Assateague Island Speed Limit Reduced

ASSATEAGUE — In the wake of the most recent collision between a vehicle and a wild horse, the Assateague Island National Seashore officials announced on Friday speed limit reductions have been posted on the bridge leading to the barrier island and along the most frequented roadways near the entrance.

On Wednesday, Aug. 15, Adrianna’s Yankee Prince, who had been struck by a vehicle a little over a week earlier along the Route 611 causeway, was reported down in the marsh and unable to stand and had to be humanely euthanized. Adrianna’s Yankee Prince showed signs of recovery following the collision and was standing and foraging on its own, but took a turn for the worse a week later and had to be put down.

On Friday, Assateague Island National Seashore officials announced the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA) has established lower speed limits and posted signs on the Route 611 approaches to the barrier island. The new reduced speed limit on the Verrazano Bridge is 30 mph, while the speed limit on Route 611 to Bayberry Drive has been further reduced to 25 mph.

The westbound traffic lanes in that area also have corresponding speed limit reductions. The speed limit on Bayberry Drive will also be reduced to 25 mph as soon as the new signs arrive next week.

DNC passes historic reforms stripping superdelegates of power

CHICAGO -- Two years after the gruesome presidential primary of 2016 left Democrats bitterly divided, the Democratic National Committee adopted major reforms Saturday to reduce the outsized influence of unpledged delegates, known as superdelegates.

In a majority vote, the DNC passed a measure to block superdelegates — elected officials and party leaders — from casting a vote for any presidential candidate unless a second ballot is required at the 2020 national convention, stripping them of power. The change comes after supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., asserted superdelegates gave Hillary Clinton an unfair advantage, creating a perception that she had the nomination sewn up before the primary.

But the reforms codified Saturday, which dramatically change the way the party picks its presidential nominee, were backed by supporters of both Clinton and Sanders. Other adopted changes include making caucuses more accessible to those with disabilities or unable to physically attend a caucus.

“We cannot repair the damage that has been done and we can’t restore the freedoms that have been taken away unless we can win elections,” said American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees President Lee Saunders, referring to the Trump administration. “That means we must have a nominating process that leads to victory in 2020 and beyond.”

“These aren’t radical or revolutionary reforms,” Saunders added. “But it will go a long way toward restoring trust in our party.”

Donald Trump: FBI Did Not Finish Hillary Clinton Email Investigation

President Donald Trump asserted on Saturday that the FBI did not properly investigate Hillary Clinton’s missing emails.

“Big story out that the FBI ignored tens of thousands of Crooked Hillary Emails, many of which are REALLY BAD,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Also gave false election info. I feel sure that we will soon be getting to the bottom of all of this corruption.”

Trump referred to a story highlighted on Fox News on Saturday that the missing emails from Hillary Clinton’s private server found on Anthony Weiner’s computer were not completely scrutinized by the FBI.

“‘The FBI looked at less than 1%’ of Crooked’s Emails!” Trump wrote, citing the report.

1 In 3 Amazon Employees On Food Stamps In Arizona

Thousands of Amazon employees rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, to feed themselves.

One in three, or 1,800, Amazon employees in Arizona, one in 10 (700) in Ohio, and one in 10 in Pennsylvania, or more than 1,000, are on food stamps, Business Insider reportedSaturday.

The numbers are “misleading because they include people who only worked for Amazon for a short period of time and/or who chose to work part-time,” an Amazon spokesperson toldThe Washington Post Thursday. “We have hundreds of full-time roles available, however, some prefer part-time for the flexibility or other personal reasons.”

Democratic socialist Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont has been a vocal critic of companies like Amazon. He is introducing legislation that would require large businesses like Amazon to cover the cost of food stamps, The Washington Post reported.

Sanctuary State Illinois: Illegal Alien Convicted of Raping Three Women

An illegal alien who failed to be deported in 2012 was convicted and sentenced this week for the rape of two women and a third, now deceased, whom he admitted to raping.

Miguel Luna, a 37-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, was sentenced to 80 years in prison after being convicted of raping two women in 2015 and 2016, according to the Chicago Tribune. A third woman whom the illegal alien raped has since died, though prosecutors revealed evidence showing Luna admitting to the rape.

Luna had an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) final order for removal placed on him in 2012 before the rapes occurred, but the deportation order was never honored. Illinois is, for the most part, a sanctuary state where illegal aliens are protected from being deported.

Tech Mogul John McAfee: 'If We Are All Armed, We Are All Equal'

Tech mogul John McAfee personally stays armed 24/7 and wholeheartedly believes, “If we are all armed, we are all equal.”

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that McAfee has a security detail, but he keeps a gun on his person in case an attacker is able to circumvent the detail.

McAfee used a tweet to say, “My sidearm is ALWAYS in my hand when I’m on the toilet, sleeping and making love. Puts a kink in foreplay but some women love it. Accidental discharge? No. Some intentional when idiots tried to rush me.”

Murderous Mexico: July Most Violent Ever As Country Descends Into Chaos

Mexico continues to descend into chaos, as a record number of homicide cases were opened last month, the Ministry of Public Security said Tuesday.

The ministry states 2,599 homicide cases were opened in July - an average of 84 per day, for a total of 3,017 registered victims.

This is the highest monthly toll ever record since Mexico began keeping stats on homicide cases in the late 1990s. The previous record of 2,894 was set in May.

In 2018, there have been 16,399 homicide cases opened in the first seven months, which represent a 14 percent increase over the same period last year, said the Los Angeles Times.

Last year was the country’s most violent period on record, with more than 25,000 homicide investigations into 31,174 death.

If the parabolic death trend continues, 2018 could go in the record books as the most violent year ever.

Joe Biden has til January to decide on 2020's presidential race

Vice President Joe Biden — set to decide by January whether to make a White House run — will be back in the city next month to lend his support to Rich Cordray, the Democratic nominee for Ohio governor.

“Uncle Joe” will be at the Sept. 6 fund-raiser for “afternoon coffee and conversation.”

The longtime Democrat last month admitted he is pondering a presidential run for 2020.

While speaking at a forum in Bogotá, Colombia,Biden told CNN that while polling data shows he could beat Trump, it might not mean anything.

Majority Of Young Americans Live In A Household Receiving Welfare

Will they be called The Welfare Generation?

New analysis from CNS News finds that the majority of Americans under 18 live in households that take “means-tested assistance” from the US government.

The study, based on the most recently available data from the Census Bureau, leads with the question: Will they be called The Welfare Generation?

The data presented by CNS editor Terrence Jeffrey shockingly reveals that in 2016 “there were approximately 73,586,000 people under 18 in the United States, and 38,365,000 of them — or 52.1 percent — resided in households in which one or more persons received benefits from a means-tested government program.”

3 men charged in the death of 9-year-old girl who was killed by a stray bullet in her sleep

New Jersey police charged three men Friday with the murder of a 9-year-old girl who was killed in her sleep last month when a stray bullet struck her.

Michael Elliott, 25, Leroy Frazier III, 20, and 18-year-old Charles Gamble were arrested and charged with murder, conspiracy, attempted murder and weapons offenses in the July 17 death of 9-year-old Jennifer Trejo, Bridgeton police said.

Confederate Monuments and the Destruction of a Nation's History

They tore another Confederate statue down. A mob of misinformed lawless miscreants in North Carolina, ignorant of history but allowed to alter history. Violating law and allowed to do so by gutless local authorities guarding not history or law but their positions and municipal pensions.

Where is the concern for facts or even the greater concern for a destruction of national identity conducted by the uneducable twenty-year-olds?

Enter an expert, a person not wet behind the ears with a sledge hammer, but rather an astute historian who possesses knowledge beyond any level which the mobsters could imagine.

Meet James "Bud " Robertson. If you have read Civil War history, you might have read one of his books. He has published forty. If you are a statue remover, you most assuredly have read none.

Mr. Robertson is professor emeritus Virginia Tech. He has studied the politics of the great war for nearly six decades. He assisted the Kennedy administration in the commemoration of the Civil War Centennial. He provides great wisdom regarding the importance of history to a nation's identity and insights into the Civil War. His one hour speech can be seen on his video. It is remarkable collection of observations, both past and present, regarding a nation's history and the peril that comes with its altering. He corrects the misconceptions that fuel much of this Confederate statue controversy.

Italian Catholics Look to Matteo Salvini Over Pope Francis on Immigration

Many practicing Catholics prefer the immigration policies of Italian Minister Matteo Salvini to those of Pope Francis, according to a series of recent polls.

The German daily Die Welt reported last week that Matteo Salvini is becoming the secret leader of Catholics in Italy because of his firm line on migration, while fewer and fewer Catholics support Pope Francis’ call for greater openness to migrants.

Luca Comodo, the director of the Ipsos research institute, said recently that according to surveys “at this time, there is a clear distance between a significant part of Catholic opinion and the hierarchy of the Church.”

In "Historic Bombshell", Vatican Official Accuses Pope Francis Of Covering Up Sexual Abuse, Calls For Resignation

In an extraordinary 11-page written testament, one which the NYT's Ross Douthat called a "truly historic bombshell", a former papal nunco, or Vatican ambassador, to the US, it does what many have called for, and offers testimony concerning "who in the hierarchy knew what, and when," about the crimes of Cardinal McCarrick. The testimony implicates a host of high-ranking churchmen. And the pope. Vigano said that he told Pope Francis in 2013 about allegations of sexual abuse against a prominent priest — and that Francis took no action. Now, the former official, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, 77, is calling for Francis to step down.

Vigano made the allegations in a lengthy statement that concludes with a call for Francis' resignation:

"In this extremely dramatic moment for the universal Church, he must acknowledge his mistakes and, in keeping with the proclaimed principle of zero tolerance, Pope Francis must be the first to set a good example to Cardinals and Bishops who covered up McCarrick's abuses and resign along with all of them."

More GOP Lawmakers Weigh in on Sessions and ‘Crooked’s Emails’

Rohrabacher (R-CA) and Flake (R-AZ) go on the record

Two Republican lawmakers have added their voices to opposite sides of the recent dialogue regarding Attorney General Jeff Sessions as President Trump (R-USA) took to Twitter, all since FreeMartyG’s rundown on the debate Friday morning.

Congressman Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) weighed in on Fox Business Network, saying, “The fact that Jeff Sessions has not quit is a disloyalty to this president and to the country. The fact is, if he disagrees with what the president wants him to do, he should resign.”

Representative Rohrabacher thereby joined Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and a largelyunnamed but apparently growing group of GOP legislators who are either privately calling on President Trump to fire Sessions after the midterm elections this November or who appear to be supportive of that action.

Why isn’t this all over main stream media!

Two linked to 'extremist Muslim' New Mexico compound wanted to attack hospital, prosecutors say

A couple accused of training children to carry out mass shootings at an "extremist Muslim" compound in the New Mexico desert singled out an Atlanta hospital as one target before police arrested them, according to court documents filed Friday.

Prosecutors in Taos County, citing interviews with the 11 children found at the compound earlier this month, claimed in the filing that Jany Leveille wanted to "confront 'corrupt' institutions or individuals ... and reveal the 'truth' to these corrupt institutions or individuals."

According to the prosecutors, one of the children said Leveille "specifically" mentioned Grady Hospital as a "corrupt" institution. They added that Leveille "expressed her displeasure with Grady Hospital ... due to treatment she and her mother received there."

The filing also said investigators recovered a 10-page, handwritten document entitled "Phases of a Terrorist Attack" from the New Mexico compound. The document includes "instructions for the one-time terrorist," but it was not clear if a specific target was mentioned.

Authorities also said Leveille and her partner, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, "would laugh and joke about dying in Jihad."

Former Vatican Official Accuses Pope Francis of Knowingly Reinstating Abusive Cardinal

In a bombshell report, the Vatican’s former ambassador to the United States has accused Pope Francis of reinstating Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to a position of prominence despite knowing of McCarrick’s sexual abuse of priests, seminarians, and laypeople, including minors.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò released an 11-page affidavit on Saturday alleging that Pope Benedict had imposed “canonical sanctions” on Cardinal McCarrick in 2009-2010 forbidding him from traveling, celebrating Mass in public, or participating in public meetings, but that Pope Francis later lifted these sanctions and made McCarrick a close personal advisor.

Presenting himself as a whistleblower, Viganò declares that bishops “must have the courage to tear down the culture of secrecy and publicly confess the truths we have kept hidden.”

The archbishop concludes by calling on Pope Francis to resign his office as pope.

Now that “the corruption has reached the very top of the Church’s hierarchy,” he says, “my conscience dictates that I reveal those truths regarding the heart-breaking case of the Archbishop Emeritus of Washington, D.C., Theodore McCarrick, which I came to know in the course of [my] duties.”

Scott Adams: If Donald Trump Goes Down, Hillary Clinton Goes to Prison

Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert and popular political prognosticator, floated a theory of “mutually assured destruction” on Sunday morning: if prosecutors pursue President Donald Trump, he will make sure that Hillary Clinton and her allies go to jail.

Adams said that his theory explained why Trump had retained Jeff Sessions as Attorney General, even while attacking him for failing to pursue charges against Hillary Clinton, as well as members of the “deep state” who had conspired to spy on the Trump campaign.

The goal, he said, was to make sure prosecutors understood there was a “red line” they could not cross — because doing so would trigger Sessions’s replacement with a prosecutor who would take down Trump’s enemies:

Let me ask you this — and I’ve not seen any reporting on this: what would happen if they actually got the president on something serious? Well, between the time the president knew he was going down — and this is hypothetical, let’s imagine that they found something in his business or something that was problematic — he would have a number of months of being in power before he was technically out of office. What would he do? Well, I think he would employ “mutually assured destruction” — not of the world, but of Hillary Clinton. It seems to me he’s setting up the situation to make it clear that if he goes down, he’s going to have plenty of time to take Hillary down. And here’s how he’d do it. Fire Jeff Sessions — and there’s tons of political blowback, but who cares? Because this would be the point where it doesn’t matter anymore. He has nothing to lose. He’s going to fire Jeff Sessions, he’s going to put somebody in — if he can get them approved — who will do nothing but take Hillary down. So it seems to me by threatening Jeff Sessions but not moving on it, he’s sending the clearest message possible that if the deep state takes him out, he’s going to take Hillary out.

Adams later specified that the “red line” for Special Counsel Robert Mueller was any investigation into the broader finances of the Trump Organization, which had nothing to do with the 2016 presidential election or allegations of Russian “collusion.”

Trump on Tibbetts: MSM Lost Interest When They Found Out Illegal Alien Charged with Murder

President Donald Trump on Friday evening accused the mainstream media of not covering Mollie Tibbetts’s murder “the way it should be covered” as soon as the media found out that an illegal alien was charged with her murder.

Speaking at a fundraising dinner for the Ohio Republican Party, Trump said the mainstream media “didn’t want to cover it the way it should be covered” when “they found out that it was this horrible illegal immigrant that viciously killed her.”

“Just this week we learned that Iowa authorities have charged an illegal alien in the murder of a college student—Mollie Tibbetts,” Trump said, adding that “everybody was talking about Mollie,” who the president said was a “beautiful, wonderful, incredible person.”

Trump said that “everybody that met her loved her” and added that when he saw Tibbetts’s father hoping that his daughter would come back alive, Trump said he thought to himself while watching television coverage for the last month, “maybe he’s right.”

“This went on for a long time… when they found out that it was this horrible illegal immigrant that viciously killed her, all of a sudden that story went down. They didn’t want to cover it the way it should be covered,” Trump said.

How Donald Trump can survive the onslaught against his presidency

From Day One, President Trump has been fighting a war for survival on two fronts. One front involves law enforcement, led first by James Comey’s FBI and now by special counsel Robert Mueller. The other front is political, where Trump faces the resistance movement led by congressional Democrats.

But sift through the fog of last week’s dizzying headlines about guilty pleas, immunity deals and possible impeachment, and a clear picture emerges: The two fronts have united, with the anti-Trumpers in the Justice Department and those in politics now openly working hand-in-hand against him.

In the long slog to unseat the president, the official merger of the anti-Trump forces marks a dramatic turning point. For one thing, it shows beyond doubt that the Mueller probe is fundamentally tainted by partisan politics, with the latest example involving Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer. Inexplicably, Cohen’s case remains in control of Manhattan federal prosecutors.

The US attorney Trump appointed for that outpost, Geoffrey Berman, reportedly was ordered to recuse himself by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, leaving the office staffed mostly by holdovers from Preet Bharara’s tenure.

Bharara was fired by Trump when he refused to resign and is cheering for Trump’s fall. Meanwhile, his former colleagues made the politically charged demand that Cohen accuse the president of criminal behavior in his own plea documents, illustrating how Cohen is a pawn and Trump is the real target.

Democrats 'pro-choice' on abortion? Not a chance

You could say Sens. Joe Manchin and Joe Donnelly faced a tough choice on Thursday’s vote about taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, America's largest abortion provider. But for Democrats, there is no choice on abortion anymore. You simply do what the abortion lobby tells you to do.

Every Democrat voted against Sen. Rand Paul’s amendment to end federal funding of Planned Parenthood, which as Paul explains, “ends the lives of 320,000 babies every year. That’s about 900 babies every day.”

That's also one out of every three abortions performed in the United States each year.

The abortion giant, funded by liberal elites who share its dedication to thinning the population of “unwanted” babies, rakes in more than $400 million of your money every year. The official line is that none of that $400 million pays for any of those 320,000 abortions. But the fungibility of money makes this one of the most obvious and odious pieces of political casuistry. Federal dollars force all taxpayers to keep afloat a business, the core purposes of which are to abort unborn people and lobby Washington to pay the people who do it.

"Predatory" Chicago Funeral Homes Make Killing Amid Soaring Murder Rate

Chicago funeral homes are raking it in amid the city's largely ignored murder epidemic, reports Fox News.

Taking advantage of a taxpayer-funded scheme which guarantees up to $7,500 in funeral expenses for the families of homicide victims, several funeral directors have been accused of inflating prices or charging families for services which were never performed.

“Every funeral home in the state knows that victims get $7,500 for a funeral and it’s their goal to charge the entire amount because it’s easy money,” Susan Johnson, executive director of Chicago Survivors, told Fox News.

Johnson, whose organization helps people who have lost loved ones to homicide, claims some zero in on people receiving money from the Illinois Crime Victim’s Compensation fund.

The state – along with the federal government – provides eligible victims of violent crime with up to $27,000 in financial assistance for out-of-pocket expenses. The families of murder victims get $7,500 for funeral costs.

According to the National Funeral Directors Association, the average cost of a funeral for an adult is between $7,000 and $8,300. The Federal Trade Commission puts the figure slightly higher at around $10,000. -Fox News

Child was punished for calling his teacher 'ma'am,' parents say

TARBORO, NC (WTVD/CNN) – Parents in North Carolina are seeking answers after they say their 10-year-old son was punished by his teacher for addressing her as "ma'am."

When 10-year-old Tamarion Wilson came home from North East Carolina Preparatory School on Tuesday afternoon, his mother, Teretha Wilson, noticed something was off.

"I asked him what happened," Wilson said. "He said he got in trouble for saying 'yes, ma'am.'"

Tamarion then pulled out a sheet of paper, on which he'd been made to write the word "ma'am," four times per line on both sides – all because he'd referred to his teacher as such after she'd instructed him not to.

As part of his punishment, Tamarion had to have the paper signed by a parent.

"He had a look on his face of disappointment, shame," said McArthur Bryant, Tamarion's father.

Wilson said the teacher also told Tamarion during the encounter that if she had something, she would have thrown it at him.

Homeless Veteran Back on Street After Fundraisers Keep Money

Johnny Bobbitt is back under a bridge just months after a couple raised $400,000 for him — and then reportedly kept it.

It seemed like an American Cinderella story: when New Jersey resident Kate McClure ran out of gas in a “sketchy” neighborhood in Philadelphia, 35-year-old homeless veteran Johnny Bobbitt offered her his last $20 dollars for gas, which he went and fetched for her himself.

McClure and her boyfriend Mark D’Amico responded with a GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 so that Bobbitt could get safely through the winter. The story captured the hearts and minds of many readers, and the campaign raised more than $400,000 in Bobbitt’s name. This, however, is where the story gets ugly.

The last update to the GoFundMe page described a plan in concert with Bobbitt’s “lawyer” and “financial adviser” to acquire a home and vehicle for him. However, Bobbitt said he never spoke to a lawyer and only met a financial adviser once. The couple claims to have already spent half the money on him in that time — but their story does not seem to check out.

Rather than putting the money into trusts, as was explicitly stated, the remaining $200,000 is held in one of D’Amico’s savings accounts. While Bobbitt lives under a bridge, McClure has purchased a new BMW and taken vacations to California, Florida, and Las Vegas — all, she claims, on the salary of a receptionist for the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

Doctors Without Borders confirms slain terrorist was an employee

Israel said a terrorist who was a member of the Geneva-based organization “Doctors Without Borders” opened fire at IDF troops on the Gaza border earlier this week, a charge the group said Friday it was investigating, after it had confirmed the death of an employee.

The terrorist was eliminated Monday morning, after he opened fire on Israeli troops. An Israeli tank later shot at and killed the terrorist.

On Friday Doctors Without Borders issued a statement confirming that the slain terrorist had been a member of the group, but said it could not confirm yet that he had opened fire on Israeli troops.

"Doctors Without Borders (MSF) confirms that one of its employees, Hani Mohammed Almajdalawi, was killed in Gaza on Monday, August 20, 2018," the organization said in a statement.

"Hani al-Almajdalawi, who tried to infiltrate through the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip while he was armed with a rifle, opened fire toward military forces and even threw an explosive device at them," Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories said.

Kennesaw State Cuts 4 of 5 Cheerleaders Who Took a Knee During Anthem

Kennesaw State University has cut four of the five cheerleaders who took a knee during the playing of the national anthem last year, according to reports.

The school newspaper, the Sentinel, noted that four of the five kneelers did not make the cut for the 2018 football season. KSU’s athletic department reported that 91 women tried out for the 52 spots on the various cheer squads, up from 61 applicants last year. The department also noted that three other members of last year’s teams also did not make the cut for this year.

“Similar to all KSU sports teams, multi-year spots on rosters are not guaranteed, and all student-athletes must earn their position on a team,” a letter from the KSU athletic department stated according to the school’s paper.

Bet They Didn’t Tell You About These Four Illegal Alien Crimes, Either

Thanks to the tragic murder of 20-year-old Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts, a national debate is now intensifying about crimes committed in the U.S. by illegal aliens and whether they are more or less dangerous to law-abiding citizens.

That debate is far from resolved — but what is clear is that many of the crimes committed by illegal aliens go unreported by the national mainstream media.

They won’t report it, but LifeZette and many local media will.

Just in the past 24 hours, here’s a sampling of what has been reported in local media outlets:

1.) Sex with a 14-year-old girl. 2.) Attempted kidnapping of a woman.

3.) Setting hospital emergency room bed on fire. 4.) Caught in Massachusetts, wanted for murder in El Salvador.

Trump Stuns with Hillary Clinton Corruption Announcement

President Donald Trump leveraged his direct connection to the American people on Saturday morning — announcing the possibility that he “may have to get involved” to ensure justice is served after dropping the bombshell that the FBI evaluated “less than 1 percent” of Hillary Clinton’s emails.

He also suggested that the FBI intentionally avoided evaluating the “disasters” among those emails.

75% Of Texas Voters Exposed After Unsecured Database Discovered

An unsecured database containing the personal information of 14.8 million Texas voters was discovered by a New Zealand-based data breach hunter who goes by the pseudonym Flash Gordon, reports TechCrunch.

It’s not clear who owned the server where the exposed file was found, but an analysis of the data reveals that it was likely originally compiled by Data Trust, a Republican-focused data analytics firm created by the GOP to provide campaigns with voter data.

Chris Vickery, director of cyber risk research at security firm UpGuard, analyzed a portion of the data. (It was Vickery who found a larger trove of 198 million voter records last year exposed by a similar data firm Deep Root Analytics, which sourced much of its data from Data Trust.) -TC

Trump: Sentencing of NSA Leaker Reality Winner ‘So Unfair’

President says Winner’s crime is ‘small potatoes’ compared to those of Hillary Clinton

President Donald Trump has called the sentencing of ex-NSA contractor Reality Winner “so unfair,” comparing the case to last year’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified material.

Trump argued that the federal government’s actions against Winner constituted a double standard in a Friday morning tweet aimed at Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

“Ex-NSA contractor to spend 63 months in jail over ‘classified’ information,” the president said. “Gee, this is ‘small potatoes’ compared to what Hillary Clinton did! So unfair Jeff, Double Standard.”

Why don't Asians complain about "White Privilege"

Breaking News: The U.S. and Mexico reached a preliminary agreement to revise key portions of Nafta. The trade deal now needs approval from Canada.

The accord is a major step for President Trump, who has threatened to scrap the pact. But Canada is still on the sidelines, and major issues are unresolved.

Educator: ‘Allow Teachers More than a Soup Can to Protect Themselves’

Idaho educator McKay Gardner pressed the Preston School District to allow teachers “more than a soup can to defend themselves.”

The Idaho State Journal reports that Gardner also took a preemptive jab at the same old points levied against any suggestion to arm teachers, saying, “One of the common arguments regarding concealed carry at my school is that a teacher’s gun might be used against teachers and students. … [But] perpetrators carry enough ammo for themselves.”

McKay’s points are self-evident. First, an unarmed teacher has but a few options when an armed attacker enters the room. The options are to throw something, perhaps an eraser, a pencil, a book, or, if there is a food drive, the teacher could throw a can of soup. None of these options are lifesavers.

Secondly, teachers are armed in numerous states, and there has never been a report of a student taking a teacher’s gun. That is a scenario often used to blunt any discussion of arming teachers, but as a practical matter, it is not a scenario that translates into reality. On the other hand, perpetrators are armed, and they do arrive at the school with the intent of taking innocent, defenseless lives:

Democrat Socialists Pushing to Infiltrate Schools

Radio host Michael Knowles said on "Fox & Friends" that Democratic Socialists are urging Socialists to become teachers because they can't win a "fair fight."

A pamphlet by the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA), in conjunction with the Democratic Socialist Labor Commission, outlines a push for socialists to "take jobs as teachers" as a way to move teachers unions "in a more militant and democratic direction."

Knowles said that according to numerous surveys, "the blood-soaked history" of socialism is unknown by millennials, leading them to identify as supporters of the movement.

Was Mollie Tibbetts the Victim of Mexican Machismo?

Recently, a liberal-leaning American girl named Mollie Tibbetts, totally unaware that the norm that dictates male sexual behavior in Latin and Central American was about to cost her life, went out for an evening run.

Little did Mollie know, when approached by a 24-year-old illegal Mexican driving a black Chevy Malibu, she probably was being confronted by a cultural inclination that – much like Muslim cultures – considers women inferior to men. Nor is it likely at the time that Mollie realized that the guy following her came from a part of the world where males satisfy sexual appetites any way they see fit.

Women either submit or, in many circumstances, die.

And so, when Mexican illegal Cristhian Bahena Rivera, 24, saw Tibbetts, aged 20, jogging, he did what his culture taught him to do: he "pursued her in his vehicle." A month later, in an Iowa cornfield, Mollie's decaying body was found.

With the aid of a Spanish translator following his arrest, Rivera told police that after shadowing the Iowa college student in his car, he "[l]ater ... parked ... and started running near her." Apparently, in Mexico, males stalking females is considered a compliment.

Young people live in a soundbite world where context is ignored

With the rise of social media, it is now easier than ever to connect with people, but that comes with downsides. For example, 31 percent of teens that use social media have fought with a friend over something that has happened online, and this rise of social media has also led to a rise in social isolation in users. This has a negative effect on day-to-day life, one section of American society that has also been effected is our politics.

In a new study from the Pew Research Center, 23 percent of young people (18-29) said they've changed their opinion on a political issue based off something they saw on social media in the past year. The effect of social media regarding politics is even more profound on young men, where 29 percent of that group has had an opinion change based off of something seen on social media.

Let's face it, we live in a world driven by sound bites. Millennials and Generation Z refuse to dig deeper, and would rather make our judgments based off of one headline we see on Facebook or a five-second clip we hear on Twitter than read an article, look at statistics, read a study, and form our opinions based on facts.

Unfortunately, this may have a devastating effect on our politics. When politics becomes less about who is correct on policy, and more about who can create a better story or sound bite, our government could start going downhill.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey will not appoint someone to fill the late Sen. John McCain's seat until after his burial.

"Out of respect for the life and legacy of Senator John McCain and his family, Governor Ducey will not be making any announcements about an appointment until after the senator is laid to rest," Ducey's senior adviser Daniel Ruiz II said in a statement obtained by the Arizona Republic.

"Now is a time for remembering and honoring a consequential life well lived," the statement added.

McCain died on Saturday at the age of 81 a little more than a year after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor called a glioblastoma.

Funerals and tributes are planned for McCain in both Phoenix and Washington, D.C. Afterwards he will be buried at the cemetery at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., but a date has yet to be set.

“We’ll Find Out About Brennan”

John Brennan became head of the Central Intelligence agency in 2013 and after leaving in 2017 he retained his security clearance, which President Trump recently revoked. Brennan is threatening a lawsuit, a prospect that delights the president’s lead lawyer.

“I’d volunteer to do that case for the president,” Rudy Giuliani told Fox News. “I’d love to have Brennan under oath for I don’t know how many days, two or three days? We’ll find out about Brennan.” As the former New York mayor is doubtless aware, there is plenty to find out. Consider, for example, Brennan’s role in the famous passport case.

Back in 2008, State Department contractors “unnecessarily reviewed” the passport file of Illinois Senator Barack Obama. The breach came without the knowledge of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who called the senator to apologize. “I myself would be very disturbed if I learned somebody had looked into my passport file,” Rice told reporters.

According to the State Department, two of the contract employees were fired for the security breach and a third was disciplined but remained on the job. The department did not reveal the identities of the employees nor what they might have been looking for in the presidential candidate’s passport file. On the other hand, some information did emerge...

Comey Lied Under Oath to Congress about Needing Warrant to Search Weiner’s Emails

Amidst all kinds of confusion and cover-ups, it now looks like fired former FBI Director James Comey lied to Congress more than once about the FBI’s investigation into Weiner’s emails.

This past week it was reported that the FBI failed to investigate a large portion of emails on the Weiner laptop before the election in spite of fired FBI Director James Comey claiming that they had and no issues were identified:

When then-FBI Director James Comey announced he was closing the Hillary Clinton email investigation for a second time just days before the 2016 election, he certified to Congress that his agency had “reviewed all of the communications” discovered on a personal laptop used by Clinton’s closest aide, Huma Abedin, and her husband, Anthony Weiner.

At the time, many wondered how investigators managed over the course of one week to read the “hundreds of thousands” of emails residing on the machine, which had been a focus of a sex-crimes investigation of Weiner, a former Congressman.

Comey later told Congress that “thanks to the wizardry of our technology,” the FBI was able to eliminate the vast majority of messages as “duplicates” of emails they’d previously seen. Tireless agents, he claimed, then worked “night after night after night” to scrutinize the remaining material.

But virtually none of his account was true, a growing body of evidence reveals.

Whooping cough outbreak in Kent County ‘an extremely serious situation’

DOVER — With many school districts in Kent County opening their doors to a new school year, the Division of Public Health is warning residents to be on the lookout for signs of whooping cough.

The DPH said it is investigating an outbreak of pertussis, commonly known as whooping cough, in Kent County.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website said, “Pertussis is known for uncontrollable, violent coughing which often makes it hard to breathe. After cough fits, someone with pertussis often needs to take deep breaths, which result in a ‘whooping’ sound. Pertussis can affect people of all ages, but can be very serious, even deadly, for babies less than a year old.”

NASCAR Driver Loses Sponsorship Over Father’s Racial Slur … 35 Years Ago

A sponsor announced on Friday that it has ended its partnership with NASCAR driver Conor Daly after it was reported that his father used racially insensitive language during an interview in the early 1980s.

Lilly Diabetes pulled its sponsorship from Conor’s No. 6 car in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity race, citing his father’s alleged use of the N-word 35 years ago, reported Fox News.

Derek Daly, a retired Indy 500 and Formula One driver, was fired days earlier from his role as WISH-TV’s Racing Analyst due to the controversy.

In a statement, the elder Daly admitted to using the word, but denied its connotation.

“I was a foreign driver now in America, driving for an American team, with an American crew, and with an American sponsor – and that if things did not go well, the only ‘”n” in the wood pile’ would be me,” Derek Daly wrote, saying that the expression was common in his native Ireland and didn’t carry the same racist connotation.

He added that he was “mortified” after he was informed of the derogatory nature of the word and has not used the word since.

“Unfortunately, the comments that surfaced this week by Derek Daly distract from this focus, so we have made the decision that Lilly Diabetes will no longer run the No. 6 at Road America this weekend,” Lilly said in a statement.

Australia's Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull out of office over foisting expensive 'green' power on his nation

Devotion to the global warming fraud has driven from office the head of government of a major democracy. Facing a no confidence vote from the Liberal Party (which is actually what passes for a conservative party in Australia – the Labor Party is the leftist party Down Under), Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull resigned.

Turnbull had lost 40 to 45 what the Aussies call a "spill motion" to short-circuit a leadership ballot in the party. The party then chose Scott Morrison as new party leader and therefore prime minister in their coalition with the National Party, which holds 16 seats and represents rural areas.

John McMahon comments from Australia:

Scott Morrison was the treasurer under Turnbull. With Morrison as prime minister, the leftist policies of Turnbull will doubtlessly continue. The vote was close, being 45-40, meaning that Peter Dutton was only three votes away from being P.M.

UNC Board Calls for Reinstallation of Destroyed Confederate Statue

A board member at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has called for the school to re-erect the Confederate statue destroyed by a mob last week.

In a video posted to Youtube, UNC Board of Governors member Thom Goolsby decried the “violent mob” that pulled down the over 100-year-old Confederate memorial named “Silent Sam” and said that the statue will be returned within ninety days.

“Many of you share my concerns and those of my fellow governors of the UNC system as to what recently happened at the Chapel Hill campus where a statue was torn down by a violent mob, and the police stood by and did nothing as that happened,” Goolsby says on his video. “We are investigating everything that occurred. I want you to know that we will do all we can to work with the trustees and the administration to see to it that the perpetrators are punished, that judgment is sought for their felonious criminal acts.”

Goolsby also cites “North Carolina General Statute 100-2.1,” which he says requires the statue of Silent Sam be replaced in 90 days.

Police: Children Fabricate Story of White Man Urinating on Black Girl

A group of young children fabricated the story of a white man in Michigan accused of urinating on and verbally abusing a five-year-old black girl with racial slurs, police said.

The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday they would be dropping charges against a 60-year-old Grand Rapids man accused of the crime when they discovered the children, who were seven-years-old or younger, had made up the tale.

Parents of the children told prosecutors their children “concocted the story to avoid trouble,” prosecutors said.

“We appreciate the conscientiousness of the parents in bringing the matter to the attention of the police, and continuing to ask their children questions as new evidence was obtained,” prosecutors said.
