It has been reported that the National Guard building on Rt. 50 will be undergoing renovations in the near future and they are trying to set up shop at the old Fire Station 16 in Downtown Salisbury.
It will be nice to see someone making use of the old building as it has flooded out several times since they abandoned it about two years ago. I wonder if the City will charge them rent for using the building? They should. Just because they own it doesn't mean they should give it away.

well. that will certainly draw people to the downtown.
but at least it may improve safety?
Saw on the news tonight that the City Council, on Monday, is going to discuss selling the building.
My grandmother, a life-long resident, told me that the old Armory use to be where the fire station is currently located. I just have her word and she did like her wine, but perhaps someone could confirm or deny that.
In this economy should we be refurbishing anything?
I think the old armory was across the street from the firehouse, next to where the library is now.
