'What has Michael Bloomberg got to hide?': Elizabeth Warren demands billionaire presidential rival release women from confidentiality agreements

Senator Elizabeth Warren is again calling on Michael Bloomberg to release former female employees of his company from confidentiality agreements after several of them filed suits alleging hostile work environments.

‘If his company has an enviable record, then let people in his company or former people from his company speak about that enviable record,’ the senator from Massachusetts told ABC News on Saturday.

‘What is it that Michael Bloomberg has to hide?’

Both Warren and Bloomberg are running for the Democratic nomination for president.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a group of migrants that included Bangladeshi, Chinese, and Haitian nationals. They also arrested a member of the MS-13 gang and a wounded Mexican cartel gunman who fled across the border.

Agents assigned to the Del Rio Sector apprehended multiple illegal aliens from various nations during a 24-hour period on January 9, according to Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials.

The foreign nationals included five Chinese, three Bangladeshi, five Haitians, and a cartel member who was wounded in a gun battle with Mexican state police. In total, the agents apprehended 107 illegal aliens during the period.

Israeli intelligence helped US carry out Soleimani's assassination 'by confirming which flight terror chief took to Iraq' - and PM Benjamin Netanyahu was the 'only American ally told about the mission'

The US reportedly relied on Israeli intelligence in the assassination of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.

Soleimani, the head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, was killed in a US airstrike as he left Baghdad International Airport after flying in from Damascus on January 3rd.

Informants in Damascus tipped the CIA off about which flight Soleimani would be on and Israeli intelligence verified and confirmed that information, NBC News and Reuters reported Sunday.

Hezbollah leader warns the US will 'discover in blood how unsafe the world has become' as he cites The Washington Post's criticism of Trump

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah labelled America 'the Great Satan' in a speech Sunday, as he vowed revenge for Qassem Soleimani's death and cited The Washington Post's criticism of Donald Trump.

The Lebanese secretary-general called the president 'the biggest liar in America's history' a week after saying all US bases, all warships and every single soldier in the region is now a target.

The last known images of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani before he was blown up in a US drone strike show him hugging and praying with Nasrallah in Beirut.

And Nasrallah said Sunday: 'America, the Great Satan, is responsible for Israel and all its crimes against the Palestinian people'

Troopers Arrest Bridgeville Man for 6th Offense DUI-Seaford

Seaford– The Delaware State Police have arrested 47-year-old James H. Comegys Jr., after he was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs for the 6th time.

The incident occurred on January 12, 2020 at approximately 7:31 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the area of Northbound Sussex Highway and Bethel Concord Road, Seaford, for a report of a white Ford vehicle swerving all over the roadway. Upon arrival to the area, the Trooper observed a white Ford Fusion in the left lane of Northbound Sussex Highway, approaching the red traffic light of Middleford Road. The vehicle came to a stop several feet past the white stop line and when the traffic light turned green the vehicle remained stopped. The Trooper activated their emergency equipment when the driver, James Comegys, proceeded into the parking lot of Popeye’s and drove around the entire building before coming to a stop.

Contact was subsequently made with Comegys when the Trooper observed signs that he was driving under the influence and a DUI investigation ensued. Troopers located drug paraphernalia along with approximately .021 grams of heroin inside the vehicle. A computer check revealed that Comegys’s had five previous DUI convictions, making this his 6th arrest.

Comegys was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 5 where he was charged with the following:
  • 6th Offense after 5 prior offenses – Driving a Vehicle under the Influence of any Drug
  • Unlawful to Tamper, or circumvent the operation of, any Ignition Interlock Device
  • Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)
Comegys was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $23200.00 cash only bond.

ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan and Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) Secretary Dr. James D. Fielder announced the awarding of nearly $9 million in tax credits for 9,600 Maryland residents with student loan debt.

“It is critical that we look for ways to help those in our state crippled by student loan debt,” Governor Hogan said. “This program helps Maryland taxpayers pay off student debt, while remaining in the workforce and having a positive impact on the state economy.”

“MHEC staff is proud to administer programs like this that support student success with less debt,” Secretary Fielder said. “Governor Hogan’s ongoing efforts to find solutions to the national student loan debt crisis is one more example of his unwavering commitment to make education a top priority of his administration.”

There were 9,600 applicants who were eligible for the Student Loan Debt Relief Tax Credit. The tax credits were divided into two groups of eligibility, including Maryland residents who attended a Maryland institution and Maryland residents who attended an out-of-state institution. There were 6,331 eligible applicants who attended in-state institutions and will each receive $1,000 in tax credits, while 3,269 eligible applicants who attended out-of-state institutions will each receive $813 each in tax credits.

“You Can’t Make This Up! The FISA Court Must be Trying to Abolish Itself!” – Devin Nunes Goes Off after FISA Court Picks Trump-Hating Loon to Fix Itself

On Friday, Judge James Boasberg, the new head of the FISA Court, announced in an order that he has appointed Obama-era national security leader at the DOJ David S. Kris as amicus counsel to review the reforms the FBI will be making to its FISA application process.

In December presiding FISA judge Rosemary Collyer announced she would be stepping down early from the FISA Court due to ‘health issues.’

Chief Justice Roberts tapped Judge James Boasberg, an Obama appointee to replace Collyer.

Donald Trump Backs Iran Protesters: ‘We Are Inspired by Your Courage’

President Donald Trump shared messages of support with Iranian protesters in Tehran on Saturday.

He wrote on Twitter.

"To the brave, long-suffering people of Iran: I’ve stood with you since the beginning of my Presidency, and my Administration will continue to stand with you. We are following your protests closely, and are inspired by your courage."

Trump wrote the message on Twitter in English and Farsi as hundreds of Iranians protested the regime in Tehran.

The president also pressured the Iranian government to allow human rights groups to monitor the protests.

“There can not be another massacre of peaceful protesters, nor an internet shutdown,” he wrote. “The world is watching.”

Incredible moment Iranian students refuse to step on US and Israeli flags amid anti-government marches as Trump warns the country's leaders not to kill its protesters

This is the incredible moment hundreds of Iranian students refuse to step on the American and Israeli flags amid anti-government marches in the country and a warning to its leaders from Donald Trump to 'not kill protesters'.

The clip taken at Shaheed Beheshti University on Sunday shows crowds deliberately avoiding walking over the Stars and Stripes and the Star of David before furiously berating those that do.

Ali Khamenei's regime is said to have painted the flags at the main entrance of the university for students to walk over as a sign of disrespect.

In 2016, Iranian professor Sadegh Zibakalam, who has avoided walking on the flags in the past, said: 'It is a sign of disrespect toward that nation. Placing the flag of a country on the ground and stepping on it is an error, a sign of disrespect toward that nation.'

Nolte: To Troll Trump, Media Lie About Obama’s Role in Killing Qaddafi

To troll President Trump, the fake news media are now lying about the Obama administration’s direct role in the death of Libyan strongman Muammar Qaddafi.

It all started Friday afternoon when deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley accurately tweeted, “Soleimani was, in fact, planning ‘imminent attacks.’ While Democrats and the media quibble over its definition, quick point: When Obama killed … Qaddafi without Congressional approval, there were NO ‘imminent attacks’ and Democrats did not ask or care”.

In other words, the hypocrisy coming from the media and Democrats is staggering.

We all see what’s happening here…

In a blatant effort to undermine President Trump’s effective handling of Iran’s escalating aggression, the fake media and Democrats are not only openly siding with the terrorist state of Iran; they’re openly mourning the death of a monster and trying to claim this was, at worst, some sort of illegal assassination and, at best, extra-constitutional.

But as Gidley points out, Obama targeted the actual leader of a country: Qaddafi. And as bad as Qaddafi was, he was no threat to America.

And after Obama took out Qaddafi, everyone cheered — neo-cons, Democrats, the media…

Decorated Vietnam and Iraq war hero has his prosthetic legs REPOSSESSED two days before Christmas

A decorated Vietnam and Iraq war hero says his prosthetic legs were repossessed two days before Christmas.

Now Jerry Holliman, 69, says he's stuck in a Mississippi veterans home, unable to use the artificial limbs after they were returned to him - most likely because he went to the media with his story.

He technically still doesn't own them and needs to have them adjusted before he can wear them.

Supreme Court refuses to 'Free the Nipple'

The Supreme Court on Monday decided not to "Free the Nipple," refusing to hear an appeal by three women fined by a city in New Hampshire for exposing their breasts in public who argued that banning female but not male toplessness violates the U.S. Constitution.

The justices left in place a 2019 ruling by New Hampshire's top court upholding the women's convictions for violating an ordinance in the city of Laconia that makes it illegal to show female breasts in public "with less than a fully opaque covering of any part of the nipple."

The women - Heidi Lilley, Kia Sinclair and Ginger Pierro - were involved in the "Free the Nipple" movement, which court papers described as campaigns against "sexualized objectification of women" and in favor of women being able to go topless in public if they wish.

Schumer-Tied PAC Received $1.7 Million From Dark Money Group

A political action committee linked to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) has received $1.7 million from a liberal dark money group for shared staff and office space since 2015, tax and Federal Election Commission forms show.

Schumer, who has said that dark money is "casting a shadow over our political process," has condemned groups on the right that do not disclose their funders. He also demanded one right-leaning organization release a list of its donors, saying the public "deserves to know who is funding" campaigns against Democrats.

Despite the condemnation of dark money groups, the Schumer-linked Senate Majority PAC, which works to elect Democrats in the Senate, is closely affiliated with Majority Forward, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit that does not disclose its funders.

Schumer and other Democrats have chastised Republican dark money groups such as the Judicial Crisis Network, a right-leaning organization. Schumer and Democrat senators earlier this year demanded JCN make public the names of individuals who have given the group more than $10,000 since 2017.

Change in Food Stamp Work Requirements Leaves States Scrambling to Limit Fallout

Thirty-two states and the District of Columbia are scrambling to address a Trump administration policy change that will keep nearly 700,000 of their poorest residents from accessing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly called food stamps.

Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced last month that in an effort "to restore the dignity of work," the Trump administration would limit states from waiving work requirements in areas of high unemployment for people between the ages of 18 and 49 who are childless and not disabled.

The change will affect hundreds of thousands of people and create a tremendous amount of work for small state agencies over a short timeline, NBC News reports.

REVEALED: Top FBI official who leaked court-sealed and sensitive information about 'terrorism and law enforcement' to reporters through hundreds of texts, rounds of golf and private dinners

The identity of a former top FBI official who leaked sensitive information by sending hundreds of texts to six reporters and playing golf with them has been revealed.

Washington Examiner named Bryan Paarmann, the deputy assistant director of the FBI's International Operations Division from 2016 to 2017, as the official after obtaining a report through the Freedom of Information Act.

Paarmann, 53, is said to have 'improperly disclosed court-sealed and law enforcement sensitive information to the media' in violation with FBI protocol.

The incident is included in Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz's June 2018 report that called out the FBI's 'culture of unauthorized media contacts.'

Four Wounded as Seven Mortar Bombs Hit Iraqi Balad Base Hosting US Troops - Reports

The Balad military base was a target of last week's rocket attacks carried out in retaliation for the death of Iranian Quds chief Qasem Soleimani. The attack resulted in no casualties or damage.

Seven mortar bombs have hit the Iraqi Balad Air Base in the north of the country, Reuters quoted military sources as saying. According to sources, four Iraqi soldiers were injured in the incident.

However, AFP cited security forces as saying that the base was hit by just four rockets.

"In State Of Shock" - Former CIA Spook Warns Dems, Deep State "Getting Desperate" To Stop Trump

Former CIA Officer and counter-terrorism expert Kevin Shipp says the threat of outright war with Iran is over - for now.

But, Shipp warns that Iran will change its strategy from overt conflict to covert conflict against the US...
“Iran has backed down. There is no question about that, and even their so-called missile strikes against the U.S. are basically just kicking sand, intentionally missing their target. Iran understands if they entered into a war with the U.S., they would be left with nothing more than a burnt stump. So, Iran is backing down...

What Iran is going to do is engage in asymmetrical warfare. I think they are going to start activating their sleeper cells in the United States and other countries like Saudi Arabia. We are going to start seeing attacks on easy targets in places like Iraq and activation of cells within the United States.”

Sen. Tom Cotton: ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ Fueling Criticism of Soleimani Elimination

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), a staunch ally of President Donald Trump, told Breitbart News on Saturday that he thinks “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is fueling the fervor among Democrats and the establishment media who are criticizing President Trump’s decision to eliminate Iranian Quds Force terrorist leader Qasem Soleimani.

“First and regrettably, the Democrats and the media really do suffer from something like Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Cotton said when asked why the media and left are so upset about this. “They can look at something that is unequivocally good, like removing a terrorist mastermind from the battlefield, and if Donald Trump did it, it must be bad. That’s true in domestic policy for sure, but regrettably it appears to be true in foreign policy and national security matters as well.”

Cotton then ripped the Democrats for veering more leftist than even former President Barack Obama was, noting that openly socialist leaders like Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and other far-left Democrats like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) are running the show in their party now.

‘Profiles in Corruption’ Hits #1 on Amazon 10 Days Before Book Release

The highly anticipated investigative bombshell book Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite hit #1 on Amazon Saturday, despite the fact that the book’s official release is still over a week away.

When Axios and Breitbart News first reported about the book’s unveiling by publisher HarperCollins on Thursday, Profiles in Corruption was #822,128 on Amazon. Less than 48 hours later, the book zoomed to #1 across all book genres.

Very little is publicly known about the book’s contents. Government Accountability Institute President and Breitbart News senior contributor Peter Schweizer and his investigative team spent a year and a half researching it. A source close to the publisher said the book’s contents will “upend official Washington” and that Schweizer’s prior bombshell revelations about Hunter Biden were “just the tip of the iceberg.” The book is said to contain brand new evidence that five members of Joe Biden’s family—the “Biden Five”—scored “tens of millions of dollars” in taxpayer cash and guaranteed loans.

Trump Wants Pelosi, Schiff as Impeachment Witnesses

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that senators will “pay a price” if they block new witnesses in Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, but the president quickly retorted that she and House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff should also testify.

The House plans to vote this week to transmit the articles of impeachment to the Senate for the historic trial on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress over Trump’s actions toward Ukraine. It will be only the third impeachment trial in American history.

“It’s about a fair trial,” Pelosi told ABC’s “’This Week.” “We’ve done our job. We have defended the Constitution of the United States. We would hope the Senate would do that as well.”

She warned: “Now the ball is in their court to either do that or pay a price.”

Girl, 13, dies from the flu days before her 14th birthday and an unvaccinated four-year-old goes blind during one of the worst virus seasons for decades that's killed 32 children

A four-year-old girl in Iowa who was not vaccinated for the flu has been left blind after suffering a severe bout of the virus that left her in the intensive care unit for two weeks.

Jade DeLucia, of Iowa City, did not receive a flu shot this season but caught the virus a few days before Christmas and within a matter of days the infection triggered a seizure and left her unresponsive in the hospital.

She contracted influenza B, a strain of the flu that affects children more than adults and has been spreading this season.

This year's child flu death toll in the US has risen to 32, according to the CDC. Among those deaths, 21 were from the influenza B virus.

The blue-state exodus gains momentum

Nine years ago I published a piece that asserted, “Voters around the country are concluding it’s better to be red than dead,” applying almost the exact opposite meaning to an old phrase referring to communism. New Census Bureau figures appear to confirm my prediction — mostly.

My point was that many voters were, and are, increasingly fed up with the high taxes, heavy regulations and increasing social wokeness that have come to characterize most blue states — i.e., those dominated by liberal politicians and policies.

I argued that voters wanting to live in a business-friendly, fiscally responsible state that minimizes its tax burden would either vote out the liberals destroying their state’s economy or flee to a red state. The latest Census Bureau report highlights the red-state shift.

According to an Election Data Services analysis of the Census Bureau report, “The population projections point toward a ten [congressional] seat change over 17 states across the nation by year 2020.”

'Death to liars!' Iranian protesters turn against regime and demand the Ayatollah RESIGN

Iranians have gathered in the streets of Tehran to demand the resignation of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei after the regime admitted it had mistakenly shot down a passenger plane.

Angry crowds gathered on Saturday night in at least four locations in Tehran, chanting 'death to liars' and calling for the country's supreme leader to step down over the tragic military blunder, video from the scene shows.

What began as mournful vigils for Iranian lives lost on the flight quickly turned to outrage and protest against the regime, and riot police quickly cracked down, firing tear gas into the crowd.

'Death to the Islamic Republic' protesters chanted, as the regime's paramilitary security force allegedly used ambulances to sneak heavily armed paramilitary police into the middle of crowds to disperse the demonstration.

Ukrainian Airlines Flight 752 was carrying 176 people, at least 130 of them Iranian citizens, when it was shot down by hapless Iranian Revolutionary Guard air defense forces shortly after taking off from Tehran on January 8.

Wages Soar Fastest among Those with the Least

It’s an article of liberal faith: Thanks to President Donald Trump’s $1.5 trillion Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the 'Prosecco' is popping on Wall Street, while the unsold Pepsi gathers dust on Main Street, where Americans are too poor to buy soft drinks.

“Workers are delivering more, and they’re getting a lot less,” former vice president Joe Biden told the Brookings Institution last summer. “There’s no correlation now between productivity and wages.”

Americans “are sick and tired of the income and wealth inequality that sees the rich getting much richer,” Senator Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) told last month.

“Wages have largely stagnated,” the campaign website of Senator Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) complains, while “fundamental changes in our economy have left millions of working families hanging on by their fingernails.”

These grim, lachrymose myths cannot mask this incredibly upbeat fact: The sparkling wine is flowing on Wall and Main streets, and it’s running more rapidly on Main, where take-home pay is expanding the most among those with the least.

Never mind the liberal lies. Hard data reveal this reality. The Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank’s monthly Wage Growth Tracker shows that Americans are making more money, particularly those who have been forgotten for decades.

CNN Pays $76 Million in Settlement with National Labor Relations Board

CNN has agreed to shell out $76 million in a back pay case that involved union employees, making it the largest monetary settlement in the history of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Variety reported that the labor dispute began in 2003 when the media company fired a group of unionized subcontractors working as technicians and in other support roles for Team Video Services before hiring non-union employees to replace those workers.

The action sparked a litigation war between the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians and Communications Workers of America that has lasted more than a decade.

More than 300 people will take part in the settlement. The NLRB, a federal agency that allows employees to unionize in the workplace, said in a statement that $76 million is more than what the agency typically sees in a back pay enforcement case.

Editor's note: Last week was a bad week for CNN. They settled two cases last week.
