I Posted This As A Comment On Duvafiles

At the PACE Forum Ron Alessi kept stating that he was the man for the job because of his 30 years of business experience. OK Ron, I've been in business for myself for 25 years now and obviously I've been pretty darned successful. Certainly more successful than you, that's for sure.

Nevertheless, I have been going to City Council Meetings for a good 2 years now and I've never once seen you even visit a Council Meeting other than Zoo related pat me on the back issues. If You were to take this job seriously you'd at least visit the City & County Council Meetings and I've never seen you there.

I have more experience at 44 years old than you have and I'd never state I'm in a position where I'd like to be running the entire County! Ladies & Gentlemen, if you vote for Ron Alessi, I hope each and every one of you get exactly what's coming to you. If you're that stupid to hire someone with no experience and Judgments against them from a HUGE lawsuit, then you people are the biggest fools I have ever seen.

This is of course my opinion but come on now, how dumb can an entire County be? Go visit www.jannace.com and see what it truly takes to deliver what the Citizens truly need in Wicomico County.

***I'll add, there was not one Zoo Employee at PACE there to support Ron Alessi. There was no Friends of the Salisbury Zoo Members there. There were NO Boyscout Troops there either! Heck, we know there weren't any animals there because there's next to none left! He has lost ALL momentum and now that Charles Jannace is in the race, these guys are forced to actually talk about issues and as soon as Ron opened his mouth about immigration and told everyone in anger that these people make all their money here and send it back home to their country, Say Goodnight Gracie! You just proved who you are Ronnie and I can't thank you enough!

It's now a race between Rick Pollitt and Charles Jannace and the REPUBLICANS know it. ALL of you should be angry at the committee too. They gave you a guy that just couldn't win and they failed all of you. Charles Jannace is a Republican and your vote will still stay within the party but this time it will be for the right guy.

Break Time Billards

I want to thank all the people that once again came out to Break Time Billiards to visit and meet with Charles AND get their butts kicked by me on the pool table. LOL Remember Folks, Charles is the only candidate that is willing to meet one on one every Wednesday evening to discuss issues. He can't knock on everyone's door in the short period of time that is left but we sure do welcome you to come to the events we hold and not be afraid to ask him what concerns you most. He does have an answer, unlike others that read from a script. We're there every Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

As much as I'd like to show photos of some of the people that did in fact visit, if I did, some of them would lose their jobs.

That's right Folks, people are coming out of hiding and confronting Charles with real serious questions and walking away with signs in their hands.

I can't say who these people are but I can say that there are even people with Alessi signs in their yard that are NOT going to vote for Alessi.

Other powers to be in the community truly believe Charles Jannace is going to win this thing because he's the right man for the job. I believe that too and that's why I'm supporting him.

Don't forget Shumaker Park this Saturday from 12:00 to 5:00. Free soda and hot dogs and my guess is Pollitt will be there too? Wait till you see who will be there in support of Charles Jannace!!!!

I Have The Answers

It turns out everything you see here is perfectly legitimate. The proper permits have been filed and the young man you see on the scaffolding, (Dean) is the owner of this property.

He has had positive remarks and negative but he insists he's simply trying to make a living, (if he can) and he's investing his life savings into the Downtown area and he's like more support.

The structure you see is actually a master bedroom suite in the penthouse portion of this building. It will retail for around $450,000.00 in a very tough market. I will tell you after meeting this young man, he seems to be a really nice guy taking more risks, (without asking for help from the City) than anyone else around Town, so show him the respect he deserves. Besides, he also did everything on the up and up.

We have as many signs up on Riverside Drive the very first day as Ron Alessi has after three months or more. Do you think the Citizens have spoken?

Salisbury's Best Kept Secret

Ladies & Gentlemen,

As often as I go out to lunch each and every week to different places, this place, "Mainlake Cafe" just across the street from Brew River has got to be the finest place I've visited for lunch out of them all.

When we start walking towards the front door I thought, I don't know about this place? We walked in and we were greeted by the owner who was very kind and has a great personality and sense of humor. The food was very reasonable and the portions were out of this world! We've been there two days in a row now, it's that good.

This is owned by a single mother struggling locally to make a go of it and my suggestion to "ALL" of you is, give it a shot and I can assure you you'll not be disappointed. Far too often we see gems like this not surviving because we don't support our locally owned businesses and I'd hate to see this one fail because not enough people knew about it.

Let them know where you heard about it and they'll take care of you, you'll see.

MALL PETITIONERS SUBMIT PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT
SALISBURY – The four petitioners who successfully appealed the rezoning of the old Salisbury Mall have advanced a proposal to revise the developers’ plan for the blighted property to bring its redevelopment more into line with what is regarded as a “true urban village.”
Submitted September 18, 2006, to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the petitioners’ proposal bases changes on a plan for a Planned Residential Development (PRD) approved for the property in 1998 and advice from a third-party involved in land use outside of the area who is familiar with the property in question.
Among the proposal’s highlights are:
creating a “main street” of retail and commercial structures along St. Alban’s Drive;
increasing open space near the assisted living units where elderly residents may be inhibited from making the long, pedestrian-unprotected walk to the City Park;
reducing Beaglin Park Road access to ease traffic congestion and improve the look bordering that thoroughfare; and
reducing density by approximately 25% to create more walkability and more common open space with less impact to current infrastructure.
Recently, residents from other areas surrounding the old mall have expressed interest in having the petitioners’ proposal considered in preference to the developers’ current plan.
To date, the petitioners have not heard a response either way concerning their proposal.
“Our research led us to the previously approved plan of 1998,” said Linda Kent, who submitted the plan on behalf of the group. “It has real potential for moving the development in a direction that is more in keeping with the concept of urban villages and Traditional Neighborhood Design than what the developer has submitted,” Kent added.
“It’s a good start toward a healthy, collaborative discussion that can result in a model community and model process,” noted Terry Cohen, a city resident who was party to the rezoning appeal.

Looks like there's a serious problem at the Old Mall.

Delmar, The Town Too Big For One State Is About To Make Its Mark!

I have recently come to learn that Delmar, DE. is being approached by Blackwater Creek, Inc. proposing to build some 1,200 homes at Rt. 54 and Rt. 504.

Blackwater is asking for a zoning change on the property so they can build some 800 homes and 400 subdivision lots.

Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut about how wonderful Delmar, DE. is and how low our taxes are. Oh well, the demand is there and the property owners of Delmar understand the need for so many people desperately wanting to get out of Salisbury. Wait till they see how low the taxes will be on these new properties!

Next we'll be seeing new shopping centers going up on Rt. 13 on the Delmar side. Oh wait, they're already being built! I wonder what gave them that idea? Charles Jannace said it best, the North end of Salisbury is a disaster just waiting to happen and the simple idea of no taxes just 1/4 of a mile north would draw everyone over the line!

Things are about to start crumbling for Salisbury and if you think you're in financial difficulties now, wait till Delmar starts delivering these homes. There will be a waiting list a mile long!

Bill Duvall Makes Good On His Word

The infamous Bill Duvall assured Charles Jannace that he would in fact attend and boycott the PACE event and he did just that.

However, (IMO) he's like any other Senior Citizen that likes to visit Sam's Club around Noon every day, he was there for the free giveaways. ;-) LOL

Notice how Bill sports not one, but two free Charles Jannace Signs and he even had the nerve to ask for two free stands to go with them!

Maybe Ron Alessi can do something about these damn Senior Citizens because there are more of them then the Hispanics and they're always out for freebies! I say deport all of them and let Jim Rapp run the County. Heck, the population will drop in no time from disease and he and Alessi can take credit for it all. NOW THAT'S A PLAN!

The PACE Debate Turn Out Was A Joke

For all the hoopla the PACE organization received, the turn out was only 50% of the entire room. Now if you do like I do whenever I go to these events and you remove friends and family as well as the candidates, there's probably a 10% turn out of concerned citizens and last night was no different. Heck, even Pollitt walked in with his entire family taking up some 5 or 6 seats, (wife not in photo above).

There were a ton of Alessi/Chamber people all over the place like secret service agents, LOL. Other than that though, the Press coverage was healthy and no matter what anyone says, Alessi took the silver bullet last night by attacking the Hispanic population and he's now out of the race, pardon the pun.

Now it will be up to Charles Jannace and Rick Pollitt to fight it out and like we've said in the past to Ron Alessi, "Say Goodnight Gracie." Didn't this man write a Letter to the Editor telling everyone what kind of gentleman he is. He likes to resolve issues like a gentleman and not go on the attack. Well Ron, you may not speak very good Spanish but I can assure you each and every one of them are giving you the you're number one sign as this is a neutral sign of understanding in all Countries. I told you this guy was a control freak! Wait till ALL of you see the tape and just how pissed off this guy gets when he speaks about the minorities!!!!!!!! He starts slamming his hands on the table, yo see, you didn't want to listen to me and now you have to face who this guy really is. I've watched this control freak for years go off whenever the baby didn't get his way. Last night was perfect Ronald, thank you VERY much!

How Safe Are Our Schools?

This past week was quite eventful at Bennett High School but you never heard a word about the criminal activity from Channel 16, 47 or The Daily Times.

Last year Bennett High School had some $2,000.00 worth of crime happen the entire year. Get this! This year they have already surpassed the $2,000.00 mark and they're just getting started.

Someone has been going into Gym lockers and stealing money, cell phones and whatever they can get their grubby little hands on. Here we have Sheriffs in our Schools and crime is actually on the rise?

Oh, it gets even worse. Last week a student at Bennett High was arrested for having a loaded pistol in his locker. Did you hear about this "ANYWHERE" in the MSM, (Main Stream Media)? NO! Why is that? Is it because The Daily Times is covering up such said stories? I highly doubt that! We believe it is more the local politicians, (mainly the Mayor) doing everything she can to keep this out of the public eye.

The more serious crime that is reported the higher the ratings go up in Salisbury and it's only a matter of time before Chief Webster is thrown out into the streets because crime will have completely taken over the City. I am completely surprised that the Sheriffs Department hasn't made this information public and it seems the entire system is falling apart.

The Gang activity is out of hand, children are bringing guns to school and nothing is mentioned, children are stealing anything they can get their hand on and crime is up in the City and Wicomico County! It's time for a change and Charles Jannace is the man for the job Folks. Just read his platform ideas and you'll see the guy isn't messing around.
