It’s ironic that she wants to call it a “transitional living fund” since as a practical matter, Democrats are comfortable with welfare as a lifestyle.
In a brief speech on the House floor Wednesday, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) hailed the war on poverty, endorsed government welfare programs, and said the “safety net has to be something for all of us.”
“Maybe the word welfare should be changed to something of, ‘a transitional living fund.’ For that is what it is — for people to be able to live,” she said.
Jackson Lee hailed the Earned Income Credit, food and nutrition programs, jobs training and education programs, Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act as “huge safety nets — not handouts, but safety nets, she said.

Welfare is like heroin.
How about calling it the cradle to grave living fund?

Wish she could be put on the streets, and have to use it. She probably makes 6 figures, and I have rocks that I consider smarter than her.

I can understand what she is saying. Everyone needs to do the best they can for the benefit of all. If you make $1,000,000 a year and someone else only makes $10,000 than you should share the wealth. It's called being fair. It's also called redistributing the wealth. It's also called COMMUNISM (if you don't believe me look it up). Wake up people!!!
