Polk is up by ONE vote, 10 ballots left to count and that will be done Monday of next week. Cynthia Polk is ahead Folks! Military ballots could be in late but they'll give them till the 17th of this month and then it's over. It goes to prove that EVERY single vote counts. It sure makes you wonder when people send out those smear letters and if anyone happened to believe them, just how close these things can get.

I think those letters actually motivated people to not miss the chance to vote for Jim. People may have thought he had it all locked up, so why bother. After they read those nasty letters they made sure they voted.
Think any of those smear letters got forwarded to military addresses? Hope so!
Wow! If Polk pulls this off, this will be a masive upset. Go Cynthia! I had the pleasure of meeting her through this campaign and she is a very nice woman. Her heart is in the right place!
Why in the heck is it going to take until Monday to count 10 votes? Don't people in Salisbury have 10 fingers? or is it that you can only count 2-3 votes per day? (roughly 1 vote every 3 hours)
What happens if there is a tie? A runoff election??
You need to leave a certain # of ballots uncounted in case overseas ballots come in, otherwise if you count all of these, then an overseas ballot comes in and the vote toals change, we would all know how that person voted. It is to protect anonymity. I realize it is frustrating, but it makes sense.
I can see that those smear letters were a waste of time. God does not like ugly.
Funny thing, I woke my son up to come vote for me, we are Jim Ireton supporters, any how, he was not feeling well and stated," Mom you go, Jim will not need my vote to win, he already won". TRUE STATMENT.
