Donna Brazile, you were absolutely right to tell Democrats to 'go to hell'

Most Democrats are publicly muting their criticism of Donna Brazile, a longtime party operative whose new tell-all book has shaken Washington with its revelations about how the Hillary Clinton campaign took control of the supposedly neutral Democratic National Committee. But privately, they are furious at Brazile’s charges that Clinton controlled the DNC and tilted the primary playing field to help her defeat Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

The book – titled “Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdown That Put Donald Trump in the White House” – came out Tuesday, but Brazille released excerpts last week and has been giving media interviews.

Brazile, a longtime Clinton ally, was tapped in mid-2016 to lead the embattled DNC after former chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned in July after leaked internal emails showed key members of her staff speaking critically of Bernie Sanders in his primary fight against Clinton.

“I completed my review of the DNC and I did find the cancer,” Brazile said she admitted to Sanders in September 2016. “I explained that the cancer was [Clinton] and [she] had exerted this control of the party long before she became the nominee.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, a leading Democratic progressive, when asked on Thursday if the DNC was rigged to favor Clinton, responded with one word: “yes.”

Salisbury's Rubber Stamp Candidate?

Jack Heath announcing his run for
County Executive with Brad
and Palmer Gillis.
By Thornton Crowe

In early November, Jack Heath, City Council President, announced he was running as an Independent for the Wicomico County Executive position. This move has been widely proffered by Salisbury Mayor Jake Day and with good reason given the candidate hopeful's political track record in his current position, where he's voted for everything the Mayor has put forth, including a staggering $50K pay raise per year for a part-time job.

This rubber stamp mentality has given Salisbury a few things one would not find palpable like the the Festival Fiasco, the Main Street construction project with it's million-dollar short-comings (for removing contaminated soils), along with the raise many citizens aren't on board with. Additionally, let us not forget, Heath and his fellow council members signed off on a budget starting last July which violated the City's charter, thus, making it illegal.

It seems interesting that Heath decides to run in the midst of the controversy concerning the City owing the County millions in back rent and capital expenditures for its squatting in the GOB as pointed out again in last Sunday's articles. Is Day hoping if Heath wins the City will be forgiven for the millions out of pocket to Wicomico citizens?

Whenever you see the Gillis clan in attendance, it's a good indication the local elites are going to push for a candidate - this time is no exception.  Anyone who knows Heath can attest to his timidity and this is probably a good reason people like Day along with Brad and Palmer Gillis are behind him. He seems to be the rubber stamp man they want to back all their hair-brained initiatives, more sweet real estate deals and nonsense.

Needing 700 signatures in order to obtain a legal place on the ballot, it seems Heath's camp, which apparently includes Day, has been pressuring City employees to sign the petition as per many sources' complaints to Salisbury News Editor, Joe Albero. This request has led some employees to fear they will be fired if they don't comply. When one source was challenged on their claim, the person said, "Just audit the signatures, you'll see."

This leads us to believe this claim is viable and furthermore, it's a violation of the Hatch Act of 1939, which prohibits the Mayor and City Council President from engaging in coercing City employees to do anything of a political nature, as defined:

"Enacted in 1939, the Hatch Act (5 U.S.C.A. 7324) curbs the political activities of employees in federal, state, and local governments. The law's goal is to enforce political neutrality among civil servants: the act prohibits them from holding public office, influencing elections, participating in or managing political campaigns, and exerting undue influence on government hiring."

As late as last weekend, Heath's representatives were still canvasing neighborhoods, trying to gather the necessary signatures; therefore, he may not met the threshold needed to actually run against incumbent, Republican Bob Culver.

This is not the most auspicious way to begin a campaign, but not surprising given the players involved. If anything, it only further validates how our local leadership and business class elites always seem to feel they're immune from laws the rest of us are task to live by.

Should Heath manage to get on the ballot legitimately, his nefarious past political folly along with this gross violation of federal law, penchant for rubber stamping items regardless of what they do the community and dubious connections should be a cautionary facts for voters to remember on November 6th, 2018.

Married teacher and JV cheerleading coach, 23, arrested for sex affair with teen boy student

A married North Carolina teacher and junior varsity cheerleading coach was arrested Wednesday after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a male student.

Katherine Ross Ridenhour, 23, an educator at Cox Mill High School in Concord, N.C., allegedly had a consensual relationship with a 17-year-old male student, FOX46 reported.

The Concord Police Department said Ridenhour and the student had “inappropriate contact” several times during the last month and a half at the school, FOX46 reported.

MSNBC Guest Exclaims "White Men Pose The Biggest Threat To Americans" After FBI Report On 'Black Extremists'

Jamira Burley appeared on “MSNBC Live” Saturday, claiming that white men "pose the biggest threat to Americans every single day."

As The Daily Caller's Justin Caruso details, in a segment about the Justice Department looking at “Black Identity Extremist” groups, Burley said:

“Again it continues to try to undermine and criminalize our leaders in a way that undermines the movement. We saw that with MLK when J. Edgar Hoover wrote letters telling him to commit murder, we saw that when Fred Hampton was actually assassinated by police.”

She continued:

“And so I think this is nothing new, what is interesting though is that white men continue to be the–pose the biggest threat to Americans every single day.

It’s been documented and verified that they are more likely to burn down churches, more likely to commit mass murders and mass shootings and so Jeff Sessions’ reality and his assessment on these people is both lacking in facts and both reality.”

The irony is that Burley's discussion was meant to buffer The FBI's recently released report on the rise on black "extremists" and are increasingly targeting law enforcement.

Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis Filed For Re-Election This Week

While some call Mike the Teflon Don, others look at him as the Superman of the Eastern Shore.

Charismatic is my title for Mike. He can charm just about anybody and has proven to be the perfect figure head for Wicomico County.

In my own personal opinion I find it a shame that Sheriff Lewis takes all the credit for just about everything, forgetting the men and women who are actually get things done. Heck, he even forgets us media sources for finding the very criminals they can't seem to locate.

Nevertheless, most would agree, Mike will hold this job for as long as he likes. With all the accusations hitting figure heads, media sources/reporters and politicians today, Mike simply cruises along, proving to be the much needed figure head here on the Eastern Shore.

A Viewer Writes: Bike Lanes On RT. 50

Was riding down RT.50 east last night, and noticed new bike lanes along the area that the new fence was added to keep kids from crossing the highway. So now the bikers are going to be riding out closer to traffic and the motorists are going to be trying to turn in the same space. I don't see much of a problem there, NOT! Don't know the ruling about bikes on highways, but it seems to me to be asking for trouble by enabling the bikers to ride down the highway.

There are roads in need of repair and yet $$ is spent on bike lanes on highways and fences that will not stop people from crossing the highway. I'm guessing these decisions are coming from the mayor's office? Does anybody in these departments use any common sense in making these decisions?

Still, No One Wants Him

Breaking News: Net neutrality is being repealed. The FCC decision would allow internet providers to charge consumers more and limit their content choices.

The Federal Communications Commission announced on Tuesday that it planned to dismantle landmark regulations that ensure equal access to the internet, clearing the way for companies to charge more and block access to some websites.
The proposal, put forward by the F.C.C. chairman, Ajit Pai, is a sweeping repeal of rules put in place by the Obama administration that prohibited high-speed internet service providers from blocking or slowing down the delivery websites, or charging extra fees for the best quality of streaming and other internet services for their subscribers.

Happening Today... Will She Announce She's Running Against Jim Mathias?

“I should have left them in jail."

President Trump on Sunday responded to the father of one of the UCLA basketball players detained in China on shoplifting charges after the man snubbed the president’s successful effort to get the teammates released, saying, “I should have left them in jail."

The president responded after LaVar Ball, the outspoken father of UCLA player LiAngelo Ball, downplayed Trump’s effort.

Trump said while on his recent trip to Asia, at the same time the players allegedly shoplifted in China during a basketball tournament, that he had spoken directly with Chinese President Xi Jinping about the matter.

Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 19, 2017

"Who?" LaVar Ball later told ESPN. "What was he over there for? Don't tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out."

Mayor Details Salisbury Marathon, Folk Festival Events

SALISBURY – As the Salisbury Marathon and National Folk Festival quickly approaches, officials with the City of Salisbury are asking Wicomico County for support.

Salisbury Mayor Jake Day came before the Wicomico County Council on Tuesday to present plans for two events scheduled to take place in Salisbury next year.

“We wanted to give you sort of some insight into these two rather large events coming to our community …,” he said. “We have a lot of planning ahead of us and a little bit behind us.”

On April 28, the city will host its first annual Salisbury Marathon, a 26.2-mile course that starts in the City Park and ends downtown on the Plaza.

Day said more than 200 participants have already registered for the races and proceeds will benefit Athletes Serving Athletes and Pinwheels for Protection.

From Sept. 7-9, the city will also host its first of three National Folk Festivals. The free event will feature seven stages with continuous performances, crafts, food and more.

Day said as part of the city’s agreement with the National Folk Festival, Salisbury will continue to host a festival of equal or larger size in perpetuity.

“The festival will draw between 100,000 and 200,000 attendees,” he said. “It starts on the low end and rises those three years. Then the legacy festivals often attract more people than that.”

While Day expects the festival to generate economic activity throughout the region, he said the event will come with costs.

“It is not free to put on but it is free to enter,” he said.

Months Ago, Kathy Griffin Posed With a ‘Beheaded’ Trump & Now She’s Crying About the Consequences

Girl, you make it really hard to have any sympathy for you when you literally brought this on yourself. It’s not like nobody will hire you because some jealous ex-boyfriend leaked your nudes, you did this yourself. (Also if anyone out there is listening, I want all devices containing Kathy Griffin nude photos to suddenly stop working and become unrecoverable. Amen.)

Griffin is now complaining because she doesn’t have any paid work lined up for the future. Something to do with a bloody President’s head and the people of America not standing for that kind of rhetoric. You know, stupid stuff.

People suffer big sticker shock buying Obamacare now!

In a broadcast today, Rush Limbaugh reveals a NY Times article about how a couple with two kids looked into buying health insurance. They could hardly believe when the cheapest plan was $30,000 with a $10,000 deductible for this next year. A staggering premium indicates Obamacare has already imploded.

Limbaugh goes on to also reveal the subtext of the article which is designed to bully senators into doing away with the idea to kill the Obamacare mandate in the Tax Reform set to be negotiated next week. “The article now blames Trump for this implosion... it was designed to implode!” states Limbaugh.

If you remember, even the architects of Obamacare stated earlier this year, premiums would skyrocket in order to further push the country towards a single-payer system. This system has failed miserably in many European countries and Canada before Obamacare came into existence. Furthermore, when Romney attempted to do this in Massachusetts while governor, it also failed like its European counterparts.

Did the Salisbury Fire Department Do This?

This morning on Twitter, this story has circulated like wildfires as NBC broadcast a story of giving back to the communities!

Fire Departments in other areas like Marlborough, MA, took turkeys around to indigent citizens in their towns and cities, yet we didn't hear anything like this from our local fire department. Why?

On WBOC's site, there's several stories about local churches preparing Thanksgiving Day meals for those who can't afford to buy their own. Local shelters are also featured...but where is the Salisbury Fire Department?

It used to be our local police and fire department gave back to the community at Thanksgiving/Christmas time, but now, it seems they're too engaged in other activities to be concerned about they community they supposedly serve.

Could it be our local firefighters (paid) are too busy with politics to be worried about such trivials as taking care of the community that pays them? Could it be they are too good to mix with us common folk?

My grandmother always used to tell me that it's not about what people say but what they do that shows their true character. I guess after all the machinations of last summer and their lack of giving during this holiday season thus far, we now know the true colors of our local fire department, don't we?

A Viewer Writes: Social Security and Your Money

By: Alan R. Bowmaster

Like most of you, I have been paying into Social Security ever since I started working. For me that was at the age of fourteen. I am 59 now and that means, they have been taking a portion of my income for forty-four years. If you are so inclined, you can figure out exactly what you have paid I over the years. I have looked at mine and I started paying in since 1973.

I personally have paid Forty, three thousand dollars with an equal contribution form my employers. If you ad interest to that for forty-four years, it is not a bad chunk of change. And many of us want to know where that money is, and we all know that congress has decided that they could spend some of that money supporting “non-citizens” however you are not supposed to know this.

Guess what you are supporting “non-citizens” and if that were not the case why would they require the following provision and I quote.

“In most cases, we stop payments to noncitizens after they are outside the United States for six calendar months in a row. If we stop your payments, we will not start them again until you return to the United States and remain for a full calendar month. We may
continue to pay benefits to noncitizens outside of the United States if they meet certain conditions.

Additionally, if you are in an SSA-restricted country, we can only send payment to you under restricted conditions if you qualify for an exception. Use our Payments Abroad Screening Tool to find out if you can continue to get benefits while outside the United States.”

I copied that provision directly from the Social Security web site, it took less than three minutes to find it. Now if the “non-citizen” put nothing in, why are they collecting anything at all.

Who decided to give your money away to people that never paid in a dime? And if this is not enough to infuriate you perhaps this is, again I have taken this directly from the Social Security Website.

Many noncitizens living in the U.S. can get Social Security benefits

Being a U.S. citizen isn't a requirement for receiving Social Security. According to the Social Security Administration, noncitizens who are "lawfully in the United States and meet all eligibility requirements" can get benefits. That includes not only those admitted for permanent residence under the Immigration and Nationality Act, but also those who qualify under provisions for family unity and for immediate relatives to live within the U.S. as well.

Even noncitizens who leave the U.S. can still get Social Security benefits under certain circumstances

Typically, the SSA stops making payments to noncitizens after they have remained outside the U.S. for six months in a row. In order to restart those payments, though, all you have to do is return to the U.S. for a full calendar month.

Moreover, the U.S. has international agreements with a number of countries under which noncitizens can keep getting Social Security even if they live abroad permanently. Most of the countries covered under those provisions are in Europe, but others include Australia, Canada, Japan, Chile, and South Korea. For more information on particular countries, take a look at this SSA website for specifics.

As for me, I have had some very serious health issues as of late, and I have been treated like a thief by the Social Security Administration. They are late, on a regular basis. Deductions taken out long before you are notified. They decide how much money you need to live on. And without missing a beat will tell you to sell any assets “they”
consider to be non-essential.

It is time to stand up to a system that considers us inconsequential and we pay them to do this. Remember, of the people by the people and for the people.

Are you pissed yet? If so and I hope you are, contact your congressman and Local Senator, this must stop.
