The Tiny Town In Maryland That’s The Blue Crab Capital Of The World

Wisconsin is known for cheese. Georgia is known for peaches. And Maryland? Well, that’s a no-brainer. Maryland has been dubbed the blue crab capital of the US. While there are hundreds of places all over the state where you can order this delectable delicacy, no one does it better than Crisfield. Read on to see why this tiny water town is the blue crab capital of the world.

The town of Crisfield is filled with scenic views and most importantly, fishermen.

The main catches here are oysters and blue crabs. As soon as crab season strikes, fishermen take to the water from morning to night, to collect hundreds of blue crabs.

Emmanuel Macron Pledges to Unite France as He Is Sworn In as President

PARIS — Emmanuel Macron pledged to unite France as he was sworn in as president Sunday, becoming the country's youngest leader since Napoleon Bonaparte.

"The division and fractures in our society must be overcome," the 39-year-old former investment banker said. "The world and Europe needs France more than ever."

Macron was handed the keys to the country and the nuclear codes by predecessor Francois Hollande in an inauguration ceremony at the Elysee presidential palace in Paris.

The independent centrist won a resounding victory last week against far-right candidate Marine Le Pen to become the eighth president of France's fifth republic.

The political newcomer has never before held elected office and only formed his political movement a year ago.

Anheuser-Busch will Invest $2 Billion in US

The maker of Budweiser, facing more competition in America from craft brews and cocktails, is spending billions to fight back.

Anheuser-Busch InBev NV will devote $2 billion in U.S. capital spending to bolstering its flagship brands and improving distribution. The money also will help support the company’s forays into “near beer,” alcoholic sparkling water, and other products -- like tea -- that are far afield from its original mission.

The investment, which extends through 2020, is a bet that Anheuser-Busch can push into new categories without neglecting its core business: traditional beer brands. Striking that balance will be key to the company’s future, Anheuser-Busch Chief Executive Officer Joao Castro Neves said in an interview.

Hard Drugs increase on Texas Border

SOUTH TEXAS – US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) components have seen a significant increase in cocaine and heroin seizures throughout the region this year. From Del Rio to Brownsville, Border Patrol agents and Customs and Border Protection officers are interdicting hard drugs at our ports and checkpoints.

The South Texas Corridor (STC) has seen a 177% increase in heroin and 129% increase in cocaine seized by agents and officers in the field. The increase in illicit drug activity comes at a time when apprehensions have declined in recent months.

As evident in recent seizures, smugglers are utilizing a variety of tactics to smuggle the contraband past law enforcement. Smugglers have been caught with drugs hidden in vehicle gas tanks, manufactured compartments, propane tanks, shipments of fruit and vegetables, stuffed in personal belongings, bags of candy, and even transported methamphetamine in liquid form inside milk and juice cartons.

North Korea Rattled by Commando-Carrying Guided Missile Sub

Conspicuous in this photo of the fast-attack submarine USS Dallas (SSN-700) is the Dry Deck Shelter, a deck-mounted cylindrical form aft of the sail that gives the submarine the capability to launch and recover special operations forces. The shelter can house a SEAL Delivery Vehicle, a complement of rubber raiding craft, or other gear. Dallas was the first Los-Angeles-class submarine to carry such a device, which also has been outfitted to Ohio-class ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) like the USS Michigan. (U.S. Navy photo)
The North Korean regime headed by Kim Jong-Un seems rattled by the presence of the USS Michigan near the Korean peninsula.

The former doomsday “boomer” was once loaded with Trident nuclear ballistic missiles but has since gone retro for a more conventional role, including the transport of elite American commandos in the form of Navy SEALs.

“The moment the USS Michigan tries to budge even a little, it will be doomed to face the miserable fate of becoming an underwater ghost without being able to come to the surface,” the North’s propaganda website Uriminzokkiri said.

That was how the North greeted the arrival of the 560-foot, Ohio-class Michigan at the South Korean port of Busan on April 25 — the anniversary date of the founding of North Korea’s army.

Naval Officer's Career Derailed by Arrogance, Recklessness

NORFOLK, Va. -- When federal agents stopped Lt. Cmdr. Edward C. Lin in the Honolulu airport on Sept. 11, 2015, he was about to board a plane to China to meet a woman with whom he had been communicating online since April.

But Lin, 40, who held a top secret security clearance and was assigned to a secretive Hawaii-based patrol squadron at the time, had lied to the Navyabout where he was going. Instead, he had told his command he planned to spend 10 days in Alexandria -- where he had previously lived while assigned as a staff aide to an assistant secretary of the Navy -- because telling his leadership he was going to Virginia rather than the communist adversary required a less rigorous approval process.

That wasn't the naval flight officer's first misstep, but it was one of many detailed Thursday during a daylong court-martial at Naval Station Norfolk as Lin -- who immigrated to the U.S. from Taiwan in 1994 and who joined the Navy in 1999 -- pleaded guilty to charges that cast him less like a government spy and more as an officer with a number of foreign friends whose career derailed under his own recklessness and arrogance.

Proposed Boardwalk Cottage Improvements Spark Room Tax Debate

OCEAN CITY — A seemingly innocuous request for upgrades and other costs at the Boardwalk information cottage last week touched off the larger debate about funding more city expenses through a portion of the room tax dedicated to tourism marketing.

At last Tuesday’s meeting, the Mayor and Council had before them a request for funding needed for the Boardwalk information cottage, an overgrown kiosk of sorts where volunteers and some paid employees dispense information to tourists on a wide variety of questions about Ocean City and its special events, for example. The request from the Downtown Association includes $250 for phone and Internet service, along with $5,000 for staffing to supplement the volunteers that man the booth during the summer. The cottage is largely manned by volunteers, including some councilmembers, but some paid part-timers are needed to fill the void at times.

In addition, the Downtown Association was seeking roughly $2,000 for upgrades to the Boardwalk cottage including carpet replacement, window replacements and other aesthetic improvements. The council ultimately approved the funding requests, but not before a continued debate on where some expenditures should be appropriately placed in the budget and which costs should be absorbed by the portion of the room tax dedicated to tourism.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Grassley confirms Trump NOT under FBI investigation

On Thursday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley confirmed President Donald Trump’s statement that he was not being investigated by the FBI, contrary to what many democrats and mainstream media reporters have said.

In Trump’s letter announcing the firing of FBI Director James Comey, he wrote: “I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation.”

At an executive meeting, Grassley reinforced what Trump wrote, telling committee members that he and Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein had met with FBI Director Comey last week, who briefed the two senators on who the actual targets of the investigations are.

From Breitbart:

“Senator Feinstein and I heard nothing that contradicted the President’s statement,” he said. Feinstein then said after Grassley’s statement, “I very much appreciate what you’ve said and it’s very accurate, and we were briefed.”

Grassley said that, shortly after Comey had briefed them, he had tweeted that the then-FBI director should be more transparent. “I said he should tell the public what he told Senator Feinstein and me about whether the FBI is or is not investigating the President,” he said.

Marines' Cold Weather Gear Faces Overhaul After Poor Showing in Arctic - Kit Up!

U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force-Europe conduct a live-fire range in preparation for Exercise Joint Viking, in Porsangmoen, Norway, on March 1, 2017. Many Marines found their cold-weather gear coming up short during the deployment. Sgt. Patricia A. Morris/Marine Corps
VAERNES GARRISON, Norway — A hump through the snow-covered sub-freezing moonscape of the Arctic is the wrong time to find out your boots won’t stay latched into your skis.

But that’s what happened to many troops from Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines, as they completed an extended stretch of cold-weather training in Porsangermoen, nearly 1,000 miles north of their headquarters position here at Vaernes.

During this first deployment for Marine Rotational Force-Europe, troops spent weeks training and operating in gear they described as badly in need of an overhaul: inflexible zippers, seams that separated and tore, pack frames that snapped, and boots that pulled loose from ski fastenings over and over.

While none of this gear is new — it’s routinely used by Marines during mountain warfare training at Bridgeport, California, and in previous shorter cold weather exercises — it faces perhaps its most difficult test during this deployment.

Cumberland, Maryland is 2nd-cheapest housing market in U.S.

WASHINGTON — D.C. is one of the most expensive housing markets in the country, but just a two-hour drive away is one of the least expensive.

The National Association of Realtors says the median price of a home that sold in Cumberland, Maryland, in the first quarter was just $81,800, making Cumberland the second-most affordable market for homebuyers in the nation, ahead of only Youngstown, Ohio, with a first quarter median price of $79,200.

Cumberland also saw one of the largest year-over-year gains in median selling prices in the first quarter, up 21.4 percent from the first quarter of 2016.

In addition to Youngstown and Cumberland, the rest of the five least-expensive housing markets in the country in the first quarter were Decatur, Illinois, Elmira, New York, and Binghamton, New York.

Rand Paul: Another Senator Was Surveilled by the Obama Administration

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) earlier this week revealed that another senator had told him that he was surveilled by the Obama administration.

“I know one other senator who’s already confided to me that he was surveilled by the Obama administration, including his phone calls,” he told Fox News on Wednesday.

“So when this all comes out, if there are political figures from the opposition party, it’s a story bigger than any of the allegations with regard to Russian collusion,” he said.

Earlier this month, Paul announced that sources have told him that he has been surveilled by the Obama administration, and that he has requested information from the White House and the congressional intelligence committees on whether he has ever been surveilled, unmasked, or searched for in intelligence reports.

“It’s about your own government spying on the opposition party, that would be enormous if true,” he said.

Maryland Free Fishing Days Set June and July

Unique Opportunity to Learn or Rediscover the Sport

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources invites residents to participate in the state’s three, free fishing days in 2017: June 3, June 10 and July 4.

They provide a unique opportunity to fish the state’s waters without obtaining a fishing license, stamp or registration.

“Maryland has a wealth of public fishing waters, where anglers can catch anything from cold-water trout and striped bass to tasty white perch and more than 60 other species,” Fishing and Boating Services Director David Blazer said. “Free fishing days are a great way for any Marylander to learn or rediscover the sport.”

Anglers must adhere to size and catch limits. Convenient fishing spots can be located on the department’s free mobile app and the Angler’s Access map.

There are nearly two dozen License-Free Fishing Areas located throughout the state, where anglers can access prime fishing areas with a free angler registration. Any angler under the age of 16 is not required to have a fishing license.

Is your husband your child or your partner?

I received an email recently from wife and mother who’d heard about my new book, "The Alpha Female’s Guide to Men & Marriage," which helps women who are used to being in charge learn how to be better wives. Here’s what she had to say:

“I must confess you have described not only me but many women I interact with on a daily basis. I think as teachers we easily fall into this trap after hours of controlling a classroom. A memorable quote from my husband early on was, ‘Don’t talk to me like I’m one of your students.’”

It’s an all-too-common scenario that we rarely talk about. Many women, once they have children, go into mother mode and don’t come out. Somewhere along the line, they stop being, well, a wife, and start mothering their husbands instead.

It’s not usually intentional—sometimes it’s learned behavior: they’re mimicking what their own mothers did—but it’s never a good thing. Men hate to be told what to do. In fact, a man’s reaction to being told what to do by his wife is to do the exact opposite.

If that sounds childish, you’re right. It is. But if you stop mothering your husband, he’ll stop responding like a child.

Here are 3 tips to help you move out of mother mode and into wife

Save Tim Allen's Show "Last Man Standing"

Despite consistently high rankings, especially considering the time slot in which it is aired, Tim Allen's show "Last Man Standing" has been cancelled by the network on which it is aired, ABC.

Last Man Standing stands out in the sea of network television sitcoms. It is a show that appeals to a broad swath of Americans who find very few shows that extol the virtues with which they can identify; namely conservative values.

Last Man Standing was not just selling conservative ideals though, as some of the characters in the show are clearly of the liberal persuasion, yet the characters on the show all manage to get along and take care of one another, despite their politically opposed views. The show is about more than politics though, it is about family. In fact, politics is only a secondary part of the show, but one in which many Americans can readily identify.

James Comey firing shows he was a lousy politician

It’s a carnival, and there’s a monster on the midway

James Comey is a good lawyer. He was a good judge. Everyone says so, so it must be true. But he’s a lousy politician, and he grew too big for his britches. He forgot who he was, and paid dearly.

He’s a lot like the man who sacked him. Both Judge Comey and President Trump sometimes think they know more than they actually do, and both need someone close at hand, a daughter or a wife, to tell them not to say and do foolish things. Above all, both of them talk too much. One of them even tweets too much.

They both think the other is nuts. Mr. Comey, according to The Hill, the Capitol Hill political daily, told colleagues as early as March, two months into the Trump presidency, that the president was “crazy” for suggesting that Barack Obama had wiretapped him in the waning days of the Obama era. Actually, Mr. Trump had never used the word “wiretap,” but the word has been used so often in the media that he might as well have. There’s lots of fake facts floating around Washington.

Then, according to The New York Times, he told associates that the president was acting “outside the realm of normal.” For his part, the president told his aides that “something was wrong with Comey” two days before he sacked him. But everybody in town is a little bit crazy, or no one would survive.

Harry Truman Defies State Department, Recognizes Israel

On May 14, 1948, U.S. President Harry Truman recognized the newly-declared State of Israel — over the vehement objections of the State Department, which was partial to the Arab states and lacked confidence that the Jewish state could defend itself.

Truman declared:

"This Government has been informed that a Jewish state has been proclaimed in Palestine, and recognition has been requested by the provisional Government thereof.

"The United States recognizes the provisional government as the de facto authority of the new State of Israel."

Truman’s brief telegram was an act of immense political courage.

For months, his leading foreign policy advisers, including Secretary of State George C. Marshall, had been urging him not to recognize Israel, but rather to consider a prolonged “trusteeship” of Palestine after the British Mandate had expired.

In brazen tactics reminiscent of the “deep state” methods being used by the federal bureaucracy against President Donald Trump today, the State Department even tried to tie Truman’s hands.

As one of his advisers, Clark Clifford, later recalled:

Leftist Ideology's Greatest Threat: Guilt-Free Americans

“In the last 50 years of culture wars in America, there has been no stronger weapon than guilt. It is the Left’s great hammer of progress.” —Mark Bauerlein, Professor of English at Emory University

In an insightful column for American Greatness, Bauerlein nails the Left’s fundamental reason for despising Donald Trump. “He has no white guilt. He doesn’t feel any male guilt, either, or American guilt or Christian guilt,” Bauerlein explains. “He talks about the United States with uncritical approval — ‘America First’ — and that’s a thought crime in the eyes of liberals.”

That particular thought crime roils leftists most, because it is the antithesis of Barack Obama’s eight-year effort to “fundamentally transform the United States of America” into a nation where collective guilt would supplant American exceptionalism as society’s prevailing ethos. “Donald Trump would never refer to America as beset by the original sin of racism, as Barack Obama did frequently, and that makes him worse than a conservative,” Bauerlein writes. “President Trump is a bigot.”

Is there a drum the Left beats louder than the assertion America is an inherently racist nation?

Gingrich: Trump Team 'Sucked Into Dancing With the Elite Media’

Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich discussed the possibility of the Trump administration doing away with the daily press briefing, an idea floated by President Donald Trump in an interview set to air Saturday night with the network’s Jeanine Pirro.

Gingrich offered his idea of what could be put in place of the press briefing and warned against getting sucked into “dancing with the elite media,” which he likened to “dancing on the quicksand of the swamp.”

“[M]y point would be this — one of them ought to go in every day, and give out the list of things that have been done, maybe introduce a cabinet officer or a sub-cabinet officer or somebody who’s done something positive,” Gingrich said. “They should take the country through all the positive things they’re doing, and then leave, but not have the press corps there, simply give a briefing.."

Kris Kobach: ACLU's Discrimination Claims 'Bizarre'

The American Civil Liberties Union is on a "bizarre" mission to crush voter identification laws using the "implausible" claim they are discriminatory, Kris Kobach, the newly appointed co-chairman of President Donald Trump's Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, tells Newsmax TV.

"The ACLU is just determined that proof of citizenship must die. They do not want states asking people to prove that they are U.S. citizens when they check a box on the voter registration forms saying they're U.S. citizens," Kobach, Kansas's secretary of state, said Monday to Newsmax's Steve Malzberg.

"Some people … make what I think is an implausible claim that a person's skin color affects his ability to reach into his wallet and pull out a driver's license or to go to a government agency and get a free government ID."

"It's bizarre how crazy some people on the left side of the spectrum get when you start talking about voter fraud."

Violence And Intimidation Against Republicans Are Becoming The New Normal

Violence and intimidation against Republicans are quickly becoming the new normal in an increasingly tense political climate.

In one of the most recent incidents, police in Tennessee charged a woman with felony reckless endangerment on Thursday for allegedly trying to run Republican Congressman David Kustoff off the road after a town hall. The woman, Wendi Wright, was reportedly enraged over Kustoff’s support for the American Health Care Act and screamed at the congressman and his aide, striking his car windows and reaching inside the vehicle.

The same day that Tennessee police charged Wright for reckless endangerment, police in North Dakota escorted an enraged man from another town hall after he became physical with Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer over his support for the GOP Obamacare replacement. “Will the rich benefit from, if the health care is destroyed, do the rich get a tax break? Yes or no?” the man shouted, before shoving cash down the congressman’s collar. “There you go, take it.”

CNN’s Poppy Harlow downplayed the incident, saying the man was “showing his disgust” with Cramer.

Breakdown Of The Democrats' 'Big Lie' On Russian Collusion

Scholar Victor Davis Hanson says there’s a “big lie” surrounding the “boogeyman of Russian collusion” that Democrats and the media rally around, according to an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Hanson’s analysis begins by reminding us of the recent massive Democratic losses, which he places at the feet of President Barack Obama’s policies and identity politics gone awry. “The blue wall crumbled,” he says, turning working people against the Democrats in droves. The party then scrambled for any alternative to explain the electoral defeats.

He mentions the financial entanglements with President Vladimir Putin’s Russia by Former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton that betray the sudden growing Russiaphobia of most Democrats.

IRS execs: Our lives at risk in tea party case

Details about tea party bias claims against the IRS could remain secret because current and former agency officials say their lives are in danger if they publicly testify about the case.

Lois Lerner and Holly Paz both have argued in recent court filings that the threat to their lives outweighs the public's right to hear their testimony about how IRS employees in Cincinnati and Washington D.C. handled applications for tax-exempt status from tea party groups.

They recently filed evidence to support their claim under seal in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati. Though that evidence has not been made public, court records indicate it relates to death threats and other harassment the women say they endured after their names were connected to the bias claims against the IRS several years ago.

"This documentation, as the court will see, makes very personal references and contains graphic, profane and disturbing language that would lead to unnecessary intrusion and embarrassment if made public," their attorneys argued in a recent court brief. "Public dissemination of their deposition testimony would put their lives in serious jeopardy."

Attorneys for the tea party groups suing the IRS say the argument against full disclosure doesn't hold up. They asked the court Wednesday to make the IRS officials' testimony public and to also open a May 19 hearing to the public.

Liberal Professors Trade Secret Emails in Effort to Undermine Trump Commission

A leaked email obtained by the Washington Free Beacon shows a proposal floated by members of the a prominent left-wing professor's email listserv to form an academic commission to counter President Trump's voter fraud commission.

Trump signed an executive order on Thursday to establish a commission to investigate voter fraud in the United States. Vice President Mike Pence and Kansas Secretary of state Kris Kobach will lead the new body, which will "study the systematic issues that have been raised over many years in terms of the integrity of the elections."

Shortly after the announcement, Rutgers University Professor Lorraine Minnite emailed UC Irvine Law School Chancellor Rick Hasen's email listserv in an effort to enroll members to "resist" Trump's commission, according to an email provided to the Free Beacon.

"To members of this listserve [sic], especially the academics: If the President does indeed create a commission to study voter fraud and voter suppression in the American election system to be headed by the Vice Preisdent [sic] and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, I'm calling on scholars of election administration to resist participation of any kind in such an effort," Minnite wrote. "We should expect a Pence-Kobach Commission to find ‘evidence' of rampant voter fraud across the U.S., and to recommend proposals to amend the Voting Rights Act and the National Voter Registration Act to require proof-of-citizenships to register and a national voter ID requirement, among other changes that will be damaging to voting rights and therefore, damaging to democracy."

Minnite went on to propose the formation of a commission of scholars and voting rights advocates to publicly push back against Trump's commission.

Bill Maher on Comey Firing: ‘A Lot of This Is Because of Bill Clinton’

HBO's "Real Time" host Bill Maher on Friday blamed former President Bill Clinton for the fallout and eventual firing of now-former FBI director James Comey earlier this week.

Maher said that Comey made some missteps last fall by announcing that the FBI was reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails 11 days before the presidential election. However, he acknowledged that Comey was still on the case and said that he wasn't a guy that you "could buy off with loyalty."

He then castigated liberals for being opposed to Comey over "purity" issues, which he said gave Republicans a talking point to show their hypocrisy after President Trump fired him.

Maher's partial defense of Comey received praise from hip-hop artist Michael Render, better known as Killer Mike, who called Comey a "Boy Scout."

"I thought that 11 days before the election was weird, but I felt like he [took] a fair shot at Hillary. I thought that the investigation into Trump was fair. I was actually impressed that he seemed to be in the middle figuring out, you know, the whole thing and I am glad to see that," Render said.

A Hartley Hall Comment Worthy Of A Post

He should not b there. He should have been removed. The safety of staff, residents and even visitors should b of the upmost importance here. I am a caregiver and yes we do all get abused in some form, but this is way beyond what any caregiver signs up for. Yes I feel for his family. But remove him so this doesn't happen again or before he actually kills someone. I know a person who has actually gave her 2 wks notice and is out under 2 dr notes and will have to attend therapy. I also know that nothing has been done and the employees don't feel safe. This is utterly a shame. Hartley hall was known by many as one of the best and after this they aren't fit to care for stray animals. After the first situation he should have been gone. Bit it is all about the money and not about care. When u get told to basically suck it up this is job something is wrong. No one and I do mean no one signs up to raped and physically beat to the point that u feel ur gonna die.

I pray for the victim and the staff. Especially those directly involved, and to those suffering with panic and anxiety. This is not good for anyone.

Border Patrol Agents Seize Massive Amounts of Drugs After Migrant Crossings Drop

The sharp decline in border apprehensions of migrants illegally crossing the border resulted in a massive increase in the seizure of drugs in various border sectors in South Texas. Drug seizures by Border Patrol agents and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers rose dramatically over the past several months.

Information obtained by Breitbart Texas from CBP officials indicates a 177 percent increase in the seizure of heroin and a 129 percent increase in the seizure of cocaine. “The increase in illicit drug activity comes at a time when apprehensions have declined in recent months,” officials stated.

“The alignment of policy and strategy has led to significant gains in reducing illicit cross border activity in South Texas, we must stay vigilant,” Joint Task Force-West South Texas Corridor, Commander Manuel Padilla, Jr. said in a written statement. “Low apprehension numbers do not equate to a quiet border. Criminal organizations will continue to smuggle their contraband and threaten border security.”

Baltimore: A Glimpse Of America's Future "Retail Apocalypse"

In recent months, I’ve toured the worst zip codes America has to offer. The rhyming factor in each zip code is deterioration post ‘American High’ (mid-1960s). This weekend, I’m bringing you a treat from West Baltimore, where the homicide rate is spiraling out of control. In some areas, it’s so bad that mobile police stations in 40 foot RV’s are patrolling the streets. Block after block, it resembles a post-apocalyptic view of America, if industry fails to return. We’ll save this story for later.

On my travels from West Baltimore, I stumbled across a 200 year old mall called ‘Old Town Mall’. Established in 1818, the mall contains 64 stores, the majority of which are abandoned. The decay of the mall started in the post-world war era as Baltimore’s population peaked, then started to dwindle. The mall was briefly revived after the 1968 Baltimore Riots catering to a new demographic. The revival ended in the 1980s with high unemployment and population decrease wreaking havoc in Baltimore’s community.

As you know, the United States is rapidly descending into the ‘retail apocalypse’ with over 21 retailers closing 3591 stores in 2017. This is due to a combination of consumer trends, first the migration to e-commerce, and second the consumer is flat broke. According to retail anaylst Jan Kniffen, “about one-third of malls in the U.S. will shut their doors in the coming years”. Consumerism in America has been a long standing pillar of our society. Unfortunately, the consumer has stage three cancer with non-productive debt, mix match in skills, and low wages already forcing major cracks in the consumerism pillar. The final blow to the consumerism pillar could be hinted in BOFA’s latest statement, “we’re hitting ‘peak youth’, and a ‘demographic tidal wave’ is coming”.

Why the Media Must Stop Citing ‘Anti-Hate Crusader' Southern Poverty Law Center

Last week, my organization, an immigration-control advocate, publicly released a 2016 disciplinary opinion from the Obama-era U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) officially reprimanding a Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) attorney for unprofessional and frivolous behavior in immigration court proceedings.

For decades, DOJ’s asked us to contribute briefs in difficult and complex immigration cases and in one such case the SPLC, a tax-exempt “anti-hate” organization, took it upon itself to file an unsolicited brief with the immigration court attacking us as “white supremacist,” “anti-Semitic,” and “anti-Catholic.” It was an odd bit of name-calling considering my small team happens to include Catholics, Jews, and non-whites.

Thankfully, even the Obama DOJ saw the move as a shameful and discreditable attack. DOJ’s disciplinary counsel fulsomely reprimanded the SPLC attorney, as well as attorneys from its partner-organizations, sending them a letter calling their attacks “frivolous behavior,” “derogatory name-calling,” and generally showing “a lack of professionalism.” DOJ also stated that the involved attorneys abused the briefing process and failed to aid the administration of justice.

The missile launch was tracked from Kosong in southeastern North Korea and was identified by U.S. intelligence agencies as a KN-17, a missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead up to 3,400 miles—enough to reach Alaska and Guam. The Pacific island of Guam is a key hub for the U.S. military in the Pacific.

The missile launched around 4:30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday and attained the unusually high altitude of around 1,200 miles to test its capability of delivering a nuclear warhead through the earth's atmosphere during reentry.

"This is a key step [in nuclear missile development] and something they currently cannot do," said a defense official familiar with intelligence reports.

After reentering the atmosphere, the missile impacted in the Sea of Japan around 400 miles from its launch point.

Democrats: Trying to Destroy America since 1865

Islam is Illegal in America since 1952

When will our government start enforcing our laws? Sharia Law runs counter to our US Constitution. Those who don't assimilate need to be deported and sent back to their home country where their beliefs are accepted and practiced.

Remember, Islam is not a religion, it's an entire system encompassing law and governance.

The fall of retailers means doomsday for malls

American retail culture may well have reached a tipping point.

Major department stores are floundering about like fish in a rapidly draining pond after reporting dreadful earnings last week.

The time-honored multigenerational giants like Macy’s, Sears and JCPenney are all looking at a dramatically different future.

Macy’s stock collapsed 17 percent after Thursday’s first-quarter report. And high-end retail behemoths like Nordstrom are getting clobbered, too. Shares of that politically petulant retailer fell 11 percent Thursday on news of its first-quarter results.

Better take a good look, because this may be last call for the mall.

Gov’t Report: US Nuclear Reactors Face ‘Doom And Gloom’ Scenario

America’s fleet of nuclear reactors is rapidly aging, posing a serious problem for the country, according to a Friday report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA.)

EIA’s report notes that nearly all nuclear plants in the U.S. started operating between 1970 and 1990. This means they’re aging fast and will need to renew their original 40-year operating licenses before 2050. Most of these reactors are only designed to function for a maximum of 60 years and the U.S. isn’t building new ones fast enough.

“The U.S. nuclear energy fleet and American global market leadership is clearly at cliff’s edge without new capacity given the current trajectory of premature plant closings and likely licensing-related plant retirements.,” David Blee, executive director of the U.S. Nuclear Infrastructure Council (NIC), told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

I think we are in trouble!

A DC airport ticket agent offers some examples of 'why' our country is in trouble:

1. I had a New Hampshire Congresswoman (Carol Shea-Porter) ask for an aisle seat so that her hair wouldn't get messed up by being near the window. (On an airplane!)

2. I got a call from a Kansas Congressman's (Moore) staffer (Howard Bauleke), who wanted to go to Capetown. I started to explain the length of the flight and the passport information, and then he interrupted me with, ''I'm not trying to make you look stupid, but Capetown is in Massachusetts ...''

Without trying to make him look stupid, I calmly explained, ''Cape Cod is in Massachusetts , Capetown is in Africa '' his response -- click.

3. A senior Vermont Congressman (Bernie Sanders) –prez candidate---called, furious about a Florida package we did. I asked what was wrong with the vacation in Orlando . He said he was expecting an ocean-view room. I tried to explain that's not possible, since Orlando is in the middle of the state.
He replied, 'don't lie to me, I looked on the map and Florida is a very thin state!'' (OMG)

4. I got a call from a lawmaker's wife (Landra Reid) who asked, ''Is it possible to see England from Canada ?''
I said, ''No.'' She said, ''But they look so close on the map.'' (OMG, again!)

5. An aide for a cabinet member (Janet Napolitano) once called and asked if he could rent a car in Dallas I pulled up the reservation and noticed he had only a 1-hour layover in Dallas . When I asked him why he wanted to rent a car, he said, ''I heard Dallas was a big airport, and we will need a car to drive between gates to save time.'' (Aghhhh)

6. An Illinois Congresswoman (Jan Schakowsky) called last week. She needed to know how it was possible that her flight from Detroit left at 8:30 a.m., and got to Chicago at 8:33 a.m.

I explained that Michigan was an hour ahead of Illinois , but she couldn't understand the concept of time zones. Finally, I told her the plane went fast, and she bought that.

7. A New York lawmaker, (Jerrold Nadler) called and asked, ''Do airlines put your physical description on your bag so they know whose luggage belongs to whom?'' I said, 'No, why do you ask?' He replied, ''Well, when I checked in with the airline, they put a tag on my luggage that said (FAT), and I'm overweight. I think that's very rude!''
After putting him on hold for a minute, while I looked into it. (I was dying laughing). I came back and explained the city code for Fresno , Ca. is (FAT - Fresno Air Terminal), and the airline was just putting a destination tag on his luggage.

8. A Senator John Kerry aide (Lindsay Ross) called to inquire about a trip package to Hawaii After going over all the cost info, she asked, ''Would it be cheaper to fly to California and then take the train to Hawaii ?''

9. I just got off the phone with a freshman Congressman, Bobby Bright from Ala who asked, ''How do I know which plane to get on?''I asked him what exactly he meant, to which he replied, ''I was told my flight number is 823, but none of these planes have that number on them.''

10. Senator Dianne Feinstein called and said, ''I need to fly to Pepsi-Cola , Florida Do I have to get on one of those little computer planes?''I asked if she meant fly to Pensacola , FL on a commuter plane. She said, ''Yeah, whatever, smarty!''

11. Mary Landrieu , La. Senator called and had a question about the documents she needed in order to fly to China After a lengthy discussion about passports, I reminded her that she needed a visa. 'Oh, no I don't. I've been to China many times and never had to have one of those.'' I double checked and sure enough, her stay required a visa. When I told her this she said, ''Look, I've been to China 4 times & every time they have accepted my American Express!''

12. A New Jersey Congressman (John Adler) called to make reservations, ''I want to go from Chicago to Rhino, New York .''I was at a loss for words. Finally, I said, ''Are you sure that's the name of the town?'' 'Yes, what flights do you have?'' replied the man. After some searching, I came back with, ''I'm sorry, sir, I've looked up every airport code in the country and can't find a rhino anywhere."''The man retorted, ''Oh, don't be silly! Everyone knows where it is. Check your map!''So I scoured a map of the state of New York and finally offered, ''You don't mean Buffalo , do you?''The reply? ''Whatever! I knew it was a big animal.''

Now you know why the Government is in the shape that it's in!

Congressional Expert: North Korea Prepping EMP Catastrophe Aimed At U.S. Homefront

TEL AVIV – While the international community and news media focus on North Korean missile tests and the country’s nuclear program, one expert warned on Sunday that North Korea may be secretly assembling the capability to take out significant parts of the U.S. homeland via an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack.

Dr. Peter Vincent Pry is executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security and is the chief of staff of the Congressional EMP Commission.

Speaking on this reporter’s talk radio program, Pry pointed to two North Korean satellites that are currently orbiting the U.S. at trajectories he says are optimized for a surprised EMP attack. “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” is broadcast on terrestrial radio on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and NewsTalk 990 AM in Philadelphia and online.

Member Charged in Arson of Black Church With ‘Vote Trump’ Scrawled on Side

The authorities charged a man on Wednesday with setting fire last month to a predominantly African-American church in Greenville, Miss., where “Vote Trump” was found spray-painted on the side of the building.

The man, Andrew McClinton, 45, of Leland, Miss., was charged with arson of a place of worship in the first degree, a felony, Warren Strain, a spokesman for theMississippi Department of Public Safety, said in an interview on Wednesday.

Mr. McClinton, who is black, was a member of the church, Hopewell Missionary Baptist, at the time of the fire on Nov. 1, Mr. Strain said.

The church sanctuary was heavily damaged by heat, fire and smoke. The 200-member church has been a fixture for more than 110 years in Greenville, a Mississippi Delta city of about 32,000 that is around 120 miles north of Jackson, Miss.

Mr. McClinton appeared voluntarily at the Greenville Police Department, where he made statements that implicated him in the crime on Wednesday, Mr. Strain said. He did not have a lawyer as of Wednesday night and was to make his first court appearance on Thursday.

Noting that the investigation was continuing, Mr. Strain declined to discuss a possible motive for the arson or how investigators linked him to it.

The fire was set a week before Election Day, but a state official said the authorities did not believe it was motivated by politics.

Publishers Notes: I Don't Give A Rats A$$ What Michelle Obama Thinks!

Here's What Michelle Obama Thinks About Trump's School Lunch Rules

The former first lady got fired up talking about the issues she championed during her eight years in the White House. Last week the Trump administration announced changes to school nutrition rules.

More

Michelle Obama had EIGHT years to turn school lunches upside down. Kids were throwing their lunches away and complaining all across the nation about how horrible it was. Of course the press, (including local press) refused to talk about it.

But this Idiot of a woman wants to rag on Trump, acting like he is trying to kill our children with the food they'll eat. Shut your big fat mouth Michelle Obama and do like ALL former First Ladies and quietly go away. I, (for one) have no interest in anything you have to say.

By the way people, did you see ONE report showing how much weight a child lost because of Michelle's lunch program? Did you see ONE report showing any children healthier because of her lunch program.

It's all about politics and bashing President Trump. Crawl back in your hole Michelle and go away. By the way, the children of America hated you for what you did to their school lunches. I'll remember to bring that up the next time a Liberal wants to run for Office to remind those very kids who had to eat cardboard for lunch.
