TAG! YOU'RE (full of sh)IT!
http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=2606557&page=1
Over the last couple of weeks a few schools have banned the game of tag.
It's just too dangerous both physically and mentally for our little darlings to
continue playing. What in the hell are we coming to with this insanity?
It appears the same thing has happened to dodge ball.
Part of the reasoning behind this is to avoid accidents during recess.
I don't understand why at every turn we need to protect kids from
skinned knees and elbows. They're a common part of growing up. We're
going to be a nation of crybabies in a generation or two if this garbage is
allowed to continue. Who didn't proudly display the scabs from an horrific
bicycle wreck as a kid? Don't chicks dig scars?
What I find even more disturbing is that the motivation for this lunacy also
includes protecting kids from the emotional let down of being eliminated.
It is called failure. Everyone fails at something on many occasions during
their lifetime. It isn't fun, but it happens. You either deal with it or you
don't. In my humble opinion you are better suited to deal with failure on
major issues as adults, like relationships and jobs, if you've been allowed to
fail at minor things, like dodgeball and tag, as a child.
Honestly I'm not even certain why they consider tag an elimination game.
When I was a kid, five to ten of us would run around like little idiots slapping
each other and shouting "tag you're it" without ever sitting down. That would
go on until we were forced to quit by an adult, got distracted by a snake, or just
plain exhausted.
What's next?

Civic Center Craft Show

If you're into Crafts, the Civic Center is the place to be this weekend. We even found a bottle of shampoo with our "NEMO" on the label. One of the Exhibitors tried to sell me a Pound Cake and when we picked it up we said, this isn't a pound. She replied, it's actually 2 pounds. I said, then it's not a Pound Cake. She replied, yes it really is. I said, no, it's a Double Pound Cake or a Double Pounder. She said, if you cut it in half it would be a Pound Cake. I said, no, if you cut it in half it would be a half a Pound Cake. She stood there for quite a while trying to say something but was too dumbfounded to get anything out. I Won!
Today is the last day so make sure you get out and check it out. Tell the Lady with the Pound Cake I said hello. LOL
Station 7

The long awaited arrival of the new Pittsville Restaurant named Station 7 is just around the corner. The addition is complete, the hoods are in, the beer lines and soda lines are installed in the upper and lower bar, the drywall is being installed as we speak and the paint is going on the walls where code calls for it. Todd and Carol Wampler couldn't be more excited, AND exhausted! The photos above will give you an idea just how far they've come but within the next 2 weeks, well, things will be complete and a Grand Opening will be the talk of the Town.
Get a look at that one photo of the new hood just installed! That's a HUGE hood! The bar upstairs was being stained yesterday and I gotta tell you Folks, they did a nice job upstairs! The Salisbury area needed a good restaurant, one that everyone can brag about and this is going to be the place, you'll see!

Car Thefts On The Rise In Salisbury!
I just received another call from another friend of mine who just had their car stolen overnight! This makes it the second friend in two weeks that had their car stolen in two weeks! It may be the 20th most dangerous City in America but from what I can tell, everyone's Insurance rates are about to skyrocket as well!
This is also another reason why the Chief of Police should live in the City. Maybe if his car was stolen they'd do more about crime? Don't get me completely wrong here folks, it's far more involved than you think. The economy sucks, places are going out of business like there's no tomorrow, millions and millions of people are declaring bankruptcy each and every month in record numbers, children are dropping out of schools like there's no tomorrow and everyone wonders why kids are breaking into homes and stealing cars? Dee, Dee, Deeeee!
If you know of anyone else who has had their vehicle stolen lately, let us know. This could get very interesting. Maybe there's a whole lot more of this going on then we know of?

Charles Jannace Responds To A Comment Made By Ron Alessi

Ron Alessi said, "I think our Schools are too fancy."
I'm almost sorry I didn't get Rick Pollitt's facial reaction as well but it seems very clear to me that everyone was in awe once Alessi made the statement and you could almost tell Ron knew immediately he had just made another major screw up last night.
I would have covered my face in disgust as well Charles. You're only competition at this point is Rick Pollitt, we all know that.
One Camden Robber Is In Custody, One Still On The Loose.
An African-American male suspect seen by neighbor on Loblolly across street from one house already robbed. Alarm was going off. She called county sheriffs, who while there, got call that suspect was spotted on Twin Tree at Fountain.I drove over to Twin Tree area to keep an eye out and to be sure they knew who might be able to sight I.D. them about houses hit on Pinehurst, elsewhere on Loblolly and on Elberta. I notified the Loblolly homeowner, who is a friend so she could take appropriate action.
While out in my car, saw the Sheriff's men had overtaken the suspect and were talking with him.Overheard deputies telling male they'd "do what they could, no promises" if he cooperates and I heard suspect talking about the Causasian male, still believed to be in the neighborhood on bicycle. Also heard them tell male they had they he was going to ride with them and show them every house he hit.And that is what they are doing right this minute!
Be on the lookout today for tall, thin Causasian male, white Maryland Terps sweatshirt with blue jeans on a bicycle, still believed to be in the neighborhood per my talk with SPD officers King and one other officer. Please call your neighbors who don't have email. Thanks to all, especially the alert neighbors making good observations. Again, please keep an eye out for the suspect still at large. I feel very good that we will bring this episode to a close with law enforcement helping neighbors end this pair's spree.
Terry Cohen
Update,
Tim, Just a follow up to our phone conversation. One arrest has just been made at 1200 today for the burglaries in the area. A second suspect is out there and is a juvenile, however it is believed there will be information as to his identity shortly. As is the case with all juveniles we cannot release the names. Please tell everyone to remain vigilant.

"Salisbury," Coming To A Neighborhood Near You!
Better read the fine print here Folks because they're adding in everything in-between too and it looks like some extra outside the original plan as well?

Is Delmarva Dealings Trying To Make A Comeback?
Every so often I'll go down memory lane and click on some of "my favorites" to see who's doing what and so forth. I recently popped onto http://www.delmarvadealings.com and found they have been tampering with the old Blog Site again, this time creating a Halloween Color Scheme but no new news. I have been seeing its Founder around lately, in which I have not seen him in many, many months. Could it be they see a slot once again? Time will tell.
Charles Jannace Won Tonight's Forum Hands Down!

Ladies & Gentlemen,
Allow me to start with this. Even if you wanted to come tonight, there wasn't a seat available. For the very first time citizen participation packed the house! Victory #1.
Secondly, not only did Charles flow through every question with ease, the other Candidates were stating flat out, Mr. Jannace is 100% correct, over and over again!
If you haven't listened to him before, you better get out there and listen closely because the man is coming on fast and he's about to pass the pack and take this to victory lane!
Heck, I even think he was able to take a nap in-between questions because they would simply mirror what he was saying! (LOL)
I know I've been hard on the guy lately and in all honest you have to play reverse psychology on Charles to get him to listen and or understand but nevertheless, it's working! Sorry Charles but it's the truth.
I guess it's time to get even tougher on him because if I keep this up he's gonna win this thing, no questions asked! Great night, great performance, great attendance and Tim Spies, I'm so proud of what you pulled together tonight! Wicomico County should be honored to work with you and I hope to see you in the spot light in the very near future because you, my friend, make things happen!
In closing, I forgot to mention in past Posts about another thing Alessi does at these Forums. I'll use tonight as an example but do remember this happens at every single one of them, even when it's only him and Pollitt. They ask the question and choose Charles to go first. Then Pollitt goes next, keep in mind that Charles and Rick have answered the question and have taken two to three minutes to express their thoughts on the question and Alessi always says, "I'm sorry, can you repeat the question again?" He does this time and time again Folks in each debate. Thank God they invented key chains that let you know where your car is in the parking lot Ron because I don't think you'd ever find it without the horn and lights going off.
Initiation Night For Charles Jannace

As this truly was the first Forum in which Charles Jannace was actually invited, Ron Alessi and Rick Pollitt thought it would be funny to shake up their water bottles and offer Charles a drink in the hopes he'd open it and it would splash all over him. Dee, Dee, Deeeee! (water)
As you can tell, Charles has been through this before and was looking on. Instead, Charles said, no thanks Fella's, you go ahead and drink it.
You take a guess at who was dumb enough to open their bottle first? LMAO!
