Breaking News: The playwright Neil Simon died at 91

He was a master of Broadway comedy and beyond with hits like "The Odd Couple" and "Barefoot in the Park."

Early in his career, Mr. Simon wrote funny for television greats, including Phil Silvers and Sid Caesar. Later he wrote funny for the movies, too. But it was as a playwright that he earned his lasting fame, with a long series of expertly tooled laugh machines that kept his name on Broadway marquees virtually nonstop throughout the late 1960s and ’70s.

Welcome To Salisbury Maryland, Men At Work?

I'll just leave it to all of you
to make your own comments.

Geese Destroyed New Sod At Downtown Amphitheater

It's not just all the new grass planted throughout this project, the geese are crapping all over the place, (seriously) and crews are constantly having to clean up after them. Just more extremely poor planning, one has to wonder if they'll be pulling another Ocean Pines move just before the big event? #savethegeese

91% Of Md. Teachers Buy Their Own School Supplies, 41% Have A Second Job

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A new poll shows that Maryland educators are struggling financially, after spending their own money on school supplies and running up their personal debt.

Some teachers even have second jobs to make ends meet.

“Far too many educators are struggling to make ends meet. It’s clear that Maryland needs to do more for our teachers and school staff,” said Baltimore County elementary teacher and Maryland State Education Association President Cheryl Bost.

“Educators devote their lives to making a difference for every single child in their community, yet as a state we have allowed educators to become undervalued,’ Bost added. “The Kirwan Commission, legislators, and local officials must address this problem head-on so we can recruit and retain the talented and dedicated educators our kids need and deserve.”

Grabbing The Priests By The Horns, Do As I Say, Not As I Do...

It would seem that at least here on the Eastern Shore, little has been challenged when it comes to the Catholic Church and their incredible cover up of a multitude of Priests molesting children across our nation.

I personally grew up Catholic and frankly I had always felt ANYTHING said against the Church and its beliefs was like a sin. A sin in the worst kind of way too. You know, like you were going to Hell if you ever did such a thing.

Here we have a Church that for all my years was against homosexuality, yet here are these Priests abusing their absolution as leaders to abuse little children. Now I'm livid and it's time something is said about it.

Much like I don't hate gays, I don't hate Catholics either. However, I do HATE these SOB's, (pedophiles) abusing the sanctity of the Catholic Church without accountability. Oh, we keep hearing each case, (how convenient) is beyond the statute of limitation, therefore these Priests can't be held accountable for their actions.

I'll put it to you this way. I will no longer support the Catholic Church and why should I. When I'm raised to tell the truth and confess my sins, (according to them) and they flat out lie and abuse innocent children by the thousands, you tell me why I should be so stupid as to hang with a pedophile crowd. Will the Catholic Church call me a Racist or whatever Liberal term they create in the near future for the very people who agree with my stance?

Well, if so, I'll proudly wear that label because I have had enough. My God will support my decision, I firmly believe that. I firmly believe, (and so should you) we were created man and woman, not man on man or woman on woman. I do not believe in gay marriage, never have, never will.

Shame on the Catholic Church for the tactics they have done to hide this abuse from the public. Transferring Priests to other cities just to hide that very abuse is criminal. A pedophile is a pedophile, period. However, when you garnish the trust from your parishioners and then abuse that trust you are the Devil himself.

I'm done with the Catholic Church.

Hooters Are Closing Because Millennials Don't Like Boobs

It's always Millennials' fault.

That's the idea, at least, for why the number of Hooters in the United States has fallen by more than 7% from 2012 to 2016. It's Millennials. Specifically, it's that Millennials just don't like boobs.

There's data to back these findings up too. Millennials are less likely to seek more physically enhanced women online than say, their elder counterparts, and are attracted to a much wider range of women. Sarah Pedersen, professor of communications and media at Robert Gordon University, told Playboy, "At the moment, larger breasts are out, though I'm sure they'll come back. We tend to react to what went before."

BREAKING NEWS: Wicomico Humane Society Director Aaron Balsamo FIRED/DISMISSED

Let's start with this. This is NOT the Humane Society of Wicomico COUNTY. They are NOT County employees. It is actually called the Wicomico Humane Society.

The being said, at first glance allegedly there is over $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 abused in credit card purchases. Sources said that Aaron admitted to making massive purchases at Toys R Us and other similar type transactions. I'm told he is now claiming to have TBI, (traumatic brain injury).

Many are wondering where $100,000.00 went that was donated during the big Puppy Mill situation last year. A major forensic audit is now being arranged to see just how deep this goes.

An interim Director is now in place as Balsamo has been terminated.

NY plant released 35M gallons of untreated waste into Susquehanna

If the swollen Susquehanna River looks browner than usual, that could be due to the nearly 35 million gallons of untreated waste discharged into the river by the City of Binghamton, N.Y.

A public safety alert issued by New York officials says the discharge was due to heavy rain, construction at a waste treatment plant that was at capacity, and flood conditions.

The discharge of approximately 34,976,300 gallons of waste began Monday and lasted for almost 103 hours, or more than four days, the alert says.

The discharge came from combined sewer overflow, which collects domestic sewage, industrial wastewater and storm water runoff into a common pipe that flows into a wastewater treatment facility, according to the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).

Binghamton treats its waste at a joint-owned facility with the Village of Johnson City.

Protesters Destroy 105-Year-Old "Silent Sam" Confederate Statue At UNC-Chapel Hill

Chaos broke out Monday night as a group of around 300 demonstrators gathered at the base of Silent Sam, a Confederate memorial statue on the University of North Carolina Campus.

After covering it in gray banners to turn it into an "alternative monument" which read, in part "For a world without white supremacy," Silent Sam was pulled down just after 9:15 p.m.

Protesters were apparently working behind the covering with ropes to bring the statue down, which happened more than two hours into a rally. It fell with a loud clanging sound, and the crowd erupted in cheers.

After Silent Sam tumbled to the ground, people darted in and out of the crowd through a haze from smoke bombs. Atop the statue someone placed a black cap that said, “Do It Like Durham,” an apparent reference to the toppling of a Confederate statue there a year ago. -News Observer

After the statue had fallen, protesters rushed to the remains to take selfies and stomp on the 105-year-old monument which was erected with donations from the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Talk about a slap in the face for ALL of the other people who have had to volunteer their time. Yeah, you soft Liberals will come back in comments and say, what's the big deal. Well just sit tight till I put up other information on this event where Day is breaking just about every law out there to make this event happen. It will be posted this morning.

A Viewer Writes: Walmart North Parking Lot

Talked to a friend recently and she was asking me what is going on at Walmart Parking Lot. I said, I don't know, why?

She picks up her husband from work every night as that is where he works. She said she waits in the car for him and has observed many, many times a vehicle or bus pull up, lets out people (with suitcases). Those people hang around outside for a while, then they spot a vehicle that is picking them up and away they go. All are foreign. Is this a drop off, pick up place for illegals? Just wondering if you knew, since all this happens at night (10 or 11 pm) in Salisbury walmart parking lot.

More Local Liberal Crap Coming Your Way, WBOC To Purchase WRDE

Information has just been released in which WBOC is under contract to purchase the failing WRDE. This must have been a fire sale because WRDE was/is pretty much worthless. Nevertheless, WBOC seems to be desperate to hold a monopoly on controlling your local news, or should I say liberal brainwashing?

Jealous wants free community college for Maryland’s ‘dreamers’

Maryland Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous wants the state to cover the cost of community college tuition for ‘dreamers’ - undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.

If elected, Jealous said he plans to allocate $3 million to pay for an estimated 700 undocumented immigrants to attend community college for free. He would expand on a 2012 initiative that allowed ‘dreamers’ to receive in-state tuition at Maryland’s public colleges and universities.

“Children who came to this country, have made this place their home, and have worked hard and graduated from a Maryland high school should be given every opportunity to succeed,” Jealous said in a statement. “This isn’t just a moral issue, it’s an economic issue.”

Jealous has made college affordability a cornerstone of his campaign . For the past year, he has touted his plan to allow Maryland high school graduates to attend community college tuition-free and create a work-study program that would pay students at the four-year public colleges the equivalent of their tuition so they can graduate debt-free.

Giuliani: "The American People Would Revolt" If Trump Impeached

President Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, told Sky News on Thursday that Americans would "revolt" if Trump is impeached.

"I think impeachment would be totally horrible," Giuliani said. "There’s no reason. He didn’t collude with the Russians, he didn’t obstruct justice. Everything [Michael] Cohen says has been disproved. You’d only impeach him for political reasons. And the American people would revolt against that."

On Tuesday, Trump's former longtime attorney and self-described "fixer," Michael Cohen, said that President Trump directed him to pay off two women who claim to have had affairs with Trump over a decade ago. Cohen's attorney, Lanny Davis, says its "absolutely clear that Donald Trump committed a felony" by paying hush money to the women during the run-up to the 2016 US election.

PETA plasters anti-crab-eating billboards in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Crabs are friends, not food. That's what billboards near the Baltimore Inner Harbor are saying in an attempt to get people to go vegan.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has plastered billboards near seafood restaurants in Baltimore as part of a nationwide campaign to get seafood off people's plates.

The billboard displays a colorful blue crab and says, "I'm ME, Not MEAT. See the Individual. Go Vegan."

The posters are located near seafood restaurants such as Phillips Seafood, Mo's Fisherman's Wharf, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks, The Oceanaire Seafood Room and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.

One billboard sits atop Silver Moon II in downtown Baltimore.

"Whatever they say, 'Go vegan,' whatever, nothing is going to work," said Nick Lentis, owner of Silver Moon II.

Anne Arundel's drag community looks to build visibility with events like Drag Queen Storytime

She walked amid a sea of small faces, all turned upward.

A towering headdress of seashells, flowers and feathers held in place a long periwinkle braid. Her cream gown, tied into place with fishing net, swirled as she turned to face the crowd of bouncing toddlers at the Glen Burnie Regional Library.

“My name is Balena Canto,” she exclaimed, her whale necklace swaying as she leaned toward the packed room.

Thus began the Anne Arundel County Public Library system’s first Drag Queen Storytime.

First started in San Francisco by activist Michelle Tea, these events — where drag queens read stories to children — have spread across the country and the world.

The Glen Burnie event was part of the library’s diversity celebration, said spokeswoman Christine Feldmann, and to promote empathy and inclusion. Despite some negative pushback, more than 100 parents and children drove from across the state to attend.

University System Plans ‘Full Criminal Investigation’ After Confederate Statue Toppled

The University of North Carolina System is taking action after protesters toppled the statue of a Confederate soldier at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Monday night.

“Campus leadership is in collaboration with campus police, who are pulling together a timeline of the events, reviewing video evidence, and conducting interviews that will inform a full criminal investigation,” UNC System Board Chairman Harry Smith and UNC System President Margaret Spellings said in a statement Tuesday, adding:

The safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff are paramount. And the actions last evening were unacceptable, dangerous, and incomprehensible. We are a nation of laws—and mob rule and the intentional destruction of public property will not be tolerated.

Maxine Waters: Congress Has ‘Responsibility’ to ‘Impeach Trump’ for ‘High Crimes’

On a day when top Democrats like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tried to downplay any talk of impeaching President Donald Trump, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) declared that it is Congress’s “responsibility” to impeach Trump for “high crimes.”

Pelosi has previously said that “any discussion of impeachment” would be a “gift to Republicans” and claimed on Wednesday that impeachment is “not a priority” for Democrats.

But after Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to various campaign finance violations on Tuesday, Waters could not restrain herself, tweeting about impeachment hours after Pelosi signaled to Democrats to downplay the issue.

WRDE Finally Admits They've Been Bought Out, Anchors, "This Was News To Us"

Because SBYNews broke this story early this morning that WBOC bought out WRDE, they finally exposed the information in tonight's broadcast stating the staff had no idea, more to come in the coming weeks, they said, rolling their eyes.

Let's remember that the blonde, (don't know her name) had been hired by WRDE but was held off from going on the air for months because she was still under contract as a WBOC former employee. Hence the rolling of her eyes at the end of the broadcast.

ESPN President Says Network Will Not Televise National Anthem During NFL Games

New ESPN president Jimmy Pitaro says that the network has no plans to televise the national anthem during broadcasts of Monday Night Football.

Pitano says that the network has never broadcast the national anthem and had no plans to do so now. However, he did not say whether announcers and commentators would offer on-air opinions if there were protests by players during the anthem.

USA Today:

Pitaro, who was hired March 5 following the abrupt departure of John Skipper, told reporters at a media event on ESPN's campus in Bristol, Conn., that the network has not previously shown the national anthem during its Monday Night Football broadcasts and does not have plans to change — at least, not in the immediate future.

According to Axios, Pitaro also said that ESPN has informed the league of its plans "as (a) courtesy" given their partnership. Earlier, he had told reporters that he has spent much of his young tenure at ESPN working to strengthen the company's relationship with the NFL.

ESPN pays about $2 billion per year for the right to broadcast Monday Night Football , according to the Associated Press.

Demand For Concealed Carry Permits Is Skyrocketing

The number of concealed carry weapons (CCW) permits is soaring to new levels despite the rabid anti-gun activism following a slew of school shootings over the past year.

Issued CCW permits increased approximately 275 percent over a ten-year period, from 4.6 million permits in 2007 to over 17.25 permits in 2018, according to a study released Friday by the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC). The number has been increasing year over year and is forecast to continue trending upwards.

The most notable demographic increase was found to be among women and minorities. During the aforementioned time period, CCW issuance jumped 111 percent faster for women than for men. Moreover, compared to white individuals, permits for Asian and black individuals spiked 29 percent and 20 percent quicker, respectively.
