better.  Yet, Frank Kratovil - the man who claims to be all things to all people - says that the CRISIS IS SOLVED!

Sure Frank.  Each time I go to fill up my gas tank I know that thanks to you and your liberal buddies the CRISIS IS SOLVED!  As I am trying to figure out how to pay for one more kid in college, I know that the CRISIS IS SOLVED!  As my wife and I struggle to pay our bills each month I know that the CRISIS IS SOLVED!

I have to admit that Frank Kratovil has pulled off a pretty good trick.  Kratovil hasn't even been elected to Congress yet and he as managed to SOLVE THE CRISIS.  Just imagine what he would be able to do if the people of the First District were foolish enough to actually elect him.

Kratovil Declares "Crisis is Solved"

Kratovil Out-Of-Touch with Problems Facing Working Families

Annapolis - Frank Kratovil, speaking about the financial crisis facing the nation, declared yesterday, "We solved the crisis." http://www.delmarvanow.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008810070340

While our nation faces the greatest economic uncertainty since the Great Depression, Frank Kratovil thinks the crisis was solved by passage of the bailout last Friday. "It is clear Frank Kratovil is so out of touch that he just doesn't understand that families are really hurting," said Chris Meekins, Harris Campaign Manager.

"If you ask the mom who has to pay over $50 to fill up her minivan to take her kids to soccer practice; she won't say the crisis is solved. If you ask a factory worker who is getting laid off at the end of the month; he won't say the crisis is solved. If you ask a recent college graduate who is struggling to find his first job; he won't say the crisis is solved. If you ask a retiree whose pension is shrinking daily, she won't say it is solved." said Meekins.

"Kratovil is dead wrong. The crisis is far from solved, and the Wall Street bailout was the wrong approach" said Andy Harris. "I will go to Washington to solve the economic issues facing our nation, because there is a lot more that needs to be done."

"Kratovil's statement shows he is not ready to go to Washington," said Meekins.
In a flip-flop reminiscent of John Kerry, after opposing the bailout at first, Frank Kratovil also said yesterday he would have supported the over $820 billion Wall Street bailout passed last Friday. In contrast, Andy Harris has consistently opposed the bailout because taxpayer dollars were not adequately protected.

Obama's Campaign Stratagy???

"Joe,

In a recent discussing with some friends the notion was brought forth that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac planned when they were going to fold to indeed control the election and force the bailout. If all this happened after the election it is possible the bailout would never have occurred. This also sides with the democrat cause to win the election. With Franklin Raines of Fannie Mae and Jim Johnson of Freddie Mac being economic advisors of Barack Obama’s and possibly in his future cabinet, could this have been a systematic plan to aid the Obama campaign? What do you all think? Intriguing if nothing else."

Well, let's find out. Have at it Folks.

Was There Two Saturday Daily Times Newspapers?

There was two different papers printed on Saturday. They called it a re-plate. The photo of Fernando came in after they went to Press but chose to stop the Presses and insert the late photo of Fernando Guerrero.

While the Daily Times wished the article would accompany the photo, there was some sort of mishap corrupting the article and it simply didn't work out.

I thank the Daily Times for returning my call and letting everyone know that there were in fact two different newspapers out there on Saturday. I was one of the fortunate ones that received the paper with the Fernando picture on the front page. I will also say, my hat is tipped to them for going the extra mile to get one of the most exciting events in a very long time up as this must have cost them a small fortune, especially for a Saturday paper. My guess would be that Saturday is probably their slowest day in sales.

Burning Down The House

I Didn't Know That John Kerry Was Running in Maryland

I had to "opportunity" to attend the Frank Kratovil dog and pony show in Salisbury yesterday.  As Yogi Bera said - it was deja vu all over again.  I thought that I was having a flashback from the John Kerry for President campaign.  We were treated to Kratovil's having opposed the federal bailout before he supported it and Kratovil again stated his support for amnesty for illegal aliens.

For purposes of disclosure, yesterday's show was a Young Dem event.  This was NOT mentioned in the press release I received regarding the event.  Had Kratovil's campaign been honest about the event I wouldn't have raised a stink about it yesterday.  Of course, I doubt any media would have showed up either.  Kratovil's release made the event appear as if it was an SU event.

But I digress.  Sen. Barbara Mikulski got up and did her duty for party and the liberal cause.  She explained to the group of students that they all needed to get out and work for Barack Obama and Frank Kratovil.  As usual, she was pretty impressive.  I don't agree with Sen. Mikulski on much, but I have always admired her constituent service and her willingness to take a stand.  Read More ...

Have You Seen Today's Daily Times, I Mean Yesterday's Salisbury News?

Today's Daily Times looks exactly like yesterday mornings Salisbury News. Wouldn't you agree? Oh, wait a minute. One of the Headlines on the front page is two day old Salisbury News.

AP Photo, Pocomoke FD Photo, you see, their Staff is nowhere to be found any more. Oh, did I mention their daily weekly paper went UP TO $ .50 CENTS PER DAY!

They should get a slogan like WMDT has. You know, "more news in less time." The Daily Times should say, "less news, more money, we're the Daily Times and we don't give a sh!t."

Oh, they're in their new building though. That's printed daily in their paper, like that's news. Seems Salisbury News got it right after all and the commenter's trying to claim these weren't SU Football Players were full of crap, just like I knew they were.

Not to worry though, the Mayor will be giving the Coach a Certificate in the next few weeks for all the wonderful things the THUGS at SU do for the community. I'm sure you'll see the Daily Times cover that story.

Has anyone noticed how thin the paper has been in the past few months, including the Sunday paper?

PRMC May Be Hearing From My Lawyers Very Soon

"It seems that PRMC had decided to block access to Salisbury News. I cannot understand why this was done.

Again, I am afraid to ask of our supervisors for fear of reprimand.

If our executive staff at PRMC knows the reason why we have been censored, I am sure others would also like to know. I would like an honest answer.

I am not trying to stir up any controversy here. I feel we deserve to know."

I strongly recommend they immediately release Salisbury News from being censored or they will pay the price not only in the Press but in a Court of Law as well. Don't play this game with me as I'm sure you people have heard just what kind of legal punch I can bring into the ring.

Councilwoman Shanie Shields Kicked To The Curb

Pictures don't lie Ladies & Gentlemen. This is the former home of Councilwoman Shanie Shields after she foreclosed on her property and was evicted from the premises.

Gary Comegys also declared Bankruptcy in the past and these are two out of five Salisbury City Council Members who are running your finances on a multi million dollar budget. Mind you, Comegys will announce he is running for Mayor on November 12th and you Idiots keep voting for these people and then wonder why things are so bad in Salisbury.

Have you no shame Shanie Shields? I guess Code and Compliance will have to come in and clean up your mess. It's all about who you know. Remember Folks, we're going to be watching very closely to see who you vote for in the next election because this City has become a complete joke!

Are you proud Mayor Tilghman? Of course she is. She wanted yes men and puppets and that's exactly what she got. The fools are the Citizens.

Frank & Barbara LIVE In Salisbury

START SPREADING THE NEWS!

No, not Frank Sinatra and Barbara Streisand! Our local Politicians. I'll let GA Harrison cover the beef of the event. However, I'd like to give my side of my participation towards this event and the questions I asked directly to Frank.

When they finished their initial speech they asked for questions from the audience and I immediately raised my had. I asked, Frank, how did you feel about the Bailout? He responded, he was in support of a Bailout but wasn't so happy about the first go around. He said he felt much more comfortable about the final Bailout. So I followed up by saying, so you were personally for the Bailout. "YES." I quickly stated, "so you were OK with the first one but happier with the second, what about the $140 billion worth of Pork added to the Bill, you were happier with the second one?"

Barbara grabbed the microphone away from Frank and said that others need to ask questions but they would speak to me after things were over. Now, to be completely fair. I waited around for Frank to come out and I politely asked if I could ask my final question and he said, "You've asked enough questions for one day Joe." I replied, oh, come on Frank, I just have one more question. He replied, "not today Joe."

I think it's only fair that the Voters know he dodged the final question which was, the first go around wasn't good enough but after they added $140 Billion worth of Pork you were OK about it?

I think everyone knows by now, I like Frank Kratovil. He's a nice guy and I truly believe with all my heart that this man honestly wants to help the state of Maryland in Congress. The major difference between Andy Harris and Frank Kratovil is the fact that Andy believes that if you give the Government more money, they're going to spend it. Hence the PORK adding up to a total of $840,000,000,000.00!!!!!!!!

So as long as theirs BRIBE money being passed around for Congressmen, it's a good deal. Without it, it sucks on the surface. Look Folks, it is what it is. Not one single individual can deny that.

That being said, in three or more weeks you're going to either vote for a guy who believes in spending a LOT more of your money or you're going to vote for a guy who clearly stated BEFORE the vote was ever done that he was against this Bailout Bill AND the Pork that went with it.
