If it looks like I'm ragging on Barrie Tilghman a lot here lately, you're right. My reasoning is simply that I am delivering pictures that proves time and time again this woman couldn't care less what "ANY" of you think and she'll obviously do whatever she can to bash you and take you down if you dare challenge her in any way.

Now I'll take you back to 2 years ago when Barrie Tilghman and Mike Dunn were on the war path against Debbie Campbell when her son was holding a garage sale in their front yard. Mike Dunn was actually taking pictures of it and the Mayor told her she was breaking the law! Yard sale for ONE DAY, or scaffolding for years at a time. Tell me, who's breaking the law here Folks?

More Manufactured News

Although I found all the propaganda in this article interesting and non trust worthy by anyone involved, how many of you actually think a SU Student went to the Daily Times and said they're worried about living off campus?

IMO, this is what I mean by The Daily Times manufacturing news. It's "my belief" that Laren Hughes, (a Staff Writer for the Daily Times) searched long and hard to find someone willing to say they knew enough cases from last year to admit they were scared. So scared in fact that the Daily Times encouraged allowing information to get out to the point that the Students should now buy guns and baseball bats to protect themselves. Yeah, crime is about to go down again, right?

On a more important line and or way of thinking, why the heck did the Daily Times write an article about the poor Students when it is the every day 24/7 residents paying huge taxes in the City that are actually the biggest victims of transient crime in the City? Maybe Officer Mark Tyler was making a bigger point that didn't get recognized by the Daily Times when he stated that crime against the Students is actually down? Could he have meant that crime is up against the residents and down against the Students? That would be my guess anyway. Crime would be down while Students were away for the summer anyway.

Then I noticed the barrage of signs in the City of Salisbury welcoming back all the Students. There are Student Discount Days around the City but what about all the residents that are here all year round supporting these businesses when there are no Students?

OK, so that's somewhat being picky but do think about this for a minute. Salisbury is not Ocean City. This City depends upon the residents picking up the tab for just about everything. The reality is, if it's property being bought out by the University, they're not being taxed on that property. So in reality, your taxes go up and up and up because there's less and less to tax and they have to get the money from someone! That someone is the homeowners/taxpayers of the City and again IMO you're getting screwed!

I'm not a writer by any means and I do bounce around whenever I put something together, so forgive me for that? However, my main goal here is to get the ideas out to all of you and the forum in which you can comment on each issue should help finesse and fine tune what's important here.

Georgetown Officer Turns Himself In

Hey, wait a minute here, stop the presses!

A Georgetown Police Officer who did a "Hit And Run" and "killed" a Veterinarian with three small children was released on his own recognizance Thursday night. He turned himself in 4 days after the hit and run and was released. What kind of Police Officer runs from the scene, claims he's innocent and gets released on his own recognizance?

However, Jim Rapp starts screaming and yelling at me from some 40 yards away, runs up to me yelling get out of the way and bumps into my camera because he didn't stop quick enough upon his aproach and states I assaulted him and I get a $50,000.00 BOND?

What the HELL is up with this legal system!

City of Salisbury Ethics Commission

Hidden deep in today's Daily Times is a tiny little meaningless article announcing the Ethics Commission has a tiny little immediate opening!

Yorkie Specialty Show In Reading, PA.

Jennifer arrived early Wednesday morning to Reading, PA. where the biggest Show of the year for Yorkies was being hosted.

After a successful showing in Easton last week she chose to bring Renoir, (Ren) to gain even more experience. To give you an idea how big this little Show is, there were 248 Yorkies in the main event Saturday.

Nonetheless, Wednesday Ren placed 3rd, which is respectable. Thursday he placed 2nd. Friday he placed 2nd once again but on the big day Saturday he took 1st Place in his Class, beating out the others that had beaten him all week!

In the mean time I sat around at home climbing ladders and rescuing cats. Yahoo! Where's MY ribbons?

Let's Get Ready To RRRRRRRRRumble!

In 31 hours Mr. Paul Wilber will be holding the speech of his life! It will be Wilber's turn to go up against this unruly crowd waiting with such anticipation as to how the City is going to break the law once again and "manufacture" a way out of this failed annexation, pipe dream. The Court of Public Opinion will replace a Judge this time around and the Public will decide just how crooked this City is after tomorrow night.

We don't own the land, it hasn't been annexed into the City but we're going to give you an ILLEGAL letter so you can ILLEGALLY file fraudulently to the Federal Government for tax breaks that aren't real. Why, because the Federal Government never figured anyone would cheat. They never figured anyone would break the law.

Notice right here on this Blog Site how representatives from the Senior Housing Developer attempted to defend themselves and when I blasted them right back with FACTS and TRUTH they immediately deleted their comment and went away! They're NOT going to do what's right. They're NOT going to commit to purchasing all 25 acres and to the honorable thing. Instead, they're going to purchase little by little and see what advantage they can take from the Government, Local or Federal.

I loved it when the guy representing the Developer said, Oh, I'm from Salisbury, I grew up here and I really care. BITE ME! You care about Salisbury like I care about what you have to say. You were defensive from day one when I asked a question and rather than answering it you said, "and where are you from?" What the hell difference does it matter where I'm from and who I'm with. I asked you a question and you either answer it, or you don't. So you know, I did immediately tell him I was from a Blog Site and he said, what's that? This kid was on the defense from the moment he walked in the door and he was so damn comfortable about his position based on his pre-approval from Barrie Tilghman and most of the Council that his arrogance shined right through his BS and he and I knew it.

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing Paul Wilber get through this one because there's gonna be another legal battle on their hands over this issue. Oh, guess what? He's loving every moment of it too. That's how he's making $250,000.00 a year off you taxpayers. As long as you're willing to fight every illegal activity, he'll fight you back, even if it means they lose, they don't care! He's making a ton of money off you people and the more the Mayor and Council attempt to break the law, the more money this man makes.

Waller Landing Development Meeting Today In Hebron

It was a packed house today at the Hebron Fire House where concerned citizens met with some of the Staff and Attorneys representing the Developer. The meeting was designed to get positive input from the locals as to what they'd like to see within this community.

At points during the meeting it got pretty heated up and there was only one politician present, Delegate Cane. 403 acres were annexed by the Town of Hebron some 2 years ago with the intent of having the property developed. However, as Mr. Cane explained, this property is NOT in the County's 5 Year Master Plan and should not go through.

Mr. Cane explained to me how Cambridge made multiple mistakes by not having a 5 year Master Plan in place and the State of Maryland will step in if necessary to insure everyone waits till the timing and planning is right.

There was talk about there being some 2,400 homes in this project and the Developer quoted they will not go anywhere near those figures. During the application process it asks what the maximum quantity of homes would be scheduled for this kind of property and 2,400 was the magic number. However, they claim"more than 1,000 but less than 2,000."

Waste Water was another major issue in which the Developer stated they would use the existing system but they would also be upgrading the current system at no expense to the current residents already living in Hebron. The entire project is contingent on the WWTP upgrade anyway.

There were some plans on apartments being built there but they now claim they are considering removing them from their overall project plans. It was also stated that the State Highway Administration will require them to put in a traffic light on Rt. 50 & Main Street.

One citizen yelled out, "We don't want parks!" Another citizen replied, "Speak for yourself buddy, my kids would love a park!" Then everyone wanted to know where the parks were going and they were referred to their website, www.wallerlanding.com .

Schools were a major issue here and the Developer stated they planned on donating a 6 to 8 acre parcel of property for a School and someone quickly educated them that 6 to 8 acres was nowhere near enough ground according to Maryland State standards for a School. The Developer then stated that there was a 25% Age Restricted Community Development so the impact wouldn't be so bad and it will take quite a bit of time to actually develop such a project. This didn't stop everyone from seeing through the smoke screen though. Someone has got to pay for a new School and property for such and the citizens want answers and IMO they're not getting them.

What I also felt was VERY important here was the fact that these Developers were already using the old Salisbury Mall as an example as to what they could and couldn't get away with. In other words they stated, we're not going to be anywhere near as dense as the old Salisbury Mall project is. Boy has Salisbury really screwed up the surrounding areas because this will forever be an example as to how everyone else will also get away with such huge density is areas it doesn't belong.

Another important question that was asked was, "Is there a community we can go see where the Town hires a "Professional Planner" (Redmond & Johnston) to see just how professional they are? The answer was, "NO."

As I left I spoke with a few citizens and they are outraged! The Schools are a huge issue here. Apparently there was a School built in Hebron only 5 years ago and they already have trailers there as they have completely outgrown that School already! This is going to be a mess Folks, Put your seat belts on because you're in for an unbelievable ride. Don't forget to thank Barrie Tilghman, Mike Dunn, Gary Comegys and Lynn Cathcart for making life so much better in Hebron's future too!

Delmar Qiets Things Down!

It was nice to see the peace and quiet this morning in Delmar. A man takes back seat to a woman driver riding horse and buggy and Johnson's Exhaust was closed for the weekend insuring no vehicles would be pulling out with a loud exhaust.

I know I'm one of their biggest customers and I was very pleased not to see an exhaust system was not a part of their new ruling? You see Folks, you can't be heard within 10 feet making any noise and I firmly believe there was a rumor that Barrie Tilghman, Mike Dunn and Jim Rapp were thinking of relocating to Delmar and they wanted to make damn sure this wouldn't happen. With their big mouths they'd be sure to be arrested and fined daily, so I'm all for the new law.

By the way, as much as I bragged about my taxes on 7.5 acres being only $1,205.00 last year, they dropped to $1,200.00 this year! What happpened to all of you this year in the City of Salisbury? I know in 2007 it's going to go through the roof with a Barrie Tilghman, Mike Dunn & Gary Comegys Tax Increase.

Tickled Pink!

I have been asked for almost a year now to go out and capture this photo of this house on Isabella Street. Apparently this is yet another FOB whereas they have had this man made scaffolding just sitting there for years now and the City refuses to act upon demanding it be removed.

The Daily Times refuses to do any story about it, protecting the Mayor once again while everyone knows if this was going on over on the West side, the City of Salisbury would own this property by now based on violations.

The biggest violation on this particular property is not the scaffolding, it's the tickled pink colors displayed with such gay pride. Two Snaps Up! It's no wonder Michael Day hasn't complained! Will the neighbors follow suit? Will Salisbury have its own Key West section? They already have a Key Club, why not Key West!

All kidding aside, Barrie, it's been posted for everyone to see. NOW DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! I'm tired of getting e-mail messages about this property, GET THE HINT!

China Town Buffet Update

Last Wednesday evening several of us got together and were discussing the China Town Buffet Post on my Blog Site. Our waitress had overheard the conversation and said, not that all you can eat place over by Giant? I replied, yeah, that's the one.

She said, whatever you do, DO NOT pay them by Credit Card? Of course we all said, why? She said she had been there two different times and she paid via Credit Card both times and put the tip on the Card as well. She then added, BOTH times she was charged twice for each visit!

You see Folks, this is what these Blog Sites are all about. Although stories like this wouldn't be produced by the Daily Times, they are important stories in the sense that maybe this has happened to other people we all know?

I looked at our waitress, who was serving us food and drinks for several hours each time we go there, cleaning up our dishes, refilling our drinks, never allowing them to go empty and could speak english and she gets tipped some 25% or more. She also shared some valuable information for everyone to know about so they can better choose where they might use their Credit Card in the future.

I'd love to know if this has happened to any of you as well? She told us she immediately called the Credit Card Company and sent them copies of her receipts and they removed it from her Card right away. I heard this happens regularly in Ocean City and a quality restaurant will only allow one person to process Credit Cards to keep these transient workers from billing people twice.

Kitten, Tree, Chain Saw Or Ladder?

While sitting on the front porch enjoying a nice smooth JR Cigar earlier this evening I heard a quiet meow in the front yard.

I looked out and saw one of our kittens lying there under a tree looking up in the air. Notice the first picture in this group where the black kitten is on the ground under the tree.

Then look up in that same picture to the upper left hand corner where his sister had climbed the tree for the very first time and said to herself, self, how do I get down from here? Meow?

That's where the meow was coming from, up above. I thought, should I get a ladder or simply cut the tree down? The ladder was all the way in the barn whereas the chain saw was only in the garage. Hmmmmmm?

Then I thought, well, Jennifer would make me get the ladder, (damn women) so away I went. The problem here was, not only did I have to get the ladder and save this poor animal, I had to bring it all the way back to the barn after all was said and done, so this was quite a sacrifice! I mean, after all, couldn't I just call 911?

Fortunately my JR Cigar survived and I was eventually able to get back to relaxing and watching the horses munch on their hay. Oh, that's right, there was a cat in this whole story too. She's fine and I knew this as she refused to leave my side and sat in my lap purring away like the happy camper she always is.

Raw Sewage Leak Update

I have been in contact with Mr. John Pick today. The original release of information stating that the pipe burst at 1:00 AM was false. I am told by Mr. Pick that the pipe burst at 9:30 AM and he is very confident about that.

Now I do have a friend that was traveling that route earlier than that in the morning and the roads were already closed off, (before 9:30 AM) and Mr. Pick believes they were closed off due to some of the work they were doing.

I am awaiting an answer as to how many, (if any) people went to the Hospital over this incident. We have learned directly from the Contractor that a few people were drenched in human feces when it burst and there's been no confirmation that HAZMAT was called in. I'm not sure if that's something that would be required with a spill like this but from what we've come to learn the City simply took it upon themselves to simply clean it up the way they felt necessary.

I'd sure like to know what would have happened if a privately owned company had this happen to them and what would be required? Does anyone out there have that expertise and knowledge in that department?

Here's the kicker of the entire thing though. I have been involved in projects and I have several friends that have done projects whereas they have been required to do what is called "Storm Water Management." In each one that I am aware of it has cost around $300,000.00 just to get through that process before you start your build out. One of these friends has a Self Storage Unit Company where he had to spend that much and he has no bathrooms, nothing! The land was already sitting there doing nothing and just because he decided to put up the storage units he had to spend that kind of money bringing it up to code.

Now while you're asking yourself why, wait till you hear what the City's Storm Water Management consists of! Before I expose that however I'd like to ask why everyone else just can't tap into their system rather than go through the $300,000.00 trouble to do it properly?

Nonetheless, to answer the earlier statement/question, the City has sewer lines/drains in the roads. These drains flow directly into the Wicomico River! That's right Folks, they don't take care of jack! They flow everything right into the river and that how the supposed 43,000 gallons of raw sewage made its way into the Wicomico River! Now we have to live up to far better standards as individuals but the City doesn't have to live up to those standards and in fact they are the biggest polluters of the Wicomico River, more so than anyone else.

So what do they do? They create numbers like this so called 43,000 gallons of raw sewage and we're supposed to believe them and trust them? Follow Hadley and Duvall site lately and you'll clearly see that there's no trusting this Mayor, John Jacobs and most of the City Council.

Nevertheless, I firmly believe the City must upgrade their own storm water management rules on their own properties and or simply allow others to tap into their lines in the roadways. This could save developers million upon millions of dollars. I'm not suggesting that it's the right thing to do but I am saying why does the City constantly get away with the do as I say not as I do attitude?

43,000 Gallons Of Sewage Just Doesn't Flow!

No matter what they say, (Mayor and John Jacobs) I'll never buy the fact that only 43,000 gallons of raw sewage leaked into the roads, bypassed "ALL" sewage drains in that road, hopped the curbs and then ran another 400 to 500 yards or more across land and then over to the river!

As these pictures will clearly show you, the Mayors "theory" is not at all accurate. The Daily Times never questioned it and actually pampered this story in my opinion. This is a very serious matter and this could have and should have been avoided.

At 9:00 PM a worker noticed this coupling leaking and knew there was a problem. At 1:00 AM the coupling burst and things get blurry from there. They claim it was contained within 15 minutes but you know me folks, I buy that like I believe Jim Rapp is now using foot baths at the Zoo.

Most pools in the area are some 30,000 gallons +. If your pool burst, would it fill up the entire road, offer so much pressure that it would bypass the sewer drains in the roads and pop over top the curbs and then run some 500 yards across land and into the river? NOT! Sometimes it's better to create the picture in a whole new light so every day citizens can see just why this is such a bunch of BS.

They didn't contain this in 15 minutes! Since it made it to the river and leaked some 43,000 gallons into the river, this was far more serious than they want you to know and the MDE better use their heads and do something about these liars. No matter what, now you have a better idea as to what really happened and this Blog Site isn't buying one ounce of what they claim.

Coming To Every School Near You!

I received word yesterday the the Sheriffs Department has now hired a Police Officer for Bennett High, Wicomico High, Parkside High, Mardela High, Bennett Middle, Wicomico Middle, Salisbury Middle and Alternative School.

That equals 8 schools with deputies. The 9th deputy will be a Sergeant that will supervise/fill in when absent. The Board of Ed will be paying all expenses (salary, benefits, etc.) for the school year and the county will pay the expenses during the summer when school's out.

The games are over and Wicomico County is taking the multiple threats of bombs and other illegal activity very seriously and will do what it takes to make our children safe.

As wonderful as an education can be, some students don't take it as serious as others and can disturb an entire School and it's about time these bullies were stopped. Just more proof that the Sheriffs Department needs to be recognized and thanked. Have you waved to an Officer today? I did.

UPDATE: We have had deputies in the schools for some time now, but would constantly have to take them out depending on court security issues, road patrol shift shortages, vacation, transports, etc. We started out with 6 last year and it would sometimes dwindle down to three. In order for the board of ed to be guaranteed a permanent deputy in the school, we entered into a "contract" where they have agreed to pay the expenses I mentioned before and the county would cover the expenses in the summer The grant for the Wicomico Middle school deputy has been in place for a period of time. 43,000 Gallons Of Sewage Leaks Into The Wicomico River This Morning

Barrie Tilghman claimed that a coupling broke at 1:00 am this morning allowing 43,000 gallons of sewage to leak out into the street and ultimately into the river.

Now I don't know about you folks but I used to have a pool in my back yard in Davidsonville, MD. that was 84,000 gallons of water so I personally find their volume "highly suspicious!" It's my understanding they closed off roads and one road was actually flooded by the volume of water/sewage. My guess would be a much higher volume of water actually spilled but you know how it works, they pay fines based on the gallons that were spilled and usually the MDE buys their BS.

Maybe this time Dave Pushkar will open his eyes and see a bit more clearly as to how much sewage actually spilled and not trust the figures offered by John Jacobs? Mr. Pushkar has confirmed with me directly that this was in fact reported to his office earlier today.

Oh, make sure you don't drink any water out of the Wicomico River for a little while and there'll be no fishing or swimming there till September 7th as well. Water-skiing and other activities down river seem to be ok because the spill will only be located in one small area that John Jacobs wants quarantined. I wonder where the fish and wildlife will be housed in the mean time?
