Salisbury Police Department Press Release I
On July 15, 2008 at approximately 3:56 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department arrested the below listed suspect pursuant to two (2) arrest warrants obtained by Salisbury Police Detectives. The warrants were obtained after the suspect was identified by witnesses as the suspect in a burglary and attempted burglary where he indecently exposed himself to the victims. The incidents occurred on Adams Avenue on June 13, and on Bantry Lane on July 4, 2008. The suspect was identified after Salisbury Police Detectives received information from a witness who was familiar with the suspect and recognized the description.

Salisbury Police Department Press Release II
During the months of June and July, 2008, the Salisbury Police Department Community Action Team initiated an undercover operation targeting individuals involved in prostitution in several areas of the city. This operation focused on both the prostitutes and those individuals soliciting the prostitutes. These areas included the East Church St. area, the Smith St. area and the area including the West side of Salisbury. The operation was the result of a number of citizen’s complaints in these areas in conjunction with the observations of patrol and Community Action Team officers.
As a result of this investigation, the following subjects have been arrested:

Narrative: On 18 July 2008 at 2:23 PM a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office observed a female subject standing in the 500 block of Isabella Street and consuming a beer. When the deputy attempted to identify the female, she refused to tell the deputy her name. The deputy observed a purse lying on the ground in the vicinity of the woman; however, she claimed the purse was not hers. When the deputy checked the purse for identification, he located what he realized as smoking devices along containing crack cocaine. The female then claimed ownership of the purse and identified herself as Myeisha Moss.
Moss was arrested and taken to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where she was processed and taken before the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Moss was held in the Detention Center in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.

Narrative: On 19 July 2008 at 2:30 AM, a deputy on patrol observed a subject sitting on the curb in the 2400 block of N. Salisbury Blvd. When the deputy approached, the subject, later identified as Michael Stanford, walked towards the deputy. When Stanford did this, he left a bag in the spot where he was sitting. When the deputy asked Stanford if the bag was his, Stanford stated it wasn’t. The deputy then examined the bag and inside located what the deputy recognized as marijuana along with an identification card belonging to Stanford.
Stanford was arrested and taken to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and taken before the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Stanford was released on Personal Recognizance

Suspect: Hugo Herrera, 20, Selbyville, DE
Narrative: On 19 July 2008 at 11:13 PM, a deputy stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on the U.S 13 by-pass. Upon asking the driver for his license, he stated he had none and provided a name to the deputy. The deputy tried to verify the information through the Motor Vehicle database, but was unable to do so. During the traffic stop, the deputy located a wallet inside the vehicle that contained what appeared to be Kansas issued identification card along with a social security card. Both items provided a second identity for the subject. The deputy was unable to verify this information also and was able to determine that the two documents were not legitimately issued government documents. The driver was arrested for the fraudulent documents and was then discovered to have another identification card which provided the name of Hugo Herrera. The driver the confirmed this as his true identity which was verified with the assistance of the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Herrera was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where he was processed and taken before the District Court Commissioner. After his initial appearance, Herrera was held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.

Narrative: On 21 July 2008 at 1:19 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported altercation outside a residence in the 11000 block of Old School Road in Mardela Springs. According to information received by the Sheriff’s Office, a male subject was supposed to be outside a residence breaking out the windows. Upon arrival, a male subject fled from the residence, running down a dirt road adjacent to the residence. The deputy chase the subject down the road eventually subduing him and placing the subject, Travis Gaines, into handcuffs. Upon the arrival of a second deputy, another subject, Jeremy Goslee, then approached the two deputies and began pushing the deputies in what appeared to be an attempt to free Gaines from police custody. Goslee was extremely belligerent to the deputies and swung his fists towards the deputies in an attempt to strike them. The deputies were able to place Goslee in handcuffs after a physical struggle where he actively resisted arrest. After arrest, Gaines was discovered to possess what the deputies recognized as cocaine, in a quantity indicative of the intent to distribute.
Both Goslee and Gaines were transported to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where they were processed and taken before the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Gaines was held on $50,000.00 bond while Goslee was held on $5,000.00 bond.

Man Almost Run Down By Lawnmower
While there's an advantage of having a push lawnmower with a reverse gear, this man was doing all he could to get away from this vicious machine. The new Hitachominski Lawnmower is capable of a reverse speed of 10 mph, which is tough to get away from once you lose control.
So be careful of these new products sold in stores near you. ;-)

Kick The Ball Around This Fall With Wicomico Recreation, Parks & Tourism
Registration Deadline is Approaching
(Salisbury, MD) Kick the ball around this fall with Wicomico Recreation, Parks and Tourism. It is not too late to register, but the July 31 deadline is approaching. Wicomico County Youth Soccer is open to children ages three to thirteen of all skill levels. Each child will be placed on a local recreational team with other children from his/her school or neighborhood. Practice for youth soccer will begin in August and leagues will run until November. Each team will play one to two games per week.
Two leagues have been designed specifically for children under the age of six. The Dribblers league and the Squirts league are instruction-based and teach children the basics of soccer while also providing actual game experience. Beginning September 6, the Dribblers and Squirts leagues will meet on Saturdays at 9:00am at the Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex.
Registration is $40 per child. Visit the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Box Office open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm to register. Registration forms can also be downloaded from www.WicomicoSoccer.org and mailed in along with payment. If At First You Don't Succeed, Do It AGAIN!
Mill Street at Rt. 50 was closed again because the water main busted AGAIN. That's right, not that long ago I had a Post up showing this exact same area under repair, yet it must not have been done right because they closed the road off again today to dig up their recent work and correct what went wrong.
Look, I like the guys at Public Works. However, this begs the question, what's going wrong? The Mayor claims the infrastructure in Salisbury is failing, yet when you replace it with new, it's still failing?
Oh well, election time is just around the corner and it's high time we vote in someone who knows how to manage people and get things right.

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2: The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Hello there Joe,
I have been quite busy this week getting ready to put on a mini art show here in Oroville CA. We are central to where a large number of the fires have been and in an effort to replenish the local firefighters' equipment etc, I am hoping this art show will be of help. I particularly loved the one you took of the OC guy hauling the hose and hope I did it justice. I will be adding more to this series of "daily paintings".
In writing up our business plan, my business partner Jackie and I decided to opt for a local cause for our 10% to charity. So we thought of the firefighters as it would directly affect the community without too much administration!!! Heaven forbid! Gary Comegys, Firefighter?
The first thing I want to know is, why is Gary Comegys trying to come off as a Salisbury Firefighter on a current Website? Nevertheless, the main topic I'd like to bring to every one's attention is, just how does this guy get ALL the free time off the SHA? That is his full time job, right?
I mean, it begs to question, there must be something in it for the SHA to allow one of their own employees to take off time from his main job to take photo ops, MML Meetings, you name it, the list goes on and on, day after day.

I HAVE TO PASS A URINE TEST FOR MY JOB... SO I AGREED 100%
Like a lot of folks, I have a job--I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.
I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work. . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check!?
