Angry liberal steals student’s MAGA hat, threatens his life

A nine-minute video that is now going viral shows a leftist student stealing another student’s Make America Great Again hat and verbally accosting the College Republican student in the Student Life Office at the University of California-Riverside.

The video starts off with Matthew Vitale, the External Vice President of the UC-Riverside College Republicans, saying, “You stole my property. My Make America Great Again hat!” as he followed the unidentified, angry leftist into the campus student life office. Believing Vitale will be punished, she turns the hat over to the staff. Instead, the office staff tries to de-escalate the situation while the hat thief rants about genocide and privilege.

“Hey y’all, so this guy thought it would be a good idea to go into the conference wearing this f*cking hat,” she says to the front desk.

Millennial Congresswoman: Free college isn’t working in New York

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) is the youngest women in history to serve in the United States Congress. Elected at age 30, she is now in her second term at age 33. Stefanik is aware of the day-to-day challenges millennials face and serves as the voice for young people by heading up the House GOP Millennial Task Force. In an interview with Red Alert Politics, she discussed the concerns she sees with college affordability and student loan debt.

Free college programs have seen a spike in popularity following Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign. This fall, Stefanik’s home state of New York now offers free tuition for in-state residents who attend the New York State or City college. The program costs the state millions and Stefanik warns against this free-for-all type of spending.

“Well, you’re going to have to pay for it somehow, and often times that translates into higher taxes and a bigger portion of the budget. I do think that it hasn’t worked as it was proposed in New York state,” she said.

Studies have shown that free college solutions are costly and often help traditional students, more so than providing additional resources to low-income students who utilize already existing aid to cover the cost of college. Non-traditional students are defined as students who need the most financial assistance as undergraduates who often have dependents or work full-time and attend school part-time.

Actual law school courses: “Social Justice Lawyering” and “First Amendment Fundamentalism”

University of Miami (UM) School of Law is teaching future lawyers how to advocate for social justice, amongst other left-wing causes.

One course, Social Justice Lawyering, “explores the role of lawyers in work for social change.” According to its online course description, students learn of the histories of social justice lawyering while also examining modern day causes.

A more specific course, Immigration Law, covers “foundations of the immigration power” and “substantive provisions and procedures governing admission and exclusion” as well as “refugees and political asylum; judicial review; and the evolving meaning and value of citizenship.” It is accompanied with a two-semester, six credit Immigration Clinic.

The Coral Gables law school also offers courses in Climate Change and Environmental Justice. The course in climate change covers topics including “the intersection of human rights and climate change.” The latter course focuses on “advocacy and transactional assistance to low- and moderate-income communities discriminated against by public and private actors in the fields of civil rights.”

Trump: Tax reform will 'end the era of economic surrender'

President Trump told business leaders Friday that Republicans' proposed tax reform package would "end the era of economic surrender," blaming the current tax code as the "primary reason" why businesses moved overseas and outsourced labor abroad.

Trump noted that the top corporate tax rate, more than 39 percent, is the "least competitive" one among developed nations and is crippling U.S. industry. "How do you compete? Well, many of them don't. They move overseas," Trump said at a meeting of the National Association of Manufacturers Friday.

"It is time to go from dead last to pretty much the front of the pack. We won't have the lowest rate, but we'll be pretty close," he said.

The president promised that the tax reform package would provide "rebirth" of American industry. "We will cap your top tax rate at a maximum of 25 percent. This will be the lowest top marginal income tax rate for small and medium-sized businesses in more than 80 years. This huge tax cut will be rocket fuel for our economy."

Health App Developer Who Faked Her Own Cancer Fined $320,000 Over Hoax

After Belle Gibson was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013 she went on to cure herself, and released a popular smartphone app focused on healthy eating. Gibson even donated a small fortune to charity with the proceeds. At least that was her story. Both Gibson’s cancer and her “cure” were lies. And now a court has ordered her to pay a hefty fine.

Gibson, a 25-year-old Australian woman, built a health and wellness empire by not only pretending to have brain cancer, but then claiming to have cured her cancer with what she claimed were all-natural remedies. Gibson said that much of the proceeds from her cookbook and app, The Whole Pantry, would go to various charities. But that didn’t happen.

“No. None of it’s true,” Gibson finally confessed in April 2015 after questions were raised about her story. “I don’t want forgiveness. I just think [speaking out] was the responsible thing to do.”

Feds Slap Tree Company With $95 Million Penalty For Hiring Illegal Aliens

A national tree services company will have to pay a a record fine after admitting that it engaged in a scheme to hire illegal aliens, federal prosecutors announced Thursday.

Asplundh Tree Expert Co., a suburban Philadelphia-based contractor that trims and removes trees around power lines, pleaded guilty Thursday to a federal criminal charge and was ordered to pay a total of $95 million, the biggest penalty ever levied in an immigration case.

Federal Judge John R. Padova ordered the company to pay a criminal forfeiture judgment of $80 million, plus a $15 million civil penalty to satisfy additional civil claims for failure to follow immigration law.

Asplundh hired thousands of unauthorized workers between 2010 and 2014, using knowingly fraudulent identification documents, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in Philadelphia. Prosecutors said the company’s upper management was “willfully blind,” while mid-level regional supervisors knowingly violated immigration law and hired illegal aliens.

WaPo Omitted Key Details From Its Hit Piece On Another Cabinet Member’s Jet Travel

The Washington Post omitted key details from a piece criticizing Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s charter of a $12,000 private flight after giving a speech to a hockey team coached by a former campaign donor.

The news comes as Health Secretary Tom Price promised to partially pay taxpayers for chartering $400,000 worth of private flights. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt has also come under fire for chartering private flights.

WaPo was quick to point out that the private plane was owned by oil and gas executives and chartered though an independent company, Choice Aviation LLC, at a cost of $12,375 to taxpayers. The flight was paid for out of the Department of the Interior’s (DOI) budget.

But WaPo writers didn’t mention that Choice Aviation has been contracting with the DOI since 2014, according to E&E News. The company is contracted to transport officials when needed, and also assists with firefighting and surveying federal lands.

Clinton Will Support A Woman For President On One Condition

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday evening that she would support a woman for president if that candidate was a like-minded Democrat.

“I just hope she’s someone I agree with, so I can support her,” Clinton told a crowd in Toronto Thursday evening.

The former 2016 Democratic nominee for president also said that the only way to extricate sexism from politics is to have more women run for office. It does not appear Clinton would throw her weight behind a candidate simply because she is a woman. The candidate also needs to share her views on politics and policy, which are definitively on the left-side of the American political spectrum.

Clinton blamed women who didn’t vote for her in 2016 on misogyny, claiming they listened to the men in their lives on who to support.

“All of a sudden, the husband turns to the wife, ‘I told you, she’s going to be in jail. You don’t wanna waste your vote.’ The boyfriend turns to the girlfriend and says, ‘She’s going to get locked up, don’t you hear? She’s going to get locked up,” Clinton told Vox in September. “Instead of saying, ‘I’m taking a chance, I’m going to vote,’ it didn’t work.”

Texans QB Donates Paycheck to 3 Team Workers Who Lost Homes and Cars in Hurricane Harvey

It has been stunning to contrast the way the citizens of the United States have rallied to help one another after the horrific one-two punch Mother Nature recently gave the country in hurricane form with "divided country" mantra that is repeated by the MSM. Most perplexing, however, is that the very people who bring us the good news are also not stopping with the talk of division. The need to keep the approved narrative afloat is so powerful with American media types that they ignore what is in front of them.

So please enjoy this good news, courtesy of the Houston Texans' rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson, who decided to try and help out some of the team's cafeteria workers.

Anal Cancer: The New Gay Epidemic the Media Won't Talk About

The Los Angeles Times calls anal cancer "the next big crisis" for the gay community.According to the American Cancer Society, the future looks grim.

The American Cancer Society estimates there will be 8,200 new anal cancer cases in 2017. In the absence of national screening recommendations, more than 50 percent of these individuals will be diagnosed at stage III or IV, when five-year survival is less than 40 percent. This creates a major public health concern.

The study shows that anal cancer comes from the sexually transmitted virus HPV. What it doesn't mention is why the gay community is so susceptible to contracting HPV. Perhaps the answer is too politically incorrect for the L.A. Times.NBC reported on a similar study that was done in Hawaii involving women who contracted anal HPV. They danced around the cause in an almost laughable way.

It’s not clear exactly how the women contracted anal HPV. Those who developed infections were more likely to be young and white, with lower levels of education and income and a history of multiple sexual partners, the study showed. Women who engaged in anal sex were also at higher risk, though transmission could have occurred in other, non-sexual, ways...The findings are important because anal HPV infection is strongly linked with anal cancer...

Really? Non-sexual ways? What ways are those? The article does not elaborate but goes out of its way to deny the very findings discovered!

Westboro Baptist Cult Lunatics Join NFL #TakeAKnee Protests

This can't be the kind of unity the NFL was hoping for. It appears that the mentally unstable Westboro Baptist clan is thrilled with the NFL and is publicly supporting their decision to trample all over our flag during their pre-game protests.

Contrary to the NFL's constant denial that the #TakeAKnee protests are unpatriotic or disrespectful to our nation, the Westboro cult members, who are known America-haters, see it differently and have found their soulmates in the NFL. Sending a message directly to the NFL and Jerry Jones, the cultists encouraged the continued degradation of our country on prime time.

"Westboro Baptist Church takes a seat for the entirety of the national anthem!" they cheerily posted on Twitter. It's fitting that the most hated cult in America is now supporting the most hated sport. Serendipitous.

Air Force Academy Leader: Racists 'Need to Get Out' After Slurs Left on Black Cadets' Rooms

The head of the Air Force Academy told racists in the ranks to "get out" after racial slurs were found written on the message boards on the doors of the dorm rooms of five African-American cadet candidates this week.

One of the cadet candidates's mothers posted a photo on Facebook of the write-on, wipe-off board on which her son found the message "go home n---er."

“These young people are supposed to bond and protect each other and the country," the mother wrote, according to Air Force Times. "Who would my son have to watch out for? The enemy or the enemy?”

“The word has zero power in my house,” the young man's father told the paper. “Zero power. The word is not going to yield a reaction. My initial advice to him was, respond with intelligence, do not react, do not get upset. You don‘t have to defend intelligence, you don’t have to defend common sense, you don’t have to defend confidence. He’s fine.”

Neil Gorsuch Under Fire for Speaking Engagement

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch is under fire at the moment. His sin? A speaking engagement with the Federalist Society.

In and of itself, the engagement shouldn't be a big deal. Gorsuch isn't the first justice to take on a speaking gig while on the Supreme Court, nor will he be the last. He's not even the first Supreme Court justice to speak to the Federalist Society. From RedState:

Today, Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch is the headliner at a meeting of the Federalist Society. This should not be big news. Supreme Court justices of all ideological stripes have given the keynote speech a Federalist Society meetings.

Justice Elena Kagan, who was nominated by President Barack Obama in 2010, spoke at a Federalist Society event in 2005 and during her remarks reportedly said, “I love the Federalist Society.”

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, nominated by Obama in 2009, addressed a meeting of the Federalist Society that year.

Justices Stephen Breyer, Anthony Kennedy, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg have all addressed Federalist Society meetings, as have Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and John Roberts.

How the Trump Justice Department is Defending Free Speech

By filing a 'statement of interest' in an upcoming court case involving "free speech zones" on campus.

“The American university was once the center of academic freedom,” said Attorney General Jeff Sessions in his speech at the Georgetown Law Center this week. It was “a place of robust debate, a forum for the competition of ideas.” But over the years it has become “an echo chamber of political correctness and homogeneous thought, a shelter for fragile egos.

Sessions called for “a national recommitment to free speech on campus.” Administrators and faculty would defend free expression “boldly and unequivocally,” he said, and the Justice Department would do its part by enforcing federal law, defending free speech, and protecting “students’ free expression”—of all points of view.

As a demonstration of its intentions, the Justice Department has filed a “Statement of Interest” in a campus free speech case from Georgia Gwinnett College that is almost unpronounceable: Uzuegbunam v. Preczewski. At issue is the constitutionality of a school policy that limits student expressive activity to two very small “free-speech zones. Sessions said there would be more such filings, and a department officer confirmed that there would be a second next week.

Federal law provides for the not widely known Statement of Interest. It says that the attorney general may send any officer of the department to any state or federal district to attend to the interests of the United States in a suit pending in a federal or state court.

Ed Klein: Hillary Still Has Hopes for 2020 - Dems 'Want Her to Go Away'

Ed Klein, author of the new book “Guilty as Sin: Uncovering New Evidence of Corruption and How Hillary Clinton and the Democrats Derailed the FBI Investigation,” said Hillary Clinton was still holding out for the 2020 election and hoping to work her “Clinton magic” to get into the White House.

Klein, speaking on New York AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” said Clinton hopes the Democratic Party will look at their nominees for the 2020 election and then turn to her, but he has heard a different tune from Democrats, who simply “want her to go away.”

“She, I believe from talking to people around her, still has the hopes that the Clinton magic … will come back in 2020. And when the party looks at all the nominees, they will go back to her,” he told host John Catsimatidis.

Middle East Refugees to Begin Arriving to U.S. from Australia

The first group of 1,250 mostly male Middle Eastern refugees is expected to soon arrive in the United States from Australia. The transfer of refugees comes after President Trump failed to shutter an Obama-era deal that could bring tens of thousands of the refugees’ family members to the U.S. in years to come.

President Barack Obama signed the Australian-U.S. refugee deal during his last months in office — promising to take 1,250 Middle Eastern refugees off Australia’s hands.

The refugees are being held in detention centers on Manus Island and Nauru Island. Despite Trump’s original statement calling the deal “a dumb deal,” the president has now broken two long-promised campaign pledges: Throwing out deals that don’t benefit Americans and stopping the flow of foreign refugees.

According to NPR, roughly 50 foreign refugees are now on their way to the U.S. The other 1,200 are expected to follow soon after.

Ron Paul: "What Did Washington Achieve In Its Six Year War On Syria?"

Now that the defeat of ISIS in Syria appears imminent, with the Syrian army clearing out some of the last ISIS strongholds in the east,Washington’s interventionists are searching for new excuses to maintain the illegal US military presence in the country.

Their original rationale for intervention has long been exposed as another lie.

Remember that President Obama initially involved the US military in Iraq and Syria to “prevent genocide” of the Yazidis and promised the operation would not drift into US “boots on the ground.” That was three years ago and the US military became steadily more involved while Congress continued to dodge its Constitutional obligations. The US even built military bases in Syria despite having no permission to do so! Imagine if Syria started building military bases here in the US against our wishes.

After six years of war the Syrian government has nearly defeated ISIS and al-Qaeda and the US-backed “moderates” turned out to be either Islamist extremists or Kurdish soldiers for hire. According to a recent report, the US has shipped two billion dollars worth of weapons to fighters in Syria via eastern Europe. Much of these weapons ended up in the hands of ISIS directly, or indirectly through “moderates” taking their weapons with them while joining ISIS or al-Qaeda.

“Assad must go,” proclaimed President Obama back in 2011, as he claimed that the Syrian leader was committing genocide against his own people and that regime change was the only way to save Syrians. Then earlier this year, when eastern Aleppo was about to be liberated by the Syrian government, the neocons warned that Assad would move in and kill all the inhabitants. They warned that the population of eastern Aleppo would flee from the Syrian army. But something very different happened. According to the UN’s International Organization for Migration, 600,000 refugees returned to Syria by August. Half of the returnees went back to Aleppo, where we were told Assad was waiting to kill them.

Gregg Jarrett: Las Vegas shooting -- Uninformed Hillary shamelessly politicizes Nevada tragedy

Hillary Clinton never misses a chance to exploit a tragedy for her own personal and political gain.

Ever the hypocrite, she urged Americans to “put politics aside.” Then she proceeded to immediately inject politics into the catastrophic shooting in Las Vegas.

Clinton knew she could not call for a ban of a weapon already banned by law. The fully automatic weapon allegedly used by gunman, Stephen Paddock, was made illegal under federal law back in 1986.

So Clinton invented an ancillary argument that more people would have died if Paddock had used a “silencer.” Survivors were still being treated when she began condemning the National Rifle Association and attacking the law on “silencers.”

White House and Equifax Agree: Social Security Numbers Should Go

The Trump administration is exploring ways to replace the use of Social Security numbers as the main method of assuring people’s identities in the wake of consumer credit agency Equifax Inc.’s massive data breach.

The administration has called on federal departments and agencies to look into the vulnerabilities of employing the identifier tied to retirement benefits, as well as how to replace the existing system, according to Rob Joyce, special assistant to the president and White House cybersecurity coordinator.

“I feel very strongly that the Social Security number has outlived its usefulness,” Joyce said Tuesday at a cyber conference in Washington organized by the Washington Post. “Every time we use the Social Security number you put it at risk.”

Joyce’s comments came as former Equifax CEO Richard Smith testified before the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the first of four hearings this week on Capitol Hill. Lawmakers from both parties expressed outrage over the size of the breach as well as the company’s response, and grilled Smith on the timeline of the incident, including when top executives learned about it.

Smith said the rising number of hacks involving Social Security numbers have eroded its security value.

Facebook Accused of Influencing Election, Zuck Begs for Forgiveness

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently made a post to social media begging for forgiveness over accusations that Facebook may have influenced the 2016 election.

The Hill reports that Mark Zuckerberg took to Facebook this week to beg for forgiveness for the role that his social media platform may have played in getting President Trump elected. In a post on his personal Facebook page, Zuckerberg discussed the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, “tonight concludes Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year for Jews when we reflect on the past year and ask forgiveness for our mistakes,” said Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg continued to say, “for those I hurt this year, I ask forgiveness and I will try to be better. For the ways my work was used to divide people rather than bring us together, I ask forgiveness and I will work to do better.” This seems to be a reference to recent accusations that Facebook was used to interfere in the 2016 U.S. election after it was revealed that Russian sources had purchased approximately $100,000 worth of Facebook ads discussing a range of topics, reportedly designed to cause arguments and sow division amongst Facebook users.

Why did cops take so long to stop Las Vegas shooter?

An Iraq war veteran who was staying in the same hotel as the Las Vegas gunman is demanding to know why it took more than an hour for the cops to take him down.

Police received their first report of gunfire at the Route 91 Harvest festival, in Las Vegas at 10.08pm on Sunday.

But it was another 72 minutes before SWAT teams finally burst into Stephen Paddock's room at the Mandalay Bay to find the suspect had shot himself dead moments earlier.

The most concerning issue is there appears to have been an unexplained 24 minute delay, where SWAT teams were armed and ready to go outside Paddock's room, but waited until 11.21pm to enter.

Now Chris Bethel, who was in a room just a couple floors below the shooter at the Mandalay Bay, is questioning why it took so long for the cops to stop Paddock who shot dead 59 and injured 527 in the most deadly mass shooting in American history.

Sorry Hillary Clinton, a suppressor would not have helped Stephen Paddock hurt more people in Las Vegas

The tragic massacre in Las Vegas which left nearly 60 dead and hundreds wounded has reignited calls for gun control. None other than Hillary Clinton called for as much in a series of tweets.

Clinton is referring to the Hearing Protection Act, which would, among other things, eliminate a $200 tax on firearm suppressors. The tweet is transparent political opportunism, but the underlying logic manifests a dangerous and fundamental misunderstanding of the situation.

The Las Vegas shooting is a tragedy, and a senseless loss of human life. The politicization of such a tragedy, especially so soon after the event, is reprehensible. However, the ideas espoused by Clinton and other gun control advocates are dangerous, misleading, politically-motivated, and necessitate a reasoned response.

At first bluff, Clinton's contention that a suppressor ("silencer" is a misnomer – there is no way to "silence" the delivery of almost 2,000 joules of energy) would have made the Vegas shooter deadlier might seem intuitive. After all, the natural reaction of anyone is to run away from the sound of gunfire. However, two things render her contention inane: echoes, and how suppressors actually work.

Many reports of the shooting indicate the crowd fleeing, and scrambling for cover "amid chaos and confusion about where the shots were coming from." Yes, even though Paddock's weapon was unsupressed, the people on the street were unable to discern where the shots were coming from by the sound. The reason why is clear: Watch any video where the gunshots can be heard, the echoes are equally deafening and bounce off buildings, down alleys, and off the pavement. The chaotic cacophony of urban gunfighting is the very reason law enforcement and the military have depended on sophisticatedgunfire location systems for years.

To put it simply: A suppressor makes little difference in determining the direction of the sound.

Next, the use of the term "silencer" is a signal that the speaker is understandably misinformed about how firearm suppressors work. A typical firearm suppressor will reduce the muzzle report by about 30 decibels.

China’s Secret Military Plan: Invade Taiwan by 2020

China has drawn up secret military plans to take over the island of Taiwan by 2020, an action that would likely lead to a larger U.S.-China conventional or nuclear war, according to newly-disclosed internal Chinese military documents.

The secret war plan drawn up by the People's Liberation Army (PLA), the Chinese Communist Party's armed forces, calls for massive missile attacks on the island, along with a naval and air blockade that is followed by amphibious beach landing assaults using up to 400,000 troops.

The plans and operations are outlined in a new book published this week, The Chinese Invasion Threat by Ian Easton, a China affairs analyst with the Project 2049 Institute, a think tank.

The danger of a Taiwan conflict has grown in recent years even as current tensions between Washington and Beijing are mainly the result of U.S. opposition to Chinese militarization in the South China Sea and China's covert support of North Korea's nuclear and missile programs.

"Of all the powder kegs out there, the potential for a war over Taiwan is by far the largest and most explosive," the 290-page book states, adding that the growing likelihood of a war over Taiwan will dominate worries within the Pentagon for years to come.

Blacks, Crime, and the Bended Knee

Fresh off the heels of the march on Charlottesville and the destruction of historical monuments in the South by Black Lives Matter, protests are occurring; this time it is against our National Anthem and our flag in stadiums across our country. “Taking the knee“ was first introduced by former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick about a year ago, but has since gained in momentum as many other black athletes with million-dollar salaries have joined in solidarity with demonstrations against white oppression and racism.

Whites comprise about 75 percent of America's population and they have had just about enough of the offensive accusations, protests, and moral outrage directed at them. Yes, blacks were brought here centuries ago as slaves, but America did not originate slavery nor do we still practice slavery, as do parts of Africa and Muslim nations today. In fact, America fought a civil war to end slavery. It's been over 150 years since the Emancipation Proclamation, thus, the fate of today's blacks rests not upon yesterday's slaveholders, but upon today's failed black leadership who have intentionally kept America's blacks on an imaginary plantation through the indoctrination of victimhood. By instilling the notion that blacks today are the victims of white racism and "white privilege", black leadership (Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, and Maxine Waters, to name a few) have created not only an entitlement mentality, but a dependency and helplessness prevalent among young blacks in inner cities throughout the country.

It is not “whitey” who is committing 62 percent of robberies, 57 percent of murders, 45 percent of assaults in the 75 biggest counties throughout the United States. Despite comprising only about 15 percent of the population in those counties. 91 percent of blacks are murdered by other blacks. Blacks comprise 10 percent of the population, but commit 42 percent of the robberies and 34 percent of felonies. In a report from the Department of Justice, over a 30-year period between 1980 and 2008, blacks committed half of all homicides in the United States despite comprising only 13 percent of the population. https://www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/factcheck-black-americans-commit-crime

Thousands of car enthusiasts will soon be arriving in Ocean City for Endless Summer Cruisin’ set to begin October 5. The Ocean City Police Department would like to remind visitors of several traffic regulations and local ordinances in anticipation of the event.

Common traffic violations officers see during motor events include speeding, reckless driving, negligent driving, spinning wheels, and placing injurious substances on the roadway. These violations carry fines ranging from $70 to up to $530 and up to six points assessed by the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration to your driver’s license. In addition, effective October 1, the practice of intentionally emitting black exhaust at a person or vehicle, commonly referred to as “rolling coal”, can result in a fine up to $500.

“When motor events such as Endless Summer Cruisin’ come to town, our roadways quickly become very congested, causing unavoidable traffic delays,” commented Police Chief Ross Buzzuro. “I encourage all residents and visitors to use caution and drive carefully to ensure that everyone stays safe on the roadways.”

Visitors are also reminded of local municipal ordinances, such as trailer parking. Trailers are not permitted to park on any public street or paved public lot without a permit from May 1 through October 31. Endless Summer Cruisin’ participants may purchase a $50 permit from the event promoter. Limited paid trailer parking is available on the 100thStreet gravel lot and limited free trailer parking is available at the West Ocean City Park & Ride beginning at noon on September 29 until noon on October 9.

Spectators are advised to keep public sidewalks clear for pedestrian traffic. Also, open containers on public property, including public sidewalks, streets and alleyways, are strictly prohibited. Anyone violating this municipal ordinance is subject to a $100 fine. “We are expecting yet another safe and successful Endless Summer Cruisin’ weekend as long as visitors continue to respect our town and our laws and local ordinances,” continued Chief Buzzuro.

With the increased number of visitors in mind, allied agencies will be in Ocean City to assist including the Maryland State Police, Maryland Transportation Authority, Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, and Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Finally, visitors can expect traffic delays throughout the weekend. Drivers are reminded to use caution, refrain from texting while driving and be aware of pedestrians. Pedestrians are reminded to Walk Smart, use crosswalks, and wait for the signal to change before crossing.

How the Elderly Lose Their Rights

For years, Rudy North woke up at 9 a.m. and read the Las Vegas Review-Journal while eating a piece of toast. Then he read a novel—he liked James Patterson and Clive Cussler—or, if he was feeling more ambitious, Freud. On scraps of paper and legal notepads, he jotted down thoughts sparked by his reading. “Deep below the rational part of our brain is an underground ocean where strange things swim,” he wrote on one notepad. On another, “Life: the longer it cooks, the better it tastes.”

Rennie, his wife of fifty-seven years, was slower to rise. She was recovering from lymphoma and suffered from neuropathy so severe that her legs felt like sausages. Each morning, she spent nearly an hour in the bathroom applying makeup and lotions, the same brands she’d used for forty years. She always emerged wearing pale-pink lipstick. Rudy, who was prone to grandiosity, liked to refer to her as “my amour.”

On the Friday before Labor Day, 2013, the Norths had just finished their toast when a nurse, who visited five times a week to help Rennie bathe and dress, came to their house, in Sun City Aliante, an “active adult” community in Las Vegas. They had moved there in 2005, when Rudy, a retired consultant for broadcasters, was sixty-eight and Rennie was sixty-six. They took pride in their view of the golf course, though neither of them played golf.

Rudy chatted with the nurse in the kitchen for twenty minutes, joking about marriage and laundry, until there was a knock at the door. A stocky woman with shiny black hair introduced herself as April Parks, the owner of the company A Private Professional Guardian. She was accompanied by three colleagues, who didn’t give their names. Parks told the Norths that she had an order from the Clark County Family Court to “remove” them from their home. She would be taking them to an assisted-living facility. “Go and gather your things,” she said.

Rennie began crying. “This is my home,” she said.

Report: Antifa Receiving Military Training in Syria - Vegas Shooter's Girlfriend Travelled to Middle East

Even after ISIS takes responsibility, MSM fights to cover up Islamic link just like San Bernardino

Editor’s Note:
Just like the Pulse nightclub massacre, the San Bernardino attack and the 2009 Ft. Hood shooting, the mainstream media is doing everything it can to cover up the connection between Islamic terrorism and major massacres on US soil. Establishment reporters are even claiming it’s “fake news” that ISIS took responsibility for the attack – even though they did take responsibility for the attack. The following article reveals the dark triad of Antifa, Kurdish members of ISIS and anarcho-communists Kurds – and by implication why a country music festival – the bastion of flyover-country Americana – was targeted. For background, read this RELATED article first: FBI Source: Vegas Shooter Found with Antifa Literature, Photos Taken in Middle East.

Members of Antifa are illegally crossing the Syrian border to receive military training from Kurdish militias as part of a dark triad between Antifa, anarcho-communist Kurds and Kurdish members of ISIS.

The US-backed Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) has anarcho-communist politics which has attracted American and European Antifa tofight alongside them in what they refer to as “the Rojova revolution.”

Security agencies are concerned that these Antifa members will continue the “revolution at home” once they return. Already FBI sources haverevealed Antifa literature and photos taken in the Middle East which were found in the hotel room of suspected Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock.

Predictably and Despicably, Dems Exploit Vegas to Push Gun Control

Not even waiting for all the facts, Democrats use the suffering to push their agenda.

The nation’s worst shooting massacre happened Sunday night in Las Vegas, where 59 people attending a country music concert were murdered and more than 500 wounded. Jason Aldean was performing when the assailant opened fire from his 32nd floor hotel room. This was a horrendous act of mass murder — what President Donald Trump correctly called “pure evil.” It’s a grim reminder that evil human beings will go to extreme measures to inflict pain and suffering on others.

As evil as this massacre was, gun controllers took to the microphone before any facts surrounding this atrocity were unveiled. Leftists immediately screamed about how their preferred policies would have prevented this tragedy without presenting any facts to back up their claim.

What follows is a litany of lies from many leftists using this tragedy to advance their agenda to strip Liberty from law-abiding citizens.

After trotting out a series of completely bogus statistics, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi pontificated in a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan, “Congress has a moral duty to address this horrific and heartbreaking epidemic. Charged with the solemn duty to protect and defend the American people, we must respond to these tragedies with courage, unity and decisive action.” By which she means to pass left-wing anti-gun legislation curtailing the Second Amendment.

Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy from Connecticut insisted, “This must stop. … It is positively infuriating that my colleagues in Congress are so afraid of the gun industry that they pretend there aren’t public policy responses to this epidemic.” He added, “The thoughts and prayers of politicians are cruelly hollow if they are paired with continued legislative indifference. It’s time for Congress to get off its a— and do something.”

Connecticut’s other Democrat senator, Richard Blumenthal, added, “It has been barely a year since what was previously the largest mass shooting in American history — the deadly attack at Pulse nightclub. … In the interim, thousands more have been lost to the daily, ruthless toll of gun violence. Still, Congress refuses to act. I am more than frustrated. I am furious!”

Trump Consistently Impressive on Judicial Nominations

President Donald Trump’s focus on the judicial system did not end with his nomination and the subsequent confirmation of Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court. During his campaign, Trump promised to nominate “constitutional conservatives” to the courts, and he has been consistent in fulfilling that pledge. On Thursday, the White House announced another batch of judicial nominees — its eighth batch so far.

Trump has now made 18 nominations to the appellate courts, 29 to district courts and three to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. The White House has been aided in its vetting of nominees by the Federalist Society, described by The Wall Street Journal as “a national clearinghouse for conservative legal talent.”

The bad news is that the Senate has thus far only managed to confirm four nominees to the appellate courts, as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democrats have pulled out every delay tactic in the book to slow down the confirmation process. Schumer is playing the delay game, attempting to limit the number of judges confirmed before the 2018 election with the hopes of Democrats regaining majority control of the Senate.

As the Supreme Court swings back into action this week, there are rumors that Justice Anthony Kennedy, age 81, could retire after this current term. Kennedy has famously been known as the court’s “swing” member for having a history of sided with both conservative and liberal members on a range of high-profile cases. If Kennedy were to retire, Trump is sure to continue his form and nominate a solidly constitutional conservative justice. As with Gorsuch, Democrats are sure to throw everything they have to stop it.

Speaking of the Supreme Court, the justices will be taking up several important cases this term..

Former Abortion Workers Speak Out

As Congress takes up a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks, a group of former clinic employees are speaking out against Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry.

Four former workers—two managers and one health educator at Planned Parenthood and a former nurse at a Louisiana abortion clinic—spoke out against what they say are common practices inside the industry. The group argued abortion providers are motivated by profit and lacked the counseling capacity to serve patients.

"If [a] pregnancy test was positive, the following morning she was scheduled to come in for counseling. We didn't tell her we were scheduling her in to come and get an abortion, but when she came in that morning, she was scheduled for an abortion," nurse Shelley Guillory says in the three-minute video. "The counseling was done by a phlebotomist—it was never ever done by a licensed professional. Usually by the time myself or the doctor arrived, the counseling was already completed."

Former Planned Parenthood manager Annette Lancaster said the organization seeks to speed the process along, in order to build the momentum toward abortion, rather than adoption or other services.

Pence’s chief of staff floats ‘purge’ of anti-Trump Republicans

Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff railed against congressional leaders in closed-door remarks to wealthy donors and called for a “purge” if GOP lawmakers don’t quickly rally behind President Donald Trump’s agenda.

In remarks at a Republican National Committee event at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington on Tuesday morning, Nick Ayers also warned that Republicans are “on track to get shellacked” in next year’s midterm elections if GOP lawmakers don’t pass Trump’s legislative priorities.

But Ayers reserved his harshest criticism for congressional leaders and members who have not offered full-throated support for the president.

“Just imagine the possibilities of what can happen if our entire party unifies behind him? If — and this sounds crass — we can purge the handful of people who continue to work to defeat him,” Ayers said, according to an audio recording of the remarks obtained by POLITICO.

“I’m not speaking on behalf of the president or vice president when I say this,” Ayers responded. “But if I were you, I would not only stop donating, I would form a coalition of all the other major donors, and just say two things.

We’re definitely not giving to you, number one. And number two, if you don’t have this done by Dec. 31, we’re going out, we’re recruiting opponents, we’re maxing out to their campaigns, and we’re funding super PACs to defeat all of you.”

Rival investors seek to stop Chinese takeover of Chicago Stock Exchange

A group of U.S. investors hoping to buy the Chicago Stock Exchange is lobbying Congress to torpedo a rival, Chinese-backed acquisition proposal that is stalled at the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Lobbyists representing “Exchange Capital LLC,” a special-purpose entity for a private-equity investor group, said they helped generate a Sept. 26 letter led by Rep. Robert Pittenger (R-N.C.) to the SEC raising "serious concerns" over the CHX acquisition.

Exchange Capital is being represented by Adam Olsen of Sconset Strategies and Chas Thomas of Thorn Run Partners. Thomas is a former Pittenger staffer.

Both lobbyists said they also asked members of the Senate Banking Committee to voice concerns with the CHX deal at a hearing with SEC Chairman Jay Clayton on Tuesday.

Olsen and Thomas declined to identify the rival investors for CHX, only saying that they are all American.

“I represent a group of substantial American investors who are interested in potentially acquiring the Chicago Stock Exchange,” Olsen said. “And we have been working with the relevant members of the House and Senate committees to further that goal.”

Gender Identity: Why All the Confusion?

40 percent of US cancers linked to excess weight

About 40 percent of all cancers in the United States -- more than 630,000 in all -- are associated with excess weight, health officials said Tuesday, urging a renewed focus on prevention.

In a nation where 71 percent of adults are either overweight or obese, the findings by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention "are a cause for concern," said the agency's director Brenda Fitzgerald.

"A majority of American adults weigh more than recommended -– and being overweight or obese puts people at higher risk for a number of cancers," she said in a statement.

"By getting to and keeping a healthy weight, we all can play a role in cancer prevention."

Carrying excess weight has been shown to boost the risk of 13 types of tumors, including cancers of the esophagus, thyroid, postmenopausal breast, gallbladder, stomach, liver, pancreas, kidney, ovaries, uterus, colon and rectum.

The rates of these overweight- and obesity-related cancers are rising, in contrast to the overall rate of new cancer cases which has dropped since the 1990s.

Colorectal cancer was the only weight-associated cancer that decreased from 2005-2014 -- falling 23 percent, due in large part to screening, said the report.

All other cancers linked to weight rose seven percent in that decade.

City offering to pay homeless a year's worth of rent if they leave town

The city wants the homeless to get out of town — and is offering to pay a full year’s rent to those willing to abandon the five boroughs.

Under a pilot program quietly launched last month, shelter residents who have been in the system for at least 90 days and have a source of income can get 12 months of rent paid up-front virtually anywhere they can find an apartment.

Their travel expenses to vamoose would also be paid under a program already in place known as Project Reconnect.

“The plan to send some families outside of New York City only speaks to the devastating lack of affordable housing here for low-income families,” said Giselle Routhier, policy director at the Coalition For The Homeless. “While it could be beneficial to a small subset of families, we would also be concerned about the short-term nature of the assistance and the stability of families at the end of the year.”

Florida A.G. wants no part of O.J. Simpson homecoming

LAS VEGAS — O.J. Simpson will live in Florida after he is released on parole from a Nevada prison where he has been held for the past nine years for a robbery conviction, his lawyer said Friday.

Attorney Malcolm LaVergne didn’t specify where the former sports and movie star would live, although Tom Scotto, a close friend who lives in Naples, Florida, has offered his home. Scotto didn’t respond to messages seeking comment.

“He’s going to Florida,” LaVergne said. “There’s no doubt he’s going to Florida.”

However, the state attorney general doesn’t want Simpson to come back. Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter Friday to the Florida Department of Corrections, urging it to tell Nevada officials that Florida objects to Simpson serving his parole in the southern state.

The Maryland Crab & Oyster Trail Highlights More Than 100 of the State’s Seafood Restaurants

ANNAPOLIS, MD –
Governor Larry Hogan today announced a new initiative focused on promoting Maryland’s outstanding seafood to domestic and international travelers. The Maryland Crab & Oyster Trail, which kicks off this month in celebration of National Seafood Month, features a virtual tour highlighting more than 100 of the state’s seafood restaurants, as well as seafood festivals held throughout the state during October.

“Maryland has a proud history of harvesting some of the world’s best seafood from the Chesapeake Bay, and this trail gives us a great opportunity to highlight our great state as a destination for seafood lovers,” said Governor Hogan. “Residents and visitors alike can plan a trip to the more than 100 destinations serving freshly harvested crabs and oysters, as well as the many seafood festivals taking place this month.”

The trail map is divided into five regional excursions. More than 100 markers denote restaurants across the state that serve steamed crabs, soft shell crabs, and fresh local oysters. The trail also features attractions that showcase the state’s heritage and history in connection with the seafood of the Chesapeake Bay and watershed.

Democratic Mayor Slams Librarian Who Rejected Dr. Seuss Books From Melania Trump: ‘Political Correctness at Its Worst’

The Democratic mayor of Springfield, Mass. on Thursday castigated the Cambridge school librarian who rejected First Lady Melania Trump's donation of ten Dr. Seuss books because they are "steeped in racist propaganda."

Trump donated the books to Cambridge Elementary School earlier this month as part of National Read a Book Day, but the school's librarian, Liz Phipps Soeiro, wrote Tuesday on the Horn Book's Family Reading blog that the collection should have gone to schools in underprivileged communities that are being "marginalized and maligned by policies put in place by Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos."

Soeiro added that "Dr. Seuss's illustrations are steeped in racist propaganda, caricatures, and harmful stereotypes," and rejected Trump's donation.

Sarno lambasted Soeiro in a press release Thursday evening, MassLive reported.

Father of ex-Louisville star: I was offered $100K from rival

The father of a former University of Louisville basketball star stood silent as the school weathered several scandals over the past few years, including allegations that an assistant coach hired escorts to entice recruits and the news that coach Rick Pitino was extorted by a former mistress he impregnated. But he worries that the latest allegation — that players took money from Adidas to attend the Kentucky school — could taint his son and his former teammates forever. Here the dad — who, to protect his son’s identity, asked that his own name not be revealed — shares his fears and recalls his experience as the father of a top-ranked recruit — including being offered bribes by another university.

WHEN my son was in high school, I was approached at an AAU tournament by someone from a rival of Louisville’s. He said, “If you want to go to our school, we can get you $100,000.”

But I never considered it, so I didn’t ask for details.

Paul Craig Roberts Warns Americans: "Oligarchic Rule Prevails Regardless Of Electoral Outcomes"

Do the Wall Street Journal’s editorial page editors read their own newspaper?

The frontpage headline story for the Labor Day weekend was “Low Wage Growth Challenges Fed.” Despite an alleged 4.4% unemployment rate, which is full employment, there is no real growth in wages. The front page story pointed out correctly that an economy alleged to be expanding at full employment, but absent any wage growth or inflation, is “a puzzle that complicates Federal Reserve policy decisions.”

On the editorial page itself, under “letters to the editor,” Professor Tony Lima of California State University points out what I have stressed for years: “The labor-force participation rate remains at historic lows. Much of the decrease is in the 18-34 age group, while participation rates have increased for those 55 and older.”

Canadian cop who was run over and stabbed by terrorist

The Canadian cop who was brutally run over and stabbed by a lone-wolf terrorist with an Islamic State group flag has been named as Constable Mike Chernyk.

Chernyk's shocking attack - which saw him flying through the air before being knifed as he lay prone on the ground - was captured on CCTV on Saturday night near near Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta, during a football game.

The suspect, who has now been identified as Somali refugee and previous extremist suspect Abdulahi Hasan Sharif, 30, then fled and obtained a U-Haul truck.

When he was stopped in that vehicle by police, Sharif sped off again and plowed into a crowd, injuring four, before he was arrested.

Miraculously, Chernyk, 48, has now been released from hospital - as have two of those struck by the truck.

Federal contractor fined for illegally donating $200,000 to pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC

Federal Election Commission officials have fined a federal contractor on Thursday for donating $200,000 to a Hillary Clinton super PAC, setting a historic precedent.

Federal contractors are prohibited from donating to political groups under the federal laws.

A Massachusetts-based company, Suffolk Construction, was fined $34,000 for making two $100,000 donations in 2015 to a pro-Clinton Priorities USA Action group while having a million-dollar government contract.

The company has been awarded more than $168 million in government contracts since 2008 and held a contract with the Department of Defense worth more than $1.2 million between at the time of the donations, according to an FEC letter published by the Campaign Legal Center.

Priorities USA Action is known as one of the Democratic Party's most powerful PACs that supported Barack Obama in 2012, and was the leading pro-Clinton group during the 2016 presidential elections, spending more than $126 million against now-President Donald Trump.

Klayman Slams 'Unconstitutional' Moves to Protect Mueller

Democratic efforts to protect Russia special counsel Robert Mueller are "unconstitutional," former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman told Newsmax TV on Thursday.

"The power to appoint Mueller, the power to remove him lies with the Justice Department," Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, told "Newsmax Now" host Bill Tucker in an interview.

He said he has filed complaints with the federal Office of Professional Responsibility against Mueller because of the leaks in the Moscow probe.

"He should be removed for that — and he can be prosecuted for that," Klayman told Tucker.

12 Things About Dementia People Wish They'd Known Earlier

Perhaps you've heard the phrases, "What you don't know can't hurt you" or "Ignorance is bliss." While that may be true some of the time, it's often not accurate when coping with dementia. Having worked with thousands of people impacted byAlzheimer's or another type of dementia, I can testify to the fact that there are definitely things that, as caregivers, they wish they would have known earlier about dementia.

Here they are:

1. Arguing With Someone Who Has Dementia Isn't Worth It

It's so easy to become frustrated and angry with someone who has dementia, and then begin to argue with him to convince him of how he's wrong. This tendency is especially common when this person is a family member or close friend.

Instead, remember that dementia actually changes brain function, structure, and ability. You will rarely win an argument in dementia; rather, you will almost always increase the frustration levels of both of you. Spending time being angry and arguing in dementia is just not worth it.

2. Ignoring the Symptoms Won't Make Them Go Away

It's not uncommon to spend valuable time in the early stages and symptoms of dementia hoping that the symptoms will just go away, or trying to convince yourself that it is just a phase or that you're overreacting. This attempt to cope by denial of the problem may make things better for you in the short term of today, but it can delay the diagnosis of other conditions that look like dementia but are treatable, as well as delay diagnosis and treatment of true dementia.

Instead, remember that while it can be anxiety-provoking to schedule that appointment with the doctor, it can also be helpful to know what you're facing. Even having your worries confirmed by getting a diagnosis of dementia can actually be a good thing, since there are many benefits to early detection, including medications that are often more effective in the early stages.

3. Too Many Medications Can Make People Feel and Act More Confused
