2020 Great Pocomoke Fair Cancelled

Now We'll See How the Snowflakes Handle the Barbarians

“The torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans,” President John F. Kennedy said at his inaugural in 1961. Today, this generation is passing that torch to invite a new generation of barbarians to burn and loot and pillage, not serve and protect.

The modern urban mayor is epitomized by Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who has chosen not to crack down on the barbarians torching his city, but encourages them to keep the flames hot because “The symbolism of a building cannot outweigh the importance of life.” That laughable, sophomoric statement isn’t going to save anyone or any structure.

That building is not a “symbol.” It has value to the person who owns it. And that’s the problem with Frey and the generation of snowflakes who are moving into positions of power and responsibility. Quite simply, they don’t believe in private property. In fact, they see private property as a genuine evil. So, of course, it doesn’t matter if you burn it. It’s not worth protecting.

We saw this same attitude in Baltimore in 2015 when Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake expressed the notion that protesters should be given space to destroy.

Lil Wayne On Floyd Death: Stop Blaming Entire Police Force, Entire Race; There Are ‘A Bunch Of Facts We Think We Know That We Don’t Know’

Reacting to the death of George Floyd, rapper Lil Wayne said Friday that folks need to be “very specific” when reacting to perceived injustices, warning not to blame the “entire force” or an “entire race.”

Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., noted that he’s unimpressed by “hashtag” and “t-shirt” activism if you don’t actually help the person you’re claiming to get justice for.

The rapper also implored activists to “know” what they’re “protesting about” before they advocate a cause. “It’s a bunch of facts that we think we know that we don’t know,” he said.

“I think when we see these situations, I think we also have to understand that we have to get very specific,” Wayne told rapper Fat Joe via Instagram Live, according to Rap Up. “We have to get so specific and what I mean by that, we have to stop viewing it from such a broad view, meaning we have to stop placing the blame on the whole force and the whole everybody of a certain race or everybody with a badge.”

“We have to get into who that person is,” he continued. “If we want to place the blame on anybody, it should be ourselves for not doing more than what we think we’re doing.”

If The Local Media Had Any Stones They'd Award This Couple Business People Of The Year

The Roskovich Family never gave up. Against ALL ODDS they never slowed down, cutting us off at the knees and shutting all bars and restaurants down.

While we all fought back, Pete and his Family self marketed through social media and the community came forward and supported their business through carry out.

Most people today would've given up. Being a part of this experience I've watched so many bar and restaurant owners come together with outside dining in so many creative ways. Even though the income was extremely minimal, these bars and restaurants were forced to make even more serious investments for outside tables, chairs, lighting, you name it.

Support your local bars and restaurants. Go see what the Roskovich Family did at Adams Ribs and Black Diamond in Fruitland. In fact, visit EVO, Rodie Joe's, Market Street Inn, they could all use the support.

Thanks for setting the bar Roskovich Family. You've set the perfect example of how American's should act and how we can and will survive against all odds. For that you deserve Business People of the Year.

Just Like That

Why All-Mail Elections Are Too Risky and Unwarranted

The push in Congress and in many states to force an all-mail national election in November and in the remaining state primaries is both unwise and unnecessary.

It is unwise because absentee or mail-in ballots are voted outside the supervision and overview of election officials—thus destroying the secret ballot, an important hallmark of American elections for more than a century. They are susceptible to being stolen, altered, and forced. They can lead to the intimidation and improper pressuring of voters in their homes.

And let’s not overlook the errant vulnerabilities and vagaries of being misdirected or not delivered by the postal system.

Finally, vote-harvesting in states that have legalized it—allowing candidates, campaign workers, party activists, and political consultants who have a stake in the outcome to pick up absentee ballots from voters—dramatically increases the likelihood of fraud and illegal “assistance” of voters.

Rioters Destroy Bar That Black Minneapolis Firefighter Bought with His Life Savings

Rioters protesting the death of Minneapolis resident George Floyd, an African-American man who died after being arrested and pinned to the ground by officer Derek Chauvin, destroyed a bar owned by a black former firefighter Wednesday night.

Korboi Balla had invested his life savings in the bar and was planning to open it before the coronavirus pandemic caused mass business closures. Balla then moved the opening date to June 1, when Minnesota plans to lift restrictions on restaurants, but the bar has since been wracked and looted in the riots, CBS first reported.

CBS was filming a segment at the bar when looters entered through the back of the establishment to try to steal Balla’s safe.

“I don’t know what we’re going to do,” Balla said in an interview. “It hurts, man. It’s not fair, it’s not right. We’ve been working so hard for this place. It’s not just for me, it’s for my family.”

Balla’s wife Tywanna said that the bar was not insured.

“Yes people are mad and upset, I get that and I understand the protest, I’m hearing people say F*** the business they have insurance WELL WE DON’T AND THIS IS ALL OUT OF POCKET!!!” Tywanna wrote in a Facebook post. “Let someone come run in your home and loot for the cause then and let’s see you be ok with it!”

Delaware News Station, (WBOC) Threatens to Have GOP Congressional Candidate Arrested for Press Conference

Delaware news station WBOC has threatened to have America First congressional candidate Lauren Witzke arrested if she held a press conference in front of their station.

Witzke, who is running on a net zero immigration moratorium and putting Americans First, has been supporting the owner of the V Spa, which received a cease and desist notice from the state for planning to reopen in protest of the shut down order.

“Governor Carney’s excessive COVID-19 lockdowns have reached a boiling point today,” Witzke told the Gateway Pundit. “Not is he preventing small business owners from putting food on the table for their families, but now he’s clearly violated the First Amendment in threatening to arrest and fine peaceful protesters. My opponent Chris Coons is silent as our rights are being trampled.”

Robin Roberts Will Run For Wicomico County Council District 3

Well, I have given this a lot of thought, In the last two weeks I have attempted to contact Larry Dodd who represents the district we live in at least 3 times, AND my wife has attempted to contact him in the past with NO Response. The last time I checked he works for ALL of the Wicomico County taxpayers.

He does not have an issue posting when his children come to see him or don't, and letting all on Social Media when he goes to the hospital or is sick. BUT can't or Won't call a taxpayer back, one who I might add has known him for 30 + years. We will not attempt to contact the President of the Wicomico County Council again.

This brings me to what I have given a lot of thought to and here it is. I WILL be running for the Wicomico County Council District 3 in the next election. I am a lifelong resident of Wicomico County and served as a Law Enforcement Officer in Wicomico County and the State of Maryland for 30 years, Retiring as a Lieutenant with the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office after 26 + years of service.

The citizens of Wicomico County deserve a representative who WILL be available to them to answer their concerns and NOT put them off because it does not fit their personal agenda .

Death Of Talbot Co. Man Who Fled Traffic Stop And Was Later Found In Distress Under Investigation

(CAMBRIDGE, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating the death of a Talbot County man who ran from a traffic stop this afternoon and when he was later found one-half mile away was transported to the hospital where he later died.

The man is identified as Larry D. Ross, Jr., 37, of Easton, Md. He was pronounced deceased at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester.

Maryland State Police Homicide Unit investigators are conducting the investigation. They are being assisted by the State Police from the Criminal Enforcement Division and Forensic Sciences Division, was well as personnel from the Cambridge Police Department, Dorchester County State’s Attorney and the Dorchester County Drug Task Force.

This afternoon, members of a combined law enforcement team were working a drug enforcement initiative in the Cambridge area due to ten overdose deaths in the county so far this year, compared to seven for all of 2019. There have been 34 documented non-fatal overdoses. The region has been identified as a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area.

The preliminary investigation indicates that during the initiative, shortly after 1:00 p.m., a Maryland state trooper in uniform and in an unmarked patrol vehicle, stopped a 2002 Audi for failure to stay right of center and an equipment violation on Rt. 16, south of Chesapeake Street in Cambridge. As soon as the car stopped, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, immediately ran from the car and behind several houses in the area.

When the man disappeared behind the houses, the trooper lost sight of him and did not pursue. He returned to his car to alert other officers in the area about what had happened.

Several minutes later, a motorist drove by the location of the traffic stop and asked if they were looking for an individual who matched the description of the man seen running from the car. The motorist said he had seen the man running through a field toward the area of Race Street.

Paul Craig Roberts Questions The Campaign Against HCQ

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought out many disturbing features of our society. Misinformation, or perhaps more accurately, disinformation, abounds in the service of agendas ranging from those who interpret the virus as a useful ploy for the construction of a police state, to Big Pharma and its allies who are moving us toward mass vaccinations, to the narcissistic views of those who would sacrifice the elderly and ill rather than to be inconvenienced by being denied access to bars and beaches. Every aspect of the pandemic, including Trump’s own use of HCQ, is being used against the President of the United States.

At a time when accurate information is essential, the waters are instead muddied by disinformation in the service of political, ideological, and profit agendas. The irresponsibility of those putting their self-interests first is extraordinary. It indicates that the social bond between people that made America a country has been dissolved by greed, multiculturalism, and Identity Politics. America has become a country without a common interest. It is a narcissistic state.

This article is limited to the campaign against HCQ. HCQ—hydroxychloroquine—has been in use for 65 years for the prevention or treatment of malaria, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis. It is officially labeled a safe drug. Many doctors treating Covid patients have found and reported HCQ, when used early enough together with zinc and the antibiotic azithromycin to be an effective and safe treatment.

I have reported and made available many of the reports of HCQ’s efficacy and safety. See for example:

Check out this absurd email Twitter just sent us

Dear 1600 Daily subscribers,

We are forwarding you this email that the White House just received from Twitter. It’s so absurd, we just had to share it with you.

This morning, the White House Twitter account reposted text from a tweet sent by President Trump. A short time later, Twitter censored the tweet, claiming it violated Twitter Rules about “glorifying violence.”

That is completely false. As the President just explained again, his tweet was CONDEMING violence and pledging federal support to keep Minnesotans safe.

The email we just received, presumably sent by a different team within Twitter, admits that the very tweet they are censoring does not violate any Twitter Rules.

Yet the tweet is still censored.

Twitter’s own staff just made this much clear: Twitter is a publisher with an editorial viewpoint, NOT a platform.

Subject: Governor Hogan Announces Maryland’s Positivity Rate Drops to 11.6%, Lowest Level Since March 29

Total COVID Hospitalizations in Maryland Fall to Lowest Level in More Than Six WeeksMaryland’s Positivity Rate Down Nearly 57% Since Its Peak; Montgomery and Prince George’s Trends Match Statewide Decline1,686 COVID-19 Tests at Six Flags, Record High for State SitesMore Than 3,000 Tests at State Sites in Prince George’s County Over The Last Week
ANNAPOLIS, MDGovernor Larry Hogan today announced that Maryland’s COVID-19 positivity rate has dropped to 11.6%its lowest level in more than two monthsand current total hospitalizations have fallen to their lowest level in more than six weeks.

The governor also announced today that the state conducted 1,686 COVID-19 tests at Six Flags America on Friday—a record high for the state’s community-based sites.

“We started our first major testing site at FedEx Field in March with 100 tests, and since then, have increased our capacity exponentially in order to test hundreds of Marylanders in a matter of hours with no medical referral required,” said Governor Hogan. “We are encouraged to see so many residents take advantage of our new Six Flags testing site, and even more encouraged that as our long-term testing strategy progresses, our statewide positivity rate has fallen to its lowest level in more than two months and COVID-19 hospitalizations are at a six-week low.”

Maryland’s Positivity Rate Drops to Lowest Level Since March 29. Maryland has now conducted 339,361 COVID-19 tests, including 10,845 tests over the last 24 hours. The state’s positivity rate peaked on April 17, when it reached 26.91%. Since then, it has dropped by nearly 57%, down to 11.6% statewide—its lowest level since March 29, when the statewide positivity rate was 11.3%.
The positivity rate in Baltimore City is down more than 60%, from a high of 27.38% on April 19, to 10.9% today. Baltimore County is at 11.2%, Frederick County is at 9.7%, and Howard County is at 8.8%all below the state average.

Maryland to beef up contact tracing operation. Make sure you answer your phone.

Marylanders might soon receive phone calls from “MD COVID," and though it may be tempting to let it ring, the state’s reopening and recovery could depend on enough people answering.

The state has hired about 1,400 contact tracers tasked with tracking down those who have been exposed to the coronavirus as part of its plan to move the state toward a safe and complete reopening.

Gov. Larry Hogan has said, for weeks, that the state must deploy thousands of contact tracers to slow the spread of COVID-19, which has infected over 43,000 residents and killed more than 2,000 in Maryland. The contagious upper respiratory disease has wreaked havoc across the world, sickening millions and slowing the global economy.

In an attempt to move Maryland’s progress forward, the state has increased its contact tracing operation more than fivefold, according to a Thursday news release, though it was not immediately clear how many employees would work for the state and how many would carry out their duties from within local health departments.

The Folly of Twitter's Fact Check

No American, not even the president, has an inherent right to a social media account. Tech companies are free to ban any user they see fit.

They’re free to fact-check anyone they want, to create a framework of acceptable speech, and to enforce their policies either consistently or capriciously. They’re free to accuse Donald Trump—and only Trump, if they see fit—of being a liar. They’re free to do all of these things.

Even if they shouldn’t.

Yesterday, after years of pressure from media and Democrats, Twitter labeled two of Trump’s tweets—in which he had claimed that the use of mail-in ballots for large numbers of people would be “substantially fraudulent” and result in a “rigged election”—as “potentially misleading.”

Exposed: 'Fascinating' alliance between China, Mexican drug cartels

Massive amounts of precursor chemicals coming from China are being used to supply super-labs in Mexico for the production of methamphetamines and more – and America is being harmed in the process.

OneNewsNow spoke to a former head of the Special Operations Division (SOD) of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) about the global drug trade, which uses precursor chemicals in illegally manufacturing narcotics and psychoactive substances. According to Derek Maltz, China's participation in the global drug crisis an "underreported story" and that "it's been going on for years and the average person doesn't even realize it."

However, he does acknowledge that in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the DEA "did an amazing job cutting off the ability for 'mom and pop' labs [in the U.S.] to produce meth." During that period, importation of precursor chemicals into the U.S. to produce meth was targeted with great success.

As a result, the former DEA executive says, drug-dealing "kingpins" like Chapo Guzmán and others recognized the U.S. success as "a golden opportunity to make a killing — so … they started bringing in massive quantities of precursor chemicals from China and other countries in Asia."

The Unacceptably Unjust Death of George Floyd

The tragic death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer has circulated all over social media in the past two days. It is exceptionally difficult to watch.

The facts leading up to what the video captures have been recounted by numerous media outlets.

Minneapolis police officers arrived Monday evening to arrest Floyd, 46, on suspicion that he had committed forgery. Police said the officers ordered him out of his car, but he physically resisted them.

By the time a bystander begins to record the video, Floyd is handcuffed, face down on the asphalt, and Officer Derek Chauvin is driving a knee into Floyd’s neck with what often appears to be his full body weight.

Restaurants say socially distant dining rooms could wipe out business

Owners pare staff, calculate how long they can last as officials restrict seating to contain coronavirus
Restaurants that built their businesses on keeping seats full are trying to figure out how to run at a fraction of that capacity.

Across the U.S., dining rooms are reopening and some customers are returning, industry data shows. But restaurants say they expect months of sales losses ahead due to capacity constraints imposed to contain the new coronavirus. They are also buying plexiglass walls to separate tables, hiring cleaning staff and turning fewer tables to give booths deeper scrub downs between customers, expenses that draw on a shallower pool of revenue.

"This business model is fundamentally altered," said John Cywinski, president of Applebee's, which was on the path to opening new stores for the first time in years before the crisis hit. Across the restaurant industry, he said, "There will be a likely contraction as a result of this."

Donald Trump: Twitter Censors ‘Doing Nothing’ to Stop China and Democrat ‘Lies and Propaganda’

President Donald Trump on Friday again criticized Twitter, after the social media platform censored one of his tweets.

Trump once more accused the company of bias, after signing an executive order on Thursday, warning them of further regulation.

“Twitter is doing nothing about all of the lies & propaganda being put out by China or the Radical Left Democrat Party,” he wrote. “They have targeted Republicans, Conservatives and the President of the United States.”

Trump said social media platforms should lose their Section 230 protections under the Communications Decency Act arguing they were no longer a neutral public platform.

“Section 230 should be revoked by Congress,” he wrote. “Until then, it will be regulated!”

Trump cited a comment from Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo that Trump was being “targeted” by Twitter.
