Aldi pulls eggs from German stores over fipronil poison fear

Supermarket giant Aldi has withdrawn all eggs from sale from its stores in Germany as they may have been contaminated by insecticide.

Tests showed that the chemical fipronil, which can harm people's kidneys, liver and thyroid glands, was found in eggs from the Netherlands.

Fipronil is used to treat lice and ticks in chickens.

One German official said up to 10 million of the contaminated eggs may have been sold in Germany.

Christian Meyer, the agriculture minister for Lower Saxony, told German television that there was a risk to children if they ate two of the eggs a day.

Media Freak Out Over Sessions' Leak Hunt

Media figures expressed alarm on Friday after Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the Department of Justice is reviewing current policies about subpoenaing reporters as part of the investigation into leaks of classified information.

” I have listened to career investigators and prosecutors about how to most successfully investigate and prosecute these matters. At their suggestion, one of the things we are doing is reviewing policies affecting media subpoenas,” Sessions said at a press conference Friday morning.

“We respect the important role that the press plays and will give them respect, but it is not unlimited. They cannot place lives at risk with impunity. We must balance their role with protecting our national security and the lives of those who serve in our intelligence community, the armed forces, and all law abiding Americans.”

The number of U.S. children raped by illegal aliens is mind blowing

The statistics listed at the bottom of this article will blow your mind. They reflect the amount of rape and sexual assault charges racked up by illegal aliens in the state of North Carolina over the past 12 months. What makes the statistics all the worse, is that the rapes and sexual assaults were acted out on young children.

Next year will mark 10 years since I was first introduced to the problem of illegal immigration. Let me say without hesitation, I believe it is one of the greatest issues facing America.

I voted for Trump for many reasons, but the biggest of them all was to end the senseless and needless political correctness that muddies our country and allows illegal aliens to remain in the U.S.

We’ve all read the reports about how much it costs taxpayers to educate illegal aliens. We’ve all seen the media reports that come in from time to time about a murder, or a rape committed by an illegal alien who had been deported 10 times prior to the crime. But what we rarely read or see are the small stories that make the problem as bad as it is. These are the stories taking place every day in every town throughout the nation.

Subject: FOIA Dump Reveals Collusion Between Lynch, FBI And Media To Bury Bill Clinton Meeting

Back on June 29, 2016, Obama's Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, tried to convince us that the following 'impromptu' meeting between herself and Bill Clinton at the Phoenix airport, a private meeting which lasted 30 minutes on Lynch's private plane, was mostly a "social meeting" in which Bill talked about his grandchildren and golf game. It was not, under any circumstances, related to the statement that former FBI Director James Comey made just 6 days later clearing Hillary Clinton of any alleged crimes related to his agency's investigation.

But, according to a new DOJ FOIA dump just released by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), it looks increasingly as if nothing reported about this "social meeting" between Lynch and Clinton was grounded in fact...shocking, we know.

McMaster ‘Increasingly Volatile’ and ‘Frequently Blows His Top’

A new report reveals that President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, has grown “increasingly volatile” in the White House but that John Kelly, his chief of staff, has assured him his job is safe.

The negative stories surrounding his time in the White House are causing McMaster to lose his cool, according to a Politico report citing White House officials who have interacted with the general.

“McMaster, whose temper is legendary, frequently blows his top in high-level meetings,” the report notes, citing national security leaks that he believes undercut his authority.

County-Run Sports Facility’s Potential Economic Impact Touted In Report

SNOW HILL – A county-operated outdoor sports complex could have as much as a $23 million economic impact in Worcester County.

On Tuesday, Crossroads Consulting Services presented the Worcester County Commissioners with a report detailing the potential costs and revenues associated with a tournament-size sports complex. While some commissioners expressed concern over the $25-$30 million such a facility would cost to build, others stressed the importance of exploring sports tourism.

“Our big breadwinners are tourism and agriculture,” Commissioner Joe Mitrecic said. “Agriculture is going to hold its own, I hope, but as far as tourism goes we are at critical mass. The numbers aren’t going to change. In order for that to change, we’re going to have to change. We’re going to have to have some vision and look ahead. Sports tourism is the future.”

Baltimore Chaos - Ceasefire In "Violence-Plagued" City Starts Today

A ceasefire between Baltimore “gang leaders, drug dealers and others linked to the violence” has been agreed on and will come into effect on Friday.

This is an act of desperation from a community that is currently experiencing a homicide rate doubled of Chicago’s and a murder count higher than NYC. The ceasefire aims to stop the killings for at-least 72-hours, starting on August 04-06.

The slogan selected by organizers gets right to the point: “Nobody kill anybody”.

Violent crime in Baltimore has flourished over the past few years, due to the “Ferguson Effect”, along with the death of “Freddie Gray” that triggered Baltimore’s April 2015 riots.

According to the Economist, Baltimore may see more than 400 murders this year. This would indicate 2017 will be the deadliest year ever on record.

Sessions Orders Look into ‘DOJ Slush Fund’ Payments to Leftists

An internal Department of Justice memorandum obtained by Breitbart News Friday indicates Attorney General Jeff Sessions is trying to get to the bottom of the DOJ “slush fund” for left-wing groups he dismantled in June.

The memo asks all components of the DOJ to recount the last ten years of payments made to non-governmental organizations as third parties in settlements and provide that information to Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand, the number three Justice official. These “cy pres” payments were a long-standing policy of having mostly corporate defendants, for example in a civil rights suit, agree to pay into charities as part of their settlement with the government to avoid further prosecution.

In recent years, especially during the Obama administration, the practice increasingly funneled funds to left-wing “community organizing” groups such as the now renamed National Council of La Raza, or “The Race,” a Latino racial advocacy group that supports mass illegal immigration. Congressional Republicans and conservative groups decried the payments for years, often characterizing the system as a “slush fund” for leftists but, since they were made under the auspices of the Department of Justice using broad, decades-old legislation, it was difficult to rein in.

Massive Hole In The Sand Found Yesterday In Dewey Beach

Yesterday evening we found a 6ft. deep hole on the beach. We want to remind people that digging holes deeper than knee height of the person digging is prohibited & holes should be filled in. Sand collapses have killed dozens of people in the U.S. and injure many more. Large holes are also dangerous for emergency vehicles on the beach and keeps the beach rake tractor from properly cleaning the beach. Please Share.

ICE arrests 33 in western Michigan operation targeting criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants and immigration violators

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A Mexican national arrested in Wyoming, who has a prior conviction for fourth-degree child abuse and two convictions for child neglect, is among the 33 foreign nationals taken into custody during a four-day operation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) this week in western Michigan, targeting at-large criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants and other immigration violators.
Of those arrested during the operation, which was spearheaded by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), 24, or nearly 80 percent, had prior criminal convictions.
Criminal convictions of those arrested included, but are not limited to DUI, domestic battery, contempt of court,  possession of open intoxicants, criminal sexual conduct, child abuse – 4th degree, child neglect, destruction of property, domestic violence, larceny, false identity to law enforcement, and attempted identity theft, among other offenses.
Among those arrested were:
  • A 37-year-old Liberian male with a conviction for the offense of criminal sexual conduct, 3rd Degree. He was ordered removed from the United States in 2011, and will remain in ICE custody pending removal of the United States.
  • A 22-year-old Mexican female with convictions for operating without a license, two counts of child neglect, and child abuse, 4th degree.  She will remain in ICE custody pending the outcome of her removal proceedings.
  • A 20-year-old Salvadoran male with convictions for destruction of property, larceny, and false identity to law enforcement. He will remain in ICE custody pending the outcome of his removal proceedings.
The just concluded operation targeted public safety threats, such as convicted criminal aliens and individuals who have violated our nation’s immigration laws, including individuals who re-entered the country after being removed, other immigration violators, and immigration fugitives ordered deported by federal immigration judges.
“Operations like this one demonstrate ICE’s continued focus on the arrest of dangerous criminal aliens as well as those who enter the United States illegally,” said Rebecca Adducci, field office director for ERO in Detroit. “I’m grateful to serve with the men and women of ICE who selflessly put themselves in harm’s way to protect the communities we live and work in.”
Some of the individuals arrested during this week’s enforcement action will be presented for federal prosecution for re-entry after deportation, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Those not being criminally prosecuted will be processed for removal from the country. Individuals who have outstanding orders of deportation, or who returned to the United States illegally after being deported, are subject to immediate removal from the country.
The arrestees (28 men and five women) included nationals from four countries, Mexico (22), Guatemala (7), El Salvador (3), and Liberia.
ICE deportation officers conduct targeted enforcement operations every day in locations around the country as part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to protect the nation, uphold public safety and protect the integrity of our immigration laws and border controls.
During targeted enforcement operations, ICE officers frequently encounter additional suspects who may be in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws. Those persons will be evaluated on a case by case basis and, when appropriate, arrested by ICE.
ICE continues to focus its enforcement resources on individuals who pose a threat to national security, public safety and border security. ICE conducts targeted immigration enforcement in compliance with federal law and agency policy. However, as ICE Acting Director Thomas Homan has made clear, ICE does not exempt classes or categories of removable aliens from potential enforcement. All of those in violation of the immigration laws may be subject to immigration arrest, detention and, if found removable by final order, removal from the United States.

McMaster’s NSC Coup Against Trump Purges Critics of Islam and Obama

The National Security Council is becoming a national security threat.

Derek Harvey was a man who saw things coming. He had warned of Al Qaeda when most chose to ignore it. He had seen the Sunni insurgency rising when most chose to deny it.

The former Army colonel had made his reputation by learning the lay of the land. In Iraq that meant sleeping on mud floors and digging into documents to figure out where the threat was coming from.

It was hard to imagine anyone better qualified to serve as President Trump’s top Middle East adviser at the National Security Council than a man who had been on the ground in Iraq and who had seen it all.

Just like in Iraq, Harvey began digging at the NSC. He came up with a list of Obama holdovers who were leaking to the press. McMaster, the new head of the NSC, refused to fire any of them.

McMaster had a different list of people he wanted to fire. It was easy to make the list. Harvey was on it.

All you had to do was name Islamic terrorism as the problem and oppose the Iran Deal. If you came in with Flynn, you would be out. If you were loyal to Trump, your days were numbered.

And if you warned about Obama holdovers undermining the new administration, you were a target.

One of McMaster’s first acts at the NSC was to ban any mention of “Obama holdovers.” Not only did the McMaster coup purge Harvey, who had assembled the holdover list, but his biggest target was Ezra Watnick-Cohen, who had exposed the eavesdropping on Trump officials by Obama personnel.

DEA proposes reduction to amount of controlled substances to be manufactured in 2018

(WASHINGTON) – The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is proposing a reduction for controlled substances that may be manufactured in the U.S. next year by 20 percent as compared to 2017, per the proposed notice being published in the Federal Register on August 7, 2017 and available for public inspection today.

The DEA has proposed to reduce more commonly prescribed schedule II opioid painkillers, including oxycodone, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, hydromorphone, morphine, codeine, meperidine and fentanyl. Demand for these opioid medicines has dropped, according to sales data obtained by DEA from IMS Health, a company that provides insurance companies with data on prescriptions written and prescription medications sold in America.

“Physicians, pharmacists, and patients must recognize the inherent risks of these powerful medications, especially for long-term use,” said Acting Administrator Chuck Rosenberg. “More states are mandating use of prescription drug monitoring programs, which is good, and that has prompted a decrease in opioid prescriptions.”

State Department Officials Quitting Over “Complete and Utter Disdain for our Expertise”

The New York Times reported last Friday that “an exodus is underway” in the State Department. The Times didn’t think this was good news; it gave space to one career diplomat who lamented that there was “complete and utter disdain for our expertise.”

This could be the best news to come out of Washington since the Trump administration took office.

We can only hope that with the departure of these failed State Department officials, their failed policies will be swept out along with them. Chief among these is the almost universally held idea that poverty causes terrorism. The United States has wasted uncounted (literally, because a great deal of it was in untraceable bags full of cash) billions of dollars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Egypt, and other countries in the wrongheaded assumption that Muslims turn to jihad because they lack economic opportunities and education. American officials built schools and hospitals, thinking that they were winning over the hearts and minds of the locals.

Fifteen years, thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars later, no significant number of hearts and minds have been won. This is partly because the premise is wrong. The New York Times reported in March that “not long after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001…Alan B. Krueger, the Princeton economist, tested the widespread assumption that poverty was a key factor in the making of a terrorist. Mr. Krueger’s analysis of economic figures, polls, and data on suicide bombers and hate groups found no link between economic distress and terrorism.”

Maryland Department of Health releases 2017 first quarter fatal overdose data

Fentanyl-related deaths shows largest increase

Baltimore, MD – The Maryland Department of Health today released data for fatal overdoses in the first quarter of 2017. During this period, which encompasses January to March of 2017, there were 550 overdose-related deaths in the state, including 372 fentanyl-related deaths. The report is posted on the Department of Health website and can be accessed here.

“Fentanyl and synthetic drugs continue to claim the lives of Marylanders, many of whom are unknowingly consuming them,” said Health Secretary Dennis Schrader. “We implore Marylanders who are grappling with substance use disorder and are taking illicit substances to seek treatment immediately.”

Marylanders can find treatment resources at MdDestinationRecovery.org, BeforeItsTooLateMD.org, and the state crisis hotline, 1-800-422-0009.

The new quarterly data show how fentanyl, an additive that is often combined with other opioids, continues to drive the scourge of overdose deaths. Fentanyl and a related additive, carfentanil, are 50 and 100 times more potent than heroin, respectively. In 2016, Health issued a warning about such fentanyl consumption, later adding carfentanil to the list. Health continues to reinforce that warning.

U.S. Military Infiltrated By Alien Recruits?

On August 1, 2017, Fox News reported the worrying headline, "Pentagon investigators find ‘security risks’ in government's immigrant recruitment program, ‘infiltration’ feared."

Military bases are among the most sensitive facilities to be found in the United States. Classified materials, weapons and, of course, our members of the armed forces, can all be found on every military base. Time and again, we have seen terrorists in the Middle East carry out “insider attacks” by joining the military or police and then, when the opportunity presents itself, turn their weapons on their trainers and other soldiers.

Military training is highly prized and sought after by terrorists and criminals. Many terrorists travel around the world to attend terror training camps. Undoubtedly, the training our military recruits receive is a quantum leap above anything that terror training camps provide. Additionally, our soldiers learn the “playbook” employed by our military forces on the battlefield.

The thought that foreign terrorists may have successfully infiltrated our military and gained access to all of the above is highly disturbing, to put it mildly. One recruitment program, known as MAVNI (Military Accessions Vital to National Interest), has especially raised serious concerns in this context. Under this program, according to the Defense Department:

Kidney Donor: ‘It Was Nice To Do Something For Someone Else’

Baby sitters accused of putting flea-infested kids in U-Haul

ELYRIA – Four children are in foster care and one was being treated for heat exhaustion at the hospital after city employees discovered them in the cargo area of a U-Haul.

Matthew Pearce and Nicholas Vealey, both full-time employees in the city’s Street Department, are credited with saving the lives of the five children whose caretakers have since been charged with child endangerment.

The children – ages 15, 6, 4, 3 and 2 – all were suffering from fleas, bedbugs, lice and some had ringworm. The 2-year-old was treated for heat exhaustion at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center and then flown by LifeFlight to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland where Capt. Chris Costantino said the child remained as of Thursday.

At the time of the incident, the children were in the care of Jamie Adkins and Brian Dekam.

GAG! California Secession Movement: ‘Our Values Are Different’ Than The United States

Part of me wants to tell California to go for it if they truly want to secede. But that is never going to happen. Despite what the CalExit movement may think or protest, the Golden State is part of the United States by law. They can’t just go to the UN and declare they are their own country. We have military bases there and the coastline is strategically important to the U.S. Should they actually get enough moonbats to support this, then it would be time to send the National Guard in and take control of the state.

Tucker Carlson took on one of the leaders of the CalExit movement, Shankar Singram. He can say their values are different than ours all he wants and claim to disregard our laws as a nation, but in the end, he won’t get a say in that. And that is the actual reality here. It will be interesting to see if Californians actually vote for this. I doubt they will, but then again, it is the land of fruit and nuts. If I were President Trump, if this does get voted for, I would view it as an uprising and act accordingly.

Wasserman Schultz Says Laptop Was Awan's

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz never actually saw the computer she fought to block the Capitol Police from examining as evidence in a criminal case against her IT aide by saying it was hers, she told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Thursday.

She threatened “consequences” on May 18 for the chief of the Capitol Police unless the laptop was returned — despite police contending it was needed to help determine whether a staffer may have violated the House’s cybersecurity.

“This was not my laptop. I have never seen that laptop. I don’t know what’s on the laptop,” she said Thursday. She said it was Imran’s laptop but purchased using taxpayer funds from her office.

BIG Thank You Going Out to Trump On His “Courageous” Transgender BAN From Retired Generals

Donald Trump announced that transgender Americans would not be allowed to serve in the military. And while most Americans applauded the policy, liberals lost their minds, making nonsensical comparisons to Viagra and whining about how unfair it is. But it seems that the military overwhelmingly supports the measure, including retired generals, who thanked him for it.

A letter was delivered to Trump, signed by half a dozen retired generals and admirals expressing their gratitude for his decision on transgender service members.

“We write today to express our gratitude to you for making the extremely courageous decision to reverse President (Barack) Obama’s transgender social experiment,” the letter read. “There may be an enormous amount of vitriol directed at you for making this policy correction, but please know that overturning this policy may have done more in the long-term to save the culture and war-fighting capacity of the U.S. military than perhaps any other military policy you will adopt as president.”

Half the candidates in Detroit mayoral election are felons, analysis shows

Half the candidates in next week’s Detroit mayoral primary have been convicted of felony crimes, according to a local analysis.

The Detroit News found three of the eight mayoral hopefuls have faced gun charges -- two for assault with intent to commit murder -- and a fourth candidate pleaded guilty to a non-gun charge years ago. While some of these cases date back to the 1970s, some are more recent.

Under Michigan state election law, convicted felons can vote and run for office, so long as they are not incarcerated or guilty of crimes breaching public trust. The nonpartisan primary will narrow the field down to two candidates who will face off in November.

The candidates are apparently open about their histories. Greg Bowens, a political consultant and former press secretary to former Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer, told The Detroit News that the rap sheets aren't unique to this election or Detroit.

Ravens fans react to controversial tweet from Colin Kaepernick's girlfriend

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - A controversial tweet posted by the girlfriend of NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is sparking plenty of reaction from Baltimore Ravens fans as the team considers whether to sign the polarizing player.

The Ravens are looking for a backup quarterback who could fill in for Joe Flacco, who has suffered back problems during training camp.

Kaepernick was severely criticized last year for kneeling during the national anthem prior to NFL games in protest of police brutality.

American Psychoanalytic Association has lifted ban on members commenting on president’s mental state

Once upon a time there was a big and important US Republican party politician who was seen as being dangerously right-wing, who made incendiary comments about minority groups and who was disavowed by all moderate members of his own party. A number of prominent psychiatrists lined up to explain why he “psychologically unfit to be president”. He was “emotionally unstable” and a “dangerous lunatic” they said.

These comments about Barry Goldwater’s mental state, which were carried in a 1964 article in Fact magazine damaged his US presidential campaign that year – Goldwater lost in a landslide to the incumbent Lyndon B Johnson.

Goldwater later sued Fact magazine for libel and won his case. Since then, a “Goldwater Rule” has been in place – it prohibits psychiatrists from giving opinions about the mental state of public figures they have not personally evaluated.

This week though the American Psychoanalytic Association told its 3,500 members that they should no longer be bound by the decades-old Goldwater rule. Past president of the association, Prudence Gourguechon, said that the rule change was necessary because Donald Trump’s behaviour “is so different from anything we’ve seen before”.

Unleashing a bunch of Freudians on Trump’s psyche may look good on a PR release but is about as useful as the pseudoscience of psychoanalysis is itself.

And they’re a bit late to the bun fight – plenty of psychiatrists have already gone rogue by openly flouting the Goldwater rule.

At a conference in Yale University in April, prominent psychiatrists stated publicly that Trump had a “dangerous mental illness”, was “paranoid and delusional” and that mental health experts had an “ethical responsibility” to warn the US people about the “dangers” Trump poses to the country.

Feminist Writer Says White Men Shouldn’t Have Right To Vote

Malia Rolt is a “hardcore feminist” who supports the Black Lives Matter movement. That, on its face, isn’t controversial. Her views are the part that has a lot of people up in arms.

She has recently penned a pieced for Affinity magazine questioning whether white men actually deserve to vote. Oddly, she doesn’t consider it wrong to remove the ability to vote from a group of people based on their race or sex. Hypocrisy? Anyone?

Rolt describes herself in her biography as “A 16 year old Asian teenager who is passionate about social justice and politics. A hardcore feminist, #BLM supporter and LGBTQ+ rights advocate. I also love chocolate, Ariana Grande and cats.”

I feel like I need to note that “Malia Rolt” is also an anagram for “I am a troll” so just throwing that out there. Perhaps coincidence, or perhaps Affinity Magazine is being trolled. My suspicions are also aroused by her profile picture on Twitter, which is actually an image of Normani Kordei from Fifth Harmony. She claims it’s because she’s a fan of the woman, but if you want to be a public figure, you really shouldn’t use pictures of other people. It’s suspicious and shady.

Molina Healthcare Exits Obamacare Exchanges in Two States, Experiences $230 Million Loss

Molina Healthcare has announced it is exiting the Obamacare exchanges in Utah and Wisconsin and has experienced a $230 million loss in the second quarter of 2017.

In the remaining Obamacare exchanges, the health insurer is planning to increase premiums by 55 percent next year, which will account for the loss of cost-sharing reduction subsidies. If the program was funded, premiums would only increase by 30 percent.

"We are disappointed with our bottom-line results for this quarter and have taken aggressive and urgent steps to substantially improve our financial performance going forward," said Joseph White, chief executive and financial officer of the company.

"Following a thorough review of our business operations, we have begun to implement a Company-wide restructuring plan that we expect will reduce annualized run-rate expenses by between $300 million and $400 million by late 2018 when fully implemented."

Survey of 20 House Dem Candidates Finds Only One Willing to Vote for Pelosi to Remain Leader

A survey of 20 Democratic House candidates found only one willing to vote for Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) to remain leader of the House Democratic Caucus, and one who would vote for someone else.

The other 18 declined to say whether they would vote for Pelosi, McClatchy reports. Kia Hamadanchy, the lone Pelosi supporter and a former Senate staffer, is running in California's 45th district, which includes parts of Orange County.

By contrast, Kenneth Harbaugh, who is running in Ohio's seventh district, was unequivocal in his opposition to Pelosi.

"We are overdue for a new generation of leadership," he said. "We have a remarkable opportunity in front of us, and it's going to take new thinking and new leadership to capitalize on it."

Overcrowding situation evicts J-1 students

Roughly 20 Irish students in Ocean City on J-1 visas found themselves looking for shelter two weeks ago after they were evicted from downtown Ocean City apartments for exceeding city government’s maximum occupancy rule.

“We were joking the other day that if there was a fire, we’d die because there was furniture and suitcases everywhere,” said Aoife Kennelly, a 21-year-old student. “We used to bring people in and have a laugh, ‘look at how small our apartment is.’ We thought apartments here were supposed to be that small.”

Kennelly and her friends, Cliona O’Callaghan and Leah O’Keefe, were among the dozens of Irish students living in an apartment complex on St. Louis Avenue. The trio said they found the apartment through online advertisements, where it was advertised as being able to accommodate seven to nine people.

Dems Invite Lifers to the Party

When the GOP stumbled on its biggest priority of the year, most people thought they'd handed the Left a huge political opportunity. Unfortunately for Democrats, they're too busy fighting over abortion to seize it. While the Republicans walk a rocky road after the health care collapse, it's not exactly a picnic at the DNC, where a civil war is brewing over the party's decision to back 2018 pro-lifers.

Ben Ray Lujan, who has the unenviable job of trying to win back the House from the GOP, knows that picking up 24 seats means a major reboot on the party's social agenda. November should have been proof enough, but, like most liberals, Lujan didn't really get the message until pro-life Democrat Heath Mello lost a mayoral race in Nebraska -- the casualty of a fierce inner-party squabble over abortion. Not anxious to repeat that mistake, Lujan's Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) may as well have detonated a bomb when he announced, "There is not a litmus test for Democratic candidates... As we look at candidates across the country, you need to make sure you have candidates that fit the district -- that can win in these districts across America."

Feminists, abortion groups, and celebrities blew a gasket, demanding that Lujan walk back the diversity their party was supposedly built on. An outraged Rosie O'Donnell tried to start a grassroots rebellion on Twitter, calling on women to leave the Democratic Party. "Fight the men who want to take away women's rights IN OUR OWN PARTY? [Expletive] them for even considering it. Seriously." Lujan, meanwhile, insisted that toning down the extremism that cost Hillary Clinton the White House was the only path to victory. "To pick up 24 [seats] and to get to 218, that is the job. We'll need a broad coalition to get that done. We are going to need all of that, we have to be a big family in order to win the House back."

**Traffic Advisory** – Troopers Investigating Serious Crash – Delmar – Update

Delmar - The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate a two vehicle crash which claimed the life of an unidentified man yesterday evening east of Delmar.

The investigation at this point has determined that the crash occurred on Friday, August 4, 2017, at approximately 6:47 p.m., as Mario Martinez-Jimenez, 32, of Mexico, was operating a 2002 Ford Expedition and was traveling in a southbound direction on CR66 (Pepperbox Road), approaching a posted stop sign at the intersection of SR30 (Whitesville Road), approximately 3 miles east of Delmar. As the Expedition reached the intersection, Martinez-Jimenez failed to stop at the stop sign. As a result, the left hand side of the Expedition was struck by the front of a 2011 Ford F-150, which was being operated by a 75-year-old Laurel man, and which was traveling in a westbound direction on Whitesville Road. The Ford Expedition was then forced off of the southwest corner of the intersection as it rotated in a clockwise direction and overturned onto its right hand side. The Ford F-150 also rotated in a counter-clockwise direction and exited the southwest corner of the intersection where it came to rest.

An unidentified rear seat male passenger in the Ford Expedition, who was not properly restrained at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name will be released after positive identification is made and his next of kin is notified.

LA made $1.3B in illegal immigrant welfare payouts in just 2 years

Illegal immigrant families received nearly $1.3 billion in Los Angeles County welfare money during 2015 and 2016, nearly one-quarter of the amount spent on the county’s entire needy population, according to data obtained by Fox News.

The data was obtained from the county Department of Public Social Services -- which is responsible for doling out the benefits -- and gives a snapshot of the financial costs associated with sanctuary and related policies.

The sanctuary county of Los Angeles is an illegal immigration epicenter, with the largest concentration of any county in the nation, according to a study from the Migration Policy Institute. The county also allows illegal immigrant parents with children born in the United States to seek welfare and food stamp benefits.

Robert Rector, a Heritage Foundation senior fellow who has written extensive studies on poverty and illegal immigration, said the costs represent “the tip of the iceberg.”

Amazon's New Refund Policy will 'crush' Small Business

Amazon sellers are up in arms over a new returns policy that will make it easier for consumers to send back items at the merchant's expense.

Marketplace sellers who ship products from their home, garage or warehouse — rather than using Amazon's facilities — were told this week by email that starting Oct. 2, items they sell will be "automatically authorized" for return.

That means a buyer will no longer need to contact the seller before sending an item back, and the merchant won't have the opportunity to communicate with the customer. If a consumer is returning an electronic device because it's difficult to use, for example, the seller won't be able to offer help before being forced to pay a refund.

"Customers will be able to print a prepaid return shipping label via the Online Return Center instantly," the email said.

Additionally, Amazon said that it's introducing "returnless refunds," a feature that the company said is "highly requested by sellers." The change enables sellers to offer a refund without taking back an item that may be expensive to ship and hard to resell.

Planned Parenthood: Teach your preschoolers 'their genitals don’t determine their gender'

Apparently children as young as 4 are not too young to be told that gender and sex are different and that their genitals don't indicate their gender, according to new Planned Parenthood guidelines for parents.

On a page of its website titled “How do I talk with my preschooler about their body?” the abortion provider says if a child inquires why boys and girls have different bodies, a parent should introduce the concept of transgender identity.

“While the most simple answer is that girls have vulvas and boys have penises/testicles, that answer isn’t true for every boy and girl,” the organization says. “Boy, girl, man and woman are words that describe gender identity, and some people with the gender identities ‘boy’ or ‘man’ have vulvas, and some with the gender identity ‘girl’ or ‘woman’ have penises/testicles. Your genitals don’t make you a boy or a girl.”

Sen. Ron Johnson: Media, Dems Are Sabotaging Trump Administration

Media organizations and Democratic lawmakers have been trying to bring down the Trump administration since President Donald Trump took office, Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told Newsmax TV.

During an appearance on "The Joe Pags Show," Johnson said the efforts have drastically slowed the confirmation process for presidential nominees — and something needs to be done about it.

"I think there has been a concerted effort to sabotage this administration since day one on the part of many in the media and of course our Democrat colleagues in the House and Senate," Johnson said.

Johnson, who chairs the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, said he would like to see the nuclear option — which limits the number of votes needed to 51 from 60 — invoked for sub-cabinet and lower court nominees.

Understaffing within the Trump administration has been an issue for months, and Republicans claim Democrats are holding up the process.

Well I'll Be Damned!

We have to wonder when 2016 stats will be published, or will they be forgotten? I say that because 2016 is not available. I'll add, only 1 rape at Salisbury University in 2014, really? Well anyway, you decide if you buy the above information.

Boy Mayor Day Only Cares About Downtown & Chain Link Fences

Joe-
I know the zoo is busy looking for their missing owl at this time, but could volunteers, Boy Scouts or some group volunteer to garden the zoo sign? Salisbury embarrasses themselves enough. Do we really need to include the zoo too? Please help the zoo!

Publishers Notes: It never ceases to amaze me how the City wants to fine you for weeds growing in your curbs or sidewalks but rarely do you ever see them maintaining their own property. Remember last week when the children in the Mayors office pounded their chest because after two decades they finally realized they should pull weeds in just one area of Salisbury. Well here's yet another example of abuse. The Zoo Director should be FIRED immediately and if the Staff doesn't want to keep the Zoo maintained, fire them too.

LEGENDARY COMMENTS BY GEORGE CHEVALLIER 8-5-17

Dorman & Smyth Hardware Co.

There is a building in downtown Salisbury on the SE corner of W. Main and Market Streets that was built in the late 19th Century as the Dorman & Smyth Hardware Co. It is now unoccupied. Ann Taylor had done for this building what time tried to undo. Any building needs constant attention over the years and the sturdiness of this building gave her a sound basis from which to start. At one time it was home to the Thomas R. Young store. They sold pianos and sheet music for many years. The heavy beams visible in the lower level attest to the fact that it was used for some heavy duty when it was a hardware store and this probably made it an ideal store for pianos.

The post card above shows the store about 1907. It was one of the first buildings erected after the devastating fire of 1886 that leveled most of downtown Salisbury. The picture shows the stone construction that was mandatory by the change in the city charter to avoid another disastrous fire.

Below are some of the particulars of the principals in the business.

Levin W. Dorman (wife – Alice)
President of School Board 1892-97
Home address (1907) 302 N. Division St.
(house number changed in Oct. 1952 to 204 N. Division St.)
Died in the early 1930’s – age 83

His photo was found in the “photographic album” of
Jehu Parsons (mayor of Salisbury, 1898-1900).

The photograph of Jehu Parsons from this album
is the one seen hanging in the third floor of the Government Office Building along with the other former mayors of Salisbury.

Since both men appear to be in their early 20’s,
the photograph was probably taken around 1870.

Samuel S. Smyth (wife – Lillie)
Home address (1907) 108 W. Isabella St.
(house number changed in Oct. 1952 to 110 W. Isabella St.)

Died in early 1930’s – age 77

I'm Tired Of LIARS Claiming They Are Delmarva's News Leader

It's very simple, post your traffic and stop BS-ing people. We're also tired of people like Boy Mayor Jake Day claiming we don't get the traffic we say we do, yet the Boy refuses to come to my office to see the numbers for himself, how convenient. So instead we've published our traffic to prove for a fact we do what we say we do.

As for the other media sources who tout TRUST, no, you are LIARS. Find another slogan because you are not the news leader, period. The only way you can become Delmarva's news leader is to make an offer to buy me out. Until then, swallow your pride and admit, one guy took on several media professional organizations and we have CRUSHED you in a very big way.

The smart business owners get on board and buy an ad for $100.00 a month and enjoy home runs consistently. Business owners are starting to recognize they are throwing their money away on television and print advertising. 410-430-5349

President Trump Weekly Address 8-4-17

Kicking the Habit: Is there a supplement that can help with my sugar cravings?

Q: I know that too much sugar in my diet is a bad idea, but I get awful sugar cravings, and don’t know how to fight them. I want to take steps to lower my sugar intake, and to diminish cravings.

Is there a supplement I can take to help reduce the cravings?

A: First, let’s have a frank discussion about sugar. Sugar is one of the most addictive substance on the planet. We used to think it was cocaine, but sugar has that beat! This is why, as with any addiction, complete avoidance is warranted.

The most effective way to beat sugar cravings first and foremost, is abstinence. You probably don’t believe it now, but eliminating sugar entirely can greatly reduce the false hunger we call craving—if you let it. Enough time must pass for cravings to relent, and everyone responds differently..

West Virginia governor switches to GOP during Trump rally

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice says he’s switching parties to join the Republicans as President Donald Trump visited the increasingly conservative state.

Justice told about 9,000 Trump supporters at a rally in Huntington on Thursday night that he will be changing his registration Friday.

He says that he recently visited the White House twice with proposals on manufacturing and coal, that neither he nor Trump are politicians and they both ran to get something done.

FedEx Ditching Most Holiday Shipping Surcharges This Year

It’s only August, but already the holiday shipping wars are heating up: After UPS announced recently that it would be tacking on new surcharges during the busiest time of the year, FedEx says it won’t be adding extra fees on most packages shipped near the holidays.

On Thursday, FedEx noted that it won’t add on special charges for most packages shipped between Nov. 20 and Dec. 24.

That means that Standard FedEx Express and FedEx Ground residential shipments won’t be subject to any extra surcharges. Instead, FedEx will only tack on surcharges for packages that require additional handling or are oversized.

In contrast, UPS will be charging “Peak” rates during certain periods: Between Nov. 19 and Dec. 2., it’ll cost $0.27 per package for all ground shipments sent to residential addresses.

The surcharges then go away during the early December lull, but return with a vengeance for last-minute shoppers: Between Dec. 17-23, there’s a $.27 surcharge for ground shipments, $.81 for Next-Day Air, and a $.97 fee for two- or three-day delivery.

Marijuana Company Turning Entire Town Into Pot Tourism Destination

If the idea of a marijuana-friendly town gives you an anticipatory buzz, you may consider taking a trip to California, where one municipality is slated to become one big pot tourism destination.

Recreational marijuana will be legal in California as of Jan. 1, and in an effort to take advantage of the impending green rush, American Green Inc. — a company that makes cannabis products like body balms, pet treats, and mints — has purchased the entire town of Nipton for $5 million, Bloomberg reports.

The goal is to turn it into a weed-friendly tourism spot over the next 18 months by using some existing structures and building others, all powered by renewable energy.

For example, a new facility will make water infused with Cannabidiol or CBD, which doesn’t make you feel stoned but is believed to have medical benefits. There are plans for edible marijuana products, retail stores, and even artist-in-residence programs as well.

Maybe We Don’t Need To Take So Many Prescription Drugs

Do you take any prescription drugs? If so, you’re in the majority in this country. Drugs are life-saving or life-lengthening interventions most of the time, but can also interact with each other and cause further health problems.

Our colleagues down the hall at Consumer Reports took a nationally representative phone survey of adults, and found that most people are on multiple medications, yet haven’t had all of them reviewed by a health care professional, and that different prescribers that we see may pile on more drugs instead of trying lifestyle interventions that may work as well or better without side effects.

Half of Terror Plots in Germany by ‘Refugees’

More than half (54 per cent) of terror plots in Germany have involved asylum seekers and refugees since 2014 and the onset of the migrant crisis.

The report, by the Heritage Foundation think tank, found that attacks across Europe by foreign trained militants increased dramatically in 2016, following the height of the migrant influx, with Germany becoming a much more popular target.

“The increase in the threat to Germany is especially stark,” the report’s authors write. “There were no plots in Germany in 2014, and only two in 2015. In 2016, this increased eightfold.

“There is a straightforward reason for this: In 2015, Germany took in over 1 million refugees and 2016 saw a surge in plots involving refugees.”

Plots in Germany comprised just 5 per cent of those in Europe in 2015, shooting up to 27 per cent in 2016. In fact, the nation faced more plots in 2016 alone than in the decade and a half between 2000 and 2015, with civilian rather than government targets most common.
