This Is How The Downtown Plaza Should Look!

It doesn't take all that much energy to keep something like this clean. Ocean City knows how to design it as well as easily maintain it and the City of Salisbury is simply clueless.

Close the road to traffic and make it a peaceful place to enjoy shopping and even entertainment. Whatever you did Barrie, it didn't work! Let some new blood come in and take it over and I'll bet you dollar for dollar my way will work?

In the mean time we can always drive to Ocean City and enjoy shopping there. Besides, they need the tax dollars more than Salisbury does, right Barrie?

Caterina Maria Speaks Out

To me the real problem is that Joe was harassed outside the Zoo, or even inside the Zoo, by City officials and police. Tell me again why he is not supposed to set foot there? For taking pictures?

Something about these posts by cracker-barrel lawyers makes me think of communist Russia or Nazi Germany. Some frantic justification of bullying by the government going on here. We have a fascist government here in Salisbury. It operates without consent of the citizenry in every sphere: zoning, public works, budget and police and fire protection. The Mayor makes unilateral concessions to every rich crony of her husband and his business partners who bumble into the GOB. Public squawking over this is scornfully brushed aside in her mouth-organ, the Daily Times.

Documents are hidden from the public, the Mayor lies about the audit, and the Council makes its buddies rich over the protests of people who bother to get off their behinds and speak out. Crime skyrockets, so that Salisbury is the most criminal city in ALL of Maryland, per capita, including Baltimore. Is there any admission of this by the City government? Hell, no. Just like in Nazi Germany.

All this under the watchful eye of a Mayor who is a notorious control freak. You have a Zoo where one its employees tears her back apart on the job and she is fired the next day, unethically and illegally. The City handily loses the workmen's comp case, because it behaved like a Soviet GULAG, and there is still the rule of law elsewhere, at the fed and state level. The Zoo Director behaves like a drunken frat-boy, publically urinating for the 'delight' of his female employees. If the police saw Joe do that he'd be locked up instantly. Is that justice?

Joe, married to the injured employee who was dumped by the Mayor's command, starts to document other City Zoo misdeeds. Among them, the mysteriously high animal mortality at the same Zoo that tried to throw his wife away like a used tissue. Then he's told to stay out of the Zoo, and Rapp, the Zoo Director, claims that in an altercation, Joe shouted obscenities and shoved him. There is no real case, because Rapp is lying, and it's on videotape, so it's essentially dismissed (stet). Any apologies from the Mayor or Rapp over the illegal firing of the injured employee? Any explanation of animal mortality, or even account of it? Any explanation of why the case against Joe went stet? No. This City doesn't account for anything to anyone but the Mayor. The taxpayers who question this and demand justice here are treated with contempt and are slandered in the City-controlled press and at the Council meetings, by these criminals on the public dole.

So Joe IS from Delmar. That means that he is somewhat out of the reach of Her Majesty's tentacles, and maybe that explains why he alone has the cojones to go around with his camera to photograph the incompetent and illegal operation of a totalitarian city. And you spontaneous lawyers are quickly taking up for the same City government that is robbing you blind and allowing you to be exposed to the depredations of rapists and murderers.

It would take another court case to sort this out, but in the meantime you're ready to throw Joe to the dogs. This is how most people act when the government goes totalitarian. To make themselves feel better about sitting on their cowardly duffs, they shoot down someone who tries to air the corruption in the place.

Joe may not be diplomatic and may be overly assertive with his camera at times, but where he comes from this is called exercising your civil rights. He's a New Yorker and those people don't take crap from the likes of a Barrie Tilghman. On the Shore, where politeness often means looking the other way while your buddies get rich overloading the infrastructure, his behavior is shocking. But I for one am glad he has the nerve to do what he has done, and I'll leave it to a judge in to figure out when he's stepping over the line. I wouldn't trust anyone in employed by this city to do it.

Bill Duvall Chooses Censorship!!!!!

The rash of trash comments earlier this week persuaded me that I need to, in blogesee, "enable verfification." In plain English, comments from "non-members" will be reviewed before posting. The "member list" will be established as we progress.

All of this means that some delay in posting comments will be inevitable. That is a shame, but I have better things to do with my life than constantly monitoring this site for garbage. Read it here.

I need to put in my two cents. IN all the years I've been reading Duvafiles, I had never once seen him delete a comment. That is, up until recently. To be the first victim and not once using a curse word through me for a loop! All I had to do was mention on his Blog that Paul Wilbur was his COEIU and the next thing I knew my comment was GONE!

Too many people are catching on to the fact that Paul must be his man and Bill has done anything and everything to protect his site and Paul. I repeated this for a second time about a week later and once again the message was immediately pulled.

IMO, I've also notice a very different Bill Duvall lately. He's been very aggressive, (not his usual style) and to stick with the Doris thing for four days in a row, well, YAWN! I personally think we're seeing the beginning of the end of Duvafiles.

Even When They Fix It, They Screw It Up!

Can someone please tell Public Works the lights go on at night, not during the day? They did in fact fix this particular burned out light but it seems to be light 24/7. I guess that's a good thing, right?

Perhaps Chief Webster Would Like To Explain This?

This is the beginning series of several posts to come in the future. Back in the day when Jim Rapp and I had our situation at the Salisbury Zoo, Jim called the Police on me. When they arrived, (mind you, I was 50 yards outside of the Zoo at this point) they immediately informed me that I was trespassing in a PUBLIC ZOO and I must leave.

The following audio is of the Detective explaining to me that I could not record our conversation and I respectfully turned it off. However, I had every right to record what was going on and in fact the Salisbury Police Department Detective broke the law. He threatened to confiscate my equipment and lock me up if I did not cooperate.

Much More To Come Folks!

Who's Been Locked Up Longer?

Considering these bikes have been locked up on this rack for a minimum of 2 months now, I'd assume their owners were locked up in Jail for the same period of time so far. Maybe they should relocate this rack next to the front entrance where they would be forced to recognize a bike sitting there for so many months at a time and do something about it?

Surprise!!!

Take a wild guess how long the Mayor kept this smile on her face once she realized it was me behind the camera? It was a sight to see!

The Salisbury Police Are Everywhere At Night

As cold as it is, these guys couldn't care less. One thing I can tell you is that the Downtown are is a place no criminal in their right mind would mess with these days. If you own a scanner, turn it on and listen in and see just how serious these guys are taking this area. Thanks Guys!

That's What I'm Talking About!

The name Tom Stevenson hasn't been on the Blogs lately but the man should be recognized for making a difference. This property was put on notice recently for all the littering. However, who owns the property? Good luck getting it cleaned up Tom.

How Many Months Does It Take To Put Up A Trailer?

It must be Public Works constructing it.
Opening Fall of 2006
LOL!

THE FIX IS ON!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies & Gentlemen, I owe you an apology, (sort of).

Not long ago I had proudly stated that when it came to our poll questions, you could only vote "one time" in one year, per question. I was wrong and I'm sorry about that.

However, allow me to further explain. I had been speaking with a close friend who brought this subject up and he informed me that the poll could in fact be fixed. I immediately defended the poll by stating we had set it up for only one vote, per question, per year.

He said to me, let me give you an example. Take a look at so and so's numbers, so I did. He said, take a look at it again tomorrow morning. The next morning I looked at it and their numbers had risen by about a hundred more, overnight. Still not totally convinced, I went to his office and actually watched him alter the numbers right in front of my eyes.

That being said, many of the polls on this Blog Site as well as others cannot be trusted. We had been curious about why the poll on the $1.00 fee to get into the Zoo had started out in favor of charging the $1.00 fee and the next morning there were some 200 more votes in favor of not charging the fee.

The same went for Chief Webster. His numbers were definitely in favor or relieving him as Chief of Police for Salisbury and the next thing I knew, (overnight one night) his numbers also had risen by some 200 + votes.

So in my opinion, either Jim Rapp fixed the polls for the Zoo, Chief Webster fixed his own numbers, perhaps the Mayor had someone do it, we're not positively sure who did it but based on the fact that it happened overnight during the slower period of visitors at night, I'm now convinced they have been fixed.

You should be real proud of yourselves Chief Webster and Jim Rapp. You're lying to the public and covering your asses because you knew the numbers would overwhelmingly show the actual lack of support you truly have. One way to prove that is, no one is willing to make donations at the Zoo any more. Barrie Tilghman wants a Free Zoo in the City of Salisbury and she wants the taxpayers to pay for all these dead animals and the replacement of such regularly and since they're not coming to your door regularly to ask for cash to pay for new ones, the taxpayers simply don't know where their money is being spent.

As for the Chief, desperate people do desperate things. IMO, it's cheating and cheating is almost a criminal act. What does that tell you about your Chief of Police!

Jimmy's Grille, 2-7-07

You're really starting to impress everyone with your powers Barrie Tilghman.
ROTFLMAO!

Coming To A City Near You!

Exhausted? Hung Over? Sick????????

This Chef wasn't afraid to show the Public that he was not in any condition to do any work as he sat at the very front table in this restaurant trying to take a nap. I wasn't going to take the chance to go in and eat, should it have been the fact that he was sick! Sorry Charles, no ambulance showed up to take him away so you'll just have to keep listening to your scanner to find new clients.

Now That's Interesting!

I'm sure someone was walking through the Plaza with e 4 foot fluorescent lamp in tow and decided to drop it into this large trash can. NOT! Get a grip Barrie, the taxpayers are paying for commercial trash pickup on the Plaza.

Oh, so you know, it's against the law to throw away these fluorescent lamps, believe it or not. It's considered hazardous waste because of the mercury inside of the lamp. So it's interesting that Folks are throwing away fluorescent lamps in the City's Dumpsters. It not only save you money, it saves you from also finding a hazardous waste area to get rid of them.

If you ever see anyone throwing these lamps into a dumpster and busting them, let them know that they'll more than likely get a very serious case of cancer from the mercury they breathe in. Not something the Government is going to inform you of but it's a fact. For those who would like to challenge this, look up the word mercury. Do also note that this lamp is not green on the end, therefore it has a much higher mercury content inside the lamp too.
