The problems with mail-in voting: It's not just fraud

Exclusive: Curtis Ellis envisions 'armed gangs demanding President Trump concede' in November

If you wanted to undermine faith in America's electoral system, you couldn't do better than rush to national mail-in voting.

One in four Americans is worried their ballot won't be accurately counted this year, and four in 10 worry mail-in voting could yield less reliable results, according to a newAxios-SurveyMonkey poll.

Cynicism could be the deadliest fallout from mail-in voting.

Chicago spent $66 million on a coronavirus facility that treated 38 patients ... total

Contract went to politically connected company instead of one that would waive fees

(DAILYWIRE) Chicago taxpayers spent $66 million renovating a convention center into an emergency coronavirus hospital that ended up only treating 38 patients. Further, the contract to renovate the facility went to a politically connected company instead of one that said it would waive fees or donate such money to coronavirus relief organizations.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Friday that top aides to Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot defended the decision to spend $1.7 million per patient on the renovations, calling it an “insurance policy” for the unfounded fear that Chicago’s hospitals would be overwhelmed with coronavirus patients. Samir Mayekar, deputy mayor for economic and neighborhood development, told the outlet that he was “incredibly proud of” the converted facility, adding that the millions of dollars in taxpayer money was “not spent in vain.”

Obama DESTROYS Biden in Politico article

Why Americans Should Adopt The Sweden Model On COVID-19

Figure 1 illustrates the daily mortality attributed to covid-19 in Sweden, New York, Illinois, and Texas. The figure plots the daily number of deaths per million population. This figure illustrates the rise and fall of deaths from covid-19 in four different policy environments. The data were obtained from Worldometer.
Sweden: The Control Group

Sweden (blue dots) has served as a control group to compare policies intended to decrease deaths from covid-19. Sweden has been unfairly criticized for its policy despite having an outcome more favorable than places with authoritarian lockdown policies. Sweden did not close its schools. Other than stopping gatherings of more than fifty people, the Swedish government left decisions of closing businesses, using masks, and social distancing to the Swedish people. The government encouraged the use of masks and social distancing, but there were no requirements and there were no penalties for those who declined to follow the advice. Mortality attributed to covid-19 hit a peak value of 11.38 deaths per day per million population on April 8, 2020. This mortality was matched on April 15, and mortality has decreased since then. Daily mortality has been less than one death per day per million population for the previous eighteen days. Cases are very low. For all practical purposes, the covid-19 epidemic is over in Sweden. Almost certainly herd immunity has been achieved in Sweden irrespective of any antibody test results. Testing is usually only for IgG antibody and the herd can become immune via IgA antibody or cellular mechanisms that are not detected by the usual testing. Whether covid-19 will reappear this next fall or winter remains to be seen.

CNN Poll: Biden Lead Shrinks on Convention Eve with Double-Digit Shift Trump’s Way

Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead has evaporated in the past two months, a new poll from CNN shows.

Biden leads President Donald Trump by just four points nationally — 50 percent to 46 percent — and by even less across 15 battleground states that will determine who wins the electoral college. In those 15 states — Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin — the new CNN poll has Biden leading by just one percent, with Biden at 49 and Trump at 48.

Trey Gowdy rips mainstream media for ignoring ex-FBI lawyer's expected guilty plea

He said 'it doesn't fit their narrative'

The mainstream media barely covered the expected guilty plea of former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith because it doesn't fit their narrative, Trey Gowdy, former chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said on Monday.

Gowdy, a Fox News contributor, told “Fox & Friends” on Monday that former FBI director James Comey, the Democrats and “the D.C. media belittled us for looking intoFISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] abuse.”

“They belittled us and low and behold [Justice Department Inspector General] Michael Horowitz finds two dozen instances of misconduct and now we have an indictment and a supposed guilty plea so that's why they didn't cover it,” Gowdy continued.

Outraged Democrats Pass Photo Around of Locked Mailboxes – Blame Trump — But Photo Is From 2016

In their latest coup attempt Democrats are hoping to move the entire country to mail-in voting.

Pelosi is calling the House in session later this week not to vote on assistance to the middle class but to vote on more money for the US Postal Service so they can push the country to mail-in voting.

The potential for fraud is greatly increased with mail-in voting.
Democrats know this.

A Viewer Writes: So, what has Ocean City become since 2019?

Ocean City was a tourist attraction with some very carefully manipulated and marketed events. It also has chosen NOT to market. This year, EVERY 2019 event has been canceled or moved. This (Air Show) weekend was the icing on their cake. Following a St. Luke’s Catholic mass today, Ocean City Management. OC Transportation implemented measures today to HINDER tourists AND OTHERSS from leaving. The transportation people decided to park a truck marked “Transportation” truck just at the point where visitor HAD to exist to Route 90 and turn right. No attendant, no driver, just a truck with flashers on. With all the visitors taxes, is that the best they can do? It looks like more of OC looking TO A CHICKEN PLANT to save problems the they own.

Death rates 2019 vs Death rates 2020 per week

Death rates in the United States have been going down, not up, since the beginning of the year. If you pay attention to the news, you might assume that record numbers of people are dying. The opposite is true. Not only has overall mortality for the United States been going steadily downward since January, but mortality has been substantially lower this year than last year. These are weekly mortality statistics for the United States from the Centers for Disease Control:

I’m a Former Teacher. Here’s How Your Children Are Getting Indoctrinated by Leftist Ideology.

Your children are being indoctrinated. The education system designed to teach them how to think critically has been weaponized by the radical left to push an anti-American agenda.

As someone who has worked in education for four years, I have seen firsthand how your children are being ensnared by the left and their teachers.

I worked with kids from ages 3 to 13 and saw the brainwashing that exists at all levels of education. The left uses a combination of propaganda and suppression to push kids into the ensnaring grip of socialism and anti-patriotism.

First is the propaganda. Teachers will assign work instilling the idea that the pillars of Western civilization were evil, and their memories deserve to be thrown in the trash.

National Meeting on Poultry Health, Processing, and Live Production Goes Virtual

The National Meeting on Poultry Health, Processing, and Live Production, a significant scientific and educational gathering for the U.S. chicken industry, will return Sept. 28-30. The event is customarily held in Ocean City, Md., but this year Delmarva Poultry Industry, Inc. (DPI) has made the 55th National Meeting an all-virtual event – a first in its history. This change allows anyone in the worldwide chicken community to attend three days of informative sessions from home or office for one $99 registration fee. To help Delmarva chicken growers access new insights into safe, effective live production methods delivered during the conference, DPI is offering chicken growers who are DPI members a discounted $49 registration fee.

More than 20 veterinarians, chicken company leaders, government officials, researchers, extension educators, and animal health officials will deliver presentations at the meeting on topics including supply chain disruptions, air quality impacts from animal agriculture, employee safety in the COVID-19 pandemic, robotic poultry deboning trials, platinum brooding practices, and more. Twenty-six companies supplying products and services to the chicken industry are sponsoring the conference, including platinum sponsors Merck Animal Health, Boehringer Ingelheim, Farm Credit, Aviagen, Best Veterinary Solutions, Inc., and United Animal Health, along with session panel sponsors Evonik and Zoetis. A complete agenda, as well as registration information, can be found at dpichicken.org, where quick, simple online registration is available.

““The need for cutting-edge research in poultry health, food and worker safety and animal welfare is greater now than ever before, and we are pleased to be able to continue our tradition of offering a dynamic agenda, but in a virtual setting,” said Holly Porter, DPI’s executive director. “We’re looking forward to an engaging, productive conference in a format that makes it easier than ever for the chicken community to take part in the National Meeting.”

Wisconsin Elections in COVID-19: Unpredictable, Unprecedented

In the midst of a health and economic crisis, the 2020 election is going to be completely unprecedented. While Wisconsin officials attempt to prepare as best they can, “We have literally never seen an election like this before.”

(TNS) — Unprecedented.

It’s a word that may have been overused in a bizarre year.

But when it comes to the 2020 election — and all of the possible effects of the COVID-19 pandemic — political analysts agree the nation is in store for an unprecedented campaign over the 81 days leading up to Election Day.

California Might Become the First State With a Wealth Tax

The proposed legislation would impact nearly 30,400 Californians and raise $7.5 billion for the state’s general fund. The tax would be 0.4 percent of net worth that exceeds $30 million for single and joint filers.
(TNS) — A group of state lawmakers on Thursday proposed a first-in-the-nation state wealth tax that would hit about 30,400 California residents and raise an estimated $7.5 billion for the general fund.

The tax rate would be 0.4 percent of net worth, excluding directly held real estate, that exceeds $30 million for single and joint filers and $15 million for married filing separately.

California is facing a big budget deficit because of the health and economic crisis brought on by the coronavirus, and “we can’t simply rely on austerity measures,” to close it, said Rob Bonta, D-Oakland, lead author of AB2088. “We must consider revenue generation.”

Police Chiefs Most Open to Reform Are the Ones Leaving

The cities that have been the most aggressive about demanding reform and altering policing practices are making it difficult for chiefs to carry out the desired policy changes — or even stay on the job.

Police chiefs are always carrying out a balancing act, caught between the demands for accountability from elected officials and the public on the one hand and resistance in the ranks on the other.

“You’ve got two main constituencies — you’ve got the community and you’ve got the cops,” says Chuck Wexler, executive director of the Police Executive Research Forum, a research and consulting group. “You’re not allowed to lose either of them and keep your job.”

Given the intense pressure policing is now under, a number of chiefs have lost their jobs. Last Monday, Seattle Chief Carmen Best stepped down hours after the city council voted to cut her department’s budget by $100 million (including a slight salary cut for Best herself).

STUDY: 150 TIMES More Negative News on Trump than Bidena

As the pandemic grinds on, the Big Three broadcast evening newscasts are among thehighest rated programs on television today — and that means millions of viewersare witnessing the most biased presidential campaign coverage in modern media history.

I’ve been studying the news media and elections for more than 35 years. Trust me — there’s never been anything like it.

A new MRC analysis of all evening news coverage of President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden in June and July found these networks chose to aim most of their attention and nearly all of their negative coverage on Trump, so Biden escaped any scrutiny of his left-wing policy positions, past job performance or character.

From June 1 through July 31, the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts focused 512 minutes of airtime on the President, or nine times more than the 58 minutes allotted to Biden. (This excludes coverage of the Trump administration in general when not associated with the President himself.) This is an even wider gap than the spring, when Trump received seven times more coverage than Biden (523 minutes vs. 75 minutes).

“Every American should be wearing a mask when they’re outside for the next three months at a minimum,” Biden told reporters in Wilmington, Del.

As Chicago Nears Panic, Lightfoot's Partisan Blather On National Television Only Hurts

From Hyde Park to the Gold Coast to Edgewater, residents across the city are adjusting their daily routines out of fear. They’re avoiding neighborhood walks after 6:00 p.m. At night, they don’t stand too close to their windows or dare to enjoy their outdoor balconies or terraces. Their children, who will likely be homebound for the remainder of the year, are forced to play indoors because local parks and playgrounds have been inhabited with litter, vandalism, and crime,” This is not a way to live, and I can’t fault homeowners when they tell me they’re considering leaving Chicago.

That’s from an open letter sent Wednesday by the president of Sudler, one of the biggest property management companies in Chicago, to Mayor Lori Lightfoot.

He’s hardly alone. A chorus of similar voices arose after Sunday night’s riots from a broad sector of Chicagoans. A few examples:

“The fear is spreading, the anxiety is spreading and we’re seeing individuals who used to see the downtown areas, like the crown jewel of our city, now wanting to leave…and stores who were just starting to get past the main riots and looting thinking that they may not stay on the Magnificent Mile anymore,” said Alderman Ray Lopez.

“The streets are empty and this time of year hotels would be full and the streets would be full. The rioting and violence have stopped people from coming downtown,” a Chicago business owner told “America’s Newsroom.”

“It has to stop,” Ashley Jones, a Gold Coast resident, said. “It has to come from the highest level up top. We can’t have our city looking like this.”

The head of Chicago’s Fraternal Order of Police wrote to U.S. Attorney John Lausch and Attorney General William Barr Wednesday, calling on federal officials to intervene, saying Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx applies a “presumption of dismissal” for charges related to looting.

Black Chicagoans are perhaps more fed up than anybody. Englewood residents told Black Lives Matter members to get lost when they tried to stage a protest there and, nationally, a whopping 81% of black Americans don’t want less police presence, which BLM wants.

Maybe the city got at least got some comfort Monday when Lightfoot finally showed no sympathy for the rioters and called for tougher prosecutions.

West Ocean City Trump Rally

Someone tried to put up a comment this past weekend suggesting the rally must've been a flop because Joe didn't post anything about it.

Well, no, it certainly wasn't a flop. Unless you think having around 200 people immediately before one of the biggest OC events is a flop.

I can tell you first hand that the thumbs up, horn honking and overall support was just amazing and invigorating. There's absolutely no way Biden will win. Heck, even my democratic friends refuse to vote for the guy.

MAGA TRUMP 2020!

Trump says universal mail-in voting will make America 'the laughing stock of the world' and predicts a 'catastrophic situation' as he blames Democrats for failing to reach a deal on emergency USPS funding

President Donald Trump has predicted catastrophe if states continue to pursue universal mail-in voting for the November election, saying there will be chaos and massive delays in announcing results.

'Universal mail-in voting is going to be catastrophic, it's going to make our country the laughing stock of the world,' Trump said at a press conference at his New Jersey golf club on Saturday.

Trump blamed Democrats for failing to make a deal on emergency funding for the U.S. Postal Service, which faces historic revenue shortfalls in the pandemic, and defended his new Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, who has come under heavy criticism for cost-cutting measures that have cast doubt upon the agency's ability to handle election mail on-schedule.

Mark Pulliam says Harris believes her 'hyper-progressive rhetoric,' has shown 'contempt for law enforcement'

Attorney says Democratic VP candidate 'showed her true colors' soon after election as San Francisco DA

Presumptive Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris is not the moderate the mainstream media seeks to portray her as, attorney and Federalist Society member Mark Pulliam told "Life, Liberty & Levin" in an interview airing Sunday.

"I think these days, in the age of the resistance, particularly among presidential aspirants in the Democratic Party, almost everybody espouses this type of hyper-progressive rhetoric," Pulliam, a contributing editor at "Law & Liberty," told host Mark Levin. "But in her case, if you go back to her track record from when she started her political career in California, you can see very disturbing signs that she really believes these things and that she has acted, in the past, consistently with these beliefs."

Obama Questioned Biden's Fitness for Office: 'Don’t Underestimate Joe’s Ability to F--k Things Up' [REPORT]

Joe Biden’s owes all of his current political capital to the fact that Barack Obama selected him as his running mate in 2008. His 2008 campaign barely resonated with Democratic voters. But Obama needed someone who, on paper, had something he did not: experience. So Biden was picked as his running mate, and Biden’s political stock shot up.

Biden, in turn, repeatedly name-dropped Obama during the 2020 primary campaign, and referenced their continuing close relationship.

But despite the public image (created by Biden) that Barack Obama and Joe Biden are BFFs,sources told Politico that there are significant tensions between them and their camps, and that Obama really doesn’t think too highly of Joe.

Obama also specifically questioned Biden’s fitness for office.

“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f–k things up,” Obama is alleged to have told one source for the article.

Members of the Biden team are also not too thrilled with Obama, and complained that Obama’s endorsement of Biden was weak compared to his 2016 endorsement of Hillary Clinton.

In 2016, Obama wholeheartedly endorsed Clinton, saying, “I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office.”

Compare that with Obama’s endorsement of Biden earlier this year, made only after Biden was the last candidate standing: “I believe Joe has all of the qualities we need in a president right now … and I know he will surround himself with good people.”

But tensions go deeper than Obama’s half-hearted endorsement in 2020.

Mark Meadows And CNN's Jake Tapper Clash In Heated Debate Over Mail-In Voting

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and CNN's Jake Tapper argued for more than 20 minutes on Sunday over a wide range of issues - including mail-in voting, with Meadows insisting that states which are sending 'millions of ballots' to registered voters is "just asking for a disaster."

Via Axios:

MEADOWS: The problem that we have here is that a lot of people are looking at just sending out ballots. California is sending out ballots. When they just send out ballots, my home state of North Carolina —

TAPPER: California already did that for about 75% of its population. Now it's 100%. But Utah has done it for years. Oregon has done it for years. Washington has done it for years. Now there are four states that are adding to the sending out ballots to every registered voter. I understand that that's a concern that you're claiming.

MEADOWS: "Isn't it a concern to you? Do you realize how inaccurate the voter rolls are with just people just moving around? Let alone the people that die off. But sending ballots out based on a voter roll registration? Any time you move, you change your driver's license but you don't call up and say, by the way, I'm reregistering for -- "

TAPPER: "But there's no evidence of widespread voter fraud. "

MEADOWS: "There's no evidence that there's not either. That's the definition of fraud, Jake."

FACT CHECK: Trump Never Promoted Kamala Harris Birther Story

Brian Stelter wants us to believe that anti-Trump media doesn’t exist, but on Friday, his own network published a “fact check” that claims Trump “promoted” a birther conspiracy theoryabout Kamala Harris.

“President Donald Trump spent years pushing lies about the birthplace and presidential eligibility of President Barack Obama, the first Black president,” the “fact check” begins. “On Thursday, he started floating a new birther lie about Sen. Kamala Harris, who, if elected, would be the first Black and Asian American vice president.”

Spoiler alert: He did no such thing.

Here’s a transcript of Trump’s exchange with a reporter about the story.

Joe Biden Alienated Black Voters by Picking Kamala Harris

When presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden chose Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) as his running mate, he may have known he was alienating conservatives and moderates, but he likely didn’t anticipate alienating black voters. According to a groundbreaking poll from Rasmussen Reports, Biden’s VP pick has given black voters second thoughts about supporting the Democratic ticket in November.

The latest Rasmussen poll found that a third of black likely voters said they are “less likely” to vote for Biden after the Harris pick, while a third said they were “more likely” to do so, and another third either said the VP pick will have no impact or their votes or that they weren’t sure what impact it will have.

About a quarter (24 percent) of all likely voters said Biden’s VP pick would make them more likely to vote for the Democrats in November, while another quarter (24 percent) said it will make them less likely to vote for Biden. Half (50 percent) said Harris would make no impact on their vote.

The vast majority of likely Democratic voters (76 percent) said they had a favorable opinion of Harris, with 48 percent calling their opinion of her “very favorable.” Only 18 percent had an unfavorable view.

President Trump's brother Robert Trump dead at 71

Robert Trump, President Trump’s younger brother, who served as a top executive at the Trump Organization, has died. He was 71.

Robert’s death on Saturday comes a day after he was hospitalized in New York Friday. In June, he spent more than a week in the intensive care unit at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Robert took blood thinners, and had suffered brain bleeds since a recent fall, a close friend to the family told The New York Times.

“It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight,” the president said in a statement.

“He was not just my brother, he was my best friend,” he went on. “He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever.

“Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”
