Barrie Tilghman Is A Liar And A Scam Artist!

The MDE asked numerous times if they could place "test wells" near the Sludge Pit and Barrie Tilghman refused to respond. That's a fact.

Barrie Tilghman was quoted as saying, "If we believe that there was any evidence about ANY concern about leakage or any compromise, we would be the first to do whatever it took to get the sludge out of there and take care of it."

ANY EVIDENCE? DEE, DEE, DEEEE! How about a liner that was guaranteed for only 30 days and is still in place for 20 years now. ARE YOU THAT MENTALLY CHALLENGED?

Barrie Tilghman, Dave Winslow and John Jacobs lied about how long a guarantee there was on that liner at least two different times. They had NO permit for the liner, even though the Daily Times made it sound as if they did. They had a permit for 30 DAYS, 20 years ago!

The City of Salisbury HID THIS SLUDGE PIT from the MDE for years and years and years! I know for a personal fact that I had to personally, (via cell phones) direct the Inspectors to that area in which they were illegally storing human feces on the ground, without plastic liners underneath it as well as the Sludge Pit. I don't give a damn what The Daily Times says or anyone else, I have first hand knowledge on this matter, unlike ANY other News Source.

The Times brightens their article by stating they're pleased because the fine was reduced by $15,000.00. They don't say why they're happy and or the Mayor but I'll state it for them and help them out a bit. THAT'S $15,00.00 LESS THE TAX PAYERS HAVE TO PUT OUT FOR THEIR LIES AND ILLEGAL ACTIVITY! That's what's good about the reduction.

Here's the Big one though. Barrie Tilghman said, Granting the City till July also allows the City to dispose of the sludge conservatively through its wastewater treatment facility, rather than have to pay thousands in expenses for special equipment to remove the sludge expediently. OK Barrie, if it were so easy to do, why hasn't the City removed it for the past 20 years? Huh? Huh? Huh?

"The sludge is very dry. The City generally tries to pump the water as it fell, rather than let it sit and get sloppy." Uh, Oh, isn't that what part of the fines against the City were for Barrie? The Pit was overflowing and there was VERY CLEAR evidence of that and the MDE immediately forced the City to remove I believe it was 2 feet off the top at the time. Pushkar, (MDE) then said, "The fact that it is so dry, it is going to cause a problem." OK Folks, who do you trust here? A Guy who's professional experience is telling you there's going to be a problem or a Housewife of a Mayor who talks out of her a** most of the time?

They go on to say. Tilghman said the City is pumping water back in, and the sludge is being removed quickly. OK, since when did you file with the MDE to remove the current sludge? I read the documents to state differently and this quote might just put the Mayor in some serious trouble. Is the City removing the sludge already?

Folks, the bottom line will obviously be what the MDE finds after they remove the sludge. You can't bury a plastic bag in the ground, dig it out 20 years later and find that it hasn't torn or had something puncture it. I'm in the plastic manufacturing industry and I can clearly say with full confidence, this issue is going to get much bigger once they remove the sludge and find they did contaminate the soil/river.

The fact that the Mayor refused to respond by allowing the MDE to place several test wells in the ground clearly shows they have something big to hide. She's run for cover again. She's lied again to the public and when this is all said and done, this will be used against her in Court.

So sadly the reduction of the fine down to $10,000.00 will be short lived, I'm sorry to say. The citizens should look at this behavior with very keen eyes and ask Gary Comegys, Lynn Cathcart and Mike Dunn how they feel about this exact situation to show you who you'll be voting for in a few months for Council. Should they support the Mayor and be wrong, FIRE THEM! Then once the Mayor is found wrong about the liner, FIRE HER TOO!

Let's talk, Sassafras Meadows!

Mike Dunn has claimed Publicly numerous times that he has NOT made a profit on the sale of Sassafras Meadows to Tom Ruark. This could be VERY true.

HOWEVER, let's take a look at this sale in a whole new light. I had a one on one conversation with Tom Ruark a few months ago about this project whereas Tom explained to me that although the property is in fact dedicated to him, he is only paying for each lot as they are built on and sold.

This being said, Mike Dunn and his Father have NOT made a profit on Sassafras Meadows, YET! However, as time goes on and more and more lots are paid for, the Dunn's will stand to make a small fortune of the complete sale of this property over the years to come.

When Debbie Campbell asked once again who the principals are within the LLC of this property/sale, Dunn once again refused to speak up and tell who was involved.

One more note of thought. Mike Dunn stated that his father placed Mike Dunn's name on the property for estate interests in case anything ever happened to his Father. Well, Mike Dunn's name is not on other properties owned by his Father and Partner. So IMO, he's full of crap.

It's time Mike Dunn came clean with all of this information and possibly the State Prosecutors Office can start digging their heels in deep and get to the bottom of who is involved and how much money will be made on a sale the President of the City Council made sure fell into the right hands to force City Water & Sewer as well as an annexation to take place. Enquiring minds want to know! After all, rumor has it Mike Dunn has now claimed to others he's now a millionaire. Welcome to the club Mike.

Poor Mr. Jannace will be beside himself when he's placed in a position he can't go on the attack any more, especially on the posts that will be about him. The Zoo Staff will also simply have to read the Posts and deal with what is being said because anyone on the attack any longer will be eliminated from ever posting again and IP Addresses can and will be followed from this new site.

Blogger doesn't allow us to research all that much and I am truly sorry for all the recent comments. If I could fix it without moderating the site, I would. So please be patient and we'll be on line in no time.

There's More To The MDE & WWTP Than Meets The Eye

First of all, let me assure you that this Sludge Pit is about the size of a true football field. These photos that I have provided do not offer the true scope of just how large this thing actually is.

Secondly, the human feces that is in this massive Pit is now solid as a rock, (so to speak). It must be comepletely wet down in order to turn it back into sludge and then pumped out. Not an easy thing to do in the winter months they're expected to get started on this project.

What I find even more important is what's going to happen once they get to the bottom and the MDE will then have free reigns to go in there and inspect the soil below and get something they have been waiting FOREVER to get to the bottom of. Has this Sludge Pit been leaching into the ground and ultimately into the River?

You see Folks, this is the BIG issue at hand. I spoke directly with Dave Pushkar months ago when I said, what ever happened to the test wells you were trying to put in there? He replied, the City has refused to respond to us referencing that matter. When I asked why he thought they were not responding he replied, that's pretty obvious, don't you think?

What was obvious was the fact that John Jacobs, Dave Winslow and Barrie Tilghman know for a fact that a liner that was guaranteed for only 30 days couldn't have held up for 20 years and there's a damn good chance once this material is eliminated the MDE is going to find that it did in fact leak, the soil is contaminated and the fines will be in the millions!

Barrie has been a master at cover ups till the Blogs came along and now the corruption is finally being exposed to a point these illegal activities could bankrupt the City of Salisbury. The values of the properties surrounding the Sludge Pit could plummet and IMO these people would also have the right to sue the City for illegal activity and no permits!

This story is going to get bigger and bigger and as they say, it's going to get worse before it ever gets any better. I smell a Press Conference coming on, possibly even today!!!!! I'm reaching out to my friends in the so called MSM to please give me the heads up if this does in fact come about?

The Old Union Station Is Under Construction

The owners of the Red Roost have purchased the property and plan on turning it into another restaurant in their fleet of restaurants currently own and operated by this group.

The Zoo Asks For Additional Funds They Already Raised

Tell me, what has the Salisbury Zoo done to deserve any more funds from the Public? It seems to me that taxes are on the rise and the Salisbury Zoo is nothing less than a burden on the community.

Granted, having a Zoo is a wonderful thing for "any" community but the "Pride of Salisbury" is now nothing more than a complete embarrassment any more.

Known for numerous dead animals, trash all over the river, illegal chemicals and raw sewage being dumped into the river, multiple lies to the public about their actual inventory going from their proud 500 animals all the way down to 115 animals left as well as multiple lies about animal deaths each month. The Zoo has become a final resting place for any animal entering its gates.

Even most recently there were two noticeable organizations that had eliminated themselves from the Christmas Day Parade and that was the Salisbury Police Department and the Salisbury Zoo. They don't give back and say thank you, unless there's money in it for them. Again, the Zoo is no longer the pride of the City and this was caused by its Director, Jim Rapp and Chairman/President of the Zoo Commission, Ron Alessi.

The Salisbury Zoo, (which was named one of the top 10 Zoo's in America back in the 70's) is now a disgrace under the current leadership which refuses to ask for an admission at the gates and demands to keep this a Free Zoo. This would be fine if they weren't looking for some $36,000,000.00 for a new Master Plan! This would be fine if taxes weren't about to skyrocket in the City next year!

It has been suggested by other Zoo Commission Members that they ask for a minimal charge at the gates and Alessi goes absolutely nuts whenever anyone even suggests it and immediately states, "Not while I'm alive!" How about $1.00 to enter if you live outside the City of Salisbury? This isn't asking for too much, is it?

Instead, ALL of you are subjected to misleading letters like the one above asking you for even more money for the Zoo for exhibits that have already been FULLY PAID FOR! They admit this right in their own letter. The Hazel Family donated some $250,000.00 to the Zoo for this exhibit but since Alessi is hot off the campaign trail and realizes that if you just ask people for money, some people will in fact do so from the kindness of their hearts.

Similar to the Audobon Zoo in New Orleans who didn't need a penny, instead they needed physical help, Rapp reached out to the local public and asked for donations they didn't even need! He then doubled it by taking money they had raised from a fund raiser and sent the funds in the name of the Zoo and not the people who donated the money. Nevertheless, the Audobon Zoo didn't need the funds and the Salisbury Zoo could have used these funds to build out a $2,000,000.00 building the AZA is demanding the Zoo build immediately.

I could go on and on about the wrongs within the management of the Salisbury Zoo. However, what's important here is the burden Ron Alessi and Jim Rapp are placing on the Citizens of Salisbury. 70% of the residential homes in the City of Salisbury are renters. This means they are depending on 30% of the people in Salisbury to carry this huge load. I say huge because once the Master Plan is built out, who's going to foot the bill to do the upkeep on the buildings? Who's going to come up with the additional income to pay for the full time Veterinarian the AZA is demanding the have on duty? Eho's going to pay for the additional Staff to care the the animals? Who's going to pay for the food to feed these animals? You know who that person will be, YOU!

I was at the Zoo Commission Meeting where I personally asked Ron Alessi just how much money of the Master Plan was going to come from the Citizens and he replied, "Not A Dime."

They claimed they were going to reach out for Corporate Funds and apply for Grants. They even suggested they might hire yet another grant writer, (something Carrie Sammis was hired to do and got a HUGE raise for doing so) so they could raise even more money. They even talked about hiring a fund raising company who would take 40% od the money raised for themselves, meaning they'd have to raise many more millions of dollars to pay that company off and then pay for the Master Plan Build Out.

My suggestion to all of you is, don't give the Salisbury Zoo a Penny! Let them do their jobs for once and raise the funds they need through outside sources. If they can do so on their own, well, Rapp will finally be doing something all Directors of Zoo's are hired to do, keep the Zoo free from taking money from taxpayers.

This may teach Rapp and Alessi that if you raise $30,000.00 at a Halloween event, they may not be so quick to send $15,000.00 of it to a third world country and actually keep it here in their own Zoo!

I am all for a wonderful Zoo in Salisbury. However, it's time they start acting responsible and carry their own weight. You may not like what I'm saying here, you may not even agree with what I'm saying. However, a small admission would create quite a bit of relief and that relief is on you the taxpayers. If they have 350,000 people coming through the doors each year and they only asked for $1.00, that's an additional $350,000.00 towards salaries and or feeding all the animals for an entire year.

Sending out mailers asking for funds for an exhibit they already raised all the funds for is simply over the top though. Instead, send a care package to our Troops who are actually making a difference for ALL of us this year.

Red Net Alert!!!!!

The Salisbury Waste Water Treatment Plant, (WWTP) has been fined $10,000.00 by the MDE for violations within the Sludge Pit #2.

The original fines were set at $25,000.00 but after an appeal by the City they have agreed to lower them down to $10,000.00 . NOW, that being said, this is WONDERFUL for the taxpayers. However, there's a catch!

The MDE knows the City was refusing to cooperate so they have set some VERY serious guidelines to the entire deal! They have till July, 2007 to remove 100% of the Sludge from Pit #2! IF they do NOT remove it by July the fine instantly goes to $50,000.00!

To TOP that, the MDE is refusing the allow the City to put this sludge through their own system, which is what the Mayor and Jacobs were shooting for! They must remove it all or they will be slammed with the $50,000.00 "administrative penalty" fine!

There's no screwing with this consent order Folks, it's final! Here's what I'd like everyone to think about. The Mayor and John Jacobs wanted to hire Wilber and another Firm out of Virginia to handle this appeal. Everyone knows it cost more than $15,000.00 in legal fees to try to get something reduced, and for what? Between the legal fees and the $10,000.00 fine, they're at an easy $25,000.00 anyway.

Then on top of that they had hoped they could process this Sludge through their own Plant and they completely failed. So at Taxpayers expense, they not only BROKE THE LAW, they tried fighting the MDE and IMO they lost their rear ends because now they/YOU will have to front at least $200,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 to remove the Sludge!

CHECK MATE BARRIE TILGHMAN!

By the way, Barrie is probably reading this here first as the MDE made sure I was the very first to receive the news!
