Today, the Public Works Department at the Landfill were up to what seems very suspicious activity and became quite bothered when I arrived and started taking pictures.
In fact, one of the upper managers, (I'll assume) who had given me a hard time the last time I was out there confronted me again today and asked what the hell I was doing? I happened to be on my cell phone when he started giving me the third degree and I said, what's your name Sir? He replied, that's not important, you need to leave. I stated I was on a public road, (nicely) and he continued to demand that I leave. I asked again, can I get your name please? NO! I said, if that's how you're going to be, I'm not leaving until I get your name, will you give me your name please? He replied, Mike Hayman. I immediately said, thank you Mike, I appreciate that very much. Now, are you asking me to move? He stated I was in the way, which I was not. I was certainly not in any ones way But I said, where would you like me to go? He pointed behind me and I immediately moved my vehicle.
The next thing I knew, he had returned and pulled directly behind me, came to my vehicle on foot and said, you have to leave and you cannot return until you have written permission from Rick Pollitt to be here! I responded, now Mike, this is a public road and I have every right to be here. He said, leave and get a note from Rick, you cannot be here.
Well Folks, you know me, I stayed right there and I called Rick's Office and by all means they stated immediately, you have them call me and I'll get it straight. I walked up to Mike and said, I think you better call Mr. Pollitt's Office, I'm not going anywhere.
If you'll recall photos I've produced over the last two week on the Landfill and the run off all the way to the River, out of nowhere today they chose to BLOCK OFF that passageway from the stream that runs down Brick Kiln Road, as seen in photos above. They have placed a huge diesel pump into that stream that pulls directly off on the second pond from the huge lake at the Landfill and they are now pumping that water into a recently cleared out field across the street. The photos don't lie.
I have been in contact with Mr. Jim Fineran who stated to me this has to do with the new collector road and not from the lake at the Landfill but I was there, WMDT was there and quite frankly, this water is being pumped as a result of water from the lake at the Landfill, period.
There was a ton of rain over the weekend and something strange is going on? What I can tell you is, they cut off the path to the River and used huge pieces of equipment to do so. I'm going to make another trip half way down stream and see if the flow has been restricted. If it has, I'll have my answer.
I should be fair and state the following, which came directly from Jim Fineran. Keep in mind, this is what he has been told. "I have been reassured that today’s water moving has nothing to do with your (or 47’s) story. It is part of the prep for the West Side Collector Road. It should be over by tomorrow…Wednesday latest."
Thanks Jim.
