I have noticed lately the price on the shelf is NOT the one in the register so I dont know if I was charged correctly to start with. Now I do pay attention when the clek gives back the change. I always coound back the change I am given. 9 times out of 10 I am given too much money back. I then look at the clerk give them back the change (bills). I remind them they are probally going to make up the diference at the end of the shift. Learn to count back the change. It only takes a couple of seconds to do it right.
At Easter, I went to Super Fresh to buy a ham. They only had 3 out. I saw that one was priced for about $4.00 and the rest were @ about $12.00. I asked a clerk to come and look. I said is there something wrong with this ham. She looked and said no. Then I pointed out to her,why is this one SO MUCH cheaper. Upon looking more closely, it had been marked as some type of cheap pork chop or something. Anyway, I said, so if I take this up to the check out they have to honor that price. She said yes. I could not do that as I felt it was unfair. She took it in the back and repriced it and i bought it.When I got home, I thought now why did I do that? Answer, because I am either a fool or an honest person!!! End of true story.
Yep. I was at Sam's Club and the cashier rang up my box of diapers for .01. She didn't even notice as she put it in the cart. I told her that while I'd love to save $37, I was pretty sure she'd made a mistake.

Actually, the last time I was undercharged, I told the cashier and she said, "Our mistake. You can have it at that price". I love that! Lol! And, yes, if an item is was mistakenly not rung up, I will return and pay for it. :)

ive gone back to mcdonalds because they gave me one too many mcnuggets. i always try to keep it fair, because id go back if i was missing one.

Nope, funny I recently checked a receipt from Walmart and noticed I was overcharged for two items. Not enough to make me drive back since the gas itself would have costs that. So if I am undercharged their fault. Over charged - my fault for not checking before I left.

recently at VoTech I was way undercharged. I purchased a flat of geraniums and they rung up 1 geranium. No way could I cheat them out of that money so I told the guy I had a 1 flat (12) not 1 plant. He was grateful and I was content to pay the price.

usually home before i notice overcharge or undercharge. and not driving back for a buck or 2.
if in the store, alot depends on the clerks attitude. or the way the store is run.
What's bad is when the clerk tell you that it is not a mistake & wants to argue with you. I had that happen with change @ K-Mart. Got too much change & the cashier refused to admit she may have miscounted. Service desk told me if she came up short they'd call me. Never heard a word but I was $10.00 richer.
Cashiers counting or manual entry mistake, yep, I'll give it back. If they don't see what's on the bottom of the cart, yep, i'll go back in and pay for it. If it is a computer error as to the barcoding, nope! That's not my fault. Items are put on and off of sale without price changes on the shelves, it's not up to me to keep their computers current. Of course if I'm over-charged, that's a different story.
All the good honest people are gone except for you? Oh come on! I'm 27 years old and would go back and tell them, and have. Give our generation a little bit of credit, please.
If I get an extra nugget or two or an extra fry I don't go back for two reasons. One... I can't tell you how many times I don't go back when I'm shorted something, because of the hassle. Two... They can't resell it once it's been given to you, they will throw it out. You should keep it, now if its money.. it needs to be fair and handled honestly.
Sam's hires idiots , they are everywhere. Most of these so called cashiers don't give a crap.
I was in Sam's and purchased a large gocart that normally sells for $1800.00. The price on it was $495.00. Those idiots marked it wrong , or did they? Maybe their friends were to come in and purchase them. Anyway it was discovered , I told one of the managers something was wrong with the price and they gave my money back.
Not doing the right thing here is committing a crime. It's theft.

How about the other way around? When a retail establishment charges me too much and catches it do they refund my money?
It's called Karma and she can be real mean..So, in order to keep on her good side I always go back. In fact recently I was not charged for one of the 3 cards I bought. I made it to Delmar to pick up my son and realized I hadn't been charged. So, he and I went back to Salisbury and paid for the 3rd card. There was another time I forgot that I had a box of Borox under my cart and walked out of the store without paying for it. I looked down and realized it and went back in to pay for it. Each time these incidents happened I tested my 2 children (15 & 9) and ask them what I should do. They have grown up watching my actions, they both separately said the same thing...Go back and pay mom!!
