SALISBURY POLICE HARASSING LOCAL RAPPERS AT VIDEO ON WEST MAIN STREET

The one cop sounded like he knew all of their names. The other cop just lost it when they were video taping him and asked for the guy's ID after he called him by name? Rookie mistake, he was wrong, that's the Gestapo for you.

I didn't see where they were doing anything wrong, it's not law that you respect police officers or be polite. They wonder why they aren't respected, is because they swag.

Get your fat butt back on that bike and ride off into the sunset.

I'm white and I hate rap, but I support their right to rap if they want!

Salisbury's finest, employed citizens! Not...

Didn't see a whole lot of harrassing going on there except on the part of the "local rappers". Carrying out the logic that police shouldn't at least wonder why a bunch of kids are hanging out on the corner, it would make it "OK" for groups of people to just LOITER everywhere. The cops seemed to be just trying to make conversation, more or less. Apathetic police ignoring people hanging out would make it easy for people, other than the local rappers, to hang out as well, people that would take advantage of the opportunity to do something besides a little innocent rapping. Good job SBY PD!

Cops were being pretty nice. Good ploice work, let them know you're watching them.

I know the young man that runs this. He is a good kid and just trying to make a life for himself and be sucessful. I am white and was one of his teachers. Just putting this out there before all the racist comments come in.

This is the Best Reason to Leave Salisbury! The inmates are ruling the Pen.

I did not see any rapping going on there. All I saw was them blocking traffic.

4:38 Man, you're just not down with the #swag and #yolo movement. Ya feels me?

Perfect TASER moment.

The rap and hip hop industries have ruined many lives.

What harassment? Yes!
Share and expose the idiot boyz being idiot boyz and the cops being cops doing their job. Oh yeah, working for a living.
At least the cops are EARNING money and PAYING TAXES and not being lazy degenerates like the BOYZ on welfare. hanging out on the streets.
To 4:12, now we know why the kid is doing what he's doing spreading hate, divisiveness and glorifying thug culture... There just had to be a white do gooder LIBERAL POS teacher involved! LOL

They were in their own hood right near VFW and the store. You'd think they were hanging out in front of a school. I didn't even see any alcohol.

If someone had called and reported something going on that's one thing but doesn't sound like the case here. The cops just decided they were up to no good.

That's not far from NY's stop and frisk policy. You really support stop and frisk? lol Until it happens to you!

it's the cops job to know the names of the people they deal with on the street. it helps later when they need to solve crimes. and hell yes, stop and frisk, and if they do stop me, they aren't going to find any illegal weapons so have at it.

You want a grown man feeling you down, you definitely been living in the Bury too long

Right over by the dope spot, and the cop knew him by name. I smell rats(no homie, you ain't popular so strangers don't know your name).

Anonymous said...

What a complete bunch of trash scum these cops have to deal with.
Too bad this country must tolerate garbage like this.

Thugs harassing cops. sad.

How sad people that you don't understand the bill of rights. Was he suspected of committing a crime by standing on a public street? Let me see your papers. Welcome to the United Socialist States of America

Don't like rap, and much of what I've seen or heard of it seems negative.

However, a lot of the doo-wop and oldies I still enjoy came from groups of kids hanging out and harmonizing.

Just sayin'

I won't watch this since it's hardly newsworthy. Maybe police need to be where the real action is...on the streets of our used to be fair city.
Besides, I hate rap, foul language, violence, lewd..argh!

how dare those mean old cops be busting on them choir boys! personally I don't like the cops since they never seem to deal with this type of scum. cudos to these two cops for at least having the balls to confront this scum! makes smallsbury such a wonderful place to live don't it?

Harassment? Hardly. It's crying foul when legitimacy does not exist that diminishes in the public's eye, real incidences of harassment. There are real issues within the local African American community, that are in serious need of addressing and police harassment isn't one of them.

It must have been Sunday afternoon as surely these fine young men are gainfully employed in their 9 to 5 white collar jobs. They were probably on that street corner to chase away drug dealers and to keep their families safe. Commendable behavior if you ask me.

It's kind of funny to see what these 'local rappers' perceive as police harassment. It's apparent that the definition of the phrase is completely lost to them.

What harassment are you talking about???? What I see are thugs and police keeping them in check. Maybe they work the night shift somewhere, right....

What law did you break to hate cops so much? You must have really F****d up and didn't get a break. Loitering in the streets is a crime. Littering is a crime. Refusing to work should be a crime. These cops were doing their jobs. The harassment was the Obama voters videotaping the cops and running their mouths.

7:43 one does not have to look far to find a reason to hate the cops, the daily news accounts are filled with the antics of numerous badged sworn in professionals that are mental morons who have gone way over the line in the performance of their duties! That being said, at least these two cops weren't out generating revenue for the city by ticketing working moms and dads, and actually attempting to put on notice some of the ghetto trash that hangs out in this area! but we all know that trash are in all actuality honor students at wihi right? 22 year old 10th graders!

You guys complain about the crime in Salisbury, but when cops are out doing their jobs and checking on things, you complain. What do you want? I GUARANTEE you that most, if not ALL, of these fine upstanding citizens have had charges.

Anonymous said...

I also bet that if you were to overlay a map with a red dot where the crimes are being committed around here, you wouldn't even be able to see this section of town. It would be one big red blob. But you all are right.....the cops shouldn't be around this area keeping an eye on things. The criminals have more rights than the good guys. That is the problem. My though process is, if it looks like crap, smells like crap, talks like crap....it is probably crap...so let's make sure that there isn't any crap going on.

Excellent work officers, you prevented yourselves from being baited into their thug antics. Bike patrol on a city street in a high crime area is hardly harassment. And people wonder why police hate the public, look how they are treated day in day out.
