20 mph cop vs 70 mph civilian. So much for the support for the previous cop-hater commenters that wanted us to think that the officer was "flying" down Camden Avenue.
He was. I don't believe any investigation done by the sheriff's office. Jave you ever seen a cop responding under the speed limit? Really? And I want no part of it. If the cops did their jobs then they would know there are private security tapes. Moms neighbor has one that caught it. But the residents don't want to be involved.
It says AT THE TIME OF THE COLLISION, so the officer might very well have been travelling faster prior to that, but speed was 20 mph or less at the time of the collision, probably because he was braking, while the bad guys wasn't. Jeeeez
No way he was rolling 20. The officer was pushed back into the pole and spun into it again putting the pole a foot or better into the compartment of the engine. I'm all for the perp at high speeds. Let's just have a bit of honesty here about the police officers actions. Want respect Leos? Quit lying about the small shit. Wonder how this officers driving record looks. Not the personal one. The one the Dept. Keeps. Hell, one sheriff's deputy has wrecked 3 times. All their fault.
I think it is a sin and a shame that a family member has to start a "Go Fund Me" page to cover this mans hospital costs. Anyone that is in service to the local community should be supported 100% by the agency that employees him. Sh*t happens folks.... help this man and his family!!!
What? Don't they have collective bargaining? I believe they do. Not sure. If so.... Be gets 100% pay and all medical paid. Or maybe this is the we're aren't covering you cause secretly your wrong. Keep your job and be quiet or we pay for you and fire and charge you!
Lits of expenses are not covered by insurance. Family needs a place to stay, travel money. I am surprised that the famiky of Rayne hasn't set up a gofundme since they are telling everyone that HE is the victim.
Obviously, if the alleged domestic abuser lives in that neighborhood...he doesn't have 2 cents to rub together but if he did ...his property should be auctioned to pay for the family of the man he has injured while fleeing.
I'm tracking what you are saying, but think about it. If he was travelling faster than 20 mph, wouldn't his forward momentum have been greater, therefore less likely he would have been pushed back in the manner described?
It was said he was assisting. Other cars would have the place marked. I don't know if that's just blabber or fact. I do know that his GPS would tell him more precisely than our basic tom toms. That's why cops can fly down roads and stop real hard in arrival.
Expenses? He still has his salary paid in full. This cops salary don't allow for any extra money? He has no savings? No medical bills. And isn't the FOP there to help with that? Or how about asking his fellow cop buddies? Or the Dept? Some brotherhood!

I wonder why they don't want to be involved. Do they feel retaliation for the police or criminals?
I think I agree with you. Why would an officer be going under the speed limit if he was suppose to be going on a call to assist other officers.

One look at Raynes driving record will explain a lot.

It makes sense that the officer was not going fast. He was looking for a specific addtess and a speeding criminal.

5:27. He is a felon who has a minimum wage job His family always has an excuse for him. Been in the system since he was 12. And they will LIE for him

Why should the officer have to use his own savings? Michael Rayne should be paying
