Former Republican Rep. Allen West two days ago called for President Obama’s impeachment over his decision to swap five known terror leaders for a soldier whose behavior is under investigation, arguing Obama apparently violated U.S. law forbidding material aid to terror groups.
Nevertheless, Obama defended his decision Thursday, saying he offered no apologies for releasing five Guantanamo detainees – who had been determined to be too dangerous to be freed – in exchange for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who has been accused of desertion.
West, in a promotion for his political action committee, took aim at Obama’s unapologetic stance.
“Obama and his aides have lost their minds,” he said in an email for the Allen West Guardian Fund.
West’s outrage reverberated throughout his comments.

I smell a fish. If this guy is so patriotic, honorable, and sincere, why hasn't he communicated with his parents? He sits in a hospital in Germany and they haven't found a way for a conversation with his parents. Also, isn't it odd that Obama hasn't stage a photo op in the Rose Garden? Where even are the Press interviews?
I heard he hasn't asked to speak with his parents. While I know he was a deserter I do feel a bit sorry for him. His father is a big time whacko so he may very well himself have inherited that gene.
He is the healthiest POW I've ever seen and I've seen more than my fair share. Truth be told he deserted to join the Taliban. He should be shot for desertion.
Bergdahl's actions were not those of a sane person. Spending time as a hostage though, slapped some common sense into this dreamer, and gave him the impetus to make escape attempts.
My heart does go out to the parents. They are nice people who themselves are out of touch with reality. They are California expat ski bums, who decided to move to Idaho, adopt Calvinism and live off the grid.
