MY IMPRESSION OF JULIE BREWINGTON FIVE YEARS AGO

BREAKING NEWS: Fire in the City, where are the Volunteers???

There is a fire in the city off of Delaware avenue, with reported entrapment. Station 2 volunteers realerted twice so far and have had no response in over 8 minutes. No responding volunteer unit from station 16 either. This is a reported entrapment. Where are the 160 volunteers that Rick Hoppes and Jake Day claim to have. The 160 volunteers that Tri Townsend claims there is. If they do not use station 13 when they go live, it will be tort and negligence. Did not hear Bryan Records assign anyone to search when he arrived and took command. Instead he put the crew from the ambulance out of service on scene and had them gear up to help the engine with suppression. Guess because no volunteers came to help from the City.

Fire out of the eaves and he has central alert station 74 because the volunteers from 2 scratched. You need more help there boss.

BREAKING NEWS: ARMED ROBBERY IN SALISBURY

What makes this extremely disturbing is the fact that these criminals who have attempted to rob an armored truck on Mt. Hermon Road, Rt. 50 and Beaglin Park Drive knew they'd have to be prepared for a gun fight. Because everyone knows the people in these vehicles carry weapons.

More to come.

SPD Bank Robbery Press Release 1-22-18

While We Didn't Cure The World's Problems Last Night, A Few Drinks Cured The Stress.

As many of you know, I've been holding bonfires on weekends for the past several years. I'm a firm believer in networking and I have to say, the results are always amazing.

So last night we discussed many topics with some great minds. I was able to share, (and even show) the massive difficulties I'm having with Blogger/Google. What you don't know is for the past 5 weeks it takes me at least four times longer to put up posts. Imagine trying to send an e-mail to someone, you hit send and you get a fatal error. You try to send it again and you get the same error. Let's say this happens four times and you open a new screen to look at your send folder because you don't want to lose all the information you just put in that e-mail and you find that it had in fact sent. Sometimes it goes through in three attempts instead of four. I think you get my drift.

Now let's say you have to do this 50 to 70 times a day. It's very time consuming and frustrating. You might ask, why do you put up with it. Well, I have a pretty good idea as to why it is happening and I refuse to let them win. I provide a service, (we all discussed last night) that no one else provides. We deliver news and information that challenges local government and businesses without fear of retaliation. We allow you to share your thoughts anonymously without the fear of retaliation. You can't do that anywhere else.

Love us or hate us, we make an incredible difference. Facebook has admitted they're slowing down conservative discussions and guess what, Google/Blogger is clearly doing the very same thing. It's becoming so frustrating that even major Websites like Right Wing News is considering shutting down. Other major Websites are considering the very same thing.

So everyone asked, why are you still publishing when it takes so long and so frustrating. I replied, they're NOT going to beat me, period. This is exactly what the Liberals want. Their retaliation is to slow us down in the hope we'll just go away. For now, I'm just too hard headed. I've looked at chat rooms and even complaints on Blogger and guess what, this problem is only happening to conservative minded sites, GO FIGURE! I should add, if you think it's frustrating trying to get a comment through, imagine how difficult it is for me to put up each and every post.

I believe our President needs all the SBYNews Sites he can get out there. I believe YOU deserve to know when your Mayor is lying to you and talking out of both sides of his/her mouth. Look at what WBOC has been showing, (all positive) about the new bear at the Zoo. Never, will they show/discuss the conditions of the exhibits or the massive volume of animals dying at the Zoo. Am I really the Anti Christ for exposing these conditions while the taxpayers went from $200,000.00 a year budget wise to over $2,000,000.00 a year and the place looks like crap? Then your Mayor goes on camera and says he's going to fine you at 3 PM and guess what, one of my guests last night is a multiple property owner in Salisbury and they in fact did get a call from the City saying if their sidewalks weren't cleared by 3 PM they will be fined $100.00 for each property. Then the Mayor, (as we proved) went on line and said he didn't say he was going to fine anyone.

So I feel what I deliver seven days a week is very important. I simply hold everyone accountable so YOU can make sound decisions as to who or what you will or won't support.

Let me touch on comments for a moment. Unlike Colleges, (as we've now seen the past few days) I do not always agree with comments that I publish. I firmly believe in healthy debate and we're the only place on the Shore you can do so with the peace of mind that no one will know it's YOU that sent it in. Name calling and attacking people is not healthy debate, absent logical reasons for doing so. SBYNews is NOT a "Safe Space". I firmly believe it's HUMAN and healthy to be scared or to disagree. It's how we learn, how we grow and how we make sound decisions. Liberal Colleges seem to think that EVERYONE should be exactly alike. Next we'll see everyone living in the exact same home, same color, same windows, same everything. They'll have the exact same cars, make the exact same amount of money. Every Liberal will have a "safe space" and if you disagree with anyone opposite your color or gender you'll be labeled a racist. Jim Ireton proved that when I ran for Mayor.

Yeah, I'll suffer through the extra six hours a day to deal with the fatal errors, until they somehow completely shut me down. God blessed me with a very successful business career allowing me to retire. Anyone who honestly knows about retirement can tell you, it's cool the first six months but after that you go nuts trying to find things to do. In most cases retired people find a way to "Pay It Forward" and volunteer. In my case, I created a Blog and I serve tens of thousands of people who depend on what I do every day of the week/year. I hope all of you appreciate that. For what it's worth, I have also found the spare time to volunteer my time elsewhere.

To those who are invited to our bonfires, thanks for the incredible discussions. It's great to learn from others and grow as human beings. I'm thinking, instead of calling it a bonfire, maybe we should call it our SAFE SPACE. Have a great week everyone!

Conservative News Website Shuts Down, Blames Facebook

Salisbury Maryland Continues To Turn Into A Sh!thole: Dunkin Donuts Begging....

I wish I thought of it when I left DD this morning near the college. There is a man with his "please help sign". As I wait in line I watch someone give him the breakfast that they likely bought for themselves, he peeks in the bag (i assume looking for cash) then places it behind the bushes. When I was leaving I looked behind the bush, there were 4+ cups of coffee and who knows how many bags of food. I wish I took a picture to send in (didn't have my coffee, so not quick thinking). Maybe you have someone local to swing by to catch this punk. We work hard for our money, then try to be kind to those less fortunate. Then to see they don't even appreciate the food provided to them, because they are too busy making a living off of sitting on a curb.

Speaking of curb sitting, for the entire winter on the back corner of Walgreens, is this family with a young son maybe 8 to 10 years old. Every afternoon they are there when I ride by (it's my post office run from work). First of all, this kid should probably be in school. And does a kid that young have any business being outside on a curb in this weather. I know he uses that kid for "advertisement" so he can get more money for who knows what.

JAKE DAY, DO NOT VETO THE SALARY INCREASE!

Jake, we obviously do not agree on many matters, however, do NOT veto the pay raise the City Council have approved. Allow me to explain.

I recommend you go back to the City Council and ask that they change the Charter from a Part Time position to a Full Time position. If you mean what you say referencing the veto, DONATE the additional funds to whatever charity you so choose within the City. It won't take effect until 2019 anyway and quite frankly you do not know that you will in fact win.

I think everyone will agree, the budget for the City certainly calls for a $50,000.00 a year salary for Mayor. For a Full Time position, that is. This will also encourage MANY others to consider stepping up to the plate to run for Mayor. Perhaps that's what you are so afraid of, I don't know.

Do NOT veto this salary proposal and if you are the man you claim to be, donate the additional $25,000.00 to someone like Hal Chernoff at the Main Street Gym, who works with underprivileged kids in Salisbury.

Salisbury Maryland City Council Agrees To Double Mayors Salary & More...

Last night the City Council agreed to double the Mayors salary from $25,000.00 to $50,000.00. Of course, (because he's running for a new elected position) former Mayor Jim Ireton was the sole nay vote to appear somewhat conservative. No one is stupid enough to realize his nay vote meant absolutely nothing. His only advantage is to take the position that he was against it.

The Council also agreed to raise their own salaries from $10,000.00 to $12,000.00 a year. Like $2,000.00 a year makes all that alleged time they spend studying materials will now make it all worth while.

So, who's going to finally step up to the plate and run for Mayor and Council?

I should add, I told you they were going to propose $75,000.00 a year only to settle at $50,000.00 a year. It's the Liberal way of doing business and always has been.

Gas Fodder

By Thornton Crowe

Over the last four months, I have been approached by two people who have fallen prey to the credit card skimmers at two area Royal Farms stores. Considering I have minimal at best interactions with locals now days, this is not a good ratio.

Last November, one man reported his card was cloned after using the Beaglin Park Drive Royal Farms. When he went to the pump, he noticed a car with two guys, acting as if they were waiting for his pump - even though there were other pumps available. He pumped his gas then left but noticed as he was exiting the parking lot, the waiting car drove up to the pump and left without getting gas.

Within a couple of hours, his credit card company contacted him with a litany of charges being made to his card. It was with that call he realized what the two were up to.

Another case just happened this last week at the South Division Street Royal Farms, across from the Milford Medical Park. A woman used the pumps there and within less than 24-hours, a multitude of charges started to drop on her bank account. She was completely unaware of it until her bank phoned her about possible fraud. Even though the charges were all reversed, she was required to get another debit card.

Granted, it's not Royal Farms' fault entirely but their pumps are never manned by store employee, which makes them easy marks for making targets, undetected. If you notice, there aren't even any visible cameras in these areas to deter criminal behavior.

The card skimmer equipment is easily camouflaged because it just blends into the existing reader. The image here illustrates what to look for when you go to the local gas pumps. Plus, unlike the first victim, seldom do these criminals have to sit at the actual stations as they can be remotely accessed from a couple blocks away from the target area.

Hopefully, you will catch it before it becomes an issue for you, but it would also be good if area self-serve pump outlets would check their card readers periodically throughout the day to safeguard their customers.

In the meantime, just be mindful before putting your card in these outdoor readers -- you never know what criminal ruse is afoot.

A Viewer Writes: Electric Bills

Hi Joe,

I have been hearing some outrageous electric bills coming out this month. I know it was really cold and some households had their kids home for snow days. I was wondering if you had heard any other complaints from Del Power customers?

For example a student here at SU was gone 10 days over Christmas/NYE break and left her heat on 60 while they were gone. Her bill was over $700. My bill was the highest it’s ever been close to $300. Have heard some other bills being in the 300-400 dollar range.

Mentally Unstable Nut Job Julie Brewington To Run For Wicomico County Council

It doesn't matter, (obviously) how many times you sign up for AA and attempt to ask for forgiveness in a 12 step program, there isn't a bottle of wine this woman ever passed up by this woman and a plastic surgeon with Botox she ever walked away from either.

That's right, this woman is a nut case and I've even had phone calls from Montgomery County officials who instantly said she's got serious mental issues.

Lawyer, Mrs. Brewington, has my client called you in the past 2 years?

Brewington, No.

Lawyer, Has he text you in the past 2 years?

Brewington, No.

Lawyer, Has he spoken to you in public in any way, shape or form in the last 2 years?

Brewington, No.

Lawyer, Your Honor, can someone please tell me what we're doing here.

Judge, Mrs. Brewington, you filed for a Peace Order in fear for your life. Can you please tell me why you have done so when this man hasn't made any contact with you over the past 2 years.

Brewington: "He's Creepy".

Judge, Case Dismissed!

The woman has mental issues and has proven to be the town drunk at so many public events it isn't funny. Yeah, this is exactly what Wicomico County needs, another head strong nut job who will take any man to court because they want NOTHING to do with her. Hey Julie, #metoo!

I strongly encourage each and every one of you to go to my search bar in the top left hand side of this home page and simply type in her name. You will clearly see the difficulties I have experienced with this nut case. She's a LIAR, a DRUNK and a total mental case desperate for attention.

Guess what Julie, you're right, I'm creepy. I don't talk behind your back. I call it for what it is and you chose the wrong person to screw with. Yeah, I know, I'll see you in court for what Julie, for the 5th time you've filed charges against me??? Enjoy the attention Julie Nut Job Brewington.

Military Deployed As Jamaica Officials Declare State Of Emergency

Foreigners are being asked by their respective governments to exercise extreme caution and stay within the perimeter of their resorts in Montego Bay, Jamaica, after a wave of out of control violence has overpowered local authorities. On Thursday, the country’s prime minister, Andrew Holness, declared the state of emergency in the St. James parish to “restore public safety,” and also thwart a mass exodus of international investment and tourism.

In response, the government deployed the Jamaica Defense Forces onto the city streets in what is described as a “major military operation.”

Maj. Gen. Antony Anderson, Jamaica’s national security advisor, told CTV News Channel on Friday that authorities imposed a military lockdown of the area, following 335 homicides in 2017, and as reported by CTV that is “twice the tally of any other parish” in the country.

Robber Press release WCBI

On the evening of November 24, 2017, at approximately 8:18 p.m. the Pocomoke City Police Department responded to a 911 call for an armed robbery at the Rite Aid on Linden Ave in Pocomoke MD. Investigators from the Worcester Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene and initiated the investigation. It was determined that a African American male between 5’7 to 5’10 and 150lbs wearing all black clothing, black gloves and a white cloth material over his face entered the store and demanded money from the clerk of the Rite Aid. The suspect displayed a handgun in his waistband to the store clerk. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. Ashley Harris who was the clerk at the Rite Aid during the robbery was also the caller that reported the incident to 911.

On January 25, 2018, the Worcester Bureau of Investigation with the assistance of the Maryland State Apprehension Team arrested 3 individuals for the armed robbery that occurred at that Rite Aid on November 24, 2017. The individuals arrested are identified as Ashley Harris (27 years of age), Nicole Harris (27 years of age), and Deandre Purnell (27 years of age).

Through the investigation, it was learned that Ashley Harris, the Rite Aid employee, allegedly conspired with her sister, Nicole Harris and Deandre Purnell to commit the reported robbery.

Ashley Harris, Nicole Harris, and Deandre Purnell have all been charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Theft, and other related charges.

Ashley Harris, Nicole Harris and Deandre Purnell were all taken before a District Court Commissioner and were held without bond.

Who's Mental?

You Have To Wonder...

How did the four robbers know there was only one guard in yesterday's armored truck robbery in Salisbury Maryland?

How did they know exactly what time to hit the armored truck loaded with cash for the ATM Machine?

Do you think that these robbers knew Salisbury Maryland is a prime target for such criminal activity?

I'm pretty confident the Police will catch up with these guys, especially since there were four of them. One of the four is going to brag about it and in the end all four will get arrested.

That doesn't mean that Salisbury Maryland isn't going to see more and more of these kind of crimes. In fact, we already have. Just use the search bar on SBYNews and see how bank robberies are escalating over the years.

Residents aren't stupid. Just because your Mayor and Police Chief, (and yes, even your media) push crime is down doesn't mean it is true. Now these criminals are going to see that it's getting easier and easier to do these crimes and get away with it, for now. In the mean time they're carrying guns and even at this very same Bank a County Official was shot withdrawing money out of the ATM Machine. The security guard was smart to not fight back.

Yeah, just keep voting for people with no backbone to fire the Chief of Police. People who will lie to your face. Keep following the brainwashing news leaders. However, in the mean time, might I suggest all of you purchase bullet proof vests. In fact, someone who is truly interested in economic development should open up a Vest Store on the Downtown Plaza. Welcome To Da Bury.

Yo, We Be Too Busy Funnin Round. We'll Give You $10,000.00 If You Can Help Us Get The Armor Truck Robbers

The Salisbury Police Department have already given up on trying to catch FOUR Bank Robbers and are now offering a $10,000.00 reward. Maybe Mayor Jake Day offered to pony up the $10k from his newly proposed pay increase so he can keep Chief Duncan on the job. Sorry Mr. Chernoff.

Baltimore's Top Cop Fired After Out-Of-Control Homicides

Baltimore’s top cop was fired Friday after a record year in per-capita homicides that has transformed Maryland’s largest city into one of the most dangerous areas in the United States.

To put things in perspective, Baltimore’s murder rate is 4x the average of other large cities and some 40 percent higher than Detroit. To make matters worse, Baltimore is now precisely tied with Venezuela, a country suffering from an economic collapse at 57.2 murders per 100,000 residents.

Mayor Catherine Pugh relieved Police Commissioner Kevin Davis of his duties after 2 1/2 years as top cop. Pugh, then announced that Deputy Commissioner Darryl DeSousa, who has been on the force for 30-years, will take Commissioner Kevin Davis‘ spot effective immediately.

NFL rejects veteran-submitted 'Please Stand' Super Bowl LII ad for being too political

National veterans group American Veterans (AMVETS) said the NFL rejected its full-page Super Bowl ad over the words "Please Stand."

The proposed ad, which would have been printed in the official Super Bowl LII program, featured a color guard holding the American flag with a call to donate to AMVETS.

The NFL told Fox News they objected to the words "Please Stand" due to its political nature. The decision comes amid the controversy surrounding NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem, sparked by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick last season.

"The Super Bowl game program is designed for fans to commemorate and celebrate the game, players, teams and the Super Bowl. It’s never been a place for advertising that could be considered by some as a political statement," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told Fox News.

Dan Gainor, vice president of business and culture at the Media Research Center, told Fox News the NFL "has become too politically correct for its own good."

"It wouldn't let the Dallas Cowboys honor the slain police officers who died defending its citizens, but it bends over backward to support the anthem protests," Gainor told us. "Now it won't even allow a fantastic organization to call for fans to stand up for our veterans. It turns out the NFL has been lying to us for years. It doesn't represent patriotic Americans. It doesn't represent veterans. It is simply a sport for whiny millionaires."

A Viewer Writes: Speed Cameras US vs UK

I have noticed that the speed and red light cameras in the United Kingdom are painted bright yellow to deter drivers from speeding and running red lights. Drivers see these and instantly slow down and follow the rules of the road. They are there to remind drivers of the laws and not to primarily make money for the government.

When I go thru town and look see the speed cameras in Salisbury, the red light cameras in Seaford and the assortment mounted up street polls in DC. I notice that the city/county/state go out of their way to make them as inconspicuous as possible... going as far as to camouflage them as electrical boxes or telephone pedestals. Drab colors that blend in to the surroundings so that new drivers to the area will not pick up on their location.

I agree, speeding and running red lights is bad and those who do it should be penalized. But in the case of a school zone where the lives of children are at risk... i would rather the driver notice the camera and slow down versus collecting money. Is the value of a ticket greater than the value of a pedestrians life?

An Interesting Comment Worthy Of A Post

Anonymous said...

Here are some questions and something that the taxpayers of Salisbury should know.

On Wednesday morning, January 24, 2018, around 9 AM or so, I was on my way to a doctors appointment at a DC hospital and a white Salisbury City car went flying by me just past the town of Easton. I was doing about 65 MPH so I would guess that this City car was doing approximately 80 MPH. I am LEO so I can give a good estimate of speed. It looked like a White Ford Edge with those silly looking Jake Day family colors on the stripes. The car also had a city seal and Local Government tags. When I caught up with her at the next stop light near the area I inched up on the passenger side and looked into the window. It appeared to be driven by Julia Glanz, Salisbury City Administrator. I also paced her at speeds between 75 to 85 in a 55 MPH zone to the next stop light near the Outlets. She wasn't even aware that I was behind her. What I would like to know and the citizens of Salisbury need to know is why she was driving at dangerously high speeds through the town and even faster on the highway. She is a liability to the City and the citizens. She could have killed herself and/or innocent victims of these counties she was driving through.

This needs to be exposed and the Citizens have to know about it. I hope you post this because I would love to see what kind of excuse she has for putting lives in Jeopardy. Where was she going in such a hurry? She is also a liability to the City's insurance company and probably shouldn't be driving City vehicles.

To the owner of this blog, I give you permission to post this as a Letter to the Editor. Are the readers familiar with "A year and a day?"

‘Don’t ever preach to me again!’: Ex-GOP chair tells evangelicals who still support Trump to ‘shut the hell up!’

Former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele blasted Family Research Council president Tony Perkins for giving President Donald Trump a“mulligan” on paying hush money to former adult film star Stormy Daniels.

“When it comes down to giving Trump a pass, some top evangelical leaders are turning a blind eye to his past indiscretions and came to his defense following recent reports about his alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels,” MSNBC host Chris Matthews explained.

“I have very simple admonition: just shut the hell up and don’t preach to me about anything ever again,” Steele suggested.

“After telling me who to love, what to believe, what to do and what not to do and now you sit back and the prostitutes don’t matter, the grabbing the you-know-what doesn’t matter, the outright behavior and lies don’t matter, just shut up!” Steele blasted.

“They have no voice of authority anymore for me,” Steele concluded.

Update On Speed Camera In Pittsville

Changes need to be made on the article I published last week, we were wrong.

First of all, the Sheriff's Department has nothing to do with this camera.

Secondly, while this is a speed camera, it's not what you or I thought it was. You see, it's only there to do a study to see how many people are in fact speeding.

There are NO citations from this unit. It will simply regulate the many complaints that have been made to see if there is in fact a habitual speeding problem throughout Pittsville and this camera has been temporarily set up to confirm or deny the complaints brought forth to the Council.

I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused. It seemed logical.

Eastern Shore Residents Concerned Over Air Pollution From Mega-Chicken Houses

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)– Many think of smoke stacks and tail pipes when it comes to pollution, but on the Eastern Shore, the concern is over ammonia levels produced by chicken waste.

Chicken farming has long been a staple in Maryland agriculture and it’s changing.

What were once common operations that housed flocks of 25,000 chickens, are now being replaced with mega-chicken houses.

“Did it for 23 years, but I only had two houses, and that’s not even considered a chicken farm anymore,” Eastern Shore farmer Carol Morison said. “We’re seeing huge, huge 49,000 capacity houses per flock of chickens, and we’re seeing 10, 12, 20, sometimes three houses built on one place.”

The houses are producing a lot more waste, which has some worried that much more ammonia is being injected into the air, which threatens human health.

“We have the highest rate of asthma, respiratory diseases in the entire state of Maryland, and one in four of our youth in middle school have asthma,” Eastern Shore resident Monica Brooks said.

BREAKING NEWS: SALISBURY CITY COUNCIL WOMAN APRIL JACKSON'S CASE POSTPONED AGAIN!

In September of 2017 the courts heard the preliminary inquiry. Then on 10-18, 11-22, 12-13 and now 1-25 they postponed this case again. Never in all my years have I seen a case getting pushed back like this one. Nevertheless, this is the update on this case.

Ravens cornerback arrested in Alabama on robbery charge

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey was arrested in his home state of Alabama after a fight with an Uber driver, according to court documents.

Information from the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office shows that Humphrey was booked on Thursday for third-degree robbery, a felony.

An incident report filed by the University of Alabama Police Department indicates a $15 charger was stolen on Jan. 13.

According to court documents, Humphrey and three women got into an Uber at the university, and Humphrey asked to borrow a cellphone cable to charge his phone. When they arrived at their destination, Hotel Capstone, Humphrey refused to return the cable, the court document stated.

DEVELOPING: DOJ Says Missing FBI Texts Found

We may soon learn more about an alleged “secret society” against President Trump as a DOJ watchdog says it has recovered five months of missing text messages between FBI agents.

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz told senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson that thousands of messages between agents on Robert Mueller’s team have been located.

Horowitz said the texts were found using forensic tools on at least four phones seized from Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

The agents are accused of having an anti-Trump bias, and of inserting that into major investigations.

This comes after Republican senators demanded answers about the missing messages the FBI blamed on a glitch.

NFL Commish Goodell: Social Justice Campaign Between NFL, Players ‘Just the Beginning’

Despite the plummeting TV ratings and continued anger of fans over a rising tide of anthem protests, National Football Commissioner Roger Goodell is promising that the league is ready to increase its attention to so-called “social justice” programs and campaigns.

Only a day after news broke that the NFL rejected an ad that the military veteran group AMVETS wanted to air during the Super Bowl because it celebrated veterans and honored the national anthem, Goodell promised that the current spending on social justice is “just the beginning.”

“We’re just getting started with this effort,” Goodell said according to the Bangor Daily News.

Goodell made his comments on Tuesday at a meeting of members of a joint committee of owners and players that had been convened to shepherd the new social justice programs.

John Kerry says he might run for president in 2020

Former Secretary of State John Kerry recently told a confidant of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that he is considering a second run for the presidency in 2020.

Kerry ran unsuccessfully against President George W. Bush in 2004.

His comments, reported by the Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv, came during a London discussion about the Middle East peace process with Hussein Agha, a Lebanese academic who is close to Abbas.

Kerry, 74, said his advanced age wouldn't be an impediment to mounting another White House bid, and urged Agha to tell Abbas to 'stay strong' and 'play for time' while Trump is in the White House.

New York Gov. Cuomo Wants to Give DACA Recipients Free Tuition at State Colleges

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to give illegal aliens brought to the U.S. as children under DACA free tuition at the state’s public colleges.

Cuomo, a Democrat, included a provision in his $168 billion budget that would change the state’s education law to make illegal alien children who were part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program eligible to receive free tuition through the Excelsior Scholarship, the New York Post reported.

The scholarship gives students free tuition at any New York State public college if their families make $125,000 or less, regardless of grade-point average or standardized test scores.

The only condition of the program is that students remain in the state for the “number of years equal to the reward received” to keep the scholarship, meaning that students who receive the free tuition must live and work in the state or pay the money back.

A Viewer Writes: School Shooting

After yet another School Shooting, devastating the lives of all those involved. I believe our Government should provide funding to install these in every Public School in this Nation. Also have a "Buzz in System" after school starts for each outer door on every building on campus. It would provide so many new jobs and protect our children.

I feel sad for thinking this way, but even more sad for those families that have lost their children. I feel their pain for I have also lost my daughter.

Kent Sworn In As First Female Judge In Worcester County History

SNOW HILL — History was made last week when Magistrate Mary Margaret “Peggy” Kent was officially sworn in as the first woman to serve on the bench in Worcester County.

Kent, along with Worcester County State’s Attorney Beau Oglesby, was appointed by Gov. Larry Hogan in late December to fill one of two vacancies on the Worcester County Circuit Court bench created by the mandated retirement of long-time Judges Thomas Groton and Richard Bloxom.

Her investiture and official swearing-in ceremony took place last Friday in front of a standing room-only crowd that spilled over into the hallway and an adjacent courtroom.

During the ceremony, Kent was surrounded by her husband of 40-plus years, Tommy Dickerson, and their two daughters, Tory Kate and Molly, along with her parents and other immediate family members. Kent was surrounded by legions of friends and peers with whom she has nurtured lasting relationships over her many years in the community, both privately and professionally as a compassionate and fair, but stern jurist.
