Did You Visit Your Children Or Grandchildren At School This Week?

This week parents and grandparents were invited to visit their children/grandchildren at School and see their Teachers work in progress. My wife went the other day and I chose to go on Friday, knowing the Teacher would be in a great mood. I didn't want to get sent to the Office!

I arrived and the children were playing in their playground like a swarm of bees. After all the screaming and yelling was over and they headed back to class, they lined up and marched like little soldiers and formed a line in the classroom so they could all get a drink of water. No noise children, no speaking in line. Yeah, Right!

You then had your drink and went back to your table and lay your head down till everyone was finished while listening to classical music giving that calm factor effect. Worked for me, I almost fell asleep listening.

After an hour or so of the slowest teacher I had every heard in my life, I couldn't take it any more. I earned my brownie points, I lasted longer than my own goal and even my wife's goals for me, I'm outta here!

I was dreading the question from the Teacher, Mr. Albero, why don't you tell the children what you do for a living? Well, I snap pictures of dead animals at the Salisbury Zoo, I get great close up shots of the Mayor not wearing a bra, I get to stand in piles of shit taking pictures of illegal activity at the Salisbury WWTP and best of all little boys and girls, I don't even get paid for it!

Yeah, it was time for me to leave, so I did just that. My Grandson was very happy to see me and quite honestly I was very happy to spend such quality time with him as well. However, enough was enough. Till next year............

Sassafras Passes Planning & Zoning Without An Annexation Once Again!

Lynn Cathcart said it better than anyone else there. "Why are we doing this?" Why are we meeting on all of this if it means nothing at all until the City annexes the property?

I'll tell you why Lynn. Because there's no doubt the City will illegally annex the property and why waste time. The sooner everyone else approves something that is illegal, the sooner the City can say, well Planning & Zoning said it was OK so it must be legal.

What I found most interesting in this meeting was the mention of 80 Senior Housing Units. They're still pushing this issue when the State has already told them they no longer qualify for Grant money. I guess it just sounds good?

The developers even admitted yesterday that the Sassafras project was all for seniors but that was brought up, then dropped, brought up again and then dropped again. Look you Idiot, the State isn't stupid, the City and County are. The project was a scam from the beginning and it remains one still today.

Go back to the original agreements for this property or simply shut it down. The builders did say they will not file permits to start any new projects there until it is annexed.

The Mans Drinking Cup Is Bigger Than His Head!

At yesterday's Planning & Zoning Meeting I watched this Chucklehead pick up a mug like I have never seen before and start slamming down gulp after gulp of whatever was in this 1/2 keg of liquid.

Now I could see if the guy was 700 lbs and couldn't get out of bed. Yeah, bring him a mug like this one. However, I'll assure you this guy drives down the road with this thing and as you can clearly see, he can't see didly!

So should we contact the manufacturer and demand they put rear view and side mirrors on these things as they are clearly a hazard to any conditions?

Maybe if the manufacturer was smart they'd do one of those infomercial deals where they sell the mug for $19.95 but offer the pee cup that would accompany this mug for free? "Never stop working. Simply slam your favorite beverage and pee right into the free cup every 5 minutes and your employer can't terminate you for taking too many breaks."

Randy Taylor Leaves Another Mess

There are violations everywhere you look on the Randy Taylor property and absolutely nothing gets done about it. Don't EVER think for a second there isn't such a thing as a FOB!

The Salisbury Kennel Club Is One Step Closer To Relocating To Winter Place Park

The Planning & Zoning Commission approved the Salisbury Kennel Clubs drafts and plans for their almost 10,000 sq. ft. building now being put out for bid.

The new location will be a training facility only as well as a place to hold seminars. There will not be a single animal held their overnight and all pet owners will accompany their pets the entire time they are there.

Barbara Bounds, President of the Salisbury Kennel Club explained how they hoped to start building in February. They are looking for donations should you be interested in supporting this group.

The Planning & Zoning Commission asked that they use a black vinyl coated chain link fence along Rt. 50 where the property will back up to but other than that the project is a go.

Your City Tax Dollars Hard At Work

It takes at least four City Employees to close off the Downtown Plaza, water plants, hold up rakes and shovels, fold their arms, lean back and hold conversations.

Just above the 10 MPH Sign it says, "No Thru Trucks." Dee, Dee, Deeee! What's that white thing the Public Works is driving through there Barrie? Maybe that's why the Officer was there. Did he give them a ticket?

Signs Are Still Everywhere

My hat is tipped to Mr. Mike Lewis who has taken the removal of signs VERY seriously.

Look around Folks, you won't see a Mike Lewis Sign anywhere because he's been out doing the right thing and removing his own signs without the property owner doing it themselves.

If you drive inside the City there are campaign signs all over the windows, even in the Cannon Building. I wonder what Idiot owns this building? I took this picture yesterday.

Terry Cohen will be on the Bill Reddish show on WICO 1320AM at 7:40 a.m. tomorrow, (Friday) to discuss the Old Mall and tax increment financing (TIF).

Ronald Meroney, (Former News Anchor) Is Sentenced Today

By agreement, Ronald Meroney was sentenced to 15 years, with all but the first 18 months suspended. The 18 months to be served in home detention in Tennessee with 5 years of supervised probation.

He is to receive child abuse intervention therapy, have no unsupervised contact with minors, register as a sex offender in any state in which he should reside. He apologized to the victims in Wicomico County. As it turns out, the victim had certain goals when the States Attorney's Office went into this case and they were able to achieve those goals for her.

Ronald Meroney is 70 years old at present. There's a long history with him but most other states have a statute of limitations that would prevent him from being prosecuted to this point. The Wicomico County States Attorneys Office is probably in the handful of Counties in Maryland that would have initiated a case this old.

A challenging case with a perfect end result. Who knows, maybe this story will go National?

I even mentioned to Art Webster that he better watch out while he was walking outside with the high winds today, this material could fall on someone's head!

Another Murder In Salisbury

I'm not going to get into the complete story on the most recent murder in the City of Salisbury but I am going to direct everyone back to the photos in the Daily Times and the Crime Scene photos of the Detectives there the following morning.

What I find most interesting is, where was Chief Webster? My money says he was enjoying his residence, a place called Ocean City, Maryland. Did he make the drive back to Salisbury that evening to be a part of a very serious crime? Where was he the following morning?

The infamous suit and tie man, (IMO) can't play a respected roll in the Salisbury Police Department when he's never around when the "serious" crimes are going on. In all honesty, I'm really not trying to pick on the man. I simply find it ironic that he lives more than 30 miles away and I'll simply assume he responds with, I have full confidence in my Detectives and Officers.

That's why the City of Salisbury is the 20th most dangerous City in AMERICA! Let me see now, has there even been a murder in the past year in Delmar? We are right next door to Salisbury! You build the apartments, condos and so forth and criminals will come, it's just a proven fact.

What do you call it Barrie Tilghman, Mike Dunn & Gary Comegys, "Smart Growth?" I call it tax greed and Idiots.
