F a BLK street, a waste of money and its a damn shame in 2020 you have to put it on a st sign to advertise it. Nothing more but throwing crumbs to appease and a piss poor way to appease me Show me our lives matter by applying local laws which protect me from being pulled over for driving while black in my nice car I pay for honestly or common sense laws. They don't give a sh#t about any of us, all they care about is the votes, and keeping their paychecks. Remember this when they come up for election and when Jake Day runs for a higher position to increase his paycheck and give him more advancement chances, and vote for anybody that is running against them. Nobody can be any worse. They want to advance themselves while leaving us all behind. Always remember, we matter. nothing will change until we change how we vote.
The focus is on Black lives because as centuries and present day has showed, apparently black lives Don t matter who else was enslaved for centuries tortured raped, being lynched, discriminated against American born. You damn near erased the Indians to forget that part of history. Healing and resolve will never begin untill you own it and create equality law and opportunity wise

I am black and live in a predominately black area. I don’t care for this name anywhere because they are a bunch of bad blacks doing bad things. The way I see it, it looks bad on me and my family. We are peaceful law abiding citizens of Salisbury. We are not violent like this group.

I am white and totally agree with you. It is the Democrats pandering to the black community! All they want is the same courtesy and respect anyone else is given. Race relations were on a better footing when I was in high school in the late '70's then now. We all got along just fine in and out of school!!

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. First off blacks weren't the only race lynched. Whites were as well FACT! Many Many of them. Know you history!
Secondly whites were slave also. FACT and another history lesson for you. It was North African pirates who were in the slave trade. As well as other Africans to sell into slavery they ALSO abducted over a million WHITE Europeans to sell into slavery. Most were sold in the Middle East. These are at least 2 of the uncomfortable conversations most blacks and a lot of whites do not want to have. The fact is everyone at some point had slavery going on Blacks DO NOT own that and is it not only dishonest for them to continue on about being slaves it's ignorant and shows they don't know history. Carrying on about something other races went though as if they are the only ones shows such dishonesty that it's disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves for if nothing else it shows their stupidity.

Has anyone realized that Jake Day appointing Julia Glanz as "Acting Mayor" for almost a year is possibly illegal and the city council isn't doing anything about it?? Does anyone realize that Julia Glanz is NOT an elected member of the City's leadership??

I am offended by this. And I believe that most all Caucasians in Salisbury are offended also. So what are the percentage of Caucasians in Salisbury. Probably the majority of Salisbury. So what happened to the majority rules. Besides that if you follow the money. All of the money donated to BLM goes directly to the Democrats. This is from the BLM own website. This is a violent hate group totally backed by the Democrats destoy America as we know it.
Whats going on is the white woke social justice warriors like Day, Glanz, Yamakawa etc fancy themselves gate keepers. They have tasked themselves with making sure blacks stay in line and dont deviate from their agenda. All of them are come heres including Day who may have been born here (I dont know if he was or wasnt) but his informative years were spent away from here so he is a come here and there no ifs ands or buts about that.
They all have decided black decisions are up to them and them alone. This is why no opinions from the black community on the street. They think THEY know what is best for blacks and the black community. And in their minds blacks better sit down and shut up.

Someone needs to made noise about Day appoint an unelected official as the acting mayor. The city charter says the mayor shall be elected. That means the council president takes over and not an unelected brown noser like dopey Glanz. I am sure it was just a mistake on their parts since both Day and Glanz are ignoramuses with a combined IQ somewhere in the imbecile range.

Used to be a nice city to you, now it’s becoming a nice city for the people with enough decency to not judge by someone’s skin tone. As a white/Hispanic male growing up in the area I’ve heard enough of the comments white people say after looking over their shoulder to make sure their racism is still guised. If you can’t see the result of racism in the fact that these neighborhoods are impoverished then YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. It not hard to connect the dots, none of y’all want to because you want to paint the black man out to be the bad guy and I’m sick of it.
You can thank OBAMA for all this racial strife. Look back to before he was president....we did not have these racial tensions to the extent they are now. He was so racists and so was Moooschelle, that it stirred things up between the races and that is when all of this mess began. Trump has done more for blacks and racial equality but so much damage was done by OBAMA that it was beyond repair and will take a long time to get our country back to the before OBAMA era when there was peace between the races.
