Eight people have died from suspected drug overdoses in a four-day span, prompting Delaware officials to once again warn and caution those actively struggling with addiction.
The deaths, which began Friday, doubled the number of people who have died so far this month, bringing the total to 16 fatalities in August. So far this year, 167 people have died from suspected drug overdoses.
"These deaths have happened in all three counties, to men and women, and to people in their 20s to those in their 50s," said Dr. Kara Odom Walker, secretary of the state Department of Health and Social Services. "This horrific toll shows that no one in active use is immune from the risk of death in our state."

It just takes that one mistake and you're gone before you know it, going for the eternal nod.
The herd will continue to thin itself.
I read earlier today that over 70 people od'ed on synthetic marijuana in a park in New Haven, CT. called the Green. No one died but two had life-threatening symptoms.
